PeopleSoft Financials: Enable user to add/edit vendors information

I want to create a user would Add and Edit Vendors information from his account/UserID.
For that I have created a new User, but not sure what roles/permissions should be assigned to him to enable him to Add information for Vendors.
Right now if I try to add new vendor from his ID I get Not-Authorized error.
Please let me know.

Whenever you run into this issue, look up the content reference for the component in the portal through
main menu - peopletools - portal - structure and content.
After you found the content reference click on the edit link.
In the second tab Security, you will find the permission lists that have access to this content reference/component.
Assign one of the permission lists to your user and you user will have access to the content reference and component.

    I am creating teacher unit curriculum building plans, where many lessons make up a unit.  Some teachers may have 5 lessons in unit, while other teachers may have 10 lessons in a unit.  How can I have a form for a unit with 5 lesson templates to fill in by default, but have a button (or some function) that will allow the user to add additional lesson templates if they have more than 5?  A way to duplicate a page and add it to the form, as a user with reader?
    I was experimenting with using buttons to hide all the extra lesson templates if they aren't going to use them, but then there are still a bunch of "empty" pages on the form if they were to do this (say, if I were to put 12 fillable lesson templates in the Unit Plan form, but they only have 7 lessons....they's be "hiding" 5 other lesson plan templates and leaving a bunch of blank/extra space on the form).

    Unfortunately, we cannot perform this task in Adobe FormCentral as it creates static PDF forms and this functionality can be achieved in dynamic PDF forms.

    I have one custom list.
    every month department head is creating some activity because of which some items are getting added in that list pragmatically.

    After that User want to edit or delete or add new entries only related to their department only.
    How can allow user to edit/delete or add entries (full control) only related to his department in the same list?
    How can I assign users for this?
    Should I create another list having department id and user mapping?

    The flow is like,
    User(Dept head/department user)will select department from drop down and clik on button to add some entries against the department.
    once the entries done he just click on save button.
    after some time if department head/department user want to add/edit/delete some entries against his department then he should able to view only his deapartment entries.  
    Also the email is generated to his manager.
    So my question is how should I allow user to view his own entires only which should be available for him to add/edit/delete.?
    If I create one list of department  and on adding the entries against each department I will add departmentID for every entry so that I can filter them by department.
    but how to allow users for those entries? If I added user for each entry and if any department user changed then I have to change his name from all entries for that department.If the entries are more than 50 or 100 then it will be very difficuelt to handle.
    Also for multiple users for single department this is very difficuelt to provide access.
     is there any alternate solution for it?

    Hi pastore27-
    You should be able to print documents from webpages using Firefox. The print button should display by default. However, it is possible it was removed during an upgrade or due to custom preferences. The way to fix it:
    # Firefox > View > toolbars > customize
    # Select the printer icon and drag it to your browser window
    I also found a Support article on restoring toolbars, as you said the toolbar was missing:

  • Allow All Users To Add List Items But Only Certain users To Edit Them (SharePoint 2013)

    How do we allow all users to add items to a list, but only allow certain users to edit the list items? Site is SharePoint 2013. We have tried creating custom permissions. That does not seem to work.

    I've setup a custom list on my SharePoint Foundation using a custom permission level to accomplish this.  I setup a custom permission level on the site called 'Add Only to Lists'  which allows adding an item to the list and setup the group with
    the default read and the custom permission level and it works.  The users in the group get the add item but do not get edit item, not even items they created themselves.
    Any users who should have full edit permissions can be setup under the normal edit/contribute/design permission level and work normal.
    Below is the Role Definition pulled via PowerShell and Role Assignments on the list in question.  As well as a picture showing what it looks like to something assigned that role level.

  • Error: "LDAP Synch status is enabled. Cannot add users through BAT."

    In 10.x it looks like Cisco has disallowed user imports (via BAT) into LDAP-integrated systems.  Has anyone else run into this?  Below is the error I'm receiving in the Job Status log file.  The error implies that "it's a feature, not a bug".  How are large companies supposed to import new phones/users when they open new branches or do a phone refresh?  Breaking LDAP to do the import isn't a option because you have to blow away your LDAP directory config to do so - not to mention people wouldn't be able to log into Jabber or their user pages while it was broken.  I'm hoping someone has a workaround or has already spoken with TAC about this.   
    Failure Details :
    Device Name/User ID Error Code Error Description
    LDAP Synch status is enabled. Cannot add users through BAT.
    Result Summary :
    INSERT for 0 PHONES passed.
    INSERT for 5 PHONES failed.
    INSERT for 0 USERS passed.

    So if a company has a large CUCM deployment and adds another branch (let's say 100 phones/users), I would have to go user by user and do the phone associations, profile associations, primary extensions, etc 100 times? 
    Is there a better way that I'm missing?  That just doesn't seem logical.  In previous versions (I'm not sure about 6.x in the link.  I started with 7.x) I could have sworn that I could import from BAT even if LDAP was integrated.  I would get an error and only the non-LDAP fields would get changed, but the changes, associations, etc. would still go through.

    On the latest Mac Mini Server Lion 10.7.2
    Everything was working fine at first, I'm pretty sure either since i've upgraded to 10.7.2 or since we try to connect Windows8 to the server, Lion Server is not working to good anymore, from that time I cannot add/edit users or groups & assign any users to any goups, the + sign looks desable, and everything seems pretty glichy. The other thing I have notice is that a huge amount of Users & Groups has been added without my consent.
    Do I have to ReInstall Lion Server??

