Pending Items

Hello everybody,.....
We are intending to do an export from production environment to development environment.
Some group pages have approval process enabled and there are pending items.
The question is.
Will I have problem exporting and importing a page group that have pending items?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Pending items will not at all be considered for migration.
Meaning to say that, the export will ignore all just items during extraction phase and the import process will merge the data to the target portal from whatever extracted from source.
The result is, you get the page with all the other contents except pending items.

  • Approval - view pending items with view page

    Is it possible to view pending items with view page? I know it is possible to view it in graphical mode, but our content manager want's to see the end result.
    Maybe i'm missing something. (We have portal 9.0.4.1.0 (Build: 129), upgrade to a newer version would be no problem)

    Hi Dirk -
    The next major version of Portal (10.1.4) also only shows the "View Pending Items" mode, which is the same as graphical mode, except with the pending items of course.

  • Does SharePoint allow to Approve/Reject non-pending items

    I am confused on the behaviour SharePoint is handling content approval, as sometimes it will hide the Approve/Reject links if the item status is not pending. While on some senarios it will allow to Approve/Reject items regardless of their statuses. Let
    for example examine these two senarions.
    I have a document library and I set “Require content approval for submitted item” under its versioning settings.
    Now when users access the page , the “Approve/Reject” links will be disabled unless the page status is pending. For example this is an approved page and the “Apprve/Reject” links are disabled:-
    However this is not always true, because if I access the same page but from this location “Site content>>Library”, select the page, from the drop-down menu there will be “Approve/Reject” link for the same page:-
    So this means that there is inconsistency behavior inside SharePoint , as for the same item it will disabled “Approve/Reject” link while on other places it will enable them (as shown above),, so can anyone advice on this please , and if there is a reason

    I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.
    It seems that this issue occurs with  lists and wiki pages libraries.
    We will help to submit the issue to proper pipeline for you.

    Appreciate your time and patience.
    As a workaround, you can code to achieve what you want which is not an easy way.
    You can use client object model to get the current selected items and check the _ModerationStatus of the items.
    If the _ModerationStatus is equal to 0 (which means approved in SharePoint) or 1(which means rejected in SharePoint), then disable the Approve/Reject button.
    In the meanwhile, you need to monitor the ribbon if the Files has been opened.

  • Delete pending item in SO, reject not working

    We want to change the batch management mark on a material, so we requiere to delete all pending sales, in most cases it works when I reject the line item but not on others, does anyone knows another way that I can delete or mark as completed those line items?

    It's hard to say without more information, but it seems to me that you are trying to reject items which have transactions in progress.  E.g., a delivery has been created but not billed.
    For those items which you are not able to reject, please review the item transaction flow and confirm that there are not any items which have not been clompleted.
    If that does not answer your question, are you getting any error messages?

  • Pending Items Report

    The requirement is that, In my Order, WBS element is there...the WBS is having the BOM of all the items of the main material...along with that there are some spares also or some extra material like nut/bolts which are there in the order but not linked with the WBS. they are entered seperatly by the users in the SO
    The Users are normally going for the delivery of the main component i.e. the material in the WBS linked but not doing the delivery for the spares...so now they want a report of all the spares materials in the SO so that they can do the delivery for those items also.
    Any suggestions would be of great help.

    I get the pending sales order from VBUK but how i get the pending item details for that particular sales order. In VBAP all line items are displayed but i want only pending line items. Please help me if u know the answer.

  • Alert mail for "Pending" column in List SharePoint 2013.

    I'm using SharePoint 2013 online. I've created one List in which one Column is Choice (Completed, Pending) column named "Status". For all Item If "Status" is Pending, weekly one mail should fire with List of only "Pending"
    Items as a alert to a person/group.
    I think this is possible through SP Designer 2013 but not sure how (:. Please provide steps if you have any idia. Thanks.

