Percentage of Grand Total Per Detailed Row.

Hi All,
New to BI Pub and I am trying to go through the blogs and forums.
I have a question about how to insert % of grand total in a table.
I have the following requirements....
Group by: State
City | Sales | % of Grand Total Sales
Albany 100,000 10%
Buffalo 500,000 50%
New York City 400,000 40%
State Total <NY> 1,000,000
so on so forth....
Grand Total Sales 1,000,000
The summing of sales by state and grand total, i got so far.
I'm having trouble on % of Grand Total Sales by City.
For each city, i need % of the total sales.
How do I do that in an RTF template?

Hard to say without seeing some sample XML data. In principle...
<?SALES div sum(//SALES)?>
But you might want to use the ratio_to_report function in your query instead.

  • How to calculate Sub-Totals/Grand Totals on repeating row.

I have a this form that I need to calculate to produce a Sub-Total....  An end user can keep adding a line item but I would like to be able to add the amounts entered to calculate in a sub-total field.  So basically, I need help with the actual script that would total the amount calculated from a Quantity*Amount  which is -->"Sub Total" column then taking all of those to a new calculating script down to the "Sub-Total" field below it.  I probably should rename them because its too similar..  I've tried the recommended scripts from the forums but just could not get it to work.
Excuse my editing...but this is what it looks like.  If i need to clean it up so it looks more consistent please let me know if you have any advice.  I just started working on acrobat forms 2 days ago and my eyes have gone blurry from reading the help forums
and here's the javascript on my "Sub-Total" (Which should probably be renamed to "Total" and my "Total" to "Grand Total".  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

  • Wrong percentage publisher grand total

    Hi experts,
I have created a publisher report based in obiee answers analysis.
My problem is in percentage column, I don't want a sum of percentages. Is there any way to fix this?
I add an image to explain my problem:

    Thanks!!

    Ok!
I have created an analysis in obiee (answers)
This analysis has one dimension of two elements (Public and Private) and 3 measures (actual, previous, %)
Then I have create a report on Publisher based in obiee answers analysis.
    My report lookslike:
    -------------Actual-------Prev------%
    Private---100------------50--------100%
    Public----200-----------75---------166%
TOTAL---300-----------125-------140%     <--- Correct value is 140% but when I show TOTAL on PUBLISHER I see sum of values (100+166=266%)

  • Percentage calculation at Grand Total Level

    Hello,
I have issue in calculating the percentage at grand total level. I have three measures (A count, B count and Total count). These measures are defined in rpd with aggregation rule as sum. In answers i am calculating A % as 100*A count/Total Count. I have defined the aggregation rule for this percentage column as default. I am able to get correct % results for sub total level but getting wrong percentage values when Grand Total level is added. Going through some posts in this forum, people have suggested to enable this tag in instance config file.
    <ReportAggregateEnabled>true</ReportAggregateEnabled>
After adding this tag, i am able to get correct results. The issue is when there is no data i am able to see table view with all columns having blank values even though i have defined the no result view.
    Please Help

    HI,
For your CKF set exception aggregation as summation based on the last most characteristic in the row in the reference(as per the example it is product)

  • Percentage in Totals / Grand Totals

I have 2 columns on a report (in reports builder) that have numbers - total touched & total count. I am calculating the percentage done with the following formula: ROUND(((PP_TOUCHED / PP_TOTAL) * 100),2). This works fine for the detail lines, but I can't get the correct percentage in the grand totals.
Also, when I use the above formula and one of the numbers is zero, I get an error.

  • RE Invoice Grand total plus extra percentage

    Hi expert,
Does anyone know how to put 1% charges on Invoice grand total? I'm using classical Real estate module.
    Appreciated your help.
    Thank you in advance,
    Mahyuddin

    Hi Franz,
    We are rental & utility service provider which begin Feb 2012 the management decide to include  extra 1% charges on grand total (per invoice) as part of government contribution (not as gov service tax) to tenant. Therefore, that extra 1% must hit another G/L account (except current setting in account determination);
    example;
    Invoice 8xxxxx
    1.00OY0201.02         240 M3 x 0.49       117.6 MYR
    2.0AC02341.01         150 M3 x 0.13       19.50 MYR
    Total                                                         137.1 MYR
    1% (Contribution)                                         1.37   MYR
    Grand total                                               138.47 MYR
    1. How to config extra 1% charges?
    2. How to config that particular G/l and it becomes work like other account determination setting
    3. Any suggestion?
Thank you for your kindness in advance.

