Performance Appraisal - Processing of rejected document

Hello
If part appraisers are utilized for an appraisal form and the appraisal is rejected, can the appraisal be directed to a specific part appraiser? If so, how can this be setup. If not, how does it work from a process stand point.
Please advice. Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
This can be achieved.
Try the following way. Assume that the part appraiser sequnce is 1->2->3 and then final appraiser. If the rejection has happened, then the appraisal document has to be available to say Part appraiser 3.
For this u need to create a new rule in Tcode PFAC. Just clone any of the standard rule from OOHAP_BASIC and create a rule and code in the Z function module as per your requirement.
Now after doing this add the new custom rule to OOHAP_BASIC.
Also add the rule to the category group, category and template in PHAP_CATALOG.
Then in the flow logic of the template, after the complete button is pressed, make sure the person authorized is the new rule which u have created.
Hope this helps you.

Subbu.

  • Performance Management EHP4 Flexible Appraisal Process

    Hi
We are in the process of building Performance Management using Enhancement Package 4 in ECC 6.0 in our test system.  We have activiated flexible appraisal process and have completed the necessary config for ESS and MSS and appraisal template.
The MSS user can create the appraisal and define the objectives etc.  The ESS user can view the appraisal but cannot add comments.  On checking the appraisal template we have created a criteria for employee comments and an element called additional comments the tab 'element access' has been marked against the employee as follows:
    Participant = Employee
    Plan:Access = Change
    Review Access = Change
    Completed = Display
So we do not know why the ESS user cannot add comments.
Can anyone help on this issue?
    Many thanks
    Julie

Many thanks for this - we have checked the template level and have the column access for column 'objectives' (which is what is used at element level for appraisee comments) and if we change the column owner to 'appriaser and appraisee' it works for the appraisee but  not for the appraiser.  So we have a choice either it is set to appraiser and it works fine for the manager or we change it to appraisee and appraiser and it works fine for the ESS user.
Perhaps there is something else we need to check?

  • Flexible appraisal processes & predefined Performance Management process.

    Good Night.
What is the diference between Flexible appraisal processes & predefined Performance Management process and in what case i have that use it?
    Kind Regards-

    Hi Juan,
Flexible Appraisal Porcess- As the name suggest you have the flexibilty to design your apparisal templates using the functionalities provided by SAP.
For eample: Using transaction PHAP_Catalog_PA or OOAM, you can design your apparsail template.
Predefined Appraisal Template: Again as the name suggest, SAP has pre-designed the strucure for defining the appraisal template. After clicking on the tab for Predefined appraisal process in IMG node, you will follow the number of screens in sequece.
Excellent material is available on SAP Servicemarketplace for Performance Appraisal in EHP4. Please check the link below:

  • Predefined Performance Management process Issues

    Hello
    1. Is it possible for the High level managers to have a display access to employee's appraisal documents in PMP (Predefined Performance management)?
    2. Is it possible for Further participants (such as dotted line managers, etc) to participate in Appraisal process for PMP. I tried using Part Appraisers. But the Part Appraisers are only getting access while appraisal status is In process - Part Appraisal". We want these Part Appraisers / Further participants to get access to employee's appraisals starting from Goal Planning status.
    3. We wanted to add additional Criteria Groups (VB) to the PMP Appraisal Template. I have added a Project Goals Criteria Group. But that's not being shown in PMP web interface (although it is being shown in Flex-Form).
I have been realizing that the PMP, which is very good web design does not have ANY flexibility to change Template or process.
The Flexi-Form, which is very flexible in terms of Template Design, does not offer the Goal Cascading functionality and Competency Goals functionality.
I am surprised that the PMP is very un-flexible (contrary to what SAP advertised).
Any suggestions for my above 3 problems?
    Thanks
    Raghu Kolukuluri

