Hi All,
In one of my webdynpor applications i need to render one PDF document but while i am trying to do the same I am getting this error .

Please ensure that the XML Form Module service is running.
I suppose, there is some service with the name "XML Form Module service " and its not running .
Can any one help me with the ways to run this service ?? or any other suggestion about why the error would be coming
thanks in advance

Smriti,
Did you upload a valid credential into the Visual admin? Also check that your ADSSAP SP level is the same as your J2EE Engine SP level.
You can restart the XML Form Module service as follows (if I am not wring) :-.
1.     Logon to Visual Admin
2.     On the Cluster tab, choose server -> Services -> XML Form Module
3.     Right click and stop the service.
4.     Once stopped, right click and start the service

    I created a workflow application to watermark PDF's, and now I'm trying to create a service that does the same thing. The workflow works as an application, but the service is getting an error that reads: "The action “Move Finder Items” encountered an error." The service is included below. Please advise how to fix this, thanks!

    Compress Images in PDF Documents (as jpeg)
    Move Finder Items (to desktop, replacing existing files)

    Hi,
    Can you test the connection settings from R/3. Run the program FP_PDF_TEST_00 in R/3, this should return ADS version information.
    Also test whether standard forms are working or not.

  • Open pdf documents - sporadic error

    Hi,
    I'm having a prob with downloading pdf files.
    The files are delivered by MS IIS 6.0 webserver and they are gettable by a static link within
    a html document. The files are created with a special tool (iffect) running on an ibm machine
    (i5). Files created with other tools do not cause the problem.
    The Adobe Reader Version is 7.0.
    Sometimes it will need several trials (clicks on the hyperlink) until the file is transferred correctly.
    The error message is different (problem wirh xref entry, error while building a semaphore etc.).
    Acrobat reader is always opening, but it will only show an error message and a blank document.
    Trying 3 to 7 times the file suddenly opened correctly.
    The error occurs using firefox or ie (regardless using activex plugin or opening a new application window).
    It will not happen if the readers "fast web-view" configuration is disabled. The files are < 1 Mbyte and I've
    checked that they are not corrupt (with acrobat preflight). The only difference I've found between those
    documents and others, is that they seem to be "encrypted" but they do not have a password protection.
    I've made a filechek and got the following information:
    - the document do not have tags, the reading direction is probably faulty
    - there is no language specified
    What could be wrong with those files?

    ... yes, we can
    As attachment you'll find a pdf file.

  • Document Creation error - "We're sorry. We can't open document name because we found a problem with its contents"

    Morning Friends,
    I have created a SharePoint 2010 "Site Workflow" that is designed to take information from a form and create a Word doc with the gathered information and store this Word doc in a document library.
    I am using Sharepoint 2013 with Office 2013
    I understand there are a lot of steps (19) outlined below and I can provide more information as needed but the bottom line is this, workflow successfully takes info from an initiation form, uses the info to create a Word doc. Places this Word doc in a library.
    When attempting to open / edit doc, receive error
    "We're sorry. We can't open <document name> because we found a problem with its contents"
    Details - No error detail available.
    Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Very high level view of what I have done:
    1 - Created content type called "Letters"
    2 - Added site columns " First Name" and "Last Name"
    3 -  Created and saved to my desktop a very basic Word document (Letter.docx) that says "Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX"
    4 - In the advanced settings of the "Letters" content type I uploaded this "Letter.docx" file as the new document template.
    5 - Created a new document library called "Letters"
    6 - In Library Settings - Advanced Settings, clicked "Yes" to enable the management of content types.
    7 - Then I clicked "Add from existing content types" and added the "Letters" content type
    8 - Back in the advanced settings of the "Letters" content type I selected "Edit Template" and replaced the first XXXX with the Quick Part "First Name" and the second XXXX with the Quick part "Last Name"
    9 - Created a new 2010 Site workflow called "Create a Letter"
    10 - To the workflow I added the action "Create List Item"
    11 - Configured the action to create Content Type ID "Letters" in the document library "Letter"
    12 - For the "Path and Name" I gave it a basic name of "Letter to"
    13 - The next step was to create the Initiation Form Parameters and added to form entries "First Name" and "Last Name"
    14 - I then linked the initiation form fields to the data source "Workflow Variables and Parameters" to their respective Field from Source parameters
    15 - Went back to the "Path and Name" and modified the basic name of "Letter to" to include the first and last name parameters.
    16 - Saved - published and ran the work flow.
    17 - As expected, Initiation Form prompts for First and Last Name. ("John Doe") Then click "start
    18 - Go to document library "Letters" and see a new Word document created titles "Letter to John Doe"
    19 - Go to open / edit the Word document and receive the following error
    thoughts? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    See this MS support article for SP2010 workflows and generating Word docs:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2889634/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0
    "This behavior is by design. The Create
    List Item action in the SharePoint
    2010 Workflow platform can't convert Word content type file templates to the correct .docx format."
    I've had success in using SP 2013, Word 2013 (saving a .docx as the template instead of .dotx for the document library content type), and an SP 2010 workflow using SP Designer 2013.

