Passing xml as string to xmlPanel function

hello Genius,
I am using XML2UI feature of Extending Flash. I want to pass
XML through string in place of xml file in xmlPanel function.
is there any way to avoid creating 20 xml files and
distributing them as my planned extension have 20 ui's.
thanks in advance.

Hai Shyam,
I have tried to do as u have mentioned but still its not taking it as a paramater.
i mean the API say
parse
public void parse(InputSource input) throws IOException,
SAXExceptionParse an XML document.
The application can use this method to instruct the XML reader to begin parsing an XML document from any valid input source (a character stream, a byte stream, or a URI).
Is is any way to convert string to (char stream or byte stream).
Thanks a lot
Pooja.

  • Passing XML String via HTTP Sender

    Hello everyone,
    currently we try to find a solution on the following requirement - maybe you have useful advice for us:
    8 different business documents can be sent via a web-interface to SAP XI via the http sender adapter. We already have a customized JCo Class that takes only one input parameter (containining the XML string of the business document).
    I think the easiest way would be to receive the XML string from the web-interface and pass it directly on to the JCo-Class in a Java Mapping.
    Is it possible to create a generic message type for all 8 types of XML documents that contains just one element holding the XML as string? By doing so we could use the same URL for all 8 different XML types and pass it directly on as input paramenter to the JCo Class.
    Do you have any idea how to do this?
    Thank you very much.

    Does the HttpURLConnection conn send the string along with the headerYes.

  • Creating a Function module to send XML Byte String

    Hi all,
    I have to create a Function module to get XML byte string.The internal table is dynamic coloums based on how many data selected as a importparameter.from the internal; table data I have to create a XML byte string as a output.Pl help me to proceed further.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Ram

    If i have your question right you need to convert an internal table of unknown type to an xml string then to a byte string.
    data xmlString type string.
    data xmlXString type xstring.
    call transformation id
       source
          table = internalTableYouWantToExport
       result
          xml xmlString.
    export xmlString to data buffer xmlXString.
    xmlString has the xml of the table and xmlXString contains the byte representation of the string.

  • How to pass XML tags in a soapbody parameter having datatype as string?

    Hi,
    I need to pass XML tags as a String parameter in SOAP:Body.
    When I tried send SOAP Request, The SOAP Request was changing < to <
    and > to > respectively. Is there any way to ensure that the XML tags (< and >) remain as it is without getting changed.
    I also tried to retrieve XML file and stored in a StringBuffer and tried to send SOAP Request but i am still receiving the < and > tags in my SOAP Request.
    Pl suggest some alternatives to avoid storing the XML in the form of string and instead directly store the XML into a XML Node so that i can avoid the above condition
    Thanks in advance,

  • Passing hard-coded string parameters into a FUNCTION

    I created a Function that accepts two INT and two VARCHAR2 parameters. I want to access it in a SELECT statement and manually pass in parameters to it.
    For example,
    SELECT FN_MYFUNC(10, 20, 'string1', 'string2') FROM DUAL;
    However, when I do this the hard-coded strings don't seem to be recognized by the Function. But, if I were to pass in a Fieldname from a TABLE then the above function works. Is there something extra I need to do to pass in hard-coded strings into a function?

    I have pasted the function where this problem is occuring below. If I use it in a SELECT, for example....
    SELECT fn_GetRegValueFromRegData(3, 3, 'REG', '119') FROM DUAL;
    .....it returns blank everytime when it should return a numeric value. However, this only occurs if I hard-code the parameter values (like above). However, if I pass in fieldnames from a TABLE, for example.....
    SELECT fn_GetRegValueFromRegData(RegLink, EeLink, ChqType, RegCode) FROM RegData;
    ......then I get data back! Any idea why data is returned when I pass in fieldnames but not when I pass in hard-coded parameter values?

  • Receive xml as string from OSB and pass it to Bpel

    I was given xml and DTD by our external partners. I need to receive this xml, parse this and insert some of the
    values of the elements into DB.
    Question1:
    Since I don't have WSDL, can I receive xml in string and pass it on to OSB BS which calls Bpel process?
         If yes, how and can I get any example?
    How do I set up osb bs service to talk to bpel?
    I have installed oracle soa suite 10g with patch set 4. This runs with Oracle AS. I have my Bea weblogic 10.3 with OSB installed.
    Both the servers are running seperately.

    If I use
    string to xml --- fn-bea:inlinedXML()
    How do I extract a value of an element? When I log the xml that got extracted from a string, I only see the values of elements with no element names:
    eg: if incoming string format of xml is:
    <Customer>
    <name>aaa</name>
    <address>bb</address>
    </Customer>
    After fn-bea:inlinedXML($body)
    I see:
    aaa
    bbb
    in the log, but with no element names

