PCA/ Transport

Hi,
PCA transaction 0KE5 i have created in golden client and while i saved it i didn't get any transport number to save this, but while i copied (SCC1) the controlling area setting (OKKP)  using the transport number  to the testing client it copied the 0KE5 as well into the testing client.
Question: As there was no transport number while saved the 0KE5 tranactions how did the system copied them into testing and how can we know if there is any configs that can be copied but no transports popsup while we save, how do know to which transport it is going to be saved?
Thank you.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for reply,
I dont think OKE8 deals with PCA cycles.

    Hi guys
What is the correct transport sequence in PCA, is it : Maintain controlling area settings  - master data or vice versa
    MS

    Hi,
Transporting objects in SAP BW is not same like in other SAP or non-SAP systems, handling transportation in SAP BW is some what different. Here below listed all the BW objects in sequence to follow while transporting with in the landscape.
    1. R/3 - R/3 objects must be transported first before BW transports cab begin
    2. Development Class - for backend objects
    3. Developer Security Roles - End user roles for projects can be transported later
    4. Application Component - including InfoAreas
    5. Custom Tablespace /  Custom Data Class - DBA creates custom tablespaces and Basis data class entries must be transported
    6. InfoObject & InfoObject Catalogs - only object definition, no  InfoSource or Rules
    7. DataSources - replicate DataSources prior to importing objects listed below
    8. InfoSources - master data and text
    9. Data Targets for Transactional data - InfoCubes and ODSs (this can be grouped with the two following items
    10. InfoSource - Transaction Data ODS - includes Update Rules, Communication Structure, Transfer Rules, Transfer Structures, InfoPackages
    11. InfoSource - Transaction Data InfoCubes - includes Update Rules, Communication Structure, Transfer Rules, Transfer Structures, InfoPackages
    12. MultiCubes
    13. Development Class - for frontend objects
    14. InfoSet Queries
    15. End user security roles
    16. Variables Customer Exit code
    17. Workbooks / Queries/ Structures / Calculated Key Figure / Restricted Key Figure
    18. Workbook Folders - needs to be transported whenever new workbooks are created
    19. Jump Targets
    20. Process Chains

  • EC-PCA FI DATA TRANSPORT ?

    HI EVERYONE!
How can i transport some fi documents which debit and crebit is coustomer account or vendor account data to PCA?

    Hi Zhou,
There is user exists that you can use to change the Profit center depending on your criteria.
You can flag your FI documents when if you are using FB70 for an A/R invoice with whatever criteria to flag this transaction.  Once you have flag the field RF048-BLCHR, then you can use another user exit that is used in tcode F.5D  Search for the flag in field BLGCHR in addition to other criterias and then change your profit center to xyz value.
This should also be applicable for your FI A/P vendor posting. You can flag this entries.
Check the following user exits - EXIT_SAPLF048_001 and EXIT_SAPLF048_002.
You will have to perform a lot regression test because of the integration points when posting from different modules.(MM,SD, Inventory..etc.) You only want to affect entries that were manually done on the FI...
Note sure whether this will help.  Just another way of FI posting to PCA

  • Transport of PCA BC

    Hello,
I'd like to transport my new report + everything before. The data source should be 0EC_PCA_3 and the cube is ZPCA_C03.
Which way would be the most clever one to transport this? I cannot do it the usual way (cube + everything before) since the info source incl. transfer rules will not be included.
    Thanks,
    Fredrik

    hi Fredrik,
try to use cube zpca_c03 as starting point,
rsa1->transport connection->'object type' in left panel, middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects' and choose zpca_c03 and 'transfer'. it will then go to right panel. set collection mode to 'manual', and grouping 'only necessary objects' and 'execute'. after objects collection finished, create request.
then do the same for grouping 'in dataflow before', here make sure your source system is marked when click 'source system assignment', after objects collection finished, expand infocube and make sure update rules, transfer rules, datasource etc are there and marked. create another new request. last, repeat the same for grouping 'in dataflow afterward', this will collect report/query etc.
take a look transport tips doc

  • Transport cost center standard hierarchy & profit center herarchy

    Dear All,
Pls guide how to transport cost center standard hierarchy, cost center groups, profit center hierarchy and profit center groups from config client to production?

    Hi,
For CO data go to OKE6 transaction and create a change request.
For PCA, go to 0KEQ and do the same.

