PDF form table

Hello,
I have a PDF-based form and I have the following problem.
I need to print a footer table on the last page.
I am controlling the presence of the table thru formcalc.
The problem is that the table lines are only shown if the table is on the first page. Otherwise it does not show any lines. Can anyone help me on this?
Thank you,
Nuno Silva

Hello
I am controlling the presence of the table thru formcalc. ===> please share your code, how can you get help on this if you have a code which doesn´t work and the people around can´t see it:))
The problem is that the table lines are only shown if the table is on the first page. Otherwise it does not show any lines. ====> maybe you can describe the structure of your form, because this doesn´t help much.
In fact I don´t get the problem: is that with table presence at all? presence on the right page? lines presence? lines data?
I guess your problem is not a big issue, but you didn´t provide enough details, thats why you didn´t get any replies.
Otto
p.s.: how many master pages do you have? or how do you control the forms placing on pages on the tab paging?

  • How to retrieve PDF form table's data in workflow?

    I have employee table in PDF form?How I retrieve the data in workflow using XSD mapping?

    You need to use either the processFormSubmission operation of the LiveCycle Forms service or the exportData operation of the Data Integration service to get the xml out of the PDF.
    Then you can use xPath to get to the appropriate node in the xml.

  • PDF form from Excel spreadsheet/table

    I am developing a process where folks enter data (all text) to a central spreadsheet, and someone uses Acrobat X to generate a form. The form needs checkboxes (one per table row), and a digital signature above the table. I'm running into a couple of issues:
    1) I am trying to automate the creation of checkboxes, so that whoever is generating the final PDF form does not need to add a checkbox for each row. I noticed that in Excel, in Develop mode, one can add checkboxes, and on my first try, the PDF form creator seemed to translate those automatically into PDF form checkboxes so that no extra manual step was needed. In my last few tries, the conversion no longer auto-converts checkboxes. Any tips on this?
    2) I also noticed that whereever there is blank space, the form creator inserts a text field. Even for table cells that have text in them, if there's any white space, presto, here comes a text field inserted into that very cell, usually named after the text already in the cell. Is there any way to avoid this?

    Which version of Acrobat do you have? If X, then there should be an option
    in your Excel to Mail Merge the spreadsheet, which is basically what you
    describe. However, I'm not sure if it can also automatically email the
    files to the recipients.
    I have developed a script that can do the merge, *and *automatically email
    the file to each person. Have a look here for more info:

  • Can the responses submitted from a pdf form be viewable in a table format in SharePoint?

    I created a pdf form with Acrobat X. My plan it to upload the form to SharePoint and allow users to use this form to submit "help desk" type issues. However, I have a virtual team that need to view the responses in a table format so they can filter and sort the growing list of responses. Acrobat seems to only allow me to save the "response" file on my own desktop, not SharePoint. Is there a way for the responses to be stored and viewed in a SharePoint workspace so that members of the virtual team can view and sort the users' responses in a table format?

    Yeah that's the best bet, though if you don't want to make a bunch of fields, you can also just save it with the Typewriter tool enabled in Acrobat (Tools > Typewriter > Enable Typewriter Tool in Adobe Reader).  Then, the person viewing it will get a little typewriter tool that they can use.  I think they have to have version 9 of Adobe Reader.
    But it looks the best to add in all the fields individually.
    Hope that helps,

  • Adobe PDF Form: Include text in table

    Hi,
    Im kinda new to Adobe Forms, and this may seem like a very basic question.
    I have copied a standard SAP VAT invoice adobe form and Im making changes to it.
    I have added an "include text" (which has multiple lines) to an already existing table with multiple columns.
    The problem is that while the include text prints correctly when it expands, the entire table does not expand along with it.
    So when the include text goes into many lines, it exceeds the table boundary and overwrites other areas of the form.
    The table layout is like this .
    Column1                Column2 Column3 Column4 Column5 Column6
    Inc text                    50$        1.00       PAID       DELIV
    Many Lines       -
    Line3
    Line4
    Line5
    Is there any grouping or somehting that i have to do?
    Thanks,
    John

    Basically, you need to create a pdf form.
    Add a text field to your form.
    There you can choose which font your want the text to appear in.
    The trick is, when you export from InDesign, in the "Advanced Tab" — set "Subset fonts when percentage…" to 0%, so the whole font embeds.'
    I believe there's an option in Acrobat to embed the font as well, but I'm not recalling what it it.
    But that will ensure the font appears correctly.

  • Table fields to match pdf form

    I found this on my formscentral help file.
    Note: Some types of form fields aren’t supported when you import a PDF form. For example, text fields with formatting applied, such as numeric or percentage fields, are converted to plain text fields. And, signature fields aren’t converted, as Adobe FormsCentral doesn’t support this type of field.
    For more information, see Issues encountered while importing an existing PDF form.
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2533
    What I have experienced.
    Formscentral does not allow you to format the table in their views when you use a pdf as the form, only if you use the online form.
    I found that when out when I got 6 decimal points when multiplying tax, which was .04166. On the pdf it defaults to 2 decimals.
    Another thing I noticed. My pdf form date field was set to MM/dd/YY. When I just put in 5/06 in that field, on the pdf form it auto corrected it to 05/06/13. When that pdf form was submitted to formscentral, that field showed 5/06. So it is pulling exactly what you input into the pdf form regardless of how the pdf form corrects your mistakes.
    My real question is if Formscentral Is working to allow you to set the table format to work with pdf's too?
    If not are you working to add calculated fields to the online form?
    Not complaining just wanting. The product is awsome as is but this would take it a step further.