  • Trying to pass xml data to a web service

    I'm working on an Apex application that is required to pass data to a web service for loading into another (non Oracle) system. The web service expects two stings as input, the first string is simply an ID, the second string is an xml document. I generate an xml 'string' using PL/SQL in an on-submit process prior to invoking the web service. If I pass regular text for the second parameter, the web service returns an error message which is stored in the response collection and displayed on the page as expected. When I pass the the xml data, I get a no data found error and the response collection is empty. I have tried this in our development environment on Apex 3.1.2 (database version 10.2). I also tried this on our Apex 4.0.2 sandbox (with the same Oracle 10.2 database). I have found that once I have nested xml, I get the no data found message, if I pass partial xml data, I get the error response from the web service. Perhaps I am not generating the xml correctly to pass to the web service (this only just occurred to me as I write this)? Or is there an issue passing xml data from Apex to the web service? Any help will be greatly appreciated! here is the code I use to generate the xml string:

I have opened the web service in IE and pasted my xml input string and received a valid, verified result, so I am sure that the generated xml is correct. I have spoken with the web service developer; there are no log entries created by the web service when I submit the full xml string, so I suspect the failure is in the Apex application.
    Thanks,

    I should add that once I have nested tags in the xml, I get the Oracle no data found error ("<header xmlns=""> <stdXmlVer>2.0</stdXmlVer> <sendingUnit>10</sendingUnit> </header>"). I f I do not have nested tags in the xml ("<notification>[email protected]</notification> <creationDate>2011-12-20</creationDate>"), I get the web service response (error).

    Ok, I think I'm getting closer to thinking this all the way through. When I have used clobs in the past, I've always used the DBMS_CLOB package. I use this to create a temp clob and then make the above calls. I had to go find an example in my own code to remember all of this. So, here is another suggestion... feel free to disregard all the previous code snippets..

    You don't technically need the two varchar2(36767) variables. I used two for naming convention clarity sake. You could use just one multipurpose variable instead.
    If you have any questions, just ask. I'll help if I can.

  • Passing XML structures

    Dear All,
    We have got a problem trying to pass structured XML string to BPEL via JMS. The partner process just computes the result (an XML string) and sends it to a JMS queue. The JMS content contains the XML structure (string) that we want to pass. When we try to assign the JMS content to the BPEL variable it seems to work but, when we try to address an element, the process fails.
    In my opinion this behaviour is due to the forced assignment of an XML formatted string to a BPEL XML object. So we tried to find samples on this topic. Any help is welcomed. Thanks and Regards,

    You can't execute xpath query on a string, i would suggest converting that xml string into dom element and set the variable. there is an easy way to achieve this bpel.
    Use the parseEscapedXML('xml-string') xpath function, you can look at [orabpel-home]/samples/references/XPathFunction sample on how its getting used.
    In your case,you might need to use getVariableData() to get the xml string content and use this parseEscapedXML() to convert to element. like below:
    <copy>
         <from expression="ora:parseEscapedXML(string(bpws:getVariableData('your-variable', 'part', '/a/b'))))"/>
         <to variable="your-variable" part="part", query="/a/b/c"/>
    </copy>

  • Pass XML inside ora:parseEscapedXML

    How to pass XML inside ora:parseEscapedXML ?? Like
    ora:parseEscapedXML(' <PersonalDetails><FirstName></FirstName><PreferredName></PreferredName><Nationality></Nationality></PersonalDetails>')
    It works fine. But problem is how to get variable values inside <FirstName></FirstName> ? Like <FirstName> some variable </FirstName>.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
    assign the xml content to the string variable like ex:ErrorData then call the ora:parseEscapedXML function like ora:parseEscapedXML(bpws:getVariableData('ErrorData')) to another string variable.
    ex with out parseEscapedXML ..the xml looks like this

  • Very urgent help needed- Error while passing XML document to Oracle stored

    Hi !
    I have been struggling a lot to call Oracle 9i stored procedure passing Stringbuilder object type from ASP.NET
    I am using Visual Studio 2008 Professional, OS: Windows XP and Oracle: 9.2.0.1.0
    Following is the procedure:
    CREATE or REPLACE PROCEDURE loadCompanyInfo (clobxml IN clob) IS
    -- Declare a CLOB variable
    ciXML clob;
    BEGIN
    -- Store the Purchase Order XML in the CLOB variable
    ciXML := clobxml;
    -- Insert the Purchase Order XML into an XMLType column
    INSERT INTO companyinfotbl (companyinfo) VALUES (XMLTYPE(ciXML));
    commit;
    --Handle the exceptions
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    raise_application_error(-20101, 'Exception occurred in loadCompanyInfo procedure :'||SQLERRM);
    END loadCompanyInfo ;
    And following is the ASP.net code:
    StringBuilder b = new StringBuilder();
    b.Append("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\" ?>");
    b.Append("<item>");
    b.Append("<price>500</price>");
    b.Append("<description>some item</description>");
    b.Append("<quantity>5</quantity>");
    b.Append("</item>");
    //Here you'll have the Xml as a string
    string myXmlString1 = b.ToString();
    //string result;
    using (OracleConnection objConn = new OracleConnection("Data Source=testdb; User ID=testuser; Password=pwd1"))
    OracleCommand objCmd = new OracleCommand();
    objCmd.Connection = objConn;
    objCmd.CommandText = "loadCompanyInfo";
    objCmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
    //OracleParameter pmyXmlString1 = new OracleParameter("pmyXmlString1", new OracleString(myXmlString1));
    objCmd.Parameters.Add("myXmlString1", OracleType.clob);
    objCmd.Parameters.Add(myXmlString1).Direction = ParameterDirection.Input;
    //objCmd.Parameters.Add("result", OracleType.VarChar).Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
    try
    objConn.Open();
    objCmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
    catch (Exception ex)
    Label1.Text = "Exception: {0}" + ex.ToString();
    objConn.Close();
    When I am trying to execute it, I am getting the following error:
    Exception: {0}System.Data.OracleClient.OracleException: ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'LOADCOMPANYINFO' ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleConnection.CheckError(OciErrorHandle errorHandle, Int32 rc) at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand.Execute(OciStatementHandle statementHandle, CommandBehavior behavior, Boolean needRowid, OciRowidDescriptor& rowidDescriptor, ArrayList& resultParameterOrdinals) at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQueryInternal(Boolean needRowid, OciRowidDescriptor& rowidDescriptor) at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Default.Button1Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
    I understand from this that the .net type is not the correct one, but I am not sure how to correct it. I could not find any proper example in any documentation that I came across. Most of the examples give information on how to read but not how to insert XML into Oracle table by calling Stored Procedure.
    Can you please help me to solve this problem? I hope that you can help solve this.
    Also, can you please give me an example of passing XML document XMLdocument to Oracle Stored procedure.
    In both the cases, if you can provide the working code then it would be of great help.
    Thanks,

