Payment term wrong in PO

We have not included a payment term in the Vendor master.  When the PO was entered, a payment term was entered in the Header field.  However, when we took the print out of the PO, in the header the payment term ented in the PO header is printed.  But at the end of the line items, another payment term is also printed.  Is it the error in the Abap code for the report ?

Hello Nikkitha,
Payment terms are maintained in two views in Vendor master
Purchasing and payment data
Check if are updating both the places
Thanks

  • Payment Terms wrongly getting updated using Inbound Idoc

    Hi All,
I have a inbound IDOC which creates new invoice evrery time it gets triggered. In the function module attached with that IDOC there is a logic written to fetch the payment terms from the vendor master LFB1. System should display that Payment terms in tcode MIR4 (Display Invoice) as per the logic written in the IDOC FM. But, It is displaying wrong payment terms.
    Select single ZTERM
    into v_zterm
    from lfb1
    where lifnr = p_lifnr.
I have checked while debugging my logic fetches the correct payment terms (20NM) but the same is not getting updated in MIR4 . wrong value (42 Net days ) geting updated. Please suggest what needs to be done to correct this.
    Thanks,
    VB

    Vikas,
Your quesion can be bit more clear. What is that 42 days..?? To my guess based on your payment terms due date might be calculated and kept as 42 days. If you can tell us about 42 days then someone can help you.

  • Wrong Payment term in the Invoice

We have a problem with one of the vendor Invoice creation. We are getting wrong payment term in the Invoice.
We have payment term A in the vendor master both company code and Purchasing Org. We have the same payment term A in Purchase order and Contract.
But when we create invoice using MIRO for the PO we are getting Payment term B. This is happening for only one vendor.
We know that it can be corrected at the financial document level but want to know how this payment term B is pulled up from cause i checked all the options but nowhere to find from where it is coming.

    Hi Aparna,
    Check the following:
In MIRO, if you use PO reference to create the IV document, terms of payment will not get copied from vendor master, the terms of
payment will come from the PO.(if you have the invoice entered without reference to the PO, then the terms of payment are copied from vendor.)
So when you change the the invoice party in MIRO, new payment terms will not get copied from vendor master, they will come from the PO.
Please review SAP Note 322430 MIRO: Proposal logic for terms of payment Payment terms are only adopted from the vendor master record Without reference to purchase order
You enter an invoice without purchase order reference by adding a G/L account line or material line as a first item. If the terms
of payment key does not contain any value, this is copied from the accounting view of the vendor master record.
    Thanks

  • Wrong payment term during invoice creation

    Hi All,
when i created sales order with one line item then it is creating two entries in VBKD table with POSNR = '0000' with payment term ZTERM = 'ZI15'  and POSNR = '1000'  with payment term ZTERM = 'Z223',  but problem is that when going to create Invoice it is picking wrong payment terms Z223 while it shud be ZI15. can anyone please help me to know why it is creating 2 entries in VBKD and why it is taking wrong invoice during Invoice creation.
    Saurabh

    HI,
Please review SAP note 38934 which may help to explain this issue.
If you do not have VBKD data for a particular line item, it is the same
as the header (vbkd-posnr = 000000). This is standard behaviour.
so if you have a vbkd line item, that simply means some part of the business data is different to the header
and that's why the line item for VBKD was created (in this case a different payment terms has been entered for the line item)
For the second part of the issue, please start at trx VTFA and check the copy control (especially at line item level).
    kind regards

    Hello,
    I have an issue,
    1) I create PO .
    2) Then do MIGO and assign DELIVERY NOTE Feild .
    3) Then Further I create a MIRO giving DELIVERY NOTE feild as 'PO REFRERNCE' .
NOw During MIRO its picking Wrong PAYMENT TERM.
I checked Vendor master for PAYMENT TERM its maintained properly.
I even checked OBB8 for proper assignment of Payment Terms.
Eg For Vendor -123 Payment Term assigned is '3000'
    in PO its picking 3000
but During MIRO it gives Incorrect Value '9000'
    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,

    In MRM_PAYMENT_TERM
Payment term feild (ZTERM) is not Export parameter, how can we Use this..
It picks wrong payment term when Delivery note is selected During MIRO for 'PO Reference'
If he uses PO number it gives correct payment term..

  • Issue with Idoc when creating invoice taking wrong payment term

    Hi All,
My Requirement is invoices created through B2B interface should hold the payment term of purchasing party instead of invoicing party
400021 is Invoicing party having payment term 2000 i.e. 20 days
414478 is the Purchasing party having the payment term 1000 ie 10 days
So invoice should hold the payment term 10 days instead of 20 days
I have an IDOC which is creating Invoice, I am trying to reprocess the IDOC to see the issue but could not able to achieve the solution.
Please help me out which approach should i follow to achieve the solution of this issue.
    Thanks,
    VB

    Hi,
Try using E1EDK18 segment. Put "Number of days" ,Qualifier and check if this achievs the desired result or not? If yes then you have to use an user exit to put the number of days in the IDOC.
    Cheers,

  • Payment terms in vendor invoice posting

    Hi all,
When using FB60 to post vendor invoice, I can't see payment terms and discount information under "payment" tab.
I had create payment terms in IMG, and assigned it to the vendor master record.
    Do I miss anything?
    Thanks for the help!
    YuLin

    Julia,
I use FK01 when I created the Vendor Master data and assigned payment terms to the vendor, I went to FK02 (change), and can see my assigned payment terms there. Is there any difference if I assign payment terms in FK02 rather than in FK01?
My problem is I couldn't see "payment terms"  when I post a vendor invoice nor can I see it in line item display after I posted the invoice. I couldn't see the settings for discount either, not that I wanted to see the discount "amount".
I suspected that the settings for my new vendor is causing me this problem but not the payment terms itself, or could be the combination of company code and vender master record settings, so when I try to post invoice to this vender, I couldn't see payment terms, but while I post other vendor's invoice, I can see payment terms.. I could be wrong..

