Payment terms list based on customer

Hello Everyone,
I have the following scenario.
When creating Sales Order, the client would like to see the payment terms based on the customer selected. That is, if the Customer A is selected then payment terms 001, 003 to be displayed in the drop down list. Then if customer B is selected then payment terms 004, 005 to be displayed in the drop down list.
Any idea how to configure this?

Logically, It is not possible in Standard SAP.
may be possible through Abap development by & linking Customer & terms of payment in Z table, which is called in Customer Master Creation.

  • Data is not populated in List based on custom Query

    I want to query the BO and display only certain instances in a advanced ListPane based on a query condition. But when i bind the custom query to the advanced list pane no data is displayed.
    1. Created a Bo PersistForcastBo.
    2. In Ti screen of PersistForcastBo add a tab QUALIFICATIONS.
    3. Two Advanced List Panes are created in QUALIFICATIONS tab
    4.fields of second advancedlist pane are bound to respective fields of Bo.
    5.Also an absl action script I created which displays data in the advanced listpane on click of QUALIFICATIONS tab.
    6.created a SADL Query in the controller and added the fields required for selection.
    6.also created condition in the selected parameter
    6. In AdvancedListPane added the default set created., but after the querying the Bo data doesnt display in AdvancedlistPane
    Can Anyone Please suggest a solution to this.

    On click of QUALIFICATIONS tab , Eventhandler gets called . In the eventhandler a Bo action is called first which is a absl script- displayforecast, to get all the data . The data in the list pane is populated due to this script. But when i created the query and binded the default set to the listpane the data is not populated
    the Eventhandler is called on Click of Qualifations Tab, first action gets called and then eventhandler  that executes defaultset is fired . This eventhandler is the handler created when query->defaultset is created
    but after firing this query no data is displayed.

  • How to block sales order and Delivery order based on payment terms ?

    Hi  experts ,
    I have an sceneria to block the sales order and delivery based on payment terms ?
        For eg )  Customer payment terms  is Z001 which is 5 % discount within 30 days , No discount within 60 days.
                        My requirement here is a)   if open item exceeds 30 days , delivery to be blocked
                                                               b)  if open item exceeds 60 days , Sales order to be blocked..
    Pls give me a solution....

    Here , i need to control , sales order to be allowed and delivery not to be allowed  for a customer if any open invoice within 30 to 60 days and sales order to be blocked if  open invoice exceeds 60 days..
    Is this possible in Credit management ?..

    Dear Vikas
    This is a very logical way of presenting things. The payment terms at sales org level are valid in line items. If  payment terms are defined only in the company code area, than the same is valid irrespective of the product or sales organization. You can disable the payment terms at sales organization level based on your business requirements.

    Hi,
    You can leave the Payment terms field in the sales area data tab blank. and you can enter the payment terms at line item level while creating the sales order. By that you will achieve multiple payment terms for the same customer in the same sales order. but the invoice will be split by standard SAP based on the payment terms.
    Also difference between the "Payment Terms" field in Company code tab and the sales Area tab is.
    Company code tab payment terms are used only for the documents that are posted directly in FI module. for example credit and debit memos posted directly in FI and as a leading practice this should always be "payable Immidiately"
    Sales area Tab payment terms are the one which are copied on to the sales order header data which are valid for all the line items unless you specifically mention different payment terms at line item level.

  • Customer numbers and payment terms

    Is there a way of having multiple payment terms for a single customer depending on product?
    Our payment terms vary depending on the product. To solve this we have created upto 5 customer codes with different terms for the same physical customer. The products are assigned to the relevant customer code.
    This set up works fine financially but is a pain for distribution planning. There is no link in SAP to recognise that some customers are the same and can be combined into single loads.

    Yes this is a genuine business requirement.  The best approach to address this is instead of changing the payment terms each and every time in customer master, the same can be done while creating sale order.   Based on some logic only, this will differ and if possible, may be you can apply a suitable exit to overwrite from customer master.  Dont encourage to change in customer master at any cost.