  • Sales document creation error.

    Hi Guru's,
    I am using a function module to create a sales order. But i'm getting an error which says: For object RV_BELEG , number range interval  does not exist.
    How to rectify this?
    Below is the code :
    CALL FUNCTION 'SD_SALES_DOCUMENT_SAVE'
             EXPORTING
                  SYNCHRON                   = SPACE
                  STATUS_BUFFER_REFRESH      = SPACE
                  REQUISITION_BUFFER_REFRESH = SPACE
                  REFERENCED_PM_ORDER        = CAUFVD_IMP-AUFNR
             IMPORTING
                  EVBAK                      = VBAK_LOC.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Das

    Number range objects are maintained in transaction SNUM, but before you rush off to that transaction you should check what happens in the standard Sales Order create - i.e. do you get the same message in VA01?  It could be you have wrong values in your SD_SALES_DOCUMENT_SAVE setup.

  • Where can i find full tutorials about creation of pdf document?

    Please any body tell me that i need to learn about pdf document creation and editing.

    Hi flbdpublisher,
    Did you purchase a subscription to Acrobat Pro? (It sounds that way if you're paying monthly.) If so, you just need to sign in to your account at https://www.cloud.acrobat.com and click Acrobat at the far right. Click Download Now to download and install Acrobat--that's where you will find the tools that you are looking for.
    Please let us know if you need additional help.

  • Error Occurs When Opening PDF Documents Over Home Netrwork

    Installation:  XP/SP3; Adobe CS2 Premium (Acrobat Professional 7.1.0); Wireless Home Network with Cisco Router; shared My Documents folder stored on the Desktop PC.
    Problem:  PDF documents created locally with Adobe Acrobat and stored in the My Documents folder on the Desktop PC can not be opened by my laptop PC when they are accessed over the home network.  The error message received from Adobe Acrobat is “There was an error opening this document.  Access denied.”  There is no error number.  Click OK is the only option.  However, the same PDF documents can be successfully accessed and opened using the Desktop PC.
    PDF documents stored in the shared My Documents folder on the PC that have NOT been created locally using Adobe Acrobat can be successfully opened over the home network and by the Desktop PC.  All other non-PDF files can be successfully access and opened over the home network.
    Is there some setting within the Adobe installation that is blocking access to locally created PDF files over my home network?

    John - in viewing Properties the key difference is under the PDF Tab.  The
    PDF documents that can't be accessed over my home network do not have any
    entry for the application that created the document, and the PDF Producer
    section is also blank.  I also discovered a PDF document created on my
    laptop and stored on my Desktop can be successfully accessed by the laptop
    over my home network as well as the Desktop PC, and the PDF Tab has the
    correct information.  It would appear there is incorrect option or corrupted
    application with the Adobe software on my Desktop.
    Can you provide some additional guidance on how best to provide you all the
    creation options in Acrobat?
    Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Stuffit is the only app I know of which can decompress its own format. Your Windows clients must use the free Expander to open them. Otherwise, use OS X's built in zip compression and they'll be able to open the files without the need of third party software. Right click on any item, or group of items and choose, "Compress xxx Items" (how it will read if more than one item is chosen).

