Passing jsp variable into javascript.....

Hai friends,
Look this code.....
var mywindow= window.open( ......)
mywindow.<%= loc%>.style.visibility = "hidden";
loc is my jsp variable passing dyanamically to the script....
But it is not taking....
when i assign jsp var into javascript like
mywindow.somehardcodedvalue.style.visibility = <%= loc%>;
it is working fine ....

Parsing JSP variable into JavaScript

Hi,
I am trying to parse a JSP variable into a pice of JavaScript code:

some jsp code .....

This does not create an alert, any ideas why? Am I missing a quote/semi-colon somewhere?

How to pass a variable into a cfc?

prior to calling the cfinvoke, I have coding that determins a
variable "X"
I need to pass X into a cfc so it can complete the query held
there.
So I tried

correct so far?
Now over on the cfc page is where I'm getting stuck
Inside my cffunction I'm adding <cfargument name="X" />
But how do I get the value in?

I don't quite understand your question. Can you rephrase?
But before all that, bear in mind that one doesn't pass a
variables into a
*CFC*, one passes it into a function within the CFC. And as
with all
functions, one passes values into the function by passing it
as an
argument. But - of course - the function has to be coded to
expect the
argument.
Your own sample code demonstrates this in action:
<cfinvokeargument name="abbrCode"
value="#companyAbbrCode#" />
(NB: lose the trailing slash: this is CFML, not XML).
So you know how to do that.
Hence me not quite understanding what you're actually asking.

JSP variable in javascript

Can I use a jsp variable in javascript? If so, how? It would be used in an "if" statement:

My problem is I am grabbing a persistant value from a
value object: the value of a checkbox as
<%=InformationVO.isChecked()%>If (==true) i want javascript to enable a button on
load. If not disable it. Plus I hav javascript on
the page that controls this while the page is open.
Just don't know how to incorporate the two scenarios
s for:
1.checking the value to ernable/disable the sumbit on
load with the value of the VO
2. using javascript to control the enable/disable

rep-0781 : Bind variables are not allowed in the select statement

may be its not possible to use :P_PARAM1 in user parameter of oracle 6i reports
but u can full fill user requirement using oracle forms
create a form as like as report parameter window
then create parameter list and run report

How to put a jsp variable into a javascript function?

Passing a variable from Javascript to java variable in a JSP.

Here is simple test Ive been messing around with.
How do I assign the value that was selected in the radio button to a java variable in my JSP here. Javascript being client side and JSPs being serverside makes this difficult.

Please excuse me for appearing dim but my JSP skills are rather weak.
I dynamically create rows in a table from an Iterator. If the mainTopic is news then I need a third column to appear with radio buttons. I have all this done. When a radio button is selected and the UPLOAD button is selected I need to know which of the values in the table was selected.
When I ran the test below the selected value was null. Can you help me?

How to pass java arraylist into javascript arrays

Passing a variable into workflow

I know u can pass variables from a form into a workflow using processInputs.....but let's say I have a update workflow and there's some attribute that has changed on the user that requires the update workflow to trigger the disable workflow.....let's say I use the disableUser workflow service does anyone know if it's possible for to pass a variable from the update workflow to the disable workflow??

you do it the same way you would in any other workflow. but if. In fact, I THINK that you dont even need to pass it. The external workflow should be available to all internal workflows.
otherwise define it in the disable and pass it in. We do this all the time. should work fine.

Instead of having someone type in or search for a variable I was trying to determine a way to pass a variable directly into the URL

Try just variable_Screen=&BI_command etc etc

Passing Unix variable into sql

Hi,
I have a shell script with embedded SQL.
In the script I have a Unix variable that has a char value
id="P_test".
I need to pass this variable to a select in a where condition like
select * from table where camp1=$id.
The problem is $id returns P_test rather than 'P_test' so that the select can work.
Any ideea how to change the clause where to make the select work?
I could also change the variable id as to have id=" 'P_test' " , but this variable comes from a file parsed and I don't know how to get 'P_test' instead of P_test.

The BPI plugin source is pretty well documented via comments. If you don't like page items, search the .fr for any reference to "page item" and "PageItem", then remove those references.
Depending on your specific purposes, also eliminate the persistent BPIDataPersist and related, or anything with "Panel" in it. This should give you a very minimum plugin.
If you don't want a structure that behaves like a "prefs", remove kBPIPrefsScriptProviderBoss and all related.
To add a property on a another boss rather than on page items, just replace kPageItemObjectScriptElement in the kBPIScriptProviderBoss of the VersionedScriptElementInfo, e.g. with kApplicationObjectScriptElement.
app.documents is probably not what you want to follow, because that is a collection rather than an array so you would be implementing an own object type.
Of course, keep a copy of your intermediate steps and whenever too much breaks, retry. That's how we all started ...