    Single Invoice has been raised with staggerred payment terms. For Ex: Invoice value is 100 Customer will be making payment in three equal instalments. (100/3)
    Currently in system we have configured single payment term. when we run the ageing report total value appear under one ageing buket.
    Can any one explain how to configure in system.

    Hi vijay,
    1.first you create the payment term as required by u,
    2. Maintain the customer master devision( product) wise and assign required payment term.
    3. If you are not maintain the customer master devision wise assign the payment term at the time of sales order creation.
    but one problem was there for payment terms, even if u maintain the customer master division wise with different payment terms, if u create the sales order with defferent materials, payment term will be picked the first line item related material.
    solution for the above is create separate sales order for each product if u maintain the division wise customer master with different payment terms are assigned to the each division.
    i think this may solve your problum, if u have any query let me know.

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to locate the payment terms field on a customer screen (FD03). I can't see it in either of the 3 screens - Address, Control Data and Payment Transactions - However i am able to see the payment terms in the table KNB1.
    Is there anything i need to do to see it on the FD03 screen??

    The field maybe hidden on the Payment transactions screen.

    Check the screen layout for that account group

    We want to Download list of payment terms.
    From SPRO path it gives the payment terms, one after another, but not the list.
    From where we can get the list of all payment terms.

    Go to ME23N Purchase Order Display and Select Po Header Delivery / Invoice Tab and then Select the Payment Terms Field and Press F4 and Here you will get all the Payment Terms List.
    The same you will Get using XK03 Payment Transactions Accounting Tab Select Payment terms tab and Press F4 and follow the above Procedure.

  • Assign price list based on value in Group field

    Hi,
    Is there a simple way to make the default price list for a customer based on the customer group value when creating/update a BP master data?
    i.e..When I create a new Business Partner, I choose group = wholesaler. I want the price list (under payment terms tab) to default automatically to the 'wholesaler' price list.
    Purpose of this is so that the new business partner gets the correct pricing as per what i have set up under price lists/volume discounts etc...

    As per your expanation you want to assing the Price list to payment terms.
    if you 10 customer groups and you want to assing the your payment terms to 4 of them so you cant do this for that you need to creat 4 payment terms base on customer group.
    The best and simple way you creat the your price list base on customer group, for that you may be use factor fuction.
    by way of FMS you can refresh Customer Master> payment terms Tab > Price List.

  • AR Invoice with Installment Payment Terms

    Hi to All,
    We have an invoice where the payment terms are based on installment. The installment is for 18 months.  Automatic cash receipts have been applied correctly for Installment 1 and Installment.
    Our situation is this where we want to apply an On Account receipt to installment 3.  When we query for the installment 3 invoice we are getting the following error message:
    "FRM-41830: List of Values contains no entries"
    Basically the the invoice is not being queried.  We checked the invoice, it is complete but the installments 3-18 are open.  What we like to know if we can preform an on account receipt to an installment invoice...if so what setup do we need to look for.

    Thanks for your reply.  We checked the invoice payment schedule in the tables are 4th to 18th are all open.  We have also verified this thru the forms and same appears.
    So when we go to receipts and attempt to apply on accounts funds to the invoice.  We cant query for the invoice.  The following oracle forms message appears:  "FRM-41830:  List of Values contains no entries"

    Please do the following settings and try to save the sales order system won't allow to save the sales order
    1. go toT-Code  VOV8 and tick the field "In completion message" under "Transaction flow" Tab
    2. go to T-Code VUA2 and Tick the" IC- Dialog" for corresponding Sales document type and assign the procedure
    Otherwise you can do one more  thinking
    Maintain the payment term is mandatory in customer master based on account group so at the time creating the customer master by using T-Code XD01, under sales View,  Billing Tab is there in that you can find out the "Terms of payment " it will show the mandatory field
    if you maintained the in the customer master system automatically picks at the sale order no need to enter
