Patch uninstall not working properly developed using InstallShield

Hi i have created a patch for my product using installshield , when apply the patch product files gets updated successfully when trying to uninstall the patch it unisnttall or removes successfully newly added dlls to the patch from the target m/c but somehow
some dlls or exe which got modified due to the patch are not reverting back upon uinstallation of the patch.
As because when I see date, time and version of some of the dlls are the date on which patch was applied after uinstallation of the patch. that means dlls are not getting reverted back.
Can someone help me to understand why some of my dlls are not getting reverted back upon patch uninstallation . I have followed the patch Uninstall rules properly.

This is not related to SCCM, SCCM does what you told it to do nothing more or less.

i am using NETBEANS IDE 7.2.
i am developing a project that interacts with databases 10g and COM ports of machine , these all processes are performed by .bat file which i am trying to run from jFramform , code works perfectly .bat file is also called perfectly when i run the project using F6 from the NETBEANS, for testing i placed some dialogue boxes on the form to test it ,
but when i run executable .jar file , form run successfully and dialogue box works perfectly but .bat file is not called by executable .jar file.
this is how i call the .bat file...

        try {
          Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(filePath);

and below is the contents of portlib.bat file

you must probably ask why i am calling a .jar file using .bat file .
reason is that this .jar project sends message using GSM mobile , System.exit(); is compulsory to complete a job and then do the next one ,
if i use the same file to execute this job it makes exit to entire the application (hope you can understand my logic).
that's why i use extra .jar file in .bat file , when single job is completed .bat exits itself and new command is given.
Problem is that code is working perfectly in NETBEANS when i run the project but when i run .jar then .bat file is not working ,

A STANDARD XML TAG IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY WHEN USED IN RTF FILE FOR XML RE

I am using the following tag :

for changing foreground color of text which depending on certain conditiosi need to print in
pdf format using xml reports and rtf files.
But i was able to get only 3 colors (Red,Blue,Green) for use, other colors such as orange,cyan etc are not
working.
Please let me know what all colors are supported by oracle in printing in pdf format using xml reports.
Suggest if we need to do some settings related stuff or so.
I am usning XML 5.6.3 version.

Colors can be expressed by known name and by a hex value. The hex value format is widely used in HTML programming, and has a format of #abcdef, and "abcdef" can be values like aaddcc and so on. For some primary colors, you can get away with #abc, but that is not very common.
You should always design with Web-safe colors in mind. That limits you to 16, but should be plenty for most purposes (plus all 16 have known names like red, cyan, yellow, etc.).

Comment is not working properly when using list values - multiple rows

I am trying to send comments in drop down menu but it is not working.
I have a list field with the following values ( "Not Started";"In Progress";"Completed")
the default value should be "Not Started" but if I select "In Progress" at the top and click save, I get it in all the rows.
can't seem to figure out why is not working.

SSAS Display Folders not working properly after using Translations

Hi
I have a Cube with many fact tables and each having many measures.So for user convience i have created display folder for measures inside measure groups and everything was working fine.
But now i have created Translation (English(United States)) for measures,Calculated member and Dimensions and Processed.I observed that the display folders are working for calculated measures but weirdly the other measures display folder property is not
getting applied.
Please let me know if anybody came cross this and fixed.

According to your description, your display folders in not working after using translation. Right?
In Analysis Services, this is a known bug. However, we have workaround for this issue.
Solution:
1. Locate your cube in Solution Explorer
2. Right click on it and choose 'View code'
3. Find the corresponding <Translation> tag - look for the Foreign name of your Calculated member
4. Below the <Caption> tag place a line with <DisplayFolder> tag. The properties within Translation tag should look like:
              <Language>1001</Language>
              <Caption>Foreign name of Calculated member</Caption>
              <DisplayFolder>Foreign name for the display folder</DisplayFolder>
5. Repeat for all your calculated members.

In my usecase i have create one eo based vo where in empname attribute i have add lov and drag this vo as adf table on jsff page.
and i have create row on table and select empname from lov. lov working properly but when i have select empname from lov for same row it give error message.