    Thanks for your well articulated observations on our product. With regard to your questions about new funcitonality I can only suggest that you find the assocciated features on our ideas list and vote for them. http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral?view=idea#/?ideaView=5513&numResults=30&sta geFilter=-1&stageID=-1&start=0 We use this list to help guide future development work.

  • RFC returning PDF form in Binary table

    Hello,
    In our earlier application we were using a RFC to return PDF form as a table of binary fields and then these fields were concatenated and .pdf extension addded at the end. This will then display correctly in browser as a pdf form. Typically, this returns about 30000+ lines of binary for one form.
    Now we are migrating this application to Portal and I'm trying to display all this information through Adobe Interactive form. We do not currently have any other RFC to return all data that is part of the existing PDF document returned by current RFC. Getting all that data through one RFC is a tedious and time consuming task that we want to avoid. Is there a way to use the binary table returned by existing application and convert it to a pdf form? I was thinking of using the 'pdfsource' property of Interactive form - but am not sure about the possibilities.
    Can anyone help with some pointers?
    Thanks,
    Vishwas.

    I'm using following code to concatenate the binary string and then to display the PDF file.
    Concatenation was being done in earlier application and there is no code available for reference. I've tried following code, it opens the Adobe PDF viewer but it always shows error "File does not start with %PDF-". Please let me know if the code below is correct or is there something I need to do differently.
      public void wdDoInit()
        //@@begin wdDoInit()
    IWDMessageManager manager = wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
    //Populate data for RFC
    wdContext.currentZ_Sd_Get_Output_Pdf_Verify_InputElement().setKappl("V1");
    wdContext.currentZ_Sd_Get_Output_Pdf_Verify_InputElement().setKschl("ZA00");
    wdContext.currentZ_Sd_Get_Output_Pdf_Verify_InputElement().setKunag("0001000021");
    wdContext.currentZ_Sd_Get_Output_Pdf_Verify_InputElement().setKunwe("0001000023");
    wdContext.currentZ_Sd_Get_Output_Pdf_Verify_InputElement().setVbeln("0000018261");
    //Call RFC
    wdThis.wdGetPDF_from_Binary_compController().executeZ_Sd_Get_Output_Pdf_Verify_Input();
      int num = wdContext.nodePdf4().size();
    //Initial string
      String s = "";
    for(int n=0;n<num;n){
    //Concatenate binary data in string with Radix 2
    BigInteger bi = new BigInteger(wdContext.nodePdf4().getPdf4ElementAt(n).getData());
    s= bi.toString(2);+
       manager.reportSuccess(s);
    // Display pdf
        IWDResource resource = WDResourceFactory.createCachedResource(s.getBytes(), "file.pdf", WDWebResourceType.PDF);
        IWDWindow window = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createNonModalExternalWindow(resource.getUrl(0),"file.pdf");
        window.show();
       //@@end
    It opens the Adobe PDF viewer but gives error "file does not start with %PDF-".
    What is it that I'm not doing correctly here?
    Thanks,
    Vishwas.
    The data being returned from RFC is in RAW format. Is it same as Binary?

  • TABLE DATA in PDF FORM  Through ABAP WEBDYNPRO

    Hi Friends,
    I have to Populate  SAP TABLE like MARA,VBRK table into PDF form throught ABAP Webdynpro.
    Can you send STEP by STEP Example Doc.
    Thanks In Advance.
    Gautam.

    Hi,
    To display the Table in the Adobe Form you must create a WebDynpro Context.
    In WebDynpro Context, in the main node create another node like A1 with cardinality 0..n and in this node create attributes FIELD1 and FIELD2 and so on.
    Now goto method and in that method using code wizard read the node A1.
    And use the below code snippet sample in your program, i.e. code this under respective method of the webdynpro.
    *Declare the TYPES
    TYPES : BEGIN OF TY_TABLE,
    FIELD1 TYPE SOMETYPE,
    FIELD2 TYPE SOMETYPE,
    END OF TY_TABLE.
    *Define Internal Table and work area.
    DATA : IT_TABLE TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF TY_TABLE INITIAL SIZE 0.
    SELECT FIELD1 FIELD2 FROM TABLENAME INTO TABLE IT_TABLE.
    lr_node_info->bind_table( IT_TABLE ).
    And now goto Layout and give the TemplateSource and after that it asks for the interface name fill on that and select the relevant context. Now the LiveCycle Designer opens. There goto DataView pallette, there you can see the context of the webdynpro, now you simply drag and drop that table, a table is being created in the Layout Designer.

