  • Error in posting when transfer to a new personnel area / company code

    Dear Experts,
We have a scenario where we have a transfer action for some of employees to a new personnel area (also new company code).  When we post the result to accounting, we have an error like this : "Company code clearing account not found in co. code A for co. code B".  I can see that the program is trying to post to both old and new company codes.  I know that it might be a missing configuration in FI sides, but is it normal to post to both company codes.  Logically it should post only to the new company code right ?  Unless of course there is a retro run from the old company, but there isn't.
    Please advise.
    Thanks and regards,
    Arief

Ask ur controlling person reagarding this how he want to get
because generally there shd be two GL here for this scenario which is assigned to two company code
ask them how they have configured

  • Payroll Posting to multiple Company Codes in FI and CO possible?

    Dear experts,
I need your help on the following challenging issue with respect to payroll posting to accounting.
Is it possible for a payroll that runs in one company code for all employees, to post to FI and CO for multiple CoCds?
    Example:
WT 1234 exists in HR CoCd 1000 (assume an amount of u20AC 100 in the payroll results)
G/L ABC exists in FI CoCd 1000
G/L DEF exists in FI CoCd 2000
CCtr xyz exists in CO CoCd 1000 (which is the employee's master cost centre)
CCtr uvw exists in CO CoCd 2000
The wage type should be mapped as follows:
+ 100 to G/L ABC and CCtr xyz (this is no problem, is realized with standard mapping)
    - 100 to G/L DEF and CCtr uvw
The challenge is in the fact that the credit amount should go to another company code than the debit amount.
    How can I realize this?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
    Jeroen

    This is from SAP documentation:
Cross-company code transactions are characterized by the fact that payables are assigned to a company code other than the one in which the corresponding expenses arose. This results in receivables and payables between company codes.
If you want to post these receivables and payables to company code clearing accounts, you must make the settings in several steps, as outlined in the following.
Note that in the case of separate HR/AC systems, posting to company code clearing accounts can only be implemented if the AC system is in Release 4.5A or higher.
For more information on cross-company code transactions and business considerations, refer to the SAP Library under Payroll -> country -> Subsequent Activities -> Posting to Accounting -> Special Business Requirements for Posting -> Cross-Company Code Transactions.
Settings for Posting to Company Code Clearing Accounts
    1. In the step Define Symbolic Accounts, you must assign an account determination type to each symbolic account in Human Resources. For specific postings to balance sheet accounts, the account assign types FL and FO are used. From a technical viewpoint, these account assignments are defined as follows:
Wage types that are assigned to a symbolic account with account assignment type FL are posted in accordance with the information from the last period in the WPBP table (Work Center Basic Pay) for the current original result.
Wage types that are assigned to a symbolic account with account assignment type FO are only used for posting in the evaluation of a current original result.
    2. In the step Define Posting Characteristics of Wage Types, you must assign the symbolic accounts with the account assignment types FL and FO to the corresponding wage types:
You assign the symbolic accounts with account assignment type FL to wage types that, in the case of retroactive accounting, contain the difference between old and new payment amounts. In countries that use the principle of origin, this usually involves wage types /551 Recalculation difference and /552 Subsequent clearing from previous month.
You assign symbolic accounts with the account assignment type FO to wage types that contain payments to employees and whose amounts do not change in the case of retroactive accounting. This usually involves wage types /557 Cash payment, /558 Payment of balance, /559 Transfer and other, country-specific wage types.
    3. In the step Create Posting Variants, you must set the Post to company-code clearing account indicator for the variants that you use. Otherwise, payables and receivables between company codes are not posted to company code clearing accounts, and remain as the balance on the document split account for the company codes affected.

  • Company Code in T001 but not T880?

    Hi,
I am abapper and need some advice on HR company code config. I have searched the forum but could not find exact answer.
There are company codes which exist on T001 but not on T880. Am I correct in saying that these T001 codes must have been  maintained via SM30? I assume so because I cannot find SPRO path that would update only T001 and not T880 i.e. I see there is ES -> Definition -> FI -> Define company, but this updates to T880.
Is there any logic as to why company codes are created only on T001 and not T880? (I am trying to understand why this is set up as such).
If company codes are created via SPRO path above would they appear in both T880 and T001?
    All advice greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Warren.

    Hi,
    FYI :
A company is an organizational unit in Accounting which represents a business organization according to the requirements of commercial law in a particular country.
A company can comprise one or more company codes.
All company codes for a company must work with the same operational chart of accounts and fiscal year. The currencies used can be different.  It is prepared to show different balance sheets.
In HR, it is assinged to Personnel Area in table V_T500P from where it is displayed in IT0001.
    All the best.