    I had the same issue.  I opened the Workgroup Manager application and noticed the message "not authenticated as diradmin to directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1" was under the icon bar at the top of the popup screen.  When I clicked on that bar I entered the diradmin username and my password.  After I exited the authentication dialogue box the message now read "Authenticated as diradmin to directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1."
    At that point I had full privalages in both the Workgroup Manager and Server App to create users and groups.
    Not sure if this why the problem occurred in the first place but at least I resolved it without any major problems.

    I have added one Image using value node and in get method I have given my image name, I also regenerated set, I and P method. I also moved the image in the configuration part.
    Now the Image is visble in the webui in editable mode.  But the requirement while opening any service order the image should be visble under the gernal data in disable mode.  While user selecting the edit button then only the image should be visible in the web ui.
    I tried to make this image in I Method, but I method is not triggered while debugging.  So kindly let me know how to overcome this issue.  Expecting your response ASAP.

    Did you try to use different image sources depending on the document process mode ?
    Exemple:
    1) If the document is in edit mode, then image source = 'your_image.jpg'
    2) If the document is in display mode, then image source = cl_thtmlb_util=>get_icon_url( iv_icon_name = '1x1.gif' )

    I hope u had gone to the screen fields which u want them not to be editable. So there u select all the fields contents which u do not want to to be changed and check the boxes with W.content and Display and save it. Once evrything is done u have to activate the particular transcation going in to the standard variants and put the name and click the activate button.

  • Content retrieved through RIDC after add/edit/delete is not updated

    There is a functionality such that a user is shown the content details like folder name and content under the folder name to be displayed on the portal.
    Basically, the metadata of the folder and content need to be displayed and add/edit/delete operations need to be available for the user.
    So any updates performed on the UCM content from the portal need to be updated on the UCM.
    To enable this functionality made use of the RIDC API. Everything as to content display, add/edit/delete operations are all working fine and getting updated on the UCM front also.
    But the issue is that after these operations being performed the user needs to be displayed updated content information on the portal. But while trying to retrieve the results using SEARCH RIDC Service, results are fetching the old data and hence the content information displayed on the page is also stale.
    While trying to hit the URL again i.e. a new request then the updated contents get dispalyed.
    Can anybody tell me what could be the issue? I am unable to understand the issue.
    All this has been done using taskflows.

    Most probably the content is not indexed in the interval when it is updated and then retrieved with search call . As a test , recreate the issue and then open UCM Web UI - Content Information (of the content updated / searched ) - check the Status value for the latest revision .
    Most likely it will be in Done status (if no conversion is being used) .
    Second time when you the actual correct data shows up then check the Status and there it would be in Released status .
    I believe that you are trying to search / display the content even before the new version is indexed and made available for search .

    If I am definining multiple DataSources of the same type (e.g. Peoplesoft Financials) so as to extract data from multiple source ERP systems into a single DataWarehouse, should I have to define separate Data Source Numbers for each source database ?
    I know the preseeded OBIA definitions provide different Data Source Number for Oracle Ebusiness Suite, Peoplesoft etc. But if I have the same ERP application and version in multiple source databases, how do I separate them ? Should I simply edit the Data Source Number and assign a new number to a new source ? Or do I have to copy some templates ?
    Referring to Section 3.1.6 of the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications Configuration Guide (7.9.6.1).

    Hemant,
    The purpose of DATASOURCE_NUM_ID is to identify which source it's from.
    In the Warehouse a combination of Integration_ID and DATASOURCE_NUM_ID defines the uniqueness.
    In your case the Source System and Verison is the same so its not required to have different DATSOURCE_NUM_ID
    but if for traceability you want to have one it then you can define it.
    My advise would be to have one Datsource Num ID as defined for your version and Source System.

    (1) I need to allow an end-user to be able to add comments to files either when they are added to a library or after they are added. I didn't see a Column available for adding to a Document Library for "Comments".
    (2) I need the same user to be able to add text/comments to the Header of the web-page that contains the library (above the library at the top of the screen).
    When I (the SP Admin) add the "Content Editor Web-Part" to the top of the web-page that contains the Document Library, the Toolbar disappears. The Content Editor Web-Part would be ideal to allow the end-user to add comments to the Header, but I
    really need the Toolbar available.
    Is there another Web-Part that I could use for allowing comments to be added to the Header of a web-page without disabling the Toolbar, or is there a known-fix for allowing the Toolbar to be available and functional after adding a Content Editor Web-Part?

    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to add Comments to Files in a Library and to the Header of the Web-Page.
    (1)If you use the document content type in the library, it will contain the “Comments” field automatically. When you add the document, you can enter the conments. You can also edit the “Comments” field after the document added.
    (2)If you add the add the "Content Editor Web-Part" to the AllItem.aspx Page, you can add the text to the web part as the Header.

    If this was me, I would just create a log in page. Set the users default access level to 0 and then go into the database and set your's to 1. From there, I would have a page that only is accessable to people with a user access level > 0 .
    On this second page, make a table where you can insert picture(s) of the house, as well as information about the house. Have this page insert records into a database.
    Finally, you will have your house listing on a page that is a dynamic table, which populates itself from the database of housing pictures and information.
    It involves some database work, but with the built in functions of Dreamweaver, it is simple. I would suggest however, that you store links to the pictures in your database as opposed to storing the actual picture, but that's more up to you.
    By doing all this, you have made it so at any time, your admin, and only the admin, can log in, upload pictures and information about a listing, and have it go live to the site.
