PDF Upload using Upload UI in WD ABAP take infinite time

Hi experts ,
I am trying to upload a PDF file in my WD ABAP Application. I have created a WD View like this .
I have created a File upload UI and an Interactive Form .
My Context structure looks like this .
CONTEXT
-> PDF_DATASOURCE
-> NAME
-> PDFSOURCE ( Type XSTRING )
-> FILECONENT ( Type XSTRING )
I have bound pdf_datasource and pdfsource to my interactive form and file content to file upload UI.
When I upload any file and then transfer the data from filecontent to pdfcontent on action of a button Upload PDF.
data content type xstring.
wd_context->get_attribute( exporting name = 'FILECONTENT' importing value = content ).
wd_context->set_attribute( name = 'PDFSOURCE' value = content ).
When This Action is executed it page take infinite time to transfer the content .
Please let me if I am missing any thing to transfer the uploaded file content to PDF content and show the form in the view .

I need a program to upload a file [Excel file] using upload button and
want to process the excel sheet and store the data in database.
I know that we can upload using Html - file type.
but I dont know how to retrieve that uploaded file to process it?
I mean , Is there any function like requset.getParameter() to get the uploaded file?

i have a big problem!
i made integration between the PCM and sharepoint 2010 and make migration from the file system to sharepoint.
the sharepoint database reach 355GB
after that unfortunately, when i try to open large pdf attachment through PCM(Primavera Contract Managmnet) it take much time then whan was opened from the file server.
i made everthing upgrde the RAM and processor but the problem still exists.
please help!

we start store attachment on 2007. all of these files are migrated to sharepoint 2010 now on the staging enviroment.
but, we faced the performance issue as mentioned above.
the large files (begin 5MB) take a lot of time to open through the PCM

I've a Macally external fire/usb enclosure that powers up and mounts directly on to my PB Aluminum 1.67 laptop but the USB portion doesn't draw power.
Do you mean it mounts and works OK when connected via FireWire, but not when connected via USB? If so, that's unsurprising. I would be surprised to hear that it doesn't mount when you use the FireWire connnection, because most drives are able to get enough power from that port.
Does MacAlly not offer a cable for your drive that allows it to draw power from both your USB ports? Some manufacturers of external drives or enclosures do offer such a cable, and it's well worth buying because it's much smaller and more portable than an AC adapter. Have a look at this one from Western Digital — it might fill the bill for you.

Upload PDF to DMS using FTP server in WD abap

I want to upload PDF file from presentation server to DMS. As I dont want application server in this regards , so am using FTP server instead. But the problem am facing is in WD abap the filepath is in XSTRING format. So how to upload Xstring pdf file in FTP server and how can i pull the same data to DMS server.
My problem is just how to upload PDF in FTP server using web dynpro abap. The FM 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2' will upload the same PDF file from FTP to DMS server.

Why can't I create Fillable PDF Forms using Adobe Acrobat X Pro and upload to Dreamweaver?

I can create fillable PDF Forms using Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I can email them to someone using Adobe Reader (free) and they can fill them, save and email to me. But when I upload the form to Dreamweaver CS5, the form is not fillable. And yes, I saved it as a Reader Extended PDF-Enable Additional Features.

I see no reason for this form to fail in Reader. Some questions for you.
1. On the system with Adobe Reader, what is the system and the version of Adobe Reader?
2. Are you viewing the PDF in a browser on the system with Reader, or in an Adobe Reader window?
3. If it's a browser
(a) what is the browser
(b) if you download the file instead, and open directly in Reader, what happens?

ABAP Dump while using "Upload from clipboard"

Hi,
We are facing ABAP dump when using "upload from clipboard" funciton without any data on the clipboard.
"Upload data" is working fine if some data exists on the clipboard. If in case of no data on the clipboard, it is leading to an ABAP dump.
Appreciate if anyone could point some OSS note or any solution if you've already faced this issue.
This is happening in our BW system with SAP_BASIS "SAPKB62018" and SAP_ABA "SAPKA62018".
Same thing happens in our BW test systems which are upgraded to the latest support pack.

