PCUI - Pop up

Hi,
I would like to implement a confirmation pop up at tthe time of save. the user may
choose to proceed with the save or cancel save.
I have implemented in the following fashion but apparently it does not refresh the data on the PCUI page.
1. CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE - Raise Information Message. Set Flag not to save.
2. SAVE - Check if flag is set not to save, return error code. and do not continue with save.
3. GET_MESSAGES - Add the messages to rt_applog (Message is configured for navigation)
4. PROCESS_EVENT - Process for the pop up events 'Yes' and 'No'.
'Yes' event will call the save method after initializing do not save flag. 'No' with exit.
Please recommend correct way to implement a pop-up confirmation during save event.

This pop up is related to the WorkProtect mode,
It will be configured in the portal,
There will be 3 options available
if Workprotect mode is 0--- then navigate automatically
1-- pop up and then navigate
2- navigate with out saving.
i'm not sure about the values.
WorkProtect mode can be seen in the personalize link and this link is available if eu_role is assigned to the corresponding user.
Please contact portal admin team regarding this.

PCUI - Pop-up "save changes" appears every time we switch between the list

Hi Experts,
maybe you can help me with the following issue:
We work with PCUI EP 7.0 and CRM 5.0 and if we start a pcui application (Salesorder for example) and open the
enhanced search, put some data in the search criterias and then press search - the system gives us the "save changes"
pop-up?!? The same behaviour occurs if we switch between the list and the detailed view - and we haven't done any changes
Do you know this problem and do you have a solution for this?

Attachments tab in Quotation and Opportunity does not work

Hi CRM Guru,
When we try to attach a document in attachment tab by clicking ADD in quotation or opportunity in PCUI, pop-up to select a file to upload does not show up.
We expect to see a browse button in the attachments tab upon clicking ADD which we should be able to select documents to attach to a quotation or opportunity.
This is happening for all the users. Please let me know how can we solve this issue.

Eliminate Action Selection pop-up box from leads transaction PCUI page

I am trying to eliminate a popup from PCUI page and need help. Here is the scenario,
When the user tries to create LEAD transaction from PCUI page; the action selection popup box is coming up and the user needs to select the Create Lead from the popup box. How to I eliminate the pop-up box? Please help me on this one.

Reg: Pop up facility in PCUI

Hi,
I would like to know if we could have a Pop up facility in PCUI.
We are using PCUI 5.0 with CRM5.0 on EP.
The requirement is that the customer would like to have a reminder for a business activity type meeting that he has to attend and this should throw a pop up to him may be 2 hours before.
The same can also be used for throwing a Pop up if he has to wish some one on his birthday.

Thanks for the inputs and infact we are trying the same what you have suggested and also looking at creating a reminder as a task and set a date rule for it to remind 2 hours before and it would hit the task list area under the overview tab in EP.
Just help me also understand, we are going for lotus notes integration in Groupware and will we be able to get the reminder as pop up in Lotus notes when the synchonization of CRM task and activites are done with lotus notes. we are exploring that area also. Wanted your inputs / advises.

Thanks for the answer. I received a same answer from a friend Asad on this. But there seems to be a little change in the events. My client has a policy where they do not want to launch the opportunity in a new window.
In such a case, when a navigate to the Opportunity PCUI (ZCRM_OPPORT) from my custom PCUI (ZCRM_BA), then i lose the focus for ZCRM_BA. Hence in this case is there a possibility to restore the focus back to ZCRM_BA even when the navigation has now reached ZCRM_OPPORT. And I want this to happen when the BACK button on Portal is pressed.
Please advise.

User can not create the quotation in PCUI

Dear All,
User salesrep is not able to create the quotation in PCUI. When he select the quotation tab and click on create button one pop up appears but no quotation appears in it and he can not select it for creating the quotation.
I have checked the authorization objects for this user. Seems everything is ok from authorization point of view.
User has authorization to create, display and delete for quotation in object CRM_ORD_LP.
Please help me regarding this.

Calling another PCUI transaction on click of an event in PCUI

Hi All,
I have created a new event in my incident application. Now on click of this event it should open a new PCUI transaction "CRMM_SDB_SOL". and i have to pass some parameters from my application to this new application.
In detail the scenario is as follows.
In the products tab ...........for notes search we have have added a button which shows a pop up with all the problem codes. When we select the problem code and trigger an event it should open the new PCUI transaction and this problem code should be passed to this transaction."CRMM_SDB_SOL".
Can anyone pls help?

It can be achieved through Object links.Get the PCUI cookbook and read the Object links concept and look for examples on that.

