Performance Appraisal Rating Scale.
Hi Friends ,
Want to know that is there any place where we can define the year relevance for the Rating Scales and Rating scale text ? My client want some changes in Rating scale text for 2010 Appraisal and this changes should not effect previous appraisal document. I know oohap_value_type is for Rating scale.

Hi SP,
Once u define your Rating scale in SPRO->PM->PD->Appraisal systems-> Define Scales, goto your appraisal template using transaction code PHAP_catalog_pa or OOAM.
At the category level, goto tab Value List and select the newly defined rating scale.
Now the new rating scale will also be available for you to use for elements in the appraisal template

I can't quite fiture out in which screen we attach a performance rating scale name to a CWB program o Plan.
In other workds, how does CWB know which Performance Rating scale to use?

Rating scale does not appear in Pre-defined Performance Mgmt Wizard
Hi Experts,
I am implementing SAP Pre-defined Performance template.
When configuring IMG entry u201CDefine Templates for Performance Managementu201D I run the wizard for Performance, and when I get to the rating the only options that are presented are SAP standard delivered values e.g. Standard Quality Scale 1-5, Standard Quality Scale 0-10, Standard Quality Scale 1-3, Standard Quality Scale 1-3.
Now I have previously configured rating scale Team Performance with rating values
1-below expectations
2-meets expectations
3-exceeds expectations
However, this rating scale does not appear in the dropdown list to select from.
Please can someone explain what could be missing or if they had this issue before and were able to solve this.

I checked transaction OOHAP_BASIC and my scale is already valid within the Value List.
There are many other scales in our system within this value list but only the entries I mentioned previously are available in the Pre-defined performance wizard.
Do you have any other suggestions on why the system would not allow my scale rating to be selected from the pre-defined performance template as part of the wizard setup?

1) We are implementing SSHR, they are doing objective based and competency based performance appraisal. Also giving different ratings for objectives and competency. At the time of annual appraisal, system should combine both ratings of objectives and competency. Is it standard facility? If not, how can we achieve this?
2) Our client is using Oralce Portal. Is it possible to keep iRecruitment External Candidate responsbility in one of the portlets in oracle portal?

We are implementing Oracle Human Capital Management(Oracle Talent Management) for a client and there are some issue that look tricky
1. The client performs appraisal 4 times in a year: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4
2. The client promotes staff 2 times in a year in Q2 and Q4
3. To calculate the final Rating for Q2 appraisal, the Final Rating of Q1 appraisal is referenced as an input e.g. Q2 Final Rating = ((Competence + Objective)/2 +(Q1 Final Rating)/4 )
4. To calculate the final Rating for Q4 appraisal, the Final Rating of Q3 appraisal is referenced as an input e.g. Q4 Final Rating = ((Competence + Objective) /2 +(Q3 Final Rating)/4 )
What we have done
================
1.I have created a Performance Management Plan attaching 4 differnt appraisals representing Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4
2.(Not really done yet) In the fast formula that calculates the appraisal Final Rating, IF statement will be used to determine if appraisal is Q1, Q2, Q3,or
Q4 and appropriate calculation carried out as stated above
My Questions

1. How do I bypass the use of the Seeded Rating Scale method used (often called Final Rating Scale) in calculating the Final Rating of employee appraisal ?
I will actually like to be able to do and form of arithmetic with the competence and the objective scores in order to arrive at Final score.
2. How do I reference the past appraisals in a present appraisal period (through a fast formula). What database item to use if any?
3. As Anand mentioned, the seeded fast formula that calculates the Final Rating (precisely SUM_COMP_AND_OBJ or AVG_COMP_AND_OBJ ) will have to be customised. How do we do this customization because I think it will go beyond just modifying the fast formula and attaching it in the appraisal template.

Rating Scale is not Showing Up in Predefined PMP
Hi All,
I am new to This Performance Management Configuration, so far i resolved few issues with help of SDN.
Now i am configuring Predefined Performance Management Templates, when i was configuring i have to assign/attache rating scale to goals.
I configured my OWN Rating Scale using this transaction code: OOHAP_VALUE_TYPE based on my client requirement to attach to goals, but i am not able to see my OWN rating scale in the drop down but i am able to see only default rating scale which was provided by SAP.
Can you someone please tell me do i need to configure any thing more to see my own rating scale to attache Predefined Performance Management templates.

my existing rating scale that was define last year had 9 levels now i want to add one more level in and make it 10 but when i am trying to do so on the
Career Management >Rating Scale window
system gives me the following error:
APP-PAY-51480: You cannot add/delete a level that is used as a general rating scale for a competence.

Just want to get little more clarification, there is a file that has been given to us and the user wants me to upload the Overall Rating into the system for all employees from year 2009 to end of 2010 so plz i beg you if some one can really help me with this as i am totally confused, don't know how to load the Overall Rating for each employee?

Adding a box in Portal for Performance appraisal template
Dear Experts,
We have already released a performance appraisal template and its in production use for a while now.
Now, client wants to add 1 box titled 'Managers comment'. Since its already released template I cant make changes in it and add a criteria in the form of 'Managers Comment'. What is the solution? Is there a way by which we can make this box appear in portal through coding? This change is required in a template which is in use. We cant create a new template.
I know there is a note to make changes to released appraisal template but as its risky I dont want to use it.
Please advise.you cant make changes to released template, if you do also, new changes wont be shown

Performance Appraisal: Automatic updation in case of Manager's Transfer

In performance appraisal Manager(n) is Appraiser and Manager's Manager(n1) is included as further participant so that he can view appraisals of all employees who indirectly report to him. Now whenever this higher Manager (n1) is transferred new manager coming in can not view appraisals of his new department automatically. To enable this we update this further participant list manually of all old appraisal forms of his employees. Is there a way to do this automatically as such cases are quite a few and doing this manually is very time consuming.

should be replaced in the document as well by the new manager to get
access to the entire document.
I would suggets to replace the appraiser in the documnet e.g. by
transaction PHAP_ADMIN so that the new manager sees the entire

I am using the rating scale and want to include a text field for additional information. Ideally I'd like the scale with the text field to the right but otherwise it could go underneath. However, I don't want to have to keep repeating the scale. Any ideas on whether this is possible or if there is a work around?

I am guessing you would like to add additional information to each of the questions in your ratings scale right? Assuming that is the case, we don't really have a work-around, I think you'd have to create a Rating Scale field followed by a multi-line text field and then copy and paste and modify that for each of your questions. Let me know if I didn't understand fully and feel free to add a feature idea to our ideas page:

I would like to create a survey using rating scales.
Q1: How do I get a page summing the results?
Q2: Is it possible to have questions in categories and have the response to that question stored in that category.
Example: 4 kinds of questions, 40 questions in total, all questions mixed.
When a question from category 1 is answered, the result is stored in the results of category 1.

Rating Scale: Likert Question
Hi
I've been able to change the options available, and even delete options I don't want included in the scale.
Why does a number appear in the scale?
E.G. My options are:
Most prefer
Somewhat prefer
Neutral
But when I look at the quiz slide, it's become:
1. Most prefer
2. Somewhat prefer
3. Neutral
I don't want the numbers at all, or if I need it for scoring in the LMS, I don't want the numbers displayed on the slide. I can't see where to turn this off or on.

AnitaThe rating scale can't support multiple selections per row. You would have to use the multiple choice field (though its not a table layout).
