PC scheduling - after event and in certain time together

Hi Experts,
I have question concerning scheduling of the process chains. Our transactional data process chain needs to wait for certain job in R/3 to finish and only then we can run the PC. How do you set such event? Please be as detailed as possible.
Currently we have one metachain running master data loads and then transactional data loads. My other question is if we can combine 2 events and start the TD only after both events (when MD loads and R/3 job finish as well). Or start TD loads only after certain time and after job in R/3 finishes.
Can you please let me know your suggestions how to do that?

Hi,
Creat a process chain for master data load and one meta chain for Transaction data load and include it after master data load. Trigger the master load with even raise from R/3.
You can raise a event in BW once the job get completed in R/3. This you can do by executing the BP_EVENT_RAISE function module with destination. The destination you can mention the target system and trigger a event. You can achieve this with ABAP program.
After the master data load, the transaction data load will start in meta chain.

in this case I would download a really new trial version of your program in question (DW) and change it into a "real" version later, BUT because you said, that you "re-installed" already, so it will become a little bit more complicated. It would be necessary that you have to use "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool".
Here an advice for that (The order varies depending on your individual needs. Please read all my proposals first, so you can better choose the first step:)
1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:

2. Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
3. You did you already try "uninstalling and re-installing". Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

If you're running Java 7, then in System Preferences > Java > Java Control Panel in the Security tab there is a check box to enable Java in your browser. To check for update go to the Update tab.

HT5129 I had photos from MobileMe organized into different events. When iPhoto made a MobileMe event, it took all of those photos out of the other events and put them all together in the new "from MobileMe" event. Is there any way to reverse this?

Job Scheduling --- Both Event and Time driven

Hi,
We have a Job X scheduled to run on 23:30 hrs everyday. The run of the Job varies from 15 min to 45 min. Now as per Business need we are to schedule a Job Y that runs immediately after finish of Job X. We have another criteria, which is the Job Y should run the following day and not the present day.
So, if Job X finishes on current day then Job Y too runs on the same date.
Is there a way in which, we could combine both the Time driven and Even Driven option together and schedule the Job Y.
Job Y checks that Job X got finished and if date is current date it waits and runs the following day at 00:00 hrs.
Job Y checks that Job X got finished and if date is following day it runs immediately.
Please suggest.

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

- Jobchain A in SAP system 1 raises EVENT E1
- Jobchain B in SAP system 1 raises EVENT E2
- Jobchain C should run after A and B in SAP system 2.
Jobchain A and B are defined in isolation group I1.
Jobchain C is defined in isolation group I2.
Where and how do I have to define the EVENTs.

The main idea of isolation groups is that there are no dependencies between objects/jobs/... in different isolation groups.
So the job chains need to be in the same isolation group.

Has anyone had problems in v5.0a of Iplanet calendar installed on a Sun box with creating events and daylight savings time?

Events created around 4/6/2002 at 8pm get created with the wrong time (9pm) and there are several other creation and display problems tied to Daylight Savings in April and October. Version 5.1 of the software seems to fix that but we are looking for a fix until we can upgrade. We have been using Windows systems to access the calendar.

We have not seen exactly this, but many users appointments are lining up in the wrong time slots. Also, when scheduling, the time display is off by an hour. We have found what looks like a temporary fix.
We noticed that the problem only affects users who have the start of the week set to Sunday (when daylight savings time started). Setting the week to start on Monday fixed our display problems (you can do it in the users, options section).

Trying to restore after crash and rebuild but Time Machine isn't seeing my NAS drive.

My MacBook Pro had it's first crash in 6 years or daily use and abuse. Came home from work and had the "You need to restart your mac, hold down the power button" screen in 10 languages. After a heart attack, a visit the the neighborhood bar for a couple shots, I came home and spent most of the night troubleshooting:
wouldn't boot in safe mode (holding down shift...just sat there with the grey apple and spinning icon for hours)
booted off OS disc and ran Disc Utility (it said everything was fine)
booted with hardware test off install disc and ran extended test (said everything was fine)
Still wouldn't boot off hardrive, so I gave up and said "hey, this is why I spent hundreds on the backup drive and have been running Time Machine for a month, so I'll just wipe it clean and restore." Well...here's where the fun begins:
Erased the disc and reloaded Snow Leopard. All seems to be working fine. Mac sees the Buffalo Linkstation Duo drive just fine, can copy info back and forth...all's good. I reboot using the Snow Leopard disk and go to Utilities/Restore ... and the drive isn't there to restore from. The drive is obviously operating fine...this is an issue with Time Machine (likely one of Apple's 'If you don't buy our product we're going to make it really hard for you" type of things).
Any Ideas on how to get it to show up?

I saw Pondini's comments on several posts that were related but either not quite the same issue, or noone had figured out the solution yet. I think I may have it solved though.
I found a couple posts elsewhere that laid out some clear solutions. I tried them and they appear to have worked...it's working on a restore now, it says two hours left so I'll know soon.
The big part I was missing was how to mount the drive from Terminal when working off the OS disc. After booting regularly off the harddrive, I was able to connect to the NAS using terminal with SMB://ipaddress ... and it would even stay connected after regular reboot...however after rebooting using the CD is no longer saw the NAS, not in Time Machine or Disk Utility or System Profile. I tried smb again using the Terminal in the Utilities menu but it wouldn't accept it.
I found this info on how to mount and it worked like a charm...http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=2009103103534090 .... then TimeMachine saw the drive and everything so far has gone smoothly.
I did bookmark Pondini's site for forther reading later, seemed to have some good info there.

