PDF Version History Chart Listing Features Of Each Revision?

Hello,
Would anyone be aware of a chart style format for the history of the Portable Document Format which would list each PDF version along a timeline from its inception to the current version, with the newly added features of each revision outlined accordingly?

Thanks once again Leonard, I was able to cull each of the 'new feature' sections from the PDF Reference books, versions 1.3-1.7, and was able to do the same with 1.2, after locating that book here:

The 'Adobe PDF Technology Center' 'PDF Reference' page doesn't maintain books for versions earlier than 1.3.
Finally, should I be looking for a reference book which outlines features for versions earlier than 1.1 (the 1.2 guide listed both 1.1 and 1.2), and if so, would you be aware as to where I might find these materials?

Document version history does not open

Hello:
In an on-premises SharePoint 2013 SP1 installation, a site using HTTPS has a particular document library with versioning turned on. If a user views the version history for a particular file, each version is listed with a hyperlink to view. However,
on this site the document (in this case, a PowerPoint presentation) refuses to open. An error message from the client application states that the document cannot be open.
What is causing this behavior? Another farm in this environment using HTTP does not experience this behavior.

I recommend to reset the settings in Internet Explorer(IE) and then close(IE). After that re-open the site in IE and then open the previous version of the documents in the site.
To reset IE, please go to Internet options in IE> click Advanced tab and then click Reset to reset the Internet Explorer settings.

Unable to access version history of master page

Hi,
I think i totally messed up the master pages, i'm not sure what i did, but i edited seattle.html master page and published it. Now i try to access the site, i get error : "Sorry something went wrong....blah..blah "
Now when i tried to restore the version history, it throws an error shown below. Please help me to resolve this. I think i just did it in production server.. a big blunder i guess.

Thanks for your response.
In anxiety i was trying many different things and i found a strange thing. The first screenshot below shows how i tried it earlier. I right click (after checking out the file of course) on the seattle.html and then when i select version history, it doesn't
work.
But in the second screenshot if rather than right clicking, i just click on the file name and then from the next screen, at the right side there is a Version History table listing all the versions. So when i select a version, the Restore button activates
on the Ribbon and now i can restore from here without any issue.
And there is another approach, we can restore through design manager. But if your entire master page is screwed up totally, then you won't be able to go to your _layouts/15/DesignMasterPages.aspx in the first place.
So i would suggest people to try the second method (from designer pane).

But in any case, i truly acknowledge your advice and it was a close shave for me :) It was very risky. I'm going ahead with your advice and in fact need some more advice.
I'm going to do the below steps and need your advice on this:
1. I will make a copy of seattle.html and i guess it will create .master for itself.
2. Now i right click on the seattle.html and reset to site definition. So i guess it will like what it was by default.
3. Now I associate the copy i made with my site.

SharePoint 2013 - Document Set Capture Version History. Does each version captured for each document set keep a copy of all the document stored in the document set?

Hi All,
We have currently encountered an issue where even though version control is turned on in a document library, changes made to the metadata of a document set is not tracked in a version history.
We have found that in order to this a user will need to manually click on the capture version history button.
With this in mind, we are concerned about the impact of this on our storage. The question we have been trying to answer is whether each document set version:
stores the change in metadata of the document set and a copy of all the documents stored in the document set
stores the change in metadata of the document set and a reference to the documents stored in the document set (making use of SharePoint 2013's shredded storage)
The reason we ask this is that if a document set version stores a copy of all the document stored in a document set, a change in one of the fields in the document set could result in the storage used to grow exponentially. e.g. if the document set contains
documents totaling 30MB, and if we have 10 versions of the document set, we could take up 300 MB in the content database for just one document set.
We have tried to some searching around Google but wasn't able to find any answers around this question. Would appreciate some assistance from anyone who has knowledge around how document set version history works.

i had a long thing written out, but submit failed. suffice to say it does "2". it only stores the changes with pointers to the documents.

Preserving PDF version after Save during "Extend Features in Reader"

Hi,
I'm using Acrobat Pro 9 and I'm attempting to make a fillable form that needs to be compatible with Acrobat 5 (PDF v1.4) . I can make the form, but when I extend features in reader, the copy it saves is PDF v1.6 (Acrobat 7). Is there any way to maintain the PDF version when doing this, or is this not possible with V1.4 PDFs?

Is there a web version of the list of apps featured in the iTunes App Store?

I like seeing the apps that Apple features in their App Store, like their Collections, or Best of 2013, or their category lists (like "Get in Shape" for the Health category). However, I think the store is a little clunky and I just want to quickly browse latest apps.Is there a web-based version of these lists or are they listed on Apple's website anywhere?

The only Apple sites that I know of are less useful than using iTunes itself (or Mac App Store if you are referring to Mac Apps), they only list apps alphabetically or by popularity :

Get the Version history of a sharepoint 2013 Custom List item

Hi All,
I am having doubt to retrieve the field version information with the comments.
For this field i am done like this
1.Creating a custom list
2.And enable versioning for the list
3.And add a field with field type 'Multiple Lines of Text' and in the Addition Column Settings section 'select yes radio button option in 'Append changes to the Existing text'.
4.If we done like this the changes to the list item are available outside of field control.
Can any one help me regarding this field to get the all the versions of list item along with modified data.

If you want that functionality, you have edit the Versions.aspx page (refer the below path) and include your print button and javascript to print it. I believe this is the way you can achieve it

CSOM - Fetching list item version history programmatically

HI,
Is it possible to get the List item version history programmatically using Client Object model?
I have checked these links:

In SharePoint Object Model, there is a
SPListItem.Versions property
can help to “Gets the collection of item version objects that represent the versions of the item”.
However, in SharePoint Client Object Model, this property is not available at this moment.
A workaround is that we can create a custom WCF web service for consuming from client side, then in this web service, we can use Object Model to access the versions of a list
item.

This workaround would not be applied to SharePoint Online cause Object Model is needed.

Is there any way to work with site and content structure in SharePoint 2010 with power-shell.
I want to run a automated task(power shell script) to move list items from source to destination in the same site with version history.
I know i can do it from site and content organizer but i have to do manually and SharePoint designer workflows doesn't retain the version history.
Please give me your valuable tips.

Export Library/ List Item Version History

Hello all,
I would like to save some documents from the SharePoint on a normal disk. In one library version control is turned on. Now I am wondering if it is possible to export the version history
to an excel or txt file. Does somebody know a way?
