Pasting $39 to same cell on every page in workbook

Is there a way I can do this with a few clicks?
When I "select all" the sheets on the left, then I click on cell C25 on sheet 1 to paste $39, the sheets become de-selected and that data that I paste in that cell C25 sheet 1 doesn't paste to all the sheets like I want it to do.

As far as I know, there is no way to do what you ask for.
Here is a workaround.
In the table named Updater, store the value to add to the cellsof the same row in column C of other tables.
In these other tables, the column C contains the formula:
=B+updater :: A
Entering a value in updater will automatically be reflected in the other tables.
A more sophisticated version is available here:
In this one, we enter the value to add in columns B, C… of table "Updater"
In this table's column A is the formula =SUM(B3:D3)
so column A contains the accumulated additions made (of course if you add more than three values, you may insert new columns and adjust the formula accordingly).

Cover same spot on every page

I have a job that is several hundred pages long. Every page is a poor quality scan with a mark on the same spot on every page. I would like to cover this spot on all pages. I tried using the Rectangle Frame Tool with a solid white fill (I go to Swatches then Paper) on the master page. Even if I tell the Rectangle Frame to Bring To Front, it still does not show up on top of all my scans. If I look behind the scans, the Rectangle Frame is there as if I did not tell it to Bring To Front. What am I doing wrong? I was under the impression that anything I put on the Master Page will show on all other pages. Is that correct? Is there a better way to be doing this?

Wouldn't it be simpler to edit the scan in Photoshop and remove the mark? Doing that would remove any possibility of not having the patch when you need it in some other case, or of the patch accidentally winding up in front of something you want to show.

Firefox is hijacked to display the same ads on every page!!

I come to believe that Firefox is hijacked in my computer. I have been having trouble with pop-up ads some time back from a mysterious source called adnxs.com. I somehow managed to resolve it but now, the same old shit is back again. This time it shows the link as https://secure-sin.adnxs.com/. It does a worse thing than popups, it displays its ad on every page I visit, even for secure HTTPS sites!!
I tried scanning for it but my Avast Antivirus as well as Spybot S&D failed to pick it up.
I know the problem is with firefox only, because there was no issue when using Chrome. Can anyone pls shed any light?

I'll also let you know that I have done some cleaning afterwards, removed all cookies, disabled unnecessary toolbars and also ran system wide scan again. It looks like that put a stop to this malware. Though knowing how persistent this spyware/malware is I wouldn't be surprised if it shows its face again.

Stamps in the same place on every page

Lets say we have a 10 page electrical wiring diagram document. On each page there's space for our client's logo and address. As a service, we are now thinking of adding that logo and address before we print the document and send it to our client. I know how to add stamps, but I can't figure out how to place the stamp on just one page, and then automatically have it placed in the exact same place on all pages. Is that possible? Do I have to place the stamp on every page manually? Then they will not end up in the same position every time!
This is quite urgent. If anybody has a solution, please let me know.

We do something similar using Batch Processing. The stamp is placed on a blank page PDF in the position we want it to appear on the document. We then run a Batch process that opens the file, adds the watermark (the PDF file containing the placed stamp, flattens the layers, and prints the file. We don't save but there is an option to save the file with the stamp on when you set up the batch process.
Setting up the Batch Process can take a moment, especially making sure the stamp will appear where you want it, but it makes things very easy once you have it set up.

The same menu on every page

I'm new to Spry. I have a couple of pages and on every page I
want to have the same menu. I include the JS-Code and a suitable
CSS-File, so I have to update the menu only once, if changes occur.
Now I want to use Spry in Dreamweaver, but how can I make a
menu in Javascript? Is there a better way? How do you this?

Hi Egon,
on Dreamweaver you can insert the spry menu bar from Insert
bar. It will be generated in page the menu bar code and the links
to the js and css files. If you want to use some different links
you can link them in this page and the menu will perfectly work.

Placing the same image on every page.

Hi!
I want the epub pages to show an image on the right corner. Is it possible to do it... with InDesign?
I don't want you to teach me how to do it, just tell me if it's possible and I'll try to do it.
I want the pages to look like this:

You definitely cannot do it in InDesign, and, unless you were creating a fixed format EPUB, which I've never done, I doubt it could be done is a normal reflowable EPUB. Think about it, there is no fixed page size, it's just a flow of text and anchored images. As the page gets resized (on a laptop screen, or iPad, or whatever), the page is never the same size. If someone changes the font size, everything reflows differently.

Copy / Paste Same Button on Many Pages

I have to copy & paste a simple button on every page of a lengthy document. (Hundreds of pages.)
Is there an easy way to paste the button in the same place on every page, or do I have to do it manually, over a very long period of time?
(Also, is it tough to paste the button in a specific position, or do I have to eyeball it for every one?)

Yes, I used the object select button. I've had some other issues and
think that the problem is that there isn't enough memory on my computer.
I've asked IT to increase that, hoping that will help.

Table of Contents with same image on every chapter?

When I started my book, the Table of Contents automatically took
the main image of every chapter, and added it in a smaller size to
my contents pages. Quite nice...
But now, my Table of Contents has the same image on every page.
Where did I go wrong, and - more important - can this be restored?