  • Report Painter:create a transaction, transport DEV to PRD

    Dear all,
I have created my first report in GRR1 (Report Painter / Writer), modifying a standard report that uses the library 8A2 (EP PCA).
In all, i created the following objects:
    1) report ZRPRT (created with T. GRR1 (Report Painter / Writer))
    2) report group Z8XY(created with T. GR51), that contains only this report
    3) Account group Z_CO_XY (created with T. KDH1),with the GLPCT table, field RACCT. Z_CO_XY is  input parameter as group account, via selection screen, of the report ZRPRT.
    Now i would like:
    1. Create a transaction to run this report from the mainmenu.
2  Transport everything,  from DEV to PRD.
I would like to have everything in a PRD, also for maintenance reasons.
If in the future, i need to modify this report, I would be able to bring everything from PRD to DEV to make those changes (if, in the meantime, the objects were deleted from DEV, for whatever reason)
Please, can you give me an explanation step-by-step what I should do. Any advice is welcome!
    Thank you in advance.

Add custom reports to an existing Report Tree (SERP)
    For example:
Add custom report to:  Project System/Information System/Financials/u2026
    Find u201CPS91u201D from SERP
    Add a report to PS91
The trick is find the existing report tree related to standard main menu.
Or create a new report tree where you house all custom or selected reports in one place.
May also consider using area menu (SE43): create a structure, for example, to house all custom reports.  A useful tool to manage custom/specifc reports

    Maintain Controlling Area Settings:
In development server i maintained PCA controlling area settings like "Standard Hierarchy, PCt Local Currency Type '.
after i we transported to testing server these are not transported all other are transported.
can you plz explain on this. and give me solution.
    thank you

    Hi,
These parameters are not included automatically in transport; you have to include them manually via 0KEP and 0KEQ transactions.

  • Intercompany billing and PCA

    Hi,
We've got a problem after PCA was implemented with Intercompany billing and especial the End customer invoice.
The scenario where Profit centre is updated on the material Master and we would like to keep the same Profit centre throughout all the stages of the process without using substitution as the product range is dynamic very.
We have implemented a user exit on the point of the Sales order creation which copies the value from field PRCTR (delivery PC) to field PCTRF (Billing PC) but on the next stage billing document is created the value is deleted again. As there is no substitution the Dummy Profit centre is used for the End Customer Billing document.
I have asked SAP what can be done without using substitution and they said we should check SD copy routines but they didn't get very far and I wanted to check if someone has better advice or know how the copy should be set up.
    Please for your advice.
    Thank you

    http://www.sap-img.com/materials/mm-faq.htm
    Steps in configuring STO:
If you are referring to Inter company STO, pls follow the below steps.
    1) Create delivering plant as vendor in receiving plant’s company code & sales area – XK01
    2) From the vendor number created in step 1, create Vendor info record for the material that needs to be stock transferred.
    3) Ensure material is extended to both plants
    4) Delivering plant must be assigned to the receiving sales organization
    5) In the Vendor info record, go to MK03 and change the “add purchasing data” to delivering plant.
    6) Create receiving plant as customer in delivering plant’s company code & sales area.
    7) Ensure Purchase organization for the receiving plant is maintained
    8) Go to IMG- Materials Management-Purchasing-Purchase Order-Set up stock transport order ( transaction code:OMGN) and complete all the settings.
    Note:
Maintain receiving plant / customer number from step 6/ delivering sales area
Delivering plant/ customer number from step 6/ receiving sales area
Maintain NLCC replenishment for cross company stock transfer with delivery type NB
    9) ME25- Create Purchase Order from receiving plant
    10) VL10B - Create delivery order from delivering plant’s shipping point with reference to the purchase order number raised in step 9.
    Save.
    11) Go to VL02n & pick /post goods issue for the delivery order number created in step 10
    12) Do VF01 & bill to customer
In step 8 You have the option of UB type in place of NB
In step 10 you can also use VL04.
In step 12 you select F8 type (pro-forma invoice).
    Reward points if it helps

  • PCA dilemma

    Hello BW friends,
    I have a PCA-related problem:
I need to report planned and actual values on material group (attribute on 0MATERIAL).
In R/3 field "representative material" I have the planned values. This is transported to BW using data source 0EC_PCA_1.
In R/3 field "material" I have the actual values. This is transported to BW using data source 0EC_PCA_3.
I guess that I need to use both of these data sources in order to be able to report on both actual and planned values?
Also, I somehow need to direct both representative material and material into info object 0MATERIAL (since material group is an attribute of this one).
    How would you solve this?
I'd be really thankful for some input...
    BR,
    Fredrik

