Pbcopy and pbpaste exit code 1, no error message

I'm trying to use `pbcopy` and `pbpaste` to copy and paste to the clipboard from a shell. I read the man page to learn the syntax for these programs. However, no matter how I try to invoke `pbcopy` or `pbpaste`, they refuse to work, exiting code 1 with no error message. Command-C and Command-V work as normal.

[jay-mba-osx ~]% pbcopy < foo.txt
[jay-mba-osx ~]% echo $?

[jay-mba-osx ~]% echo foo | pbcopy -pboard general

[jay-mba-osx ~]% pbcopy --help
[jay-mba-osx ~]% echo $?

[jay-mba-osx ~]% which pbcopy
/usr/bin/pbcopy
[jay-mba-osx ~]% pbpaste
[jay-mba-osx ~]% echo $?
1
Any ideas why this is happening? It persists across reboots.
EDIT: OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Here is the result of `uname -a`:
    Darwin jay-mba-osx.local 13.0.0 Darwin Kernel Version 13.0.0: Thu Sep 19 22:22:27 PDT 2013; root:xnu-2422.1.72~6/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

I figured out that it was tmux causing the problem. Fixed with https://github.com/ChrisJohnsen/tmux-MacOSX-pasteboard

Xcode clang exit code of 254 error message; what does it mean?

I have tried to develop an iOS app on Xcode 4.3 and it has failed and quite with the message: clang exit code of 254.
This has happened twice with the exact same error message. When it happened the first time, I closed my project, then quit Xcode and opened it again. I thought that I needed to flush my settings and should start over again to make sure that the error did not happen again. But it did.
Can you tell me what this error message means and tell me what I need to do to keep it from happening again?

this happened to me alsi and it turned out to be the slightest error in my code. I simply went through my methods in the class where the crash was occuring and found a couple of simple mistakes that 4.2 was not bothered with and fixing the second one fixed it.

Same problem. I have CC installed on Win 7 with all other apps working fine. Tried to install Lightroom 5 and got:

I uninstalled all Adobe CC software, ran Adobe CC Cleaner, cleaned my Registry using Piriform CCleaner 5, rebooted and reinstalled CC from scratch. Same problem--everything else installed correctly except Lightroom 5. Also tried uninstalling KB2918614--no joy.

I am trying to install Creative Cloud programs, have managed to download and install Dreamweaver and Photoshop but when trying to install Fireworks and other programs I get the error message Exit code 7 : Error: updating driver data failed. Driver entry not added.
I am using a Dell 5010 running Windows 7.

My pc is based on asus motherboard. Labview 7 and Windows 2000 sp4 installed.
The error message continue also if i stop the application that generated report on a: .
I've got this problem only on a pc: on other machines i don't have this problem (Labview only continues to access floppy but it doesn't show any window).
Find below an example: first press the button to create a report on a: then remove the floppy, after 30-35 sec i've got the error message

Hi,
I tried your vi: I don't get any error message after removing the disk but LV7 keeps on accessing the drive at regular intervals even if you stop the vi and close it!!! This is not supposed to happen.
The only way to stop it is exit LV7.
If you don't use the file dialog and you wire a full path, you don't get any problem.
I also created a very simple vi that conditionally writes a text file on a: and I got the same behaviour.
This problem occurs only with LV7, I tried the same examples in LV6.1 and everything was fine.

The prior uninstall included the establishment of administrator rights to files and folders left in the Apple folder after running the uninstaller, and successfully removing ALL visible and hidden Apple files and folders.

On Oracle Metalink site, there are many documents which says that Oracle 32 bit software works on 32 bits OS and 64 bits software works on 64 bits OS. Official support is only in those combination....
So there is no good way to help you in your case-XE is 32 bit application with hard codded compiled libraries which most of them would not work on 64 bit OS.

When we are trying to test webservices (exposed webservice in PI) scenarios in PI box we are getting error related Adapter framework service

in the RWB it is showing that

If you want to resolve this error when dealing with the messages, please try the cache refresh with the link:

And also go thorugh:
- In Integration Repository/Directory go to menu Environment ->
Clear SLD Data Cache
- In R/3 go to transaction SXI_CACHE -> menu XI Runtime Cache -> Start
Complete Cache Refresh
MESSAGE EXPIRED:
Increase the value of the timeout parameter 'xiadapter.inbound.timeout.default' under Services -> 'XPI Adapter:XI'
to a higher value say '600000'.

Most probably you are getting the null pointer exception because of wdControllerAPI.getControllerInfo().findInEventHandlers("ok") as WD is not able to find the ok event handler.
I guess you have already defined the "ok" event handler in your view .
Considering that the name of the event handler is "ok" , you can make the following change in
your code
confirmDialog = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createConfirmationWindow(dialogText,wdThis.WD_EVENTHANDLER_ON_ACTION_OK, "ok");

Let us go back over that Adobe document regarding troubleshooting damaged projects.

Where you able to follow that path and delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file at the end of the path? And, after you did, did the saved/closed programs still refuse to open? If you could not carry out this procedure, what were the limiting factors that kept you from do

That is an important one. How far did you get into following the instructions given in the document? If you could not complete the test, what was the major block that prevented you from doing so?
I want to make sure that we have gone through everything in that document and ruled all factors there in or out. If it was a matter of you not understanding the instructions, I am hoping that the above will channel you questions to me so that I can clarify anything that you did not understand in the Adobe document instructions.
I do not recall if I asked previously. Even if you cannot open all your saved/closed projects, can you still open a new project and save/close it? Maybe even reopen it?
Please review and consider.

Sims game keeps quiting and giving me a type 3 error message!

I have been playing The Sims Original on my Power Macintosh 8600/300 for awhile now and all of a sudden after installing well over 800 new items (Like TVs,couches) it continuesly closes out and gives me a type 3 error message sometimes it freezes the whole computer as well. It simply just closes out as if I clicked it then once its closed it will give me the error message. I have never had this problem before and yes Iam pretty sure it can possibly be the items but theres so many and I dont want to loose them all! I dont even know for sure if thats the problem. My PM 8600 runs Mac OS 9.2.2,and has 160MB of RAM.

Well I just installed it into my iMac yesterday (Without any of the downloads) and it works fine! I guess it was the downloads. Ill have to watch out for them. I dont know why though, Even after I got rid of them all on thePowerMac it didnt stop with the message so I put them back! Then I got a type 2 error. Why? I like it on the iMac but I cant get my saved files over on this mac. Can I share files VIA USB?