  • How to get default baseline date in a payment terms

    Hi,
We have around 160 payment terms used in our system. We want to get the default baseline date for all these payment terms. Going to each individual payment terms and getting the default baseline date is a cumbersome job.
Is there any easy way to get the default baseline date for each of the payment terms, like from any table or anything else. I have tried table T052. But it does not have default baseline date.
    Please help.
    Regards
    B.Mohanty

    Hello Bibhu,
default baseline date is a customizing setting in paymentterms. That's the only way.
I have no idea why TC lsmw is recommended, definetely the wrong way.
    Best regards

  • Enhancement for Payment Terms

    Hi,
When we create a Credit Memo can we change the Payment terms to Immediate and copied from  PO.
I want that to happen automatically and not a manual change. Will there be a place to write logic to do this.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    Hi,
Sorry for the wrong requirement. The Scenario is now in the system the Invoice and Credit Memo are being created by EDI taking the data Vendor Invoices and credit memo data.
And while creating the Credit memo when they see any Discount terms in Payment Terms like D01, D02..., they don't want the discounts to happen in Credit Memo.
So they want to make the Payment Terms as IMME.
I am a technical guy. So i am not much aware of these things. I could figure of some user-exits in Idoc processing but i see that Credit Memo is not getting effected with IMME and it is taking from PO.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

  • Payment Terms - Only specify sales text for payment terms for customers !

What is wrong with the format in the attached screen shot ?
Do I have to Choose Customer & Vendor ?

    Hi Emad,
This error “Only specify sales text for payment terms for customers" appears because this payment term is not applicable for customer. There are two choices either to delete the description text and make the payment term applicable only to vendor,However if you want to keep the description text, then make payment term applicable to customer as well by tick mark.

    Hi Hugo,
If as an ABAP developer, you want to display payments terms text in different languages, you can read ZTERM text from SAP table TVZBT, Customers: Terms of Payment Texts table.
Customers: Terms of Payment Texts TVZBT table has the following table columns.
    MANDT     Client
    SPRAS     Language Key
    ZTERM     Terms of payment key
VTEXT     Description of terms of payment
Stolen from [SAP Payment Terms Table and ZTERM Texts Table for ABAP Developers|http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/sap-payment-terms-table-and-zterm-texts-table-for-abap.aspx]

  • Payment Terms in Personal Setting in PO

    Hi,
In our company, we want that the payment terms of the PO should come from the vendor master, and we have greyed out the payment terms in the all po doc type, recently we have observed that some users have maintained wrong payment terms in the personal settting of the po screen (me21n), now he is able to save the po with the wrong payment terms,
now we want to remove payment terms field from the personal setting.
Please advise how to do it. sothat no user will be able to maintain personal setting for payment terms,
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ishu

    Hi Ishu,
I don't think this is possible in standard SAP. But you might be able to force the payment terms from the vendor into the PO using the BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST, method PROCESS_HEADER. The method is called after the default values have been applied - so you can reset the payment terms back there.
Call the method IM_HEADER->GET_DATA to get the PO header data, change the payment terms and store back the data by calling the method IM_HEADER->SET_DATA.

  • Payment terms and discount voor the purchasing invoice

    Hi all,
In the definitions of the payment terms, you can choose how the Due date should be based on: Document date, Posting date, System date or Closing date..we choose for the Document date. (due date = doc. date + 30 days)
In the payment terms you can also define a cash discount if we pay the suppliers invoice within certain days, than we can deduct a discount of the total amount to be paid.
So we define f.e. within 14 days, 2%.
However the title of this colums says: Days after Posting date and the system also react like this.
The posting date of the suppliers invoice can ofcourse be different as the document date of this suppl.invoice.
    F.e.: Suppliers Invoice: doc. date 30/9/2008, Posting date: 18/10/2008, Due Date 1/11/2008 (Doc.date + 30 days)
Payment at 25/10/2008 by the payment wizard.
The wizard still deduct 2 % as the due date of this invoice has not been reached, while the 2% should only be deducted if we pay before 14/10/2008.
So as we defined the due date based on the Document date, but the cash discount uses the posting date. (column title)
Is this wrong in the definitions or standard behaviour.
How can I use the cash discount in the payment terms?
    Please advise.
    Best regards,
    Carl Verhagen

    Hi Peter,
I'm talking about the A\R invoice.
The supplier sent his invoice with document date 1/10/2008 and his payment terms is payment within 30 days.
We receive the invoice at 3/10/2008 and after control etc. we will post the invoice at 7/10/2008.
If we use the posting date as a base for the due date, the invoice have to be paid at 6/11/2008, but the suppliers due date is 31/10/2008 and that's a difference of 1 nearly week.
If there are problems (f.e. caused by ourself) and the invoice will be booked at 20/10, we still have time to pay it before the due date 31/10 instead of 19/11/2008)
I think that the supplier will not be amused if we use the posting date as the base for calculating the due date.
We can discuss what's right to use, but SAP B1 gives the opportunity to choose between Doc.date, posting date and system date as a base for calculating the Due date but for cash discount it's automatically the posting date??
    Best regards,
    Carl Verhagen
