Payroll ADP SAP interface

Hi Experts,

Irfan,
As mentioned above, PU12 is the tool you can use to send data to ADP. There is a standard interface OMTU in PU12 to send data to ADP you will need to copy it and create a Z interface for your requirement. It sends data through IDOCs.

How to Interface ADP Payroll to SAP?

All,
I have to do an interface from ADP Payroll to SAP(GL).
My FICO functional SME says there should be a program that we can run (e.g. from SE38) that will take the file from ADP and load it into SAP (will load the G/L entries into SAP).
Does anyone know what program this is?
ADP provides an ADP interface to SAP but will not provide the details unless my client buys it from ADP.
The client does not want to pay for this - they have a interface from ADP to their legacy system already in place, and want to just change the mapping format to what SAP requires. They know they will have to provide ADP with the SAP cost centers, etc. - that is not the question.

Scott,
Using Interface Toolbox you can build an interface to from SAP to ADP. I think ADP in return send you some data that can be used through Interface Toolbox. TCODE is PU12, if you know someone at your client who has some knowledge about PU12 then that person can help you.
If you want to explore by yourself then in tcode PU12 you should see the interface format OTMU and same file format.

Hi,
U.S payrolls:
SAP has given country specific payrolls for more than 40countries Each country specific version is called country version. Every country has a country specific payroll driver and pay roll schema based on modular international payroll driver and schema. When sap says country version it includes country specific civil, tax laws, contributory and other tax laws (all these details are populated in the country specific info types).
Some of them are:
- Personnel data -address-6, bank details-7, personal data-2, challenges-4 etc..
- Actions -0000 info type
- Organizational data
So when you run a payroll for a specific country, besides general information valid for the international pay roll, one needs to enter specific details in the particular info types for example if you are running U.S pay roll you need enter SSN no. to uniquely identify an employee in the info type 0002-personal data.
Besides the common infotypes these are some of the U.S pay roll specific infotypes that one has to configure in U.S pay roll.
- Garnishment Order - Info type 019
- Creating a Garnishment Order - Info type 0195
Inidan PayRolls:-
Indian pay roll besides common info types, uses specific info types from 0580 to 0590 and 0045 (loans infotype) -- these info types will capture the data related to all the major components of Indian pay roll.

Files are missing in the /usr/sap/interfaces/SID directory

hello Gurus,
Please help on this.
We have move the system to another host af4ho133, after moving, the files in the directory /usr/sap/interfaces/SID are now missing. The Daily loads jobs got failed due to unable to access the files placed in AL11. All the files are placed in old path(Host),In the changed host no files were placed.
Please extend your assistance.

If you move the all the files from one one host to another host, it does not work, you need to use the system copy

SAP Interface

Hello,
Need some guidelines regarding SAP Interface.
Iu2019m an Oracle Developer u2013 all the applications are developed using Oracle Form Designer and Reporter thru PL/SQL language. Most of the applications we develop are for the Banking Industry.
I have a requirement in which I need to build an interface from my Oracle Application to SAP. My Oracle Application is my own and therefore customizable.
Iu2019ve read a bit about BAPI and JCo u2013 but is still undecided on which is the u201Cbestu201D approach.
Or if thereu2019s any other approach, kindly let me know.
The application (Banking) requires real-time posting of data from front-end (Oracle) to back-end (SAP).
If possible, kindly provide me with some guideline.

Quite honestly, I have no idea. This is the SAP ABAP developers forum. I'm not sure what needs to be done in Oracle to call a BAPI.
You might want to search on the Oracle web sites or reach to your Oracle sales rep. I know Microsoft has a lot of info on their web site (they're "friends" with SAP apparently). Or, better yet, go talk to the SAP developers for the system you'll connect to. Maybe they have a completely different view on this.

I had developed and deployed the SAP PS - Primavera Interface in one of my projects. We had developed it using an ABAP program. I hope i answer all your questions to your satisfaction.
1. what are the Prerequisites?
I dont think there is any need for some major prerequisites other than the version of the Primavera software you are using. In our case we had used Primavera version P6. Find out from your business owner as to what all data he needs to upload or download using this interface. You can modify your ABAP program likewise.
2. How it works - means how data will get transferred from primaver to SAP?
a) The data between project structures will be mapped one to one basis. Ex. Project in SAP PS is mapped to Project in Primavera, WBS Elements in SAP PS will be mapped to WBS in Primavera, and Activity data in SAP PS is mapped as Activities in Primavera.
b) Frequency of data transfer will be weekly or Monthly. Every time data is exported from SAP PS to Primavera, new project will be created in Primavera.
c) Data will be transferred from SAP PS to Primavera in Batch mode and with manual intervention.
d) Data will be transferred from SAP PS in Comma Separated (.CSV) File format.
e) Primavera users will access MS-Excel interface to import data from CSV file in Primavera. MS-Excel will have a Macro written in Visual Basic Application (VBA) which will be initiated by user for data transfer.
f) Primavera Software Development Kit (SDK) will be used for transferring data in Primavera.

I may not be able to comment on the cost part since this interface was internally developed by our team. This interface is successfully being used by our organization as a reusable component in various projects, thus reducing the efforts considerably.

Do not run Transfer to GL in Oracle Payroll.

SFDC-SAP Interfaces

Hi
I am working on SFDC-SAP interfaces, in this i am having the interfaces like Sales Order creation and Sales Order Modification Interfaces. when i will create the SO it is working fine. when i am trying to do the Sales Order Modification it is showing the red flag in outbound status in the moni, but it is not showing any error, but sales order is not modifying.
Pls suggest me how can i solve this problem.

In SM58 status is nothing was selected
any search criteria was included?
From IDX5 also you can check the status in SM58 .....check if that shows you some error.

You need to activate the Related Business Function in ECC System.
Transaction: SFW5
Business Function rElated to AMI
ISU_AMI_1, ISU_AMI_2, ISU_AMI_3, ISU_AMI_4A, ISU_AMI_4B.

you can use payroll addon that is developed by certain SAP partner company.
if you want to manage the payroll manually, you can use vendor master data as employee and using journal entry to accomodate payroll transaction or using outgoing payment.

Actually, Sourcing 10.0 will only be available On Premise. The SAP Sourcing On-demand offering is no longer available and is replaced by Ariba Sourcing. In a more general discussion of the benefits of On-demand vs On-premise, the most obvious are the lack of up front licensing costs, no initial capital investment for the hardware and the simplification of ongoing maintenance and upgrades. For On-premise, the main benefit is you own the software and you can implement it where and how you want and you fully control the timing and frequency of upgrades. This type of decision is one that needs to include all the main stakeholders.

SAP interfaces in DS

We have some interfaces developed in ABAP and unix shells to transfer data from legacy systems to SAP ECC and viceversa, part of the ABAP code makes transaction records for example accounting payroll with BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST.
We area evaluating DS to replace this interfaces.
We know it is good option for extract and load the data in/out from legacies and SAP databases, but we would like to replace the ABAP Code also, so the questions are:
Is this posible?
How much of the ABAP code may be included inside DS, we know there new features like ABAP transforms, ABAP DF...
Is it posible to include the transactions inside DS for example accounting records? How to do this?
In general would be a good practice?

The Interaction with Data Services enables you to generate and execute ABAP Code. If your existing ABAP code is merely moving data or merging ECC tables to get a result - these can be recreated in an ABAP dataflow and in turn the new ABAP code would be generated and executable from Data Services in Dev. then when migrating to environments - you change the values of the ABAP dataflow to only execute - and migrate the ABAP code as you would for an ABAP developer.
It is pretty pain-free and you do not need to be a skilled ABAP developer to do it.