Several clients in CRM PCUI. Problems reusing the same iView for ValueHelp

Hi, all:
We are implementing a new scenario with PCUI (based on Case Management) and using the client number 400.
The problem is that this is the second scenario because there is an already customized scenario using client 200 of the CRM server and the same EP.
These are the symptoms:
a) Launching the application from the SAP_GUI (like a CRM BSP Application) the main screen and the value helps (pop-up windows) are working correctly.
b) Launching the application from a newly create BSP iView, the main screen appears correctly; but the pop-up windows are not working. These are the issues i have seen:
1.- The system object with the system alias SAP_CRM points to client 200.
2.- The iView that is called when the value help is clicked has the value SAP_CRM as the system alias. And it is accessing client 200 even thought the URL parameter sap-client=400 is passed to it.
I tried a workaround copying standard iView located in:
pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.crm/com.sap.pct.crm.roles/com.sap.pct.crm.core.defaultservices/com.sap.pct.crm.core.valuehelp
to another location in Portal Content and changing the parameter system alias to SAP_CRM_400 (which is a correct system object pointing to client 400). But i don't know how to configure the search to use this iview instead of the standard one.
Can anyone help me with this workaround or with other solution to this problem?

Links not working correctly in PCUI for CRM

Hi All,
We are implementing mySAP CRM 4.0 through PCUI on Portal
EP6 SP14.
I have integrated the CRM Business Package 60.2 in Portal.
Proper User has been created in the backend and assigned Sales Manager Role both in the portal and in the CRM backend.
We are facing problem of links not working in the CRM Contents. When we click on the links in the CRM Portal Contents ( BSPs) we dont get the desired application opening.
When we click any links in the BSP's ( Activity Links in Opportunity Management BSP ) we get a blank page popped up.
I have the screen shots with me. Any one responding can get the screen shots from me.

Rohit,
Have you maintained configuration in (transaction CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C --> Navigation (URL Generation) --> Assign Object Method to Role)? Be sure that the role that you are using is present and ID Page/Service field correctly points to the pcd url for your portal.
When testing, it may be helpful to set parameter CRM_URL_BUFFER_OFF = X on the user profile (SU01) to turn off the url buffer. That way changes made above are immediate.

Options to create Accounts on PCUI

- Hi All,
    Need some help on CRM functionality at the SAP Portal.
    Under 'Accounts', as I press the Create button, a screen pops-up with three options to create: person, organization or group.
    In our scenario, we just want to create business partner as 'person' (contact person) so I want to make the other 02 options not available when creating new Accounts. What do I have to do to make it happen?

PCUI - CRM

In the marketing Planner application in the PCUI, when i click the export button, it saves by default in CSV format, without prompting for template to be selected.
Before prompting to save in CSV format, it pop-ups message "Install Microsoft Office 2003 or higher version"
later, I installed the required Microsoft office 2003 version, still the message is pop-up before saving in the CSV format by default.
Whether any extra component needs to be installed on my pc ?

Can you specify your enviroment in a little bit more detail? What exact version of CRM / Service Pack are you running? Have you applied the latest version of Marketing Planer form Service Marketplace?

PCUI HTML viewer Scroll bar

Hi,
We have a custom HTML viewer as one of the tab in PCUI application.It conntains a vertical scrollbar within it. That means while accessing the page we have two scroll bar one is browser scroll bar and another is within the tab.We don't want the scroll bar within the tab.
If we check standard html viewer tabs ( configuration tab in orders, Questionaire tab) inside scroll bar is not present.
How can we remove the additional scroll bar.

Sorry for bringing up this old topic.. but I did not find any other solution in the forums for my problem:
Currently we are using the PCUI HTML viewer to display a seperate BSP Application on a tab page. Everything works perfect, exccept the fact that I always get the user authentication pop-up when accessing the tab where the html viewer is embedded. Strange thing is, that we are using SSO. If the user logon fails I get an error page, but after that when selecting the tab again the bsp application is displayed correctly without authentication.
Has anyone experienced the same behaviour ? Did i miss something to implement in the BSP ?

Triggering Pop Up screen

Hi PCUI Experts,
In trial screen, at Item level when the user manually enters a product which is not existing in crm system... i have to trigger the pop screen for searching the products. This pop up is same as what user sees when he presses F4 button on product field.
is this possible for me to call that F4 screen when the user enters the item which is not there?
if so could any one guide me in this...Points will be granted.

1. Create a message for triggering the pop up.
2. Copy the same configuration what we have for the F4 screen in blueprint tables.
3. Call this screen in the scenario when required.
