Yes you can, and here's an example that worked with DAQmx on an E-series board. Ctr0 counts edges of the internal 20 MHz timebase, rolling over to 0 a little more than once a second. It uses the DAQmx Export Signal property node to program the counter to Pulse on reaching TC (terminal count). The pulse signal is sent to a terminal that Ctr1 uses as its source, so Ctr1 increments each time Ctr0 reaches terminal count (0 value).

Hi,
You can generate a pulse whenever the counter reaches Terminal Count (TC). You could try setting TC to zero, but I do not think it will work. You can always poll the count in software until it reaches zero.

Sure EVERY TiME you save you can click on details then name and then 3rd click to bring it up alphabetical ( which may be backwards Z-A) then save. And then the next time you save you can do again. Sorry, I somehow mis-posted this under Mail Filters the first time.

I'm in Yahoo Mail v8.0. Options > Messenger Options offers four sub-menus: General, Appearance, Privacy, and Other. None of them offer an option to turn it off...which is ''exactly'' what I would love to be able to do!
If I choose Options > Mail Options, I can likewise find nothing under it to disable Messenger. Earlier I could simply choose Offline and not be bothered by it. These days, though, FF changes versions faster than I change underwear. If I'm just missing it in either option menu, I'll surely apologize.
Any other thoughts?

Iphoto wants to connect to something every time i open?

hello my ilife 09 is asking to connect to something every time it is opened. it says something like i photo wants to connect to google.com tcp port 443 and it also sometimes says it wants to connect to apple.com for something similar?

As NU Apple says, the Google connection is for Maps in the Places feature.
It checks with Apple for available updates.

There is a bug in firefox that wants me to install programs every time I open firefox. How do I get it cleaned off. AVG Security did not find it.

Every time I start firefox there is another page in the backround that starts up and wants me to install software. I have updated to the newest firefox and latest AVG security software and scanned my whole computer and this bug is hid some where. I have scanned with firefox up and running and with it not running and did not find it. How can I get rid of it?

Semi - Smart Albums - all I want is to update iPhoto every time I add a new

after reading the iPhoto Help files descriptions of Standard and Smart - Im after Semi - Smart.
Standard: You can also create an album by dragging a folder of photos from the Finder into an empty part of iPhoto's Source list. iPhoto creates an album with the folder's name and imports all photos contained in the folder.

but what iPhoto 6 wont do is to simply capture the folder name as Ive named it in my source folder structure.
So Im after:
a. drag a folder ( for example, cars, gemstones, Klimit art) into the iPhoto source pane, it becomes a semi-smart folder in that it watches every new change I make to the source files on my computer. I add a file, iPhoto 6 adds it. I delete one, it deletes it. I mod it - you get the game here.
Do I need to upgrade iPhoto to handle this rudimentary task ? Seems like this action would be built in - am I missing something here ?

Who would want to have to use Automator or Applescript to make such a rudimentary function enabled within iPhoto ? I would guess 95% of Mac users never use those things. The whole point of Mac is to keep your life from having to descend into mundane technical details, thus freeing one for more time with life's higher level tasks. This should be basic from-day-one type behavior in any photo app.
Will chime back in on how difficult it get iPhoto to auto-update itself with every new pic I add/subtract to these watched folders.

The best way to manage your music when you have multiple iPods is to change the settings under "Options" so that you manually manage your music instead of it doing an automatic synch each time you connect. To add only the songs you want, highlight them and then "click and drag" them to your iPod. This way none of your daughter's music gets added and you're not in danger of deleting your playlist as well. It will show you how many songs you've added and you can then click on your iPod to verify. To delete her songs off your iPod now, click on the music tab under your iPod so show everything you have stored. Find those songs you want to delete, click on them to highlight then go up to the Edit window and click delete. This will erase them off your iPod but be careful when you highlight. I did that and then had to reload a cd on my boyfriend's, lol. hope this helps

Why does my Time Capsule want to do COMPLETE backups every time?

I'm still new to this Time Capsule, only had it about a week, and i'm still trying to figure it out. I have an old LaCie Hd that i was using for my Time Machine backups before, with 2 partitions, for 2 different computers both running different OS's....1 Snow Leopard, and 1 Lion.
Now i just got this Time Capsule, and i am under the impression that i don't need to partition anything? I can't anyway, as it is a .sparseimage file. But i should be able to back up all my macs to the same Time Capsule HD. But why is it when i want to back up my Snow Leopard OS and/or Lion OS - that it wants to do a complete backup of all 400+ GB of stuff? I don't change any settings, i just let it do its thing, but when i look at it in the Time Machine/System Preferences it is gathering everything up and taking forever.
Why does it want to keep backing up my entie computer and not just what's new after the first initial backup? Thanks

Correct. Time Machine will make a separate sparse bundle for each Mac.

The first backup of each Mac to the Time Capsule will be a full one (not just the changes since the last backup to the LaCie). And that's pretty slow over WIFI, so it's a good idea to do the first one via Ethernet.
Are you saying that both Macs' initial, full backups to the Time Capsule were completed, but subsequent ones are full backups again? If so, see #D7 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

Can I Control the Pulse offset using the Counter Out?

I have seen and understood an example to generate a pulse waveform "GenDigPulseTrain_Continuous".
However, I can not control the offset of the pulse train.
Although the function gives me "initial delay(The amount of time in seconds to wait before generating the first pulse)",
I can not shift "t_dead" cycle.

Counting pulses is much easier with the FP-QUAD-510 or FP-CTR-500, but can be done with the FP-AI-110. You can't directly count the pulses with a FP-AI-110, but you can do it in software. Bring in the data by doing a normal read. Then, using shift registers, if the previous voltage is less than .8V (low) and the current voltage is more than 2.5 (high), increase the pulse count. I have attached a program that shows what to do with the data once you bring it in. I took the data from an array outside the while loop, but your data will be brought in one point at a time inside the while loop. One thing to take note of, since Fieldpoint brings in data at 1 kS/s, this will only work with pulses slower than 500 Hz. The farther the duty cycle is away from 50% duty cycle, the slower the signal must be in order to catch the pulses correctly. Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!

Increase the freq of square pulses generated by the counter

I have program that outputs a finite train square pulses through a counter to run my step motor. I find that this program can genrate a sq pulse at a freq of 1080 Hz max. Is this a limitation of my program ( I have attached a copy of my program) or of my interface card (PCTIO-10, one of the older cards from NI) ? I use labview 5.0 on a windows NT , pentium MMX machine.
Is there anything that I could do in my program to generate pulses at a higher rate ? I havent specified any of the low level parameters for the pulse config.vi in the program - could setting these values help in generating higher frequencies?

you should be using the vi in the Search Exmaples->Data Acquisition->Counters->Finite Pulse Train.
this is how you modify this vi to generate pulses at varying frequency.
Set Device=1, Counter=1, Number of Pulses=100, Frequency Array=10, 100, 1000, 10000.
[Place an array container on the front panel. Drop the Frequency control into the array. On the block diagram place a
