Peer 2 Peer Recording

Hi,
I've been asked to look into possible call recording solutions for internal Lync calls (Audio only). We already have a recording solution and I'm looking at ways that we could integrate Lync calls into this. We can already record lync calls which go through
the edge server to the PSTN.
What we were hoping to do was to route the call out using an MSPL script to a UCMA application which would then forward the audio onto our recording platform. After reading various articles would I be correct in saying that this isn't currently possible
as the audio will always go point to point and this cannot be changed?
If this is the case then, would I be right in thinking the only way around this would be to forward the call using an MSPL script to a UCMA application which then turns the call into a conference and then forwards the audio onto our recording platform? Can
the audio be forwarded on from this point or does this have to be recorded as a physical file at this point by the UCMA application?
Any help advice would be most appreciated.
Regards
Michael

Generally yes, for any recording solution using UCMA (as opposed to a packet inspection type solution) you'll need to redirect the call using MSPL to a UCMA application, and use a BackToBackCall to connect it to a conference.
At this point, you can do a number of things. You can record the audio to a WMA file using the UCMA Recorder class, or you can join a SIP endpoint belonging to a third-party recording solution to the conference and let that solution take care of recording.
Let me know if this answers your question or if you're looking for more details.

  • Windows 8.1 Peer-Peer Network

I've been asked to setup a small network of PC's for a small Charity
They need 10 x PC's with Windows 8.1. No budget for a server
8.1 Pro are more expensive - can I setup 1 PC to host file and the other 9 to connect to that
They also have  3 Notebooks which will need access to the central share and about 3 Printers
As they have limited budget I can't suggest a server (well I have but)
I've not setup Peer-Peer for more than 3-4 users - will this work reliably ?
Is there limit to number pf connections - I seem to remember 10 ?

    Hello ChrisS,
Please explain a bit about the following question for better analyzation:
    1. Do you want one Windows 8.1 pro as file share server ?
    2. Why do you want to use Peer to Peer network?
    3. What do you mean about the sentence ‘Is there limit to number pf connections - I seem to remember 10 ?’ What is pf connection?

  • Help needed gathering information to develope peer-peer chat app

    Hi,
I want to develop a chat application to communicate with other computer on my home LAN.
I need to application (which would be installed on all the computers in the network) similar to Novell chat client to show the host name of each computer and should be able to send message any of this computer. The computers are all laptops so they have dynamic IPs.
I don't know where to start and how to go about finding the right resource. If any one could help me i would appreciate it a lot.
    Thank you.

Just Google it. You will get lot of informations on chat application.

  • How to handle DLSw for SDLC and token-ring to same remote peer

We have the need to have SDLC and token-ring connections from one local router to a the same remote site. Currently we have a remote peer for token-ring:
    dlsw port-list 10 TokenRing0/0
    dlsw remote-peer 10 tcp a.b.c.d lf 1500
We have an SDLC link on a serial port. I understand that SDLC is part of group 0. How do I also get the SDLC traffic to the same remote peer? Is it as simple as adding another remote peer statement to the same IP?
    dlsw remote-peer 0 tcp a.b.c.d lf 1500

Do you have your token ring configuration complete to bridge to DLSW ?
    for example;
    source-bridge ring-group 2000
    dlsw local-peer peer-id 150.150.10.1
    dlsw remote-peer 0 tcp 150.150.10.2
    interface loopback 0
    ip address 150.150.10.1 255.255.255.0
    interface serial 0
    ip address 150.150.11.1 255.255.255.192
    interface serial 1
description PU2 with SDLC station role set to secondary
    no ip address
    encapsulation sdlc
    no keepalive
    clockrate 9600
    sdlc role primary
    sdlc vmac 4000.9999.0100
    sdlc address 01
    sdlc xid 01 05d20006
    sdlc partner 4000.1020.1000 01
    sdlc dlsw 1
    interface serial 2
description Node Type 2.1 with SDLC station role set to negotiable or primary
    encapsulation sdlc
    sdlc role prim-xid-poll
    sdlc vmac 1234.3174.0000
    sdlc address d2
    sdlc partner 1000.5aed.1f53 d2
    sdlc dlsw d2
    interface tokenring 0
    no ip address
    ring-speed 16
    source-bridge 100 1 2000
    source-bridge spanning
If your SDLC link is working through DLSW (it is in DLSW ring group 10 according to your first configuration statement and port list statement and must match at both ends), it should be an easy modification to add the token ring configuration to join the bridge to the remote DLSW router.