  • "Table in Table" in PDF Form

    Hi all,
    in my webdynpro view's content is two-level structure. Under top node is another non-singleton node and within this node another non-singleton node. I would like to display such structured information in PDF Form. I have created Subform (flow content, table) and in this subform another subform (flow content, table row) so I can display information on 1st level. But I have no idea how to display 2nd level. I have tried to create subform in table row subform but I cannot set properties of this subform to flow content and table.
    Can somebode help me with this issue?
    Thanks,
    Zdenek

    Hi Zdenek,
    You make your main subform as Flow Content.
    Say you have OrderDataNode and OrderItemNode.
    Then you create a subform with for Order Data and create the elements. One of the element in this will be OrderItem Subform.
    Now define the OrderItem Subform as Flow Content, Table and Table Row.
    Make the OrderData Subform as Position Content and Check the box for "Repeat subform for Each Data Item".
    This should work as you want.
    Let me know if you have any problems.
    Regards,
    Shubham

  • Fill pdf form from database table

    I am working on small application for my employer. We have record fo all new employee in table and want to fill PDF (I-9) from database using APEX application.
    Below PDF form, we want to fill from database table.
    http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf
    I am not sure how to take from APEX. Any ideas?
    I know one way to export from database table and import to PDF form.
    Is there any other way?
    Thanks

    If I understand you correctly then I need to first export the xml file using Data-> Load sample XML data and later create template in template.rtf and upload data using APEX in template. In this case I need to create rtf template exactly similar to http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf.
    I am not sure is there any way to to used existing pdf template or save pdf template to rtf template. Later that template can be used to populate data using APEX.

  • PDF Forms: How to make an entry duplicate itself to fill a table?

    Hello,
    I am making price tags for a set of commodities. I know how to make pdf forms and want to use this. However, I want to achieve this: If I enter the name of commodity, price and other details once in a cell, it must automatically fill out the whole table with the same info so that I don't need to manually do the copy pasing.
    Word, Excel, etc change the formatting but PDF won't. Thats the reason I want to create a table, and each cell in the table will be a price tag. So, I take a print out of the page and can easily have the commodity tags ready for each commodity.
    Is this possible in Acrobat Professional? Like I said before, I have created pdf forms but this particular automatic duplicating of the entered data is something I dunno how to get. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vikram

    Hello George,
    God bless you! You've made my work a lot easier! As soon as I changed the name of the fields to be the same, the data automatically duplicates itself!
    Could you kindly guide me as to how I ensure that a particular row, column or all cells in a table have the same field name without actually having to click on each of them and rename the field? Is there some setting or menu to make it an easier/ automatic process after once getting an input from the user?
    Thanks a ton again. If I need to post this question as a new one, I'm ready to do it too. Please do let me know.
    Regards,
    V

  • How to add Table element in PDF form in Webdynpro

    Hello Everybody,
    I am developing one application in Webdynpro using PDF form in it. I wantable control in PDF form. I read somewhere that we can add table control in PDF form. But i didnt find how to add the same. So if anybody knows then please help me.
    Thanx in advance...
    Bhavik

    Hi All,
    Please follow these steps to create tables in adobe interactive forms.
    Lets us take this example. We want to display employee information. The following fields are the one that we are going to display:
    1. employeenumber
    2. First name
    3. last name.
    First insert a "interactive form UI element" in the view. Create a value node and bind it to the data source of the UI element.
    Create a subnode called "Employee".
    Create 3 value attributes to display the 3 values.
    Open the form designer. Insert a subform. change its type to "flow content"(default is position content) and in the next drop down, choose the value as type "table".
    insert one more subform into this subform. change its type to "flow content" and from the dropdown, choose the value as "table row" and in the tab "binding", click the checkbox "min" and have its value as 1.
    now drag the elements from the data hierarchy into the second subform.
    save the form in the designer.
    go to the view implementation and populate the nodes with the value. if this is within a loop, the content of the second subform is repeated giving the user a "table".
    I hope the steps are clear.
    Regards,
    Chander

  • Submitting completed PDF forms by email rather than responses in a table

    Can I set up my PDF form with a submit button that will email the completed form to me - I don't want to see the responses collated in a table as I need to file each completed form electronically per client?

    Yes, but it would not have anything to do with FormsCentral. The simplest way to do this is to use Acrobat to add a button that has a "Submit a form" action for the Mouse Up event. The URL should be a mailto type URL and you should select "PDF  The Complete document" as the Export Format:
    If it needs to work with Reader prior to version 11 and/or includes digital signatures, you will have to Reader-enable the document with Acrobat. Exactly how you do that depends on which version you have:
    Acrobat 9: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
    Acrobat 10: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
    Acrobat 11: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in & save)
    Also, realize that submitting by email is not all that reliable. It simply won't work for many people as they don't have a desktop email client properly configured. There are also Acrobat licensing restrictions that come into play when you Reader-enable a document with Acrobat and make the form available to more than 500 recipients, as you do when posting to a web site. Submitting the form to a web server, as is done with FormsCentral, avoids these issues. If you need a filled-in form with FormsCentral, you can alsways export the form data and use various methods to populate a blank form. If you want to pursue this approach, post in the Acrobat Forms forum here.