  • Authorization issue with Company code/ Cost center combination

    Hi,
I am currently trying to restrict user access by company code and cost center combination.
We have roles defined for each user and I am trying to use the standard authorization object A_S_KOSTL in this role . It seems that since it is not a 'maintianed' object no activity can be assigned to this autorization object.
    currently the values are :
    company Code : 1110 , 1112, 1114
    Cost Center : *
i am getting sy-subrc as 0 even when i test for company code : 1110 for a user with the above role.
    My code is :
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'A_S_KOSTL'
        ID 'BUKRS' FIELD '1110'.
    F sy-subrc EQ 0.
      AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'A_S_KOSTL'
      ID 'KOSTL' FIELD '*' .
      IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
MESSAGE 'Success with KOSTL also' TYPE 'S'.
      ELSE.
MESSAGE 'Success with BUKRS only' TYPE 'S'.
      ENDIF.
    ELSE.
          MESSAGE 'Failure' TYPE 'S'.
    ENDIF .
I get a subrc NE 0 for the KOSTL part. The test passes for BUKRS.
Please advise on how to proceed.
    Thanks and Regards
    Soumya

Okay, I misread the "NE". Sorry.
Have you done a syntax check on it?
    Also compare to:
    AUTHORITY-CHECK <object>
    ID 'KOSTL' '*'.
I cannot confess to ever have done a "full" AUTHORITY-CHECK myself, but it is most likely the same as with DUMMY ->  you should not use the FIELD statement as '' value if the data element does not know what a '' is...

  • Can I create a single PO for two company codes

    Hi
Can I create a single PO for two company codes. Though I know that Company code is assigned at header level but still I know there is a setting in controlling which when activated two company codes under same controlling area can procure the goods under the same PO.But i forget from where to activate that message or control in config.
    Thanks

    Hi Lekhram,
I'm just beginner so maybe I got the wrong end of the stick.
If you order something that something must belong to a definite company > plant. How could possess two company the same thing at the same time (totally)?
(companies are at the same organisational level - none of them is subject to the other).
    Maybe I'm mistaken.
So I <b>guess</b> you can use only one company code for one PO.

  • Planning Plnat of different company codes

I have 1000 and 2000 as company codes and 1000 and 2000 as respective plants. Then 1000 as a planning plant assigned to both 1000 and 2000 planning plants. Whenever, I create a maintenance order with 1000 as planning plant I found 1000 as company code in the order additional data tab. I want have 2000 as company code here and 1000 planning plant. Is it possible to have 2000 Company code here ?
    Regards,
    VM

    Dear VM,
In the organization hierarchy Clients->Controlling Area->Company code (As many ypu can have under one controlling area)-->Miantenance Plant (As many but once one plant is assigned to one company code that can't assigned to another company code)-->Now you Plaaning Plant (Eg. CCod 1000 and Plants are 100, 101, 102 assigned to it. Now one of this plant can be planning plant for all thrree plant.
Now Controlling area comes at the top and as many company code can be assigned to it. So its not possible to post document for both comapny code.

  • One common plant for 15 company code , is it

    Dear Friends,
I have to make 15 company codes , but all company code have common plant that is centralised plant (1CEN) , but in SAP system does not accept it.
System gives message- "this plant is allready assinged to company code - XXX "
    How can solve this ?
    Regards,
    Mahesh.

    Hi,
One plant can not be assigned to multiple company codes, as plant/plants is/are company code specific
The concept of company code is a business organization with association or collection of individual of real persons who each invested some form of capital. This group of individuals has a common purpose of installing plant; manufacture goods and sale the goods aiming for gaining profits which in turn company with company code is itself considered a "legal person". So in this system how other company code can come & do activities {Manufacturing, Processing, and Selling) in the same plant with same sales area.

  • Personnel area without assigning to Company code.

    Hi All,
Can you let me know the scenario where it is not mandatory to assign a company code to the personnel area ?
Also, is it possible to configure SAP HR for a personnel area in such a situation?
    Thanks & Regards, Swapnil Mishra

    Hi Swapnil,
I think assignment of Personnel Area to Company Code is required when SAP HR-Payroll results are posted into Accounts, means it is required for integration of SAP HR and SAP FI. Also you will find a feature 'PPMOD' used during accounting posting also use BUKRS in decision tree.

  • Set up Trip Number by Company Code, not Personnel Area

    Hi Gurus,
I'm implementing Travel Management Module and I am totally new.
There are more than 400 Personnel Areas in the system so I'm just wondering whether it is possible to set up trip number rage by Company Code rather than Personnel Areas.
Anyone encounter this, and how did you get around?
I've heard that user exit MP56TFEX can be used, but how? - (Please note that I'm totally new to user-exit)

  • Can a personnel area be assigned to more than one company code?

    Hi experts,
Can a personnel area be assigned to more than one company code?
    Regards,
    Anita George

Yes, as Siva said it is not possible.
Between personnel area and company code -
many to one mapping is allowed but one to many is not allowed. That is you can map more than one PA to 1 company code but 1 PA can not be map to more than one company code.