  • My NBAR peer-to-peer config

I built a config to rate shape P2P traffic on my network to 30k/s. I thought it would be useful for people who are looking to limit peer-peer traffic inside their company. If you have any additions or other ideas, let me know.
This is on a Cisco 1751 with IOS 12.3(4)T6. Later versions of 12.3 has newer PDLMs so you don't have to download them.
You will need to apply it to a interface by using the "service-policy output" command, also you need to have "ip nbar protocol-discovery" turned on the interface to get statistics.
ip nbar custom bittorrent tcp range 6881 6889

    Hi,
How do i apply this class-map to an interface?
If i have a few servers on the same vlan, can i apply it to the vlan instead of the individual switch ports?

    1) If I configure dlsw mac-address command at router A , should the MAC address configure should change non-canonical ?
    2) If I want to configure dlsw mac-address command at router B , is the configure MAC address remain as non-canonical ?
May be you can explain more about the scenerio about when or where to bit swap the MAC address of configuration.
    Best Regards.

    Hi,
I get confusing. To make it simple I include the config and example.
Assume Token ring host is non-canonical and ethernet host is canonical. Please refer R1 & R2 config at the end.

  • Lync 2010/2013 - Call Recording with PSTN

I am trying to find out more information about how larger companies use Lync while still recording calls to and from the PSTN. We have a huge need to be able to record specific (not all) calls in an on-demand fashion from the Lync client.
Lync seems to have some strange limitations with what it lets you record.
My issue is that Lync doesn't present options for recording calls to the PSTN unless you convert the call into a conference using some creative "tricks". Has anyone found a better way of doing this so that the user can just select record?  It seems
extremely counter productive to say "hey here's our unified product", but if you need this really basic feature of a phone system you need a third party product. None of the third party products I've looked at actually integrate with Lync
in a way that the user just clicks record or some other option.
This is a major limitation of Lync for us and it is really holding up our ability to adopt Microsoft Lync. Does anyone have some good guidance on the best way to do PSTN recording with the Lync client?

    Hi,Shaddie,
Yes,Lync doesn't support PSTN call except in a conferencing call,peer-to-peer call recording only works between Lync clients, and if someone call you via PSTN the call recording will not work, check the following links to have a workaround.

  • What is Peer-ID in CDR record

    Hi,
Can anyone explain or point me to some documents what exactly is a "Peer-ID" in the CDR (Call Detail Record) of a VoIP call.
    Thanks..

That depends on what type of equipement have generated that call detail record. If that is "show call active voice id xxxx command" output, then PeerID is the number of configured incoming or outgoing voice peer. See Cisco IOS Voice Configuration Library here:
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios124/124tcg/vcl.htm

  • Is peer to peer recording, (VSTconnection, web session) coming to Logic?

I was at a colleagues yesterday who uses Cubase and he mentioned the VST connection -web session  functionality for cubase users. This awesome feature allows you to record people anywhere with internet connection. People downlaod the free app and connect to your studio in real time and control.

    Hi Deepak Srivastava,
You can run the following command to enable the feature.
    Set-CsconferencingPolicy –Identity Global –EnableP2PRecording $True