  • Error while exporting to PDF document in OBIEE 11g

    Hi
    In OBIEE 11g we are facing an issue regarding exporting a few reports to pdf. It is resulting in following error: "Error generating PDF document".
    The reports are placed on a dashboard which has a prompt too. However, when we remove the prompts, the export is working fine.
    We will really appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Looks like this is a sort of known bug with PDF creator in 11g. Try implementing the below solution:
    To configure the Javahost service, edit the Javahost service configuration parameters in the
    instanceconfig.xml file. The parameters are
    identified by their relative path starting from the /WebConfig/ServerInstance node
    For example:
    <JavaHost>
    <PDF>
    <InputStreamLimitInKB>50000</InputStreamLimitInKB>
    </PDF>
    </JavaHost>
    After changes restart Siebel Analytics Java Host and Siebel Analytics Web services
    If it doesn't work try to create same report in xml publisher as presentations services in obiee has limited capacities in printing out reports.
    Refer to this thread for related useful information: Error in creating a PDF
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,

    The documents I’m trying to read are already saved on my computer, under various different headings, I know that we have a server, so I only assume these documents are saved on here, as I said before I’m not good with all this techno stuff. I do my work each week ( on a payroll system) and save the documents for each company, they automatically go to the correct place. I never request for them to be saved in a certain place ( well not that I’m aware of) . I then on occasions need to open up this information, it is then that I can’t read or open the documents. We do have a tech help, but they are off sick until the 5th Jan, hence me trying to work out if I can fix this problem through this help site. Its ADOBE Reader that I’m trying to use.

    Hi sampa1,
    Can you please let us know the error message you are getting while converting PDF to Word. Also, please let us know the steps you are following.

  • Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document.  I have CS3

    Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document.  I have CS3 Web Premium with Acrobat Professional 8.  I use it fine on my old computer with Windows XP.  I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7.  I installed all my Adobe programs, and I think they are working.  When I look at Adobe PDF in the device section of the Control Panel it looks okay.  But when I try to print a Word, Photoshop, or HTML page in PDF, nothing happens.  I have tried printing both as File>print and using the PDF tab on the top menu bar.  I look at the device in the control panel and it has the yellow error warning symbol and suggests trying to troubleshoot.  I look at the document list and it says status "error".  When I try troubleshooting Windows suggests doing some Home Sharing and also suggests canceling the document I'm trying to print.  I tried re-installing just Acrobat 8 from CS3 (and have to use Photoshop CS4 disk for shared documents I guess).  I ran into a can't locate adobepdf_dll file, so did a web search on this issue and found a suggestion that I find and use the adobepdf_dll_64 file and may have to (I did have to) remove the "_64" for it to work.  I think I successfully reinstalled using that dll file- no errors came up anyway.  But still when I try printing/converting a photoshop, webpage, or word document into pdf, the pdf device in control panel still gives the error status on the document and gives the same troubleshooting advice.  Help?

    I just compared the properties between the two computers.  On the old computer it has the port as "My Documents/*.pdf".  On my new computer it lists the port as "LPT1".  I tried changing the port to "Print as File", but when I try printing a photoshop picture as pdf, I get a "Access Denied".  I then tried to create a new port on the device control panel.  I tried to create a local port "My Documents/*.pdf" port but was denied.  I ten tried to create a new port type and control panel asked for an INF file.  I wonder if this is where my problem lies.  Thoughts?

  • Error - "not a valid pdf document. it cannot be opened"

    I am getting this error message when opening PSE. It says "This is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document.  It cannot be opened."  Needing help asap!  Thanks!

    Quit PSE. Then go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements < version number > Paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements < version number > Settings
    In 10.7 and higher that library is hidden.  To see it, option click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account. Also in 10.7 and up, while you're in there go to the saved application states folder and delete any for PSE.
    Repair permissions and try again.