    I agreed with the above replies, there is not an OOB way to check the list and send email weekly via SharePoint Designer workflow. You need to create a custom timer job to achieve it.
    In addition, as an alternative workaround, I suggest you create a workflow to check whether the "Status" column of the current item is pending, and send an email. Then use retention feature to start the workflow, and you can set it  recurrence
    per 7 days.

  • In URM, pending event and pending vital review notifications sent

    In URM, there is a workflow that I created that notifies the author at the time of check in. Approvals required are zero, so it just is a notification with no approvals necessary. The next notification comes when a custom metadata date field matches the current date. The disposition action for this is 'Notify Authors'.
    When I run all of the batch services, not only is the 'Notify Authors' email sent, but also two more emails for pending event and pending vital reviews. The users do not want to see these two emails and in fact should not have anything pending since nothing in the system requires approval.
    What causes the pending event and pending vital reviews? I guess my question is, if there are no pending items for action or review, will this still be sent? Are the vital reviews for when someone clicks on "vital" when they are checking in a document? I need to understand how these pending events occur. We have nothing that we want to require approval in our system, so it seems odd to me that we would get these notifications. Please help me understand what causes something to be listed as "pending event" or "pending review".

    I resolved my own issues. It turns out, in case anyone is interested, that the users had the rmaadmin and rmaprivilege roles so that is why they were getting these notifications. Once these permissions were removed, they no longer received these notifications.
    So it was all in the security.

    Open Item Management :  For Accounts which are to be monitored i.e. payment are to be monitored the account must be defined as a open item management account (Pending Item)
    We can specify it for Balance Sheet Account
    For Clearing Account we need to select open item management
    Open item management is to be selected for Balance Sheet receivables and payables Accounts
    Ex  :   Bank Clearing Account
         Expences Payable Account
         Income Receivable Account
         Taxes Payable Account
         Loan Payable Account
    Open Item Management must be followed by Line Item Display (Mandatory)
    For Recon Account donot select the openitem management.

  • Document library pending view with Folder

    I have a document library with content Approval setup. I have many folders and files inside them.
    I can see all Pending items from library in a view with filter - Status='Pending'. This is working ok.
    But I want to see the actual location of file
    1. In the same view I should have a column which says the Folder name of the file.
    OR
    2. Display only folders with Pending items and inside it display all Pending files.
    Thus display a folder only when its contains Pending files.

    I think that the best way to achieve it, is developing one Event Receiver or one workflow to populate one column with your required information.

  • Creating pages,item WITH approval.

    Hi,
    I found out how to create a page and add an item to that page automatically. But now I need to find out how to use this with approval.
    1) I noticed that approval only exists on the item level and not the page level. Is this correct?
    2) How can I make that the page/item I create automatically, has to be approved? The approval will be done in a normal way, through the existing approval portlet. Normally one should enable approval control on the page, create a user and give this user the 'manage items with approval' rights, all items published by this user, will not be published before approval.
    Can someone provide an example, on how to mark an item for approval programmatically?
    The function add_item contains a parameter 'p_author - Author of the item.'. Can this be used, as I enable the author to 'manage items with approval'?

This works, the page is created first (by the user who invoked the portlet) and an item is placed on the page. I can even see the item showing up in my 'PENDING ITEMS LIST' for approval.
    BUT
    After the procedure I am NOT redirected to the page where I submitted the form bu instead I get an error:

  • Items in queue won't download   - not a simple one

    I have 131 items in queue, but they won't even start downloading. When I check for purchases, I get the network times out connection contacting store messge.
    However, Itunes diagnostics run clean. up until today, I was able to buy a new song, watch it download, then get the timeout message on my pending items. I get the same messge from my laptop. My home nework, I can rent movies on apple TV just fine.
    ideas?