  • ASA 5505 Site-to-Site VPN to remote dmz access

I don't have a ton of experience with ASA firewalls, but I've searched everywhere and I can't seem to find a solution to this.
    I have 2 sites connected by a Site-to-Site VPN with ASAs (5540 on Site 1, 5505 on Site 2). I'm using ASDM.
    Lets call:
    Site 1 LAN: 192.168.1.0
    Site 2 LAN: 192.168.2.0
    Site 2 DMZ: 172.16.2.0
Traffic from Site 1 to Site 2 is perfect moving across the LANs. My workstation (192.168.1.10) can ping anything in site 2s LAN (192.168.2.0/24).
Recently, I added a UniFi WAP device to Site 2 DMZ. Since I want to be able to manage this DMZ WAP from the LAN with a management server, I created a network object in Site 2s ASA. I called this object DMZ_WAP. IP address 172.16.2.2. I checked the box for "Add Automatic Address Translation Rules" and configured Type to "Static" and Translated Addr to "192.168.2.8." Source interface DMZ to Any destination interface. This of course created 2 "Network Object" NAT rules.
I then created a DMZ incoming rule that says Source: DMZ_WAP, Destination: net_site1_lan (this object was of course created for the site to site vpn), allow all IP traffic. I created an Outside incoming rule that says net_site1_lan can access DMZ_WAP.
Awesome, I can now ping 192.168.2.8 from anywhere within Site 2. The problem is... I can't ping 192.168.2.8 from my workstation in site 1 (192.168.1.10). If I run Packet Tracer (interface dmz, packet type TCP, source 172.16.2.2 port "echo", destination 192.168.1.10 port "echo") everything turns up green checkmark, the packet is allowed. So why do I have no contact?
I apologize, as I realize ASDM isnt what most of you probably use. But anyone have any ideas? Been researching this for about 4 hours now, perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree.
    Thanks,
    Garrick

Here's my sanitized config. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, the point is simply to make the object SITE2_DMZ_WAP that is off of the "dmz" interface talk with SITE1 over the site to site VPN. I can't let any other traffic through except this one IP. I currently have it NATd.

    Hi Everyone,
I was trying to perform a backup across our peer-peer network from a Windows 7 computer to an XP Pro computer.  The user has full access to the additional harddrive on the XP computer, but I get error code 0x81000039, remote share path not available.  I believe this was towards the end of the backup, but I was not watching it the full time.  Any suggestions?

          Hello Arthur,
I would suspect it is a network issue too, but I tried this a total of 5 times, 3 of them resulting in the network error.  I do not remember what one of the errors was, but I know the other error was a “Only one image is allowed on this drive” type error.  At this point I tried one last time and it was after restarting both computers, logging in, waiting till both systems were idle, and then creating a new folder on the remote drive so that there would be no more, "Only one image" errors.  I had no problems creating the new folder, Jason7, on the remote drive.  This is the same network drive that I use to backup this computer when it had Vista on it.
Unfortunately I am not physically located in the facilities so trying a crossover cable is a little more than difficult at this time. :)
Just out of curiosity I tried it on two computers running Windows 7 RC here at my house.  I have the same network type setup and addressing as at the office.  I was able to successfully complete a backup from my laptop to my home desktop, so that was no help in figuring out this problem.
It did actually put almost 19GB of zip files on the network backup location.  This happened all three times when I got the network error.  Also both computers have battery backup as well as the network switch, router, and modem so power kicking out would not have been the problem.  None of the UPS’s recorded any spikes, noise or anything.  It appears to be a problem at the end of the backup and whatever process it is doing near the end of the backup.
I was able to upload the last three tries log files to Soudamini yesterday and today he said he would be getting back with me.
Anything you can think of I can try remotely?
    Best regards,
    Frederick C. Frahm

  • Can we build equity and acquire assets without banks while rebuilding credit??

