Permanent(ish) frameset and button text colour
hi i have just got dreamweaver and have a few problems
firstly i would like a webpage where the top and left frames are always the same but i have different pages for the main frame as you can see in the badly drawn picture below(sorry about how bad it is)
my second problem is when i use the spry menu bar and try to change the text colour and font of it only the ones with links below it are changing how can i fix this?

I have turned off all addons/extensions/plugins - still the same problem:
1: Text input boxes appear to be the same colour as the background - and hence "invisible"
2: Clickable buttons on websites are often invisible, or if they display have no text; e.g. button to right of google search ("go" button?) is seen as a plain box with no text - although button is clickable.
3: Google webpage usually has an image - this is missing, and merely has "UK" to the top left of the input box.
4: On this page for example I can see directly above this text box two vertical black lines - it appears to be a button with a pop-up "insert a link" - it can obviously be clicked when I mouse over it.See:

Changing text colour in Pages for ios...button missing
I'm trying to find a way to change text colour in a document, -all available information states that there is a button, with an i on it (info button) to adjust settings such as font colour, that button is mysteriously absent for me.

I do have various formatting option with the buttons I have on mine, but not any that will allow me to format the text colour i.e the instructions available to me tell me to press a nonexistent button.

Any help would be much appreciated.I could not get your links to show me what you were looking for, but I just opened pages and figured out how to change font color. I am using the most current version of pages for its, so I don't know if this works on older versions.
If I screw the instructions up, simply open a document in pages, touch the wrench then help, and search for color. Then look in the style section.
Anyway. Highlight the text you want to be in a different color. Touch the paintbrush looking icon in the tool bar. The touch style. Then touch the name of the font. ( or change the font). A color setting will appear. Pick what you want. -

With each new version of Firefox, I run into the same issue with Amazon.ca (amazon.com works fine). For instance, on Amazon.COM the links for my account and help are stated as "Your Account | Help". On amazon.CA the links for my account and help are stated as "your-account_279 | topnav-help_1057".
When I log into my account on Amazon.COM I have a web page with text and buttons and links. all functioning. When I log into my account on Amazon.CA I get nothing except two orange buttons - "Your Orders" and "sell my stuff". everything else is blank.
This has happened with each upgrade of Firefox. It seems that Amazon.CA finally gets their coding right and FF comes out with a new version which then screws the website up. are you making your upgrades available to Amazon.CA?
And just so you know, The same thing happens on IE and Chrome.* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Write a custom carousel. Usually carousel components are just ULs that use something like jQuery to rotate through the LIs. The foundation carousel component is really just designed for some specific use cases. Generally I would just recommend rolling your own.

Since upgrading to iOS7 some text messages are not being sent on my iPhone 5, iMessage on my Ipads and MacBook doesn't have my phone number registered and my reminder colour on my Iphone keeps changing ... among other things. Any suggestions to fix these faults?
Make sure People Sending you via iMessage are sending their messages on your PHONE number not on your EMAIL addresses . My sister had the same problem, thats how i managed to solve it!

Adding Scrollbar and buttons to Dynamic Text
Hello,
I am trying to connect dynamic text to scrollbar and buttons. I did tutorial and Lynda.com and practically pasted the code in with my file names and for some reason it does not work. It says I have a "Access of Undefined Property mask_mc" Did I need to create a variable for this? I didn't in the tutorial.
Right now I have the dynamic text loading successfuly in 2 different places and I wantd to add the scrollbar. I put the variables on frame 1 code and then I put the actually load code on the frame where it is needed.
Any suggestions?

Maybe I am asking this question wrong. Instead of making you try and figure out what's going on in my file what I really need to know is how you would take this code I am attaching and make it happen on another frame besides frame 1 and it doesn't appear on frame 1. I think this may help me understand a little better.
Also another way I was thinking to get around this would be to pull in an external swf into the spot where I want this text to go because I can make the scrollbars and external text work when it is the only thing going on in the movie. Would this be a bad way to set this up? and also SInce it is an external movie would I have maintimeline issues with mouse/scroller control?