    So here was the deal. Two things resulted in getting this fixed (not all items are fully downloaded yet, but at least things are queuing up and starting to download just fine).
    1. I got hold of the Apple Support number 800-275-2273 via a nice Itunes Chat Agent. I got transferred to another entry drone working on Ipods, but at least got them to transfer me to a real human being that worked on Apple equipment.
    I got this gentleman to open a case number for me, I DOCUMENTED THE CASE NUMBER, and he also gave me the corporate support line to call for escalation on the case to get a customer relations person (will not list that number here, go through the correct process first to get it just like I did).
    I was also lucky enough to have Itunes loaded on both my laptop and my home PC. I scheduled an appointment at the local Apple store, and had THEM watch as my laptop, connected to the network AT the Apple Store with no firewall or anti-virus enabled, got the same network time-out message at their location. So much for local network problems crap read from a deficient script by an entry line support drone.
    I had the apple store guy write out a repair number (they don't do case numbers) describing the situation. You have to own ANY type of apple product to do this (in my case it was an iphone). I then called the corporate line (get it from the dude who opens your case number from the 800 support line), got the corporate operator and asked for escalation on an existing case number.
    After 10 minutes on hold, I got an EXCELLENT rep, had them add the repair order notes from the apple store dude to the case number. The Customer Relations person reviewed the data, got hold of an actual Itunes support person that works on Itunes while I was on the phone and got the ball rolling in minutes.
    The guy cleared out my queue, but I still didn't get my purchases (message said all Itunes purchases were downloaded at this point, with NOTHING in queue).
    I emailed a follow up the next morning to the Customer Relations person (alwasy ask for the name and email of the person you are dealing with, and log the date and time of the call!, and always reference your case number). I itemized the purchase numbers from my Itunes account purchase history that were stuck and never downloaded in the email, and followed up with another call referenceing the same case number.
    At this moment, Itunes Tech Support is now adding things back in small batches that are queueing up and downloading just fine and dandy.
    Moral of the story - FACT - Do not buy a bunch of seasons or a lot of episodes in quick succession - in my case, it was buying all the episodes for 4 seasons of Lost in about 5 minutes (130 some odd video items in queue). It evidently overwhelmed the Apple SERVER's ability to queue up that much crap on one ID at a time, and/or the local PC Itunes crapped out on trying to queue up that many video downloads all at once, hence the network timeout message (too short a setting on a timer on either the server or PC side or both I presume). It ain't my 16mb internet pipe (with approximately 16mb throughput, thanks), that's for sure.
    If you are going to buy multiple seasons of a show, purchase 1 season, wait till the thing fully downloads, then buy the next one. Same goes with movies. I don't suggest purchasing a large number of movies all at once unless you want your queue jammed and it taking a month to break through the crust of entry level chat and email Itunes support drones reading from a script telling you that your local network is hosed when it ain't. These are call center reps reading from a script and are NOT technical, though you can get a good one occasionally.
    Also BE POLITE when talking to the folks on the phone and have your crap together (i.e., run the Itunes diagonstics and verify that you can access all the Itunes network components). If that don't work, the problem IS most likely on your end on either the PC or the local network and the drones can help.
    My problem was oddball in nature, it was the Itunes ACCOUNT that was hosed. If you've already downloaded crap and lost it, you are SOL, and this process does not apply. My stuff never got downloaded in the first place and the issue was breaking through the entry level crust to get someone to look at my Itunes Account rather than reading a script to tell my my local network and / or PC were hosed.
    Finally, when you DO get good support, ask the agent for their manager's contact information and write them a great big thank you. That keeps the good folks employed, more motivated to help, and hopefully gives apple a way to keep the good folks and weed out the morons (e.g., those that start a chat session with you and then stop answering after saying hello, or Itunes email "support" that doesn't return emails).
    I got 1 good chat person (out ot 2 attempts), and the email support person sent me a standard script and would not even reply, despite multiple attempts.
    I POLITELY reported the good and the bad on my case number, and made darn sure that I'm following up with a thank you letter to the managers of the folks that helped me.