Hi.Thank you for taking a look at my post.  I hope we can help each other.  I have 3 goals for this post. 1 - to reach out to this community for opinions, leads, and hopefully contact info for private lenders who really do lend based on the asset and not focus on our marred credit. 2 - maybe members (and of course me) can find someone else on this site who is/are in similar situations and can put resources together to start making lots of money without the banks.  3 - just being honest...I simply need to vent my frustrations in a safe environment where I'm sure there are others who can relate :-) I am getting back into real estate fix & flip, rehab after several years of life altering events and recuperating from personal injuries.  I am not an agent or anything like that. I'm just really good at finding and negotiating awesome deals that I end up having to flip. I've worked my butt off to save and purchased one here and there but I need to find funding to get to the next level.  I joined this site because my credit is in repair and I'm working the information I read about in this forum.  Having gone from a high level of success to wondering how I was going to get from the bedroom to the bathroom,  I feel like this is the one place I can trust to put myself out there and get meaningful, non-judgmental peer-peer responses with solid pertinent information. Hence why I could use some opinions and hope to get some leads on lenders that might help me out.  With several properties under contract, I'll have to flip to other buyers at discounted values if I can't find a lender.  I've spoken with about 20 lenders who claim they are "private", "hard money", "Asset-based" commercial loans, investor driven, bad credit, blah...blah...blah...only to find out they really are just like dealing with a bank. I am not claiming to have great credit and I realize on paper I look pretty weak. However, the whole time they are making claims they are not credit driven...what do you think the first thing they want is...yup...credit scores!  Even though the numbers of the asset are very strong and purchased in an LLC. They all require full doc personal financials...the whole time they are saying they don't really judge you on credit....RIGHT! While these "direct lenders" and "private money lenders"  may not have to work under the federal bank lending regulations, THEY are not interested in anyone who doesn't meet THEIR rigid requirements.  Which in reality are exactly the same as the regular banks.  I have yet to find one lender that truly bases their decisions on the property asset without pulling credit, bank statements, etc.  They all will only lend a portion of what is needed (50 -75% LTV or LTC )based on the lowest value they can determine (Purchase price or appraisal which ever is lower) which means they have essentially no risk and the investor has to bring in a lot of cash. No difference. They are essentially all the same and just boast about being different. This is all fine if that is how they run their business. I am the last to judge them for that. However, I am tired of wasting my time talking to company after company making these claims but really won't put their money where their mouth is!!   I have also looked into a lot of the sites for peer-peer funding. In general they are all fantastic and serve a great purpose. Especially for kids and fundraising purposes. But I'm working on a business. On those sites, you really have to put your self out there on the front line and air your dirty laundry to the world in order to participate. I realize I could do that and tell my sad story and why I want people to invest in me and my project. Frankly, maybe I'm too proud or going about this all wrong but I'm just not ready to post my story to the world and ask my friends and family for handouts. I don't want people feeling sorry for me or my name all over the internet telling people my credit sucks (even though it isn't that bad now). Let's be honest - who posts on a peer-peer funding site for their own benefit if you have your financial life in order!! That said,  I'm sure none of us would be on this site if we didn't have or have had financial turmoil in our lives.  Who cares why.. it happens. Hopefully, we all realize that is not what defines us as people and we can all achieve our dreams like any one else.  It just might take longer, or a bit more work. You get the picture. So I thought, what if others on this site are experiencing the same things.  Do you feel like you are missing out on opportunities to make your money grow? Maybe you have improved your credit but don't have enough cash to get a loan. Maybe you can't get a loan because of credit  but you have cash. Maybe you can't get a bank account and are missing out on investment opportunities because your money is sitting under your mattress.  Seems to me people on this sight are all focused on the same thing and have the best interests of others in sight.  We also have this fantastic forum to discuss our money issues and glean insight and information from others that helps us improve our situations.  I'm wondering if we could partner up our strengths and find ways to benefit by working together with other like minded members.   You thoughts are of great value. Please post.

Are you debt free? Do you have any cash to throw into this? If no... what about subbing out under someone else or getting in GCing or Foreman for a bigger company while you cleanup your personal finances? Real estate is AWESOME, but if you can't cashflow at least a good chunk of it, you can get in a pretty scary spot...  What kind of assets do you have? Could you flip your own home and use those monies to invest in your next flip and live as cheap as possible through a few flips until you have a good bit of cash built up?

  • Problem with Clustering in Oracle AS10.1.3.1.0

I have an Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1 installed with a multicast IP along with an home instance whcih is an administrative instance. Installed another instance on other system with only J2EE Server installation and having home not as an administrative instance which is basically a Active - Active topology.
Created 2 home instances on the 2 Application Servers with in the same group and deploymed my application in both the instances with Peer-Peer Dynamic Discovery mode. but when i run the application its running fine when i go from the localhost address but when i mention the internal IP or the Public IP of the system session is getting failed. i hope that the request is transferring between the 2 instances when i specify the IP. So i specified the system property -Doracle.j2ee.rmi.loadBalance=client which makes the request to stick to only one instance till its life ends. but this also throws me the same error. And the error is