When you say 'We are facing ABAP dump when using "upload from clipboard" funciton without any data on the clipboard.', are you using this in a custom program and are you running your custom program in the background?
From the error you mentioned, to me it looks like you had a control error and controls are for foreground, online process and not suitable for background processing. Same argument holds good for most of the enjoy SAP transactions when you try to do BDC, they will give you a similar error if you hit the piece of code where controls are used.
Controls are created on the desktop of the user and in background this is not possible.
Please let me know if this is the reason.

I am unable to upload a pdf file to a website, although the file does upload using IE or Chrome

I receive an error message “Error - File type must be pdf.” when I try to upload a file that definitely is type pdf. I am authorized to upload to the site. Html files do upload correctly. Using IE8 my pdf files upload correctly, Also files can be uploaded using the Chrome browser. Problem exists no matter how pdf file is created - scanned, published from word or wordperfect, or modified in Adobe Acrobat. File size is fairly small, less than 50KB.

There is absolutely no way to stop any file you put on the internet from being downloaded. That's how the internet works.
Digital Rights Management can control who can OPEN a copy of a file and when. If you are a big company with 5-6 figure budget, this can be interesting.

First you need to install a means of printing to pdf from word. I like cutepdf writer ( http://cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp ). Once installed you will print the doc in word and under the printer selection you choose pdf.
Once you have the file you put it in your local site folders and upload it using Dreamweaver. Be sure to link to it from a page so users can get to it and I would recommend giving the link a target of _black so it will open in a new window (see the properties inspector in DW).

Problem is not with the file format nor Upload element.
problem is with conversion function module, still now for conversion of xcel data to string format we dont have perfect function module.

That's a bug with xcel conversion As of now I dont find any fm which converts xcel data to string without any problem.

JSP that converts office extensions to pdf and then upload them

Im trying to convert office extensions ( .xls, .ppt, etc) to pdf and then upload the resulting file to a server .

and as for the conversion im using a solution which uses OpenOffice's lib to do the conversion.I'm going to post the codes of my JSP and my HTML ( which just contains the form to get the file to be converted and uploaded).
observation: the point which is giving me headaches is how to get the file sent by my form, convert it into a File object, use my conversion tool and then deliver it to my upload tool so it can be stored.... i cant seem to get the File object from the request object ( tried getattribute and it returns null....) .
observation':I do know about and how to use MVC but my boss asked me to make this work with just one JSP or a JSP and a HTML.

I was thinking Microsoft... which has allowed multi-page eps files for years. But you're correct, this is normally an unsupported .eps format.
I solved the problem over the weekend by doing the following:
1) I removed the suspect OTF font family but despite doing so, the folder still had two 'corrupted' but unused copies of an italic font. They refused to remove so I had to boot into Win7 SAFE mode to remove.
2) After complete removal of the OTF font family. I reinstalled the OTF font *BUT* only from a different repository (oddly, this other OTF font set is slightly larger per font).
3) Once installed, I tested with Flare, published and uploaded to Crocodoc SUCCESSFULLY. Yeah!
I don't have anymore time to test but the questions remain, such as, was it one or more of the following issues:
a) Flare has a problem handling some OTF fonts or cannot error correct (the way other programs do) for marginal fonts or font errors?
b) Was it the two corrupted fonts in the Windows/fonts folder?
c) Was it the slightly different OTF fonts that I am no longer using?

TRANSMIT uploaded pdf corrupt after upload (and download)

i have created a pdf which i uploaded to my website using TRANSMIT and when i download normally, i get the attached error.
this is a file that I created and i think the corruption is due to an upload issue with transmit that they were kind enough to tell me at one point could be fixed by chaning a setting i cannot find ATM.
transmit and transmit support are fantastic but does anyone know where this setting might be while i wait for them to answer? for some reason i cannot find it and it must have been reset when i did a fresh install.

that safari (6.0.1) error is /HORRENDOUS/.
this is a no file found error in mozilla and it is because i uploaded to the wrong folder
someone should fix this because it is the second time in about 6 months that i have had the need to fix it and it is only this second time that i figured out what the problem is.
"not supported" or "damaged" is not a helpful prompt in this case and at the very least there should be a location error or a file not found added...