Scheduler Jobs that run between certain times?

Is there an easy way to query which dbms_scheduler jobs run between any given times?
If I look at repeat_interval in user_scheduler_jobs, for example, I've got things like "FREQ=DAILY; BYHOUR=14,16,18,20,8,10,12; BYMINUTE=30" and "FREQ=HOURLY; INTERVAL=2;" and "FREQ=DAILY;", and it's not therefore clear to me how I could write a query that would find which jobs run between (say) 17:00 and 19:00.
Is there a function, or a neat bit of sql, that will 'explode' the repeat interval (presumably, in the case of the last two examples above, with reference to the start_date) into standardized times which I could then query? Or is there some other way of doing it?

There are no schedules used here. The repeat interval is specified for all jobs at the time of creating the job.
Besides, that wouldn't address the issue, even so. Even if schedules are in use, they declare their repeat interval in the form "freq=daily;byhour=3,4,5,6;byminute=0;bysecond=0", stored in a text field. Exactly the same, in fact, as the repeat_interval column in the user_scheduler_jobs column.
So how do you derive from that the knowledge that the job can run some time between 2 and 8AM?
I want to list all jobs which might start between those two times, but I do not know syntactically or logically how it is possible to query either user_scheduler_jobs or all_scheduler_schedules to select all rows where repeat_interval "is somehow covered by the time range 2 to 8".

SanDisk Cruzer Facet 16GB now only 650MB even after reformatting and erasing several times.

My iMac was behaving strangely... actually, ever since I've had it, I'm still trying to figure that one out with the help of Apple care. But one of our attempts involved my 16GB flash drive being used as a Disk Recovery Assistant because we discovered that my comuter had somehow lost its copy.
This means I had to format my flash drive to ONLY contain this Assistant. It's been over a month now, and I'm nearing the end of the semester, so I need my flash drive back. I plugged it into my iMac, and used disk utility to erase everything. I have a copy of what used to be on my computer, but when I went to trasnfer it over, it said I had run out of free space. In the disk utility I saw that it only had about 650MB, even though it's a 16GB flash drive.
I'm so confused and frustrated. I'm not sure if I did any of this right. I erased it like I said in Disk Utility (several times actually, since it wasn't working), and then switched over to my PC and tried reformatting it there in Windows land. I was still running into the same problem. Not really sure if I should be doing something else or not. I'm still missing almost all of the free space on my flash drive. I'm positive it was 16GB too, it even says so on the back of the flash drive. I've kept it in ExFAT. Tried Mac Extended, MS-DOS(FAT), and it still says 650MB.
I looked up forums that where people had similar problems, but erasing and reformatting ALWAYS seemed to work for them. Not here. It's not working at all.
[Edit] I'm wondering if adding the disk recovery assistant created a partition on the drive that I can't see.

I have reinstalled it now and it says I've had 2 errors within the last hour.

Also, just in case you are a computer person, I was wondering what this meant. My e-mail and various accounts were hacked around 2 weeks ago, so I'm kind of paranoid. Is this something I need to be worried about?:

Illustrator update won't install, even after uninstalling (using the "Uninstall Adobe Illustrator CS6" app and retrying (using Adobe Application Manager}multiple times. Now I can't open AI CS6 at all.
The error message I get in Application Manager is:
"Application could not be found. Restore in case it was trashed/moved to a different volume. Reinstall the application otherwise (U44M1P2B)"

Can you please try installing the Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774.
If that doesn't work then the safest course would be to remove all Adobe Creative Software using the uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. This should then remove the Adobe Application Manager folder also inside Utilities. Once the software is completely uninstalled and the Adobe Application Manager is removed then you should be able to reinstall from https://creative.adobe.com/.

Wifi disconnects after sleep and takes long time to reconnect with Mavericks

Has anyone/ Apple come up with a solution? A workaround OTHER THAN disabling then reenabling the wifi adapter? This is certainly frustrating

Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Make sure the network is on the preferred list by following these instructions. It's important to read the article carefully, as it's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem. If you skip any of the steps, the problem may not be solved. Make sure the box marked

is checked.
2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading
Symptom: After restarting or waking from sleep, my computer might not connect to the Internet
3. Reset the PRAM.
4. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.

Capture system print event and system idle time

Hello,
We are creating a desktop widget using AIR. The widget will be docked to the system tray. What we want to achieve is:
1. When the user invokes Print function at the OS level, from any location/appolication, the AIR widget shall listen to it and show an alert.
2. The widget should be able to detect a predefined system idle time (wherein the user is not interacting with the system as a whole - neither mouse nor keyboard inputs - for a predefined interval), and perform an action based on that.
How shall it be possible to detect the above 2 scenarios in AIR?
Any help in this regards, will be highly appreciated.

SriniThis profile option exists in 11i and R12, it is a seeded one and not a custom one as you mentioned above.
It is even mentioned in (R12.0.6+ : Oracle Application Object Library Profile Options Data Collection Test [ID 471675.1]).