  • How to Display a Detailed Grand Total Column in Pivot Table

I have a pivot table that looks something like this:
I would like to display the 'Grand Total' column at the end so that it is separated by year, like this:
Is there a pivot table setting that would allow it to display this way? I've searched high and low but haven't found anything. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

You can add a calculated item to the pivot table to display grand totals by year:
    1.  First, turn off grand totals for rows and columns (PIVOTTABLE TOOLS > DESIGN tab > Layout group > Grand Totals > Off for Rows and Columns)
    2.  Click on the Price List (Invoice) field in the pivot table (hidden above the
Member field?).  You must click on the pivot table cell containing the field name for the entries "Member" and "Non-Member".
    3.  Add the calculated item (PIVOTTABLE TOOLS > ANALYZE tab > Calculations group > Fields, Items & Sets > Calculated item...
    4.  In the "Name:" box, type: Grand Totals
    5.  In the "Formula:" box, type: = Member + 'Non-Member'
    6.  Click the "Add" button, and then click "OK"

  • Pivot view grand total navigation

Users want to navigate on pivot view grandtotal to next level report based on grand total value.I can only do column heading and column value navigation as per my knowledge.Anyway these values are calculated on the fly and not stored in the database.Storing these totals seems to be impossible as this values change dynamically.
Do we have any alternate solution ?
If this was discussed in this forum before- my apologies as i coudn't find in search criteria.
    Thanks

This doesn't make sense to me. Why would you want to drill/navigate based on a grand total value? The value displayed in the grand total comprises individual rows summed up. Therefore, it is the rows that give the total significance. If it is an individual row that makes the total "something worth investigating," the user should click on a value. If the pivot table is one of many in the view, than each table has a common value (region, account number, product code, etc.). Use this value as the interactive value. These make more sense as link to a more detailed report.
Having said all that, please explain why it is essential that the grand total value be use as the link, because there just might be a good reason. But as far as I know, it can't be done.

  • How to set Grand Total of a Measure when its aggregation rule is Max in Logical Layer

    Hi
I have a Measure Column (Budget) and in Logical layer the aggregation rule is set as (Max) which looks like Max(Budget). But now it is included in the report and when my client is trying to see its grand total, it is giving the Max Budget figure of the report rather than giving the total sum(grand total).
Kindly share some ideas in achieving the grand total without disturbing the actual aggregation of the measure.

    Thank You for your reply.
In my case i don't have a problem with aggregation for Budget Measure(max(Fact_XXKC_SHIP_TO_BUDGET_CAT_F.SALESREP_BUDGET_YTD)). This is the aggregation rule applied on the Salesrep Budget YTD.
Now i created a report with columns
    Salesrepresntative(Dimension),, Sales Invoices(Measure1),, SALESREP_BUDGET_YTD(Measure 2).
In the above report the values are perfect, but when we used Grand total option at ROW level in table view, the grand total of Measure1 is cumulative of all the rows, but the Grand total of SALESREP_BUDGET_YTD (measure2) is the max of all the columns.
What i require is the Grand total of SALESREP_BUDGET_YTD (measure 2) should be cumulative of all the columns.
I have shared my SQL query, kindly verify it and share any idea.

