Passing values to the LookupDispatchAction in Struts

having a table in my JSP.
I created an object for each row. so, the table is the list of this object.
I put this list in the request, then using this I am displaying the table.
when I submit the JSP, in the LookupDispatchAction
the request doesn't have the list attribute that was created before.
I need this list in the LookupDispatchAction as I would like to add another row to this list.?
How to get this list?

Request attributes last for the length of one request/response.
You put the list into request scope, use the list to display the table, and return the resulting page.
All request scope attributes are now lost.
If you want to keep the list until you submit the JSP, you need to use session scope.

The values are picked up for infotypes with no subtype , but for infotypes with more than one subtype the values are not getting passed.
I am getting an error message 'Fill in all required entry fields' for the second subtype's mandatory field.
I am trying to update Address (Infotype 6) with subtypes 1 and 5.

I had program runnning fine in labview version 5.0, Recently i updated to labview version 6.0, but when i opened file i will see many warnings like above.
I saved the file as 6.0, all the warnings are gone and program compiles as well but i am not sure saving as 6.0 eliminate those problems like..."value will not be coereced when passed to subvis"

It means that some of your controls use coercion to alter data if it is not within a range. In LV 5.0 this worked for either typing the data into the control or passing it through the connector as a sub-vi. In 6.0 the data won't be coerced if it has been passed through the connector as a sub-vi, only if it is entered on the front panel. If your sub-vis relied on this coercion to operate properly then you will need to add the "In Range and Coerce" function to your block diagram to manipulate these values. If the coercion wasn't important then disregard the warning.

How to pass values of the prompt through Action Link - URL in 11g

I am in OBIEE 11g v6.
Let's say, I have two dashbaord pages P1 and P2.
P1 page contains
1. Prompt PR1 - containing a single column EmpName
2. Report R1
P2 page contains
1. Prompt PR2 - containing a single column EmpName (same column as in PR1)
2. Report R2
Requirement :
Let's say a user select a value = David from the EmpName column in prompt PR1. In the Report R1, on one the measure columns 'Sales', I am using an action link - Navigate to URL ( I can't use Navigate to BI Content for some reasons). In the URL, I am giving the URL to page P2. Can I pass the selected value (which is David) to the EmpName column of the Prompt PR2 of Page P2 so that Report R2 is automatically limited by David when I land on that page through the URL?
Few things to consider are, I can't use EmpName column in my report R1 on page P1, I just want to pass the value of a common column from one prompt on Page1 to another prompt on Page2. Is that possible. Can anybody please help?

Hmm can you give a try one more time with
Add EmpName name and hide it on report R1 on page P1
and set EmpName as Is Prompted on report R2 on page P2 and with my earlier steps should work.
Other option is read this doc once that helps you how to pass value thru url.

In portlets, how to use a html form passing values to the another page?

it is well known that in web developing , we have two methods to pass values to another page.
but how to use two methods in oracle portal portlets?
I have got a simple example which submit two values to the page for itself, means a page has a form with submit botton, user input the form with values and then submit them by submit botton, then the page recevice those values and show it .

How to pass value from the Z Report to the selection screen of the std rep

Dear Experts,
i have developed a report and the values are maintained only in internal table based on some condition. When I execute the report, for example MM60, there is a material number field for multiple selection.
the report should call the standard transaction and pass the values from the internal table to the multiple selection- material number of the standard transaction.
the standard transaction should never get executed automatically. Only the value should get passed from internal table to the standard t code. Please help.

Passing values to the custom folder

Hi All
Can anyone tell me how to pass the dynamic values to the custom folder in the where condition.
I want to build a custom folder using the follwing query
select empno,ename,sal from emp where empno=10, here insted of 10 I want to pass the empno value dynamically.
Eg : select empno,ename,sal from emp where empno=<dynamic value>
I am really appreciate your help on this.

The simplest way to do this is as follows:
1. Create this custom folder: select empno,ename,sal from emp
2. In Discoverer Plus, you build a workbook that has a condition on the empno with a parameter asking the user which one they want to query
The workbook is then extremely flexible and it's easier than trying to add conditions or parameters to custom code.

You can set the internal table values to the text area field using SET_PROPERTY method .
Check for the context node in which that text field is there ,then get that context nodes current entity .Next set required values to that text area field.

Passing values of the column in the last level of a dimension hierarchy.

My report has two colums
Column1 (Dimension has a hierarchy)
Columns2 (Fact with an Aggregation Rule)
I want to use the drill down facility in column 1 and pass the value in the last level of the hierarchy to navigate to another report. Can someone help me on this?
[Note: The above is possible when the column that is on the last level of the drill hierarchy is in the main report]

I am currently able to store all the necessary symbols in an array. But, How do I query for multiple symbols in the SQL Query ?
I have an array symArr[] which consists of all the symbols I need to query from the database. So, How should I write the SQL Query is my question.
I could have created a string which looks something like this from the symArr[] array:
XOM,AA,BAC,BB,BBC,....
But, the problem would be when I try to query these symbols in the php data service using "SELECT * FROM TABLENAME WHERE SYMBOL IN (?)"
where the variable $symbol is the populated string (XOM,AA,BAC,BB,BBC,.... ). So, to rephrase my question, Could I use SELECT * FROM TABLENAME WHERE SYMBOL IN (?) to query for Multiple symbols or is there a better approach.

How to pass values for the checkbox

Hi all,
We all have seen the functionality of selecting a check box and then click the button and it performs the task(i.e in the hotmail when you select a line/lines by selecting the checkbox for that line and click the delete button those all mails are deleted). we are trying to implement this functionality. I have written the following code for that, but i get the values for the selected box if the box is the first one but if I did not select the first line and select the second line, i get the values for first line as well as for the secondline separated by comma . In other word it concatinates all values. Can I have some pointers?

But I am littlebit confuse about how does multiple values have been passed. For Example, i have selected 3 check boxes to delete the record. The value for each check box I need is name, event and hours...Each of these record is separated by '*'. I have three sets of values...for three records..
1) Ameeta*overTime*5.00
2) Ameeta*holiday*6.00
3) Ameeta*weekends*8.00
I have total 5 or 6 records for this person(Ameeta) and I want to delete these listed three...some how if I use the following coding it gives me all records before the last checked box...

Here depending on the days users have selected any weekday would be passed in to the DaysOfWeek array. It might be just monday or monday
and friday etc. How can I achieve this? Please advice.
