PDF Forms: How to make an entry duplicate itself to fill a table?

Hello,
I am making price tags for a set of commodities. I know how to make pdf forms and want to use this. However, I want to achieve this: If I enter the name of commodity, price and other details once in a cell, it must automatically fill out the whole table with the same info so that I don't need to manually do the copy pasing.
Word, Excel, etc change the formatting but PDF won't. Thats the reason I want to create a table, and each cell in the table will be a price tag. So, I take a print out of the page and can easily have the commodity tags ready for each commodity.
Is this possible in Acrobat Professional? Like I said before, I have created pdf forms but this particular automatic duplicating of the entered data is something I dunno how to get. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

God bless you! You've made my work a lot easier! As soon as I changed the name of the fields to be the same, the data automatically duplicates itself!
Could you kindly guide me as to how I ensure that a particular row, column or all cells in a table have the same field name without actually having to click on each of them and rename the field? Is there some setting or menu to make it an easier/ automatic process after once getting an input from the user?

    1. Yes , you have to maintain target business system for the EACH BS in PROD system.
    2. Normally we do have 2 different sld one is explictly for production system. another one is for dev and QA system. Once u done creating all the systems needed for the project. we will copy all business from the dev server to production server. So production server will have all BS from Dev and  BS of production server.
    3. i am not sure about this. i dont have particular docuemnts . normally we assign target business system in transport tab. and in Intergration Directory we will export the business system from DEV and and import the business system in production system.

  • How to make the entry unique

    Hi guys,
    I have a table of people with the following fields:
    firstName
    lastName
    DOB
    email
    address
    group
    as you can see, nothing makes an entry unique. so say I would like to get some info about John Smith, I might found more than one entry for John Smith.
    Question: any idea how to make an entry unique? hashing???
    I'm using mySQL.

    You need to assign a primary key to your table ( a field that can't be reproduced). You can add a social security field and make it your primary key.
    Your mysql line might look like this (for a table with 2 fields):
    mysql> CREATE TABLE Info( Name varchar(64),
                                                         SSN varchar(64) primary key);

    As explained by Uwe, when we change a field ( say check box ) in ALV grid, the view (frontend) changes (showing the tick mark) but the changed data ( normally ) is not transfered to the backend.
    We can initiate this data transfer by just registering the cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_evt_modified  edit event
      go_grid->set_table_for_first_display( CHANGING  it_fieldcatalog      = pt_fieldcat
                                                      it_outtab            = pt_outtab ).
      go_grid->set_ready_for_input( 1 ).
      go_grid->register_edit_event( EXPORTING i_event_id = cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_evt_modified ). " This does the trick
    Now as soon as we check a checkbox, the data_changed event is triggered.
    This initiates data transfer to the backend and the checkbox field in internal table is updated.
    check the below code for example.

    I have a customer who has a possible issue with the sticky inactivity timeout on the CSS. At the moment we are using no timeout, just relying on the CSS to purge the entries.
    However, is it possible to see how long the longest entry has been in the sticky table. I can see the 'elapsed time' with the 'show sticky' command but this only shows 100 entries per time and not in time order ?

    Michael,
    You can use the command "show sticky-table" with L3 or L4 options, depending on what you have configured, then add ip addressing to the command, to focus down to where the oldest sticky entries are likely to be, but theres no other way. If your problem is having too many entries, configure a sticky timeout, as the default of 0 will keep then forever, or until overwritten due to the table being full. If the problem is sticky entries timing out too early, you can use the timeout parameter to increase their life, but the sticky table is limited to 32k entries.

Now my requirement is, whenever record having intial values( suppose one record having initial values among ten) except key field , we need to deactive that particular  record , now table control  should contain ten records , but nine records are in editable state and one record in non editable state .

    hi there...
    select the column that u want to convert to non editable mode in the screen layout. then double click on it. go to the attributes tab and uncheck the input chk box. the check box will become disabled for input. u can do this for any number of columns.
    if u want to do it dyanamically, loop at screen. check for the screen element's name. when itmatches the column u want to disable, simply set the input value as 0.
    dont forget to modify sscreen after setting the attribute values.

  • FormsCentral PDF Form- How to View Multi-line Fields

    I have a FormsCentral PDF form, which allows users to fill out the form and save as a PDF. However, after receiving the completed forms, I am unable to see all the text in the multi-line field boxes without opening them and scrolling down. Since I will be sharing several of these competed forms with a review panel, please let me know:
    1) How to display the entire content of the multi-line field boxes rather than having the reader scroll down, then
    2)  How to save the completed forms so that its read-only when I send it to the review panel

    Is there a reason you don't use FormsCentral to collect the responses?  You could sign up for a 1-month subscription unless you have security or other reasons not to collect with FormsCentral, and then you'd be able to collect your responses and download each one as a PDF form individually and that form would be locked and have expanded text fields.  You could stop automatic renewal and you would still have access to the form and responses in your Free level account (but could not collect more than 50 responses, if you already have greater than 50 those would remain).

    Got SHD0 transaction and create screen variant for that transaction there you can disable that field.
    Create Transaction variant for that transaction and assign previously created screen variant to this transaction varient. actiavte.

    Hello Experts,
    Is there a way in CBIH82 to set the "Accident details" long text field (under involved tab) in order that older entries cannot be modified?
    What I'd like would be like in maintenance notifications. No Changes to Existing Long Text.
    When someone add characters to the long text field, system automatically add a log line (a timestamp containing user + date + hour) before text and make the text unchangeable by anyone after saving. However, the long text can be supplemented, the older entries would be greyed out.
    Is there a key in IMG or any other way to make the system behave that way? I want to prevent people erasing previous text enterred in that field.

    This seems to be a genuine requirement, and even more when it can be seen available in the case of maintainance notifications. But, unfortunately this functionality is not available for "Accident details" long text.
    The most you may do as an alternative is to utilize "Documents" functionality. The documents uploaded in this tab has inherent SAP DMS benefits, whereby you can track changes made to a particular DIR (administrative details). You may also make the documents password-protected for unintended access, However, you can not make older entries grayed out obviously.

    any ways what you want can be achieved from incomplition log. if you add it from there it would ask you to fill it.
    You can add this from -->
    SPRO--> Sales and distribution > Basic functions> log of incomplete items-->Define incompleteness procedure > select Sales Header and open proecdures> Select Sales order and open Fields and add VBAK-VKBUR and VBAK-VKGRP
    It will definately help.

    One way would be to adjust SM30 to a mandatory field (in SE11 of course), but this field sounds like you can assign T001W as a check table. In the foreign key definition, you can give a error message, which is called in case of wrong entries in screens -> there is no empty entry in T001W, you can only maintain valid values and got a value list.