  • Passing xml as Patameter to servlet  (Catalina)

    I am having problem with passing xml as parameter to a servlet using tomcat 4-0-5 ( it works fine on tomcat 3.2 !)
    The servlet request.getParameter("xmlstring") returns a null.
    If from xml I remove version= form the <?xml version=\.0\" ?> tag, then request.getParameter("xmlstring") shows the string that I passed correctly. But then my xml string is malformed.
    I have tried passing the xml string to the servlet from browser and by opening a connection & passing in the parameter.
    It gives the same error in both cases
    Also this works fine if I use tomcat 3.2 as the server. I am getting this error in tomcat 4-0-5
    Thanks,
    Ritu

    One or two small changes should help. First, take the XML you've listed as a parameter and place it in it's own file. Put the .xml file in the /WEB-INF directory right next to the web.xml file. Second, create a servlet-param with the name of the file. Third, in the servlet, get the name of the file and use the ServletContext.getResourceAsStream("/WEB-INF/" + filename) to get the file. You can then parse it from there.

  • [C] Passing an array in to a function [SOLVED]

    Hello, everyone,
    I'm writing a small unit testing library for myself for various C projects I've got on the go at the moment. Right now, it just consists of one function which accepts an array of tests (structs) and runs each one. The problem is that the array seems to disappear once I pass it in to the library function.
    The library's only test code at the moment is:
    #include "test.h"
    enum TestResult testPass();
    enum TestResult testFail();
    int main()
    struct Test tests[] = {
    {"pass", testPass},
    {"fail", testFail},
    testRun(tests);
    return 0;
    enum TestResult testPass()
    return PASS;
    enum TestResult testFail()
    return FAIL;
    test.h:
    #ifndef TEST_H
    #define TEST_H
    enum TestResult
    PASS,
    FAIL,
    struct Test
    char* name;
    enum TestResult (*test)();
    void testRun(struct Test*);
    #endif /* TEST_H */
    And test.c, which compiles to libtest.so:
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include "test.h"
    #define ARRAY_LENGTH(array) ((int) (sizeof(array) / sizeof(*array)))
    void testRun(struct Test* tests)
    enum TestResult result;
    int i;
    for(i = 0; i < ARRAY_LENGTH(tests); i++)
    if((result = tests[i].test()) == PASS)
    fprintf(stderr, ".");
    else if(result == FAIL)
    fprintf(stderr, "F");
    else
    fprintf(stderr, "?");
    fprintf(stderr, "\n");
    I get a single newline as output for running the test code. (that last fprintf() call). In other words, ARRAY_LENGTH(tests) == 0.
    I've tried several different ways of making the array accessible to the library, including making an extern variable in test.h (couldn't use the automatic array sizing declaration), making a static variable in test.c and initializing it with a function (the array still disappeared), and just passing it in to the function, as shown. What am I overlooking? The way I figure, an array is a pointer, meaning they (arrays) are always passed by reference, and I can therefore declare testRun() as taking a struct Test* without any using any complicated data structures to preserve the contents and make the client interface as simple as possible.
    Last edited by Michael C. (2010-04-10 21:28:02)

    Another widely used way of doing it, without having to pass the size, is to use null-terminated arrays.
    You probably know that strings are null-terminated arrays of characters?
    Well you can do the same with arrays that you define.
    You would have something like:
    struct Test tests[] = {
    {"pass", testPass},
    {"fail", testFail},
    {NULL, NULL},
    Then instead of using the size of the array, you just loop on its elements until you have the null element, then break.
    You just have to make sure you always put this null element at the end of your arrays. And that the null element is really a null element, I mean you can choose anything but of course it shouldn't be a possible normal value of the array.