    Hi Wim:
Thanks for taking the time to read through my rambling and for responding.
I guess the point of what I was trying to get at is why it would be an unlikely scenario to put the configuration for predefined into PHAP_CONFIG and then let you modify it to suit the whim of your customer.
My intention was not to suggest the impossibility of integrations in the flexible template.  There are certainly enhancements to accomplish integration with the Qualification catalog and LSO, and even the old school Development Plans that virtually no one uses.
However, as someone who has seen Predefined in a production environment; I have to tell you, I do disagree that the alignment of goals is the only 'functionality' piece missing from Flexible.  A quick summary of other items missing out of the box:
    - Potential Assessment
    - Calibration with drag & drop capability of entire team
    - Integration with the Talent Profile - Assessments tab
    - Target rating distribution %
    - Profile matchups to positions other than the employee's own position
That obviously excludes the UI stuff that's been addressed above.  These things above come in Predefined automatically with literally no work other than what basically is equivalent to a configuration wizard.
Now, could you create that in Flexible?  Sure, anything's possible with enough time and money, right?  You can certainly dig into the code and create equivalent custom code for your Flexible template.  But like I noted above, it certainly appears to at least me that SAP has continued improving Predefined in EhP5 and made no improvements to Flexible.  So in my opinion you run the risk of creating something supremely custom for your customer in order to satisfy some requirement like 1 over 1 approval of a final rating.  Then, when EhP6 or whatever comes out, the customer decides they want to start leveraging those Predefined improvements, they've painted themselves into a corner of sunk costs, or continuing to customize Flexible.
To me, that doesn't seem like a good solution, especially for a business unit like HCM that really doesn't generate revenue.  I elluded to this in an earlier post, but I really like that Predefined has a process already built into it.  It's not like SAP made that up from nowhere, they presumably built that from feedback they'd gotten from customers, along with feedback that it was frustrating how much time and money it costs to build an appraisal system that - while necessary in the corporate world - generates no revenue for the company.
Let me know what you think though.  I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Chris
Edit: I have no idea why the formatting won't hold.  It doesn't look this bad when I edit it, sorry

  • Predefined appraisal process and flexible appraisal process

    Hello
I read the new presentation about the New in Performance Management (SAP enhancement package 4
For SAP ERP 6.0) I don't understand the connection between predefined appraisal process and flexible appraisal process.
Can I use these 2 processes together?
Is the new "Predefined Performance Management Process: Calibration"  work with flexible appraisal process  or this is 2 different system and process?
For example This process of predefined appraisal compare "final appraisal" of workers. Where this "final appraisal"   is stored . In which question of the appraisal form ?
In the presentation Sap wrote "Team calibration based on overall appraisal". What is "overall appraisal"  in  terms of appraisal form ?

    Hi,
    so to answer your questions:
Can I use these 2 processes together?
No these are 2 different functionalities. The reason they were delivered at the same time is because they are using the same technology (web dynpro)
Thus the 'calibration' which is designed for Predefined does not exist for Flexibe.
So with EHP4 SAp delivered the new Predefined functionality
and the Flexible which is basically the same functionality as before but using web dynpro instead of BSP page.
Regarding "Team calibration based on overall appraisal". This functionality allows manager to compare the individual appraisal documents of the employees that reports to him.
You can find some more information on these fucntionalities in SAP help link below

  • Performance Appraisal: Automatic updation in case of Manager's Transfer

    Dear All,
In performance appraisal Manager(n) is Appraiser and Manager's Manager(n1)  is included as further participant so that he can view appraisals of all employees who indirectly report to him. Now whenever this higher Manager (n1) is transferred new manager coming in can not view appraisals of his new department automatically. To enable this we update this further participant list manually of all old appraisal forms of his employees. Is there a way to do this automatically as such cases are quite a few and doing this manually is very time consuming.
    Thank You.

i havent seen any automatic update
in general if an employee changes the manager, the old manager
should be replaced in the document as well by the new manager to get
    access to the entire document.
I would suggets to replace the appraiser in the documnet e.g. by
transaction PHAP_ADMIN so that the new manager sees the entire
    document.
    scenarios could be
solved using BAdI HRHAP00_ACC_HEADER. It'll enable you to change the
appraiser of the created appraisal documents when manager has been
    changed.

  • Workflow for Predefined Performance Management Process

    Hi All,
We are in process of implementing Predefined Performance Management to our client, as I know we donu2019t have workflow for predefined performance management, but I saw below thread:
Performance Management Process - Workflow between participants
Please give me more clarification about configuration of Workflow for PMP, we need e-mail notifications only when ever manager is going to do some status change like approve planning phase, reject planning phase etc.
We are expecting these notifications not through portal only employees e-mail account, can you tell me where the location of the configuration is?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Abhi

    Hi,
The pre-defined is not ment for changing by anyone. The template is generated and the settings are as is. You would need to go to the phap_catalog to change the template (but that option is disabled for PMP templates). Theoritically you would need to change the status flow tab and select the correct workflow there. The information workflow is standard delivered for use in the flexible one.
So, yes you probably are able with tricks to get it working in PMP but it is not supported by SAP.

  • Appraisal process roadmap does not appear

    Hi Guys,
When we open an employee's appraisal document via ESS or MSS, the 'appraisal process roadmap' / 'appraisal document header' is not appearing. The area that corresponds to this header is blank. Rest all is fine. Can you guys please let me know if there is anything that needs to be done from my side. We are on EhP5.
    Thanks,
    Ranjith

    Hi Siddhartha,
I wanted to know whether there is an Authorization Object fir Displaying the Process Roadmap on portal.
I have configured it for a form and assigned the standard role to the user. The form is visible, but not the process roadmap.
When i assign sap_all to the user, the roadmap is displayed.
Can you help me with this?

