PDF without full version of ADOBE Acrobat (Smart Forms)

Hello,
I try to generate a smart forms document as pdf-file by successfully using the otf-converter and afterwards the pdf-viewer.
Because of company rules only ADOBE Acrobat 7.0 Elements and ADOBE Acrobat 7.0 Reader are installed and we are not allowed to install the full version of ADOBE Acrobat.
Now the pdf-viewer methods generate error "did not find ADOBE application to display PDF documents".
Can anybody help?

  • Msi of full version of adobe acrobat; is there one available?

We want to deploy a full version of adobe acrobat over a network and were wondering if there was an msi available for the full version of adobe acrobat? It appears there is one for the reader, version 8 and 9, but I've yet to find anything definitive for a full version of acrobat, be it standard or professional, version 8 or 9; anybody have a link? info? Thanks.
    Jeff

For deploying full version of Acrobat over the network by MSI, the best approach is to create the AIP for the same. Please refer to the below mentioned link and read the steps for creating your own AIP, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83709/attachments/Acrobat_Enterprise_Administration.pdf
For creating AIP of Acrobat 9 (English) download all the patches from below mentioned link: http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/9.1/misc/AcroProStdUpd910_T1T2_incr. msp http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/9.1.1/misc/AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.ms p

  • Full version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Mac - serial number not recognized

I just bought the full version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for Mac as a download. I installed it, but it does not recognize the serial number which Adobe sent me!! Does anyone know a solution to this bizarre problem?

    Hello again,
Unfortunately, your suggestion doesn't resolve my problem. I never had an older version of Acrobat (9 or 10) installed on this computer, which is a completely new Mac.
The only Acrobat package I had previously is the TRIAL version of Acrobat Pro XI ...
    Can you suggest a solution?
    Thank you!

  • Full Version of Adobe Acrobat X standard?

This might be a stupid question but I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere and I am only lightly familiar with Adobe products.  I have a user who has never had a previous version of Adobe Acrobat Standard installed but does have the free reader installed.  Do I need a 'Full' version of Acrobat X Standard or will the upgrade work?  I ask because it doesn't seem that the Adobe site even lists a full version of the software, only the upgrade version.  I have however seen full versions available for twice the price at a small number of online sites.  Adobe really needs to clear up this confusion.

Takes exactly 30 seconds to find it:
    Go to: http://www.adobe.com
    Products
    Acrobat X Standard
    Buy button on the right
In the pop-up window switch from Upgrade to Full, select the other options
you want, click Add to Cart and continue from there.

  • I purchased a full version of adobe acrobat a few years ago and my old computer broke down. I'd like to transfer the adobe acrobat I had installed in the previous laptop to my new one

How do I transfer the adobe acrobat full version that I purchased and installed in my previous computer to my new one?

You don't transfer it.  You install it and use the serial number from the original to activate it.  You might be able to find your serial number in your Adobe account online if you registered the software when you previously installed it.  You can download the software thru the page linked below.

  • Can i use the full version of adobe acrobat on a chromebook?

    Hi,
I will probably need to get a chromebook due to budgetary restrictions, but also need to get adobe acrobat XI Pro. I heard there were compatibility problems. Is this true? If I cant download adobe on my computer, if I subscribe to abobe, is there an full, online version I can use instead?
Thanks so much for your help,
    Raisha

    Hi Raisha ,
Yes ,you are correct ,Acrobat is not compatible with Chromebook as it runs on Chrome OS. Acrobat runs only on Windows and Mac.
You can refer to the following links and see if it helps you .
    https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1056325?hl=en&ref_topic=2589149.
In this page you can choose "browse for more apps" option at the bottom of the page and see if they provide you Acrobat XI Pro.

Why is my software being identified as an upgrade?  I bought a ull version of 8.0 Professional!

    Hey swolk,
Please let me know that whether you were having previous version of Acrobat installed on your system?
Where do you see that Acrobat is being identified as upgrade? Is your Adobe account showing you the same?

  • In Plugins I have two versions of Adobe Acrobat - how do I get rid of the old one?

In Plugins (and Applications) it shows two version of Adobe Acrobat: 10.1.13.16 and 11.0.10.32 How do I get rid of the old one?

