Passing Drop Down this.value to ToggleFilter

So I have a dropdown (one of many elements. Mulitple filters in the AND mode going on). I want to pass the value of the dropDown onto the filter function but it has to pass through the ToggleFilter.
The drop down has this attached to it
onchange="ToggleFilter(this.checked,ffDropDown,this.value);"
Goes to ToggleFilter that does this:

I see the correct incomingSearch value from the alert. I just need to know how to pass it onto the ffDropDown. The way I have it now doesnt work. How can I pass that value into the filter?

Change that to
onchange="newXPath(this.value)"value
Then create a function that will change the value of the XPath and reload the dataset as per

Change values of drop down list when other drop-down list value is clicked

I look for my requirement very much but I can't find. I think it must be very simple but I can't do it, please help :
I have to custom added fields. Both of them is made drop-down list by picklist defined in GET_P...methods.
When I click and select a value from the first drop-down list, I want that second drop-down values are fully changed, depend on what I select in the first list. If I select my value and press enter in the first drop down box, I can do my requirement with GET_V...method. But if I don't press enter, the values of second list doesn't change, they remain same. I want exactly that when I click and select a value from first drop-down list, second drop-down list values are automatically change, dependent on what selected. Do I have to define and event?? where and how, please help me..

You must have created the field as a dropdown using the below code in the get_p method.
CASE iv_property.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter~fp_fieldtype.
        rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_picklist.
ENDCASE.
Here you need to add the below lines of code along with the previous code. for the first dropdown value
IF iv_property = if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_server_event.
    rv_value = 'DDLB_CLICK'.
ENDIF.
This would refresh the screen when the user selects any value from the dropdown.

I have 2 WAD.
WAD1 has - i drop down and 1 hyper link to WAD2
WAD2 has - just 1 analysis item to display a quey output.
one value in WAD1-drop down to be selected and when the WAD1-lhyper ink is clicked, this value to get passed to WAD2 as filter value for that data provider .
i am not able to implement this.

Passing drop down values to email in Lifecycle 8

Hello,
I have a form which i have been playing with but havent got it quite working how i would like.
I have an access database with dealer name, dealer code, and fmt email. What I have the form doing is displaying the dealer name in a drop down box using dynamic properties with the value being the fmt email. The submit button grabs the rawValue of the drop down and makes it the recipient.
This bit works fine. The problem is, when the form is emailed, the drop down list does not display the selected value. There are five fmt email groups, and 130 dealers. This works out to on average about 25 dealers per group. I am pretty sure the problem is due to when the form is submitted, it maintains the value of the drop down, but since it is not unique, it reverts to the top of the group which was selected as it cannot distinguish which one was actualy chosen.
I tried then using a unique identifier for the drop down, (such as dealer code) making it populate another form, then try and grab the displayed text from that field for the email instead of the rawValue, but I have had no success.
Can anybody please give me some ideas on how i should tackle this? Locking drop down after selection?

OK, I have progressed further using the editvalue command. This works great in Adobe Professional, but in reader it does not grab the eidtvalue (the displayed text) rather it seems to get the rawvalue.
Does any body know why this is the case?
I would love to get a reply from someone this time!

Help needed in Drop down list value input

My problem is, I added a field on a screen as a drop down list box and passed all the values to it. Everything is fine. But I need to display the field like if there are no input values to be used by the user, the user should be able to enter some value manually which is not in the list. I'm unable to get this facility. Plzz Help me out.

Drop down list value dependant on value in another drop down list

I am not familiar with Java Script so if anyone can advise me on this I would be grateful. I am using ADobe Livecycle V8.0.
I have two drop down lists - DDL1 and DDL2.
The choices in DDL1 are "High, Medium, Low, None"
The choices in DDL2 are "Positive, Negative, None"
If "None" is selected in DDL1 I want DDL2 to display "None".
If any of the other values are selected in DDL1, then I don't want anything autofilled in DDL2.

This should do the trick:
in the "change" event of DropDownList1, put this:

// maybe you prefer the last one
Note that generally dropdown boxes have the first or last element empty/default; this way, when you script the "else" part, you can easily reset DropDownList2.