Right to Left glitch in Photoshop CS6, and NO Text direction button.
On a windows 7 machine I am having issues with Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64 Extended writing in the wrong direction, its goinf RTL instead of LTR. And the Text direction button that is suppsed to be in the Paragraphs palette is missing. I deleted preferences twice and that didnt change anything. I switched back and forth between Midles Eastern and East Asian, and that did nothing as well. I look at my laptop MBP (MAC OS X 10.6), which has PS CS6 Extended 13.0.5 x64, and I dont have the problem with it being locked in RTL, however, my laptop doesnt have the text direction button either, and doing the previous methods did not give me that option. Is there something special I have to download in order to get it or something?

Just so you know I hav read this thread, and tried all of the Methods and NONE of them worked for EITHER Operating System.
Also here is a Video for Windows 7 and a video for MAC OS X and the do opposite methods switching to either to East Asian or Middle East(both videos do the oppposite).I am now thinking it might be a license thing, but I would like someone from Adobe to confirm this (and possible explain why this is). I am a student, and I use the student license, furthermore the Windows 7 PC I was using was a school computer which is using an educational liscense(all of the computers at school which use and Educational Volumne License are missing this Text Direction button). However another student has the full version and has the Text direction, and when he makes files and brings them school, sometimes his files gives an error when he opens it and it says this photohosp file was made with a different text engine, and then procedes to get stuck in RTL. He has Windows 8 PC and the full version of PS CS6, that is the only reason I think of that is different.

Create a button with an advanced action to start a video and associated text on the timeline.
I need help. I have a video on a slide that I want to start only when the learner clicks a Play Video button. When that button is clicked, the video should start and the associated text captions with their timings should start then as well. Is this possible with advanced actions? If so, can anybody help me with those actions?
The slide would work like this:
Upon entry to the slide, narration is playing, and a text box appears on the screen. It tells them to "click the play video button to begin". Nothing should happen until they click the play video button.
When they click the button, the advanced action would start the video, and the associated text boxes appear as each "step" in the video goes by. It's a procedure with step by step instructions.You are very correct. I am making it too complicated! I believe I will do exactly what you said. If I still want to have a button that says Play Video, I could just have that button advance to the next slide. The learner will probably not even know they are on a different slide. Thanks for making me see that clearly. Sometimes I get too caught up in trying to do something one way. Thanks for the help!

DelonBeen having the same issues with a couple of my clients...They are getting fairly irritated just trying to read the CAPTCHA, so I did some digging and came across this company located in Cali..Confident Technologies and they look like they are just getting started but seem to have a pretty good solution..I tried it and was impressed.

DGYou can also customize a slide control to look like radio buttons. You can control the text labels and the number of element through a property (by changing the scale properties). If you really want it to look like radio buttons, you can try ripping the images from the dialog radio button. Also, to save some time, you can get the OpenG buttons package, which includes a slide customized to look like radio buttons. The main problem with this is that changing the number of items does not change the size of the control and that makes the dot filling the radio buttons look compressed.
Another option is to create an array of radio buttons, but then you will have to handle the logic yourself.

Hi Lecia,
You have several choices.
Use the first set of controls in the Format Bar. One of these is a Color well (red in the image). Select the cell(s) in which you want the text coloured, then click the well to open its Color palette, and choose your colour.
Use the Text Inspector. Open the inspector, click the Text button (T), and use the tools there (similar to the set in the Format Bar).
Press command-T to open the Fonts Window. This offers a few more options than are available in the Inspector or the Format bar.
Regarding "Help": I'd recommend using the Numbers '09 User Guide, which you can download via the Help menu. Easier to search, and easier reading than the individual Help articles. search 'text color' to quickly get to instructions on applying colour to text.

Okay I have been working on C3 for 2 months. Subscribed to
Lynda.com...ran tutorials checked every help link. The Fireworks
Help function stinks. Editing button symbols, here's what you get
when you querie button text.

Just fabulous, really.....How? Adobe tells me that it can be
done.....just not how.
I import a 3 position button from the library. I use the 9
slice tool to set the button size, enter the text in the properties
box. Tried to change the font, style or even use the fonts in the
styles tab....no luck. I'm just
trying to make a few buttons for a web page, why is it soo
hard? Why does the help link not walk you