Thanks! Especially for the last sentence :). Now that I found the path, I see the Adobe Acrobat 10.1.13.16 is the full version and Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10.32 is the reader. Should I delete the Reader?

  • I need to configure Acrobat to display PDF files in Safari, but I have a lot of troubles to do it.I have OX S yosemite, I unistalled adobe acrobat, I closed safary and I installed the new version of adobe acrobat.

    Dear everyone
I need to configure Acrobat to display PDF files in Safari, but I have a lot of troubles to do it.
I read a european commission document explaining that
    http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/support/sep_usermanual.pdf
If Safari does not display pdf forms in the browser window, uninstall all older versions of Adobe Reader and download the most recent one. First close Safari and then install Reader. Launch Safari and you ought to be able to open the pdf files inside the Safari window. If you install Adobe Reader 10.1.x without first closing Safari, Safari will not display the pdf file inside its browser window until it is re-launched. For further help, please see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-safari-plug-acrobat-x.html
I have OX S yosemite, I unistalled adobe acrobat, I closed safary and I installed the new version of adobe acrobat
but when I open a web page that I need to allow me to display and modify PDF files it is not working.
I checked the following web page
    Troubleshoot Safari plug-in | Acrobat X, Reader X
    that is recommending the following:
The AdobePDFViewer plug-in is used to display PDF files in Safari using Acrobat and Reader.
This plug-in is installed as part of the Acrobat X or Reader X installation. The location of this plug-in is:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin
but after the new installation with this folder is completely empty and I am still
    unable to open these pdf.
Does anybody knows anything else I can do?
    Best regards
    Ramon

Unfortunately, what you describe isn't a common problem. It is pretty surprising, but hopefully it's a simple as clicking or pressing the wrong thing. So, to find this out we need to know, step by step, at the most basic level, what you click or type EXACTLY and what you see. That should let us get to the cause.

  • PDF Template (repeating regions) correct version of Adobe Acrobat

    Hi,
I want to build a PDF template for a Payslip I am knocking up at the moment and have come to the conclusion this may be easier as a PDF template rather than an RTF template.
The reason being I have multiple repeating regions in the payslip (earnings, deductions, salary history, payments) all of which could overflow onto another sheet of stationary when the job is run. If you think RTF is a better solution please post and let me know how I should achieve this. Or indeed if you think PDF is wrong also please let me know.
So I want to build a PDF template to utilise its overflow handling but what version of Adobe acrobat do I then need? 9 is the current release and there is a "Standard", "Pro" and "Pro-Extended" version of the software each with escalating costs associated. I see in Tim's blog the PDF has to be in the 1.4 specification which all the versions since 5 seem to support.
If you need anymore info in order to please let me know.
    Cheers
    Doug

Agreed RTF is a lot simpler to create and maintain.
I cannot seem to get my RTF template to behave with overflowing properties my basic design is Below (excuse the odd way of displaying it but I'm sure you get the idea). So any 1 of 4 repeating groups could go over their limits (I have currently hardcoded the loop limit in the group). I need the basic Emp info the Address info and the random info on each sheet.
I've been around the forum and all over the net (Anil Passi's site, XML/BI Publisher Blog etc.) looking at the solutions people have used for invoices and PO's but I cannot seem to use them in my case.
Any help you or anyone else could give on the subject would be gratefully received.
    ************************* Basic Emp info *************************

  • None of the commnets or other type of annotations on this page are contained in the structure tree, getting this error on full check of adobe acrobat PDF

none of the commnets or other type of annotations on this page are contained in the structure tree, getting this error on full check of adobe acrobat PDF

You can find and tag the unmarked annotations using the Tags pane - click the down arrow next to
the Options icon (near the top left of the pane), then Find > Unmarked Annotations. You will be given the option to tag the annotations - usually they are hyperlinks in which case use the link tag. Then you will need to create the proper tag stucture. Lots of information about that via google, for example the Adobe Acrobat X Professional: PDF Accessibility (Section 508 Tagging) Reference Guide (http://webtools.ca.gov/files/2010/07/acrobat_X_tagging-manual.docx)