Adding Drop Down List values from table fields

Hi all,
Recently we have switched from Microsoft's Infopath to Adobe's LiveCycle Designer. In InfoPath i was able to allow a user to enter data in a table and then use that data as values for a drop downlist, which could in turn be used in another table. Infopath made it relatively easy to do this, but I assume it requires scripting in LiveCycle. Here is an example that make make it easier to to explain:
Let's say we have a form with a table that has a colomn where the user can enter a value in a table let's say "Computer Name":
Computer Name | IP | Vendor | Serial Number|
PC 1
---------------------| 192.168.2.34| HP | US4839494
PC 2
PC 3
PC 4
Further down the form there is a nother table with a drop down list. I want the values of the drop down list to be what ever values were entered for "Computer Name" in the previous table. So in this case the table would look like this:
Computer Name | Acquisition Date| End of Life Date
<Drop DownList>| 07/21/2010 | 07/21/2014
The drop downlist values would be "PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4" or whatever values were entered in the previous table. Essentially, I am trying to avoid from having users type in "Computer Name" data every time the "Computer Name" needs to be entered. It would be so much easier to enter all "Computer Name" values and then use those values as part of a drop down list to avoid excessive typing.
I hope this makes sense, it is fairly easy to do in InfoPath and I am sure there is a way to do this in LiveCycle.

Thanks for the feedback, but it doesn't seem to quite accomplish what I am trying to do. I've tried using global binding as you specified, but the outcome is not exactly what I want. Perhaps this drawing can help depict what I am trying to do:

Dynamic table with dynamic drop-down list values

I need to display a dynamic table with 2 columns on an interactive form.
My Context is defined as below:
Root
StudentData     0..n
StudentName
StudentCourses     0..n
Text
Value
The 1st column should display student name, 2nd column should display student courses. The courses will be different for each student. I populated the context properly. I checked it by printing them. My DDL is bound to "Student Courses".
When there is one row -> The DDL is populated with the courses of student 1 (as there is only one).
When there are more rows -> The DDLs for all the students are populated with all the courses of all the students.
I want to see the data populated like:
TEXTFIELD    DROP-DOWN LIST
Student 1------Student1-Course1
Student1-Course2
Student1-Course3
Student 2------Student2-Course1
Student2-Course2
Student2-Course3
I tried to do this in plain web dynpro using SVS.. it is also working similarly.
I have set the singleton property of nodes "StudentData" and "StudentCourses" to false.
Could any one tell me where I am going wrong?

I'm not sure how much this will help, but I know I had the same problem as you when I tried to get a similar thing working, but I can't remember which of the many changes I made fixed the problem, so I'll just show you my code and perhaps you can see if anything is different than yours.
Here's where I'm creating my dropdown - in my case EastNew_RegOut is the same as your StudentData, and RateTypeDropValues is the same as your StudentCourses (the comments in the code are not meant to sound bossy to you, this is actually an example piece of code that other developers in my company "steal", so I have to put very specific instructions in there!):

As for my layout... my table is bound to the EastNew_RegOut node, and the column with the dropdown is bound to RateTypeDropValues.Value (that's probably obvious, but there you have it anyway)
Finally, in my context, EastNew_RegOut is singleton = true (I was surprised about this, actually, I would have assumed it was false) with a selection of 0..1 and RateTypeDropValues has singleton set to false with a selection of 0..1

Translation of drop down box values in Time Advice iview

We have an issue where the values in the drop down box for Team Time Advice iView -> Display more time statements is only appearing in English. The values are 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. If we log into the portal in French then everything is translated to French except the values in the drop down box.
I am looking to find where these can be translated. Is it possible via the SPRO like it is for values for Organizational Structure Views, or is it only possible by core modding the internal local Java Dictionary in the Java Webdynpro?

It really depends on where those values are coming from. It is possible that something like that is actually part of the Web Dynpro Application itself and not something that is taken from the backend system, so not possible to modify in the iMG.
My suggestion is that if this is standard SAP code that you raise a support message with SAP esp. since as you say all the other text is translated into French, it might just be a bug that they will fix.

hi in search page i have two drop down list. i have two tables and one mapping tables. service line and subservice line are tables and i have one mapping table. using rapid application i create one component using mapping table. now in search page i have two drop list. one is servline and another is sub serviceline. in service line i have values like 1,2 k for subservice 3,4.5,6 for one service line ex. for 1 i have two subservice 3,4 and for 2 i have 5,6. now my requirment in if i choose service line 1 in first drop down list, automatically in second drop down list want to contain values 3, 4. before both the drop down list have values.if i chose one value the correponding mapping value want to come in drop down list in same context node.

This requirement involves defining p-getter for the service type, and the v-getter of you sub type.
Since this involves to populate the values of subtype attribute depending on value of service type, u need a round trip.
This is done in the p-getter of the 1st attribute(service type in your case).
In the v-getter of the 2nd attribute, 1st fetch the current value of attribute 1, then filter the value in the dropdown table according to ur logic.