    Hello again,
I need to add field MATNR to the extract structure for data source 0EC_PCA_1 (ISPCACST) in order to be able to report on material number. But how should the user exit for this be written?
I know that the original table for actual PCA postings is GLPCA and the plan postings are in table GLPCP. All postings end up in table GLPCT (aggregated per period) and then function module ECPCA_BIW_GET_DATA reads this and populates structure ISPCACST. Am I right?
But how do I write the user exit code so that MATNR is added and populated in ISPCACST? Which is the source table to use? I would have guessed on GLPCT (since this seems to be used for 0EC_PCA_1) but I can't find MATNR in this one.
How come ds 0EC_PCA_3, which uses the same function module for extraction, and thereby reads from the same source table: GLPCT, includes MATNR?
Please explain the logic of this and I'll be eternally greatful! :-)..
    Best regards,
    Fredrik

  • Transport costs in COPA

    Hello,
We are trying to assign transport costs to copa, we execute VI01 transaction and we do account assignment. It appears account assignment fully completed but when we display the profitability segment there are some of the value fields that are empty. We have checked that when we register vendor billing documents it works correctly and all the fields have their corresponding value.
Maybe we have to customize something for transport costs?
    Thank you very much
    Beatriz

    Hi,
If you want to study COPA Infirmation refer this may be you will get idea
    Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
    Purpose
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) enables you to evaluate market segments, which can be classified according to products, customers, orders or any combination of these, or strategic business units, such as sales organizations or business areas, with respect to your company's profit or contribution margin.
The aim of the system is to provide your sales, marketing, product management and corporate planning departments with information to support internal accounting and decision-making.
Two forms of Profitability Analysis are supported: costing-based and account-based.
Costing-based Profitability Analysis is the form of profitability analysis that groups costs and revenues according to value fields and costing-based valuation approaches, both of which you can define yourself. It guarantees you access at all times to a complete, short-term profitability report.
Account-based Profitability Analysis is a form of profitability analysis organized in accounts and using an account-based valuation approach. The distinguishing characteristic of this form is its use of cost and revenue elements. It provides you with a profitability report that is permanently reconciled with financial accounting.
You can also use both of these types of CO-PA simultaneously.
    Integration
Profitability Analysis, alongside Profit Center Accounting (EC-PCA), is one of the application components for profitability accounting.
    Features
In the application component CO-PA, you can define your master data, the basic structures of this form of profitability analysis. This includes both units you want to evaluate (characteristics) and the categories in which you analyze values. In costing-based CO-PA, you define "value fields" in which to store your data for analysis. In account-based CO-PA, the values are structured by account.
Using the SAP master data (customer, product, customer hierarchy) or CO-PA derivation rules, the system can derive additional characteristics based on the ones entered manually or transferred from primary transactions. The combination of characteristic values forms a multidimensional profitability segment, for which you can analyze profitability by comparing its costs and revenues.
If you reorganize parts of your company, such as your sales districts or customer hierarchies, you can change the assignments between characteristics for data that has already been posted.
The actual postings represent the most important source of information in CO-PA. You can transfer both sales orders and billing documents from the Sales and Distribution (SD) application component to CO-PA in realtime. In addition, an interface program is available to let you transfer external data to the R/3 System. You can also transfer costs from cost centers, orders and projects, as well as costs and revenues from direct postings (G/L account postings in FI, orders received in MM, and so on) or settle costs from CO to profitability segments.
In costing-based CO-PA, you can valuate incoming sales orders or billing documents to automatically determine anticipated sales deductions or costs. You can also revaluate your data periodically to adjust the initial, realtime valuation or add the actual costs of goods manufactured.
In CO-PA Planning, you can create a sales and profit plan. Whereas both types of Profitability Analysis can receive actual data in parallel, there is no common source of planning data. Consequently, you always plan either in accounts (account-based CO-PA) or in value fields (costing-based CO-PA). In costing-based CO-PA you can use automatic valuation to calculate planned revenues, sales deductions and costs of goods manufactured based on the planned sales quantity.
The manual planning function lets you define planning screens for your organization. With this you can display reference data in planning, calculate formulas, create forecasts, and more. Planning can be performed at any degree of detail. For example, you can plan at a higher level, and have this data distributed top-down automatically.
In automatic planning, you can copy and revaluate actual or planning data for a large number of profitability segments at once. You can also transfer planned sales quantities from (costing-based) CO-PA to Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) for the purpose of creating a production plan there.
The Information System lets you interactively analyze existing data from a profitability standpoint using the functions of the drilldown reporting tool. There you can navigate through a multidimensional "data cube" using a number of different functions (such as drilldown or switching hierarchies). The system displays data in either value fields or accounts, depending on the currently active type of Profitability Analysis and the type to which the report structure is assigned. (Each report structure is assigned to either costing-based or account-based CO-PA.)
You can change the display parameters online directly from the displayed report. You can store report structures with predefined sort orders, number formats and so on, and execute these online or in the background at any time.
    Hope this helps you
    Prem.
