Password for pc synch

i can't synch my blackberry to my pc because i need a password, but i haven't set one and trying to contact blackberry to sort it out is impossible. any ideas?

On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Security and ensure no password is enabled there (shouldn't be based on what you've stated). If not, enable one, at least temporarily. Now when you plug your BlackBerry into your computer, use that password. Once you've backed up/sychronized your data, you can remove the password and see if it will work correctly then.

You cannot merge iCloud/Apple IDs. You must decide which one ot use, one or the other. Login with your new ID on your computer.
Be aware that content/apps purchased with the old ID will be forever tied to that ID.

ITunes 10.5 prompting password for sync

Intalled iTunes 10.5 on my iPad 2 and am now being prompted for a password to "unlock the iPad back-up file" during the "Set up Your iPad" process so it can synch. I never set a password for this process, and have never been asked for this before (the device is not new, was just updating software).
Also installed iOS 5.0 yesterday, though not sure if it was successful - seemed to take a few times, but am assuming it's ok.
Have tried a variety of pwrods, but none have worked, and there is no link such as "forgot your password".
Any ideas?

Exact same thing happened to me. Used my Windows user account log-in, and it worked. So try using the password you use to log into your actual computer.

What I did not know is that my wife used my email and the same password for her Apple Id in her phone for I cloud. Now when we sinc our phones the contacts and information gets combined. I have been unable to find a way to change her Apple Id to her email address and also change her password. If she could do this on her phone it would solve our problem. Sorry I cannot follow why you would even use the PC to control the Time Capsule. Apple have not kept the Windows version of the utility up to date.. so they keep making it harder and harder to run windows with apple routers.

Since that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.

In Pages 5.0.1 option to set password for editing document is gone when exporting as a pdf

In last version of Pages, I would make a proposal to a customer and then go to 'share' and then choose 'PDF' from the drop down. Next screen allowed me to choose the option of password protecting the document from being edited. This new version of Pages only seems to allow setting a password for opening the document. I do not need to password protect the document from being opened, just edited. Any help for this new problem? Apple always seems to remove features that are so helpful and useful when they 'upgrade' apps., very frustrating!

Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Somebody knows if it is possible to set a password for a pdf file created from a function module.
We are using different functions to generate the pdf (i.e. CONVERT_OTF, CONVERT_OTF_AND_ARCHIVE).
Are there some parameters to set this password, or also after archived it (with Archive Link)u2026

About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...

I agree, unplug and replug your router, then reset your iPad by holding down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the red power down slider, and wait til you see the silver apple. let it reboot and then try your connection.
Chances are rebooting the router will help. You may also need to talk to cox. They may need to reset something on their end.

Go to System Preferences and click Sign Out, select Delete at all the prompts, then sign back in with the changed ID? (Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out and choose Delete, but will still be in iCloud. Have you set the general preferences in iPhoto to email using iPhoto? Then change it to email using "Mail". This way iPhoto will use your regular Mail account.