Dashboard does not work properly when using Word

This problem occurs persistently. If I am typing something in Word and want to switch over to my Dashboard to use the dictionary or write on a stickie note, two things may happen. If the widget is already selected and ready to be used, then nothing will happen and I can use it properly. However, if I want to click on multiple widgets, then my dashboard will quickly slide over and go back to Word as if I had chosen to exit Dashboard. This only happens when I use Word. Why is this happening and how do I fix it??
It is frustrating to try and type something in Word, go to my Dashboard to use the dictionary, only to be flung back to Word. The only found remedy is clicking on the desktop and then going to the Dashboard to use my widgets.

I opened my Word for Mac 2011, opened a document, and Then opened my Dashboard on top of that and used the Dictionary to look up a definition, and changed the month on the Calendar widget, and changed my stock graph interval. It all worked just as it was supposed to: fine. You apparently have a corrupted file somewhere. I do not know where.

Query Stripping not working properly when using variable in the report

We have issue with WEBI document that have query stripping enable.
Once the query stripping enabled there is no data return in the report.
We have investigate on the problem, the query stripping function are notable to retrieve objects that indirectly used in the report
as we have
many variable in the reports.
Ex.
Var1 = object1 + object2
Var2 = Object3 + Object4
Var3 = Var1 + Var2
Var4 = Object1 + Object2 + Object3 + Object4
If we use only Var3 in the report, the object1,2,3,and 4 will not be
retrieve.
But if we are using Var4 in the report, the object1,2,3,and 4 will be
retrieve properly.
Please let me know is it a by-design behavior, if yes please share points on it

Thank you for response, however i already had alook on that VIdeo and it tells us about the basic enabling of query stripping.
But my question is when we have a Variable in a report which is dependent on the other two variables it gives me #error so is it by design or not.

Reminder does not work properly, when using multiple lists

I am using Reminders on my iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.. I am using several Lists for Reminders, such as Job, Home, General et cetera.. Everytime I am not using the standard List, set a Reminder in the future and save the event, the event will be displayed on the standard List with the current timing. Very annoying as I need to amend the Reminder for a second time.

Up and down arrow keys are not working properly when using SQL CLI on Linux

Every time I hit up, down, left, and right arrow keys to return to a previous sql command I got ^[[D, please any hints to fix this issue?
The backspace works fine with me. I tried to use stty to fix this issue with no luck.

Which SQL client and Linux version are we talking about?
Assuming you are using the Oracle sqlplus client... it does not support command line editing and history using the arrow keys. For this to work you will have to install a product called Readline Wrapper. See my answer at the General Database forum:

I use ADOBE READER X and ExportPDF because I have very often forms to convert from PDF to EXCEL ( V7 and V10 , I have two PC)
The results are definitly not acceptable ! Unfortunatly I paid for and I lost a lot of time.

Scanner is not working properly

My scanner is not working properly .It used to work properly .Recently I had just changed the Black catridges with new ones .The catridges were purchased from HP online store itself .
I am not sure whether the issue is occuring after the catridge replacement .Whenever I am trying to scan I am getting a completly black page with some stripes towards one end ..

I read your post about the scanning problems you're experiencing with your Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 when scanning to your Windows XP system, and I hope to help you!
I want to start off pretty basic and have you make a copy from the front of the printer. Make a copy in black and white, and also a color copy. Please let me know what the results are from making those copies.
If there is any issues with the copies, try a power reset (below instructions), and make sure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors.
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

I have lost track of the number of websites which do not work properly on my iPad. They include retail sites, billing sites and most important of all job application sites. They all seem to require Adobe Flash Player which cannot be downloaded onto an iPad. Skyfire does not solve the problem. They all load without vital parts of the site such as tabs, links and correct formatting. Any suggestions?

Most such brower/service combinations have a difficult time working with Flash-based apps and often fail completely. Flash videos are usually the most successful content these browers can handle. You can try the others apps - Puffin, iSwifter, etc - but you may find that none of them work, in which case you will not be able to use your iPad with these sites other than by using one of the various remote control solutions to take over a computer running the full Flash Player.
IMHO, any developer that built a Flash application for a billing or job application site was an idiot, but I know that's out of the control of anyone but the relevant company.