  • Interactive Adobe form for performance appraisal

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to create Interactive Adobe Form for Performance appraisal? I understand that the appraisal template varies company to company.Does it affect the Form? Can we update the infotype 0025 ( Appraisals where appraisee /Appraisals where appraiser tab) ? Please advice on this.

    Hi,
We had the same question sometime back. This is what we found
    1. Users will not finish Performance Apprisal document in one session, they will complete partially and then comback another day to complete it.
    2. IT25 is not like normal infotype, it might be challenging to update it with BAPI/RFCs.
These two issues stopped us from doing Adobe interactive forms (PCR like) for Performance apprisal.

  • Column sorting in Performance appraisal

    HELLO,
                  please help me with this...
I am preparing performance appraisal template, the problem is i want the columns to be in order for example: 1. perspective, 2. wightage, 3. target.. but i am unable to do this, i tried and the document is showing 1. weitage, 2. target and last perspective.
    please help me with this.....

    Hi,
in the 'Column' - tab of your appraisal - template, there's an overview of all selected columns in your template.
To the right of this, you've an up- and down-arrow, which enables you to change the column - sorting.
    Wilfred.

  • Appraisal Process

Created and added to a customizing transport request in the Dev the following configurations for the yearly Appraisal process:
Basic settings via OOHAP_Basic,  updated table for Dev Objects, created and updated ratings scales and the homepage configurations
Created Appraisal Template via PHAP_CATALOG and did portal configurations via navigation IMG->Personnel Management->Personnel Development->Objective Setting and Appraisals->Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template ( no transport requests created).
Now I need to move these configurations to Quality System for testing. 2 questions:
    1) How to move these configurations created with and without customizing request?
    2) What is the best way to do testing for Appraisal process, as you know, we need to delete appraisal documents, each time we need to set the Appraisal Template Status to "unreleased".
I will reuest you to please share only the tried and tested method to avoid confusion.

    Hello,
    1.  Regarding category and category group, the practice that I followed was to manually make the config in category in the QA system.  I think this method is flawed as there is manual work involved.  I think a workaround (or this might be the actual method) is to make changes in these t-codes OOHAP_CAT_GROUP and OOHAP_CATEGORY just like OOHAP_BASIC and move the transports to the QA system.  After the transport, you can upload the template. Worth giving a try.
    2. Local system here means the C drive or your desktop. Just like you download an attachment from your email.  Just right click on the template and click on Download.  It will give a popup to save the file in I guess XML format.  Now login to your QA system and on the category, right click and UPLOAD option should bring popup to open file for upload. Just select the file from your desktop or the downloaded location. Do a consistency check.
    3. This query will need more inputs from other gurus.
    Hope its clear now.
    Best Regards.
    Karan.

  • Performance Appraisal Audit?

We are on version 4.7 and have been using the Performance Appraisal functionality since go-live in mid 2005. One of our departments has recently noticed that many of the documents that have been created are now missing, as in deleted, gone! It seems to have only impacted one department, and it is very inconsistent as to which ones are gone. Does anyone know of an audit report that will help us understand what has happened? Since it is such an isolated problem, I don't think it's a system issue. Infotypes 24 and 25 are not turned on for logging changes, so S_AHR_61015505 doesn't pick up anything.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Thanks for the response. I have tried using that transaction, but I am still unable to see the documents. I know they were there since we can still see them in out Q client.

  • HR:Performance Appraisal:Can we Hide Prior Year Plans

Is it possible to hide prior year performance appraisal plans from the Self service Talent Management Task List through personalization.
If so How to accomplish ?.
    Regards,

Q.1 If an appraisal form has been started for an employee and employee leaves the company, what should be done with the form as a best business practice? How is it best achieved?
<i>A: There is no recommended procedure on how performance appraisals of terminated employees can be handled.  Users can continue to leave the appraisal form in the current state.
Alternatively, they could also "force change" the status to completed for terminated employees after a period of time.  This will terminate any active workflows last triggered upon between the ex-employee and the manager</i>
Q.2 If an employee changes managers during the year all managers must be included in the appraisal process. Can this be done automatically? If so, should they be part appraisers?
<i>A. Standard SAP seems not to cater for automated manager / appraiser change in the header when the employee switches manager.
One possible best practice you may want to consider is to activate the "change header" functionality for the appraisee to change the name of the manager themselves.  Alternative, the task can be assigned to the appraisals administrator.</i>