Not sure what you did, but you can re assign connection between the chapter images and the TOC image if that connection gets lost (by deleting the place image place holder on the chapter page in the layout pane etc.)
click on chapter in layout pane and select image (or insert a new one if it was deleated) in inspetor assign it "main image"
then on the TOC page click the master image place holder and delete the image(place holder will not be deleted)
makes sure there is not an image ontop of the place holder.

Same pictures duplicated on every page folder!!!

I've just noticed that iWeb08, when publishing in a folder, is making a copy of each picture you use on each page folder, even if the picture is the same!!!
For example if you're using a logo for your website, and using it on every page, it will be copied on each page folder, increasing dramatically the size of your website folder...
In the past version, iWeb was creating an images folder, where were stored all the shared pictures.
to be more precise if I use a picture called picture1.jpg on my welcome page, and then use it on my About me page, the picture will be copied on the welcome folder and on the About me folder.
This makes your website very large and slower to load on a browser, this is really annoying...
worst the pictures used on themes are duplicated for each page as well !!!!!
Anyone know a way to have a shared picture folder like in iweb 06 ?

1-All the pictures are exactly the same, not modified, resized, etc...
2-You can delete manualy the duplicate Files n each folder, but when you republish they will be re added !!!

I loaded the business letterhead template, and I see what you mean. It is a bit odd to have the address defined as a Master Object. Here's an easy way to fix it: select the address Master Object, delete it, then replace it with a text box that has the address in it. You'll need to make sure that the text box is set as Fixed On Page (see the Wrap Inspector), then move and size it the way you want. Doing it this way, the box will appear on page 1, but not on any subsequent pages.

How can I use the "Copy and paste" tool in order get stamps in the same position in different pages (Acrobat XI for PC)?

With Acrobat 6.0 I was able to copy a stamp in the same position (I mean "exactly" the same one) of different pages just by using the "copy/past" tool.
Now I am using Acrobat XI and it seems like it is not possible anymore: I am copying a stamp and I am trying to past it in anoter page, but it appears in the center of the page (or wherever it wants to...).
Does anyone have a solution?

Same variable on every JSP page

Hi All,
I'm just a beginner with JSP so excuse me if this is a 'stupid' question.
I'm building an Application that uses MySQL database everything works ok, but
I would like to know if there is a way to have a variable that I can use on every page.
The reason is, is because I have lots of pages (and growing) where I have the
database connect string with username password, but due to security reason
the user/pass for the database will change every now and then.
I'm familiar with Coldfusion and in Coldfusion you can setup an Application.cfm file. This file is called before every other .cfm file. Is there something like that
in JSP?
The solution I thought of is, putting the connect string into a session variable.
Is this a could idea?
If not, are there any other better ways of achiving this?

Are you using Tomcat?
Because Tomcat supports things like Application.cfm did with CF. They go in web.xml, I believe (I don't use tomcat myself).
Your database connect (and interaction) should not be handled by individual pages. It should be in a bean, connection pooling (tomcat), JSTL, or other more scalable method (or combination of techniques that works for you). If you put it all in scriptlets, you really limit yourself later.
I am assuming from your post that the username/pass is the same for all users. If it isn't, use a session-scoped bean to hold that info.

Proxy Server asking for username and password almost 6 times for every page I load, but the same doesn't happen with other browsers like chrome

The same question keeps popping up again and again "The proxy moz-proxy://proxy.iitm.ac.in:3128 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://proxy.iitm.ac.in:3128""
Even after i give the right details, it asks me like 5 more times before it completely loads the page. Some times it happens only 2 times.
With other browsers like chrome, it asks only in the beginning. it doesn't occur after that.
This started occurring only recently. i upgraded to firefox 9.0 and it functioned properly for more than 12 hours before it started occuring. i tried downgrading back to 8.0.1 but the problem still continued.

i'm afraid i need to use proxy settings to connect to internet. The settings are all fine because it used to work properly all this time. i specify the proxy address and the port, which is correct, i am very confident. it is so because the page actually loads on firefox, but not before it asks for my user name and password for it a lot of times, and for every page. for other browsers, it asks only in the beginning, that is, when i start the browser.
i've put three pics here. under the first two settings, the third image showing the user name and password thingy popping up. this happens a lot of times for every page.

Cell repeats on every page but is overlapping other elements

Hi all,
in my report I have a free cell which schould appear on every page. I selected in cell-properties 'Repeat on every page' and cell repeats as expected.
Problem is that a table in the report starts on second page and onwards not before the bottom of the cell.
Positions of the report elements shouldn't be changed.

Create a Webi document using
Add a blank cell and put it on the top of the table.
Name the cell as Cell1.
Right click the table and select Format Table.
In Layout tab, set vertical relative position to 0 cm from the Bottom edge of cell1.
Repeat cell1 on each page and keep it blank.

Iweb URL is the same for every page

I have a small website built on iweb with a personal domain name, www.westonbennett.com and if you click on any of my pages the url doesn't change and is still www.westonbennett.com and I would like it to be a unique url for every page. Can anyone help me out?

What you did is webforward with cloaking/masking whose result is giving the same url for all pages.
What you should do to get yourdomain.com/sitename/pagename.html instead is change the CNAME