  • Need urgent Help on Grand Totals

    Hi gurus,
I have a problem with a crosstab report I'm working on. I have a calculated column based on a pre-summed column. The formula is CASE WHEN material_size_num IN ('97', '93', '92') THEN material_qty_sum*1.5)
I have created grand totals for the rows and columns. My problem is that the grand total for the column does not have total of all 'grand totals'. My report looks like the following:
Case statement col1., Case statement col2., Total col1+col2
(total) (total) (total does not appear).
I would appreciate any suggestions. I have tried using cell sum, but that has not worked

    Hi Melanie,
When I use Sum all datapoints the sum for that column doesn't appear. I have to put Sum "adjusted qty" (my calculated column) to show any totals. I'm wondering if it's an issue with the CASE statement I'm using. This problem seems to occur whenever I use a decode or CASE statement. Have you any similar experiences?
    Thanks for your help

  • Currency symbol only for grand total.

    Hi,
My requirement is i want currency symbol $ only for grand total, all the rows in that column do not have the symbol.
    I need some your help.
    Thank you.

Although I couldn't understand why you dont want currency format in rows, here is my suggestion.
    Create your report as
    1 dim1.column1 dim2.column2 Measure.Revenue ......... You will get values as below
    1 Value1 Dim2Val1 100
    1 Value2 Dim2Val2 200
    1 Value2 Dim2Val3 300
    UNION
    2 'Grand Total' ' ' Measure.Revenue
Final result will be as below
    1 Value1 Dim2Val1 100
    1 Value2 Dim2Val2 200
    1 Value2 Dim2Val3 300
    2 Grand Total 600
Now apply conditional formatting for dim1.column1 in criteria and make the values Bold
Apply conditional formatting for Measure.Revenue and select Currency in number format.
Let me know if it was helpful or you were looking for something else.
    Thanks

  • Inserting total column and row

    Hello All,
I'm new to WebI and BOBJ and I'm having some issue with my first report.  I've tried searching the forum for this same issue (or something similar) and came across nothing.  Any help is greatly appreciated!
I'm having a problem inserting a Grand Total column and row to my report. Here's a sample layout of my report:
    *Tech Type | Project | Role | Key Fig1 | Key Fig 2 | Key Fig 3 | Key Fig 4|*
    Proj 1
    Subtot
    Proj 2
    Subtot
    etc
In one tab the key figures are grouped by month and I also created four tabs (one tab for each key figure) that lists the key figures by month.
What I wish to do is insert one row at the end of the report which sums the key figures vertically and a column that adds the key figures horizontally.  I've tried to do SUM but that inserts a row/column after every key fig. I've also tried to do a count and insert a SUM formula with the same effect (a row/column is inserted after every key figure).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Joaquim M.

    Joaquim,
Through your posting it's hard to visualize what is happening, other than you are not satisfied with the results.  Here are the steps for adding a sum to a horizontal grid with perhaps two columns of information (month, figures).  After the grid is presented, left-click once on the data of figures (do not click on the header cell of figures, click on any cell just below the header).  Once you left-click the column will appear with a "grey" highligting.  Next is to click on the "sigma" icon drop-down and choose "Sum".  Once you click sum a new row at the very bottom of your grid should appear, summarizing [figures].
    Thanks,
    John

  • Grand total level of the percentage column giving value from the first row of column

    Hi Guys,
I have a requirement like to show the percentage value which the calculation of two columns , in the grand total level .
I think it can be achievaable by giving the aggregation rule for that column as Server complex Aggregate .
    eg.
Fiscal Year  Department  subdepartment   Total cost     Sub Department cost     % cost
    2011           Edu             Books                 500              50                               10
    2011           Edu             Note Book           200            100                                50
    2011           Edu             Furniture             300             30                                 10
    2011            Edu                                      1000           180                              18
    Grand Total
Ideally it should come like as above ..but the problem with me that ,it showing correct value for  all the rows ,but at the grand total level it's taking the value of % cost from the first row . like below..
    2011           Edu                                   1000                  180                         10
    Grand Total
I have calculated the % cost column in the answer itself  as (Sub Department cost /Total Cost )
    where the
Aggregation rule for the columns given are
Total Cost - Sum  ,Sub Dep Cost -  Sum, % Cost - Server Complex Aggregate
So plz suggest me any Idea to achieve this ..Thanks in advance.

Give the agg. as avg for % field.
    Best of Luck,
    Kashi
