Permission Denied when calling a method from VB using WebLogic 8.1.2 JCOM
Hi,
We are calling an java/ejb methods from VB using WebLogic JCOM 8.1 SP2. But
using JCOM, we are getting a error Permission denied when called from VB. We think
that we should update pathch jintegra 2.0 or 2.1 in WebLogic 8.1.2 the to solve
this issue, because we faced the same problen "permission denied" when we used
JINTEGRA(third party software). Once we installed the JINTEGRA 2.1 it solved the
issue.
So, can anyone help on regard to this issue of "Permission denied" in WebLogic
JCOM 8.1 SP2.
Thanks & Regards
Raghu
I too am experiencing the jCOM error: "Run-time error '70': Permission Denied". The problem appears to be related to a Microsoft Security Patch KB835732 (MS04-011 which, as you indicated, has been fixed in J-Integra v2.1 (FYI, jCOM 8.1 is based on J-Integra 1.5.4, see J-Integra/jCOM versions.
Did you ever get a resolution concerning 8.1 SP2? 8.1 SP3 is available now but I don't see any mention of jCOM updates in the WebLogic 8.1 What's New documention. I can't immediately upgrade (trying to stay on same version as a few other developers I work with) but I am hoping it is resolved in SP3.

Can't add list element when calling a method from another class
I am trying to call a method in another class, which contains code listmodel.addElement("text"); to add an element into a list component made in that class.
I've put in System.out.println("passed"); in the method just to make sure if the method was being called properly and it displays normally.
I can change variables in the other class by calling the method with no problem. The only thing I can't do is get listmodel.addElement("text"); to add a new element in the list component by doing it this way.
I've called that method within it's class and it added the element with no problem. Does Java have limitations about what kind of code it can run from other classes? And if that's the case I'd really like to know just why.There were no errors, just the element doesnt get added to the list by doing it this way
class showpanel extends JPanel implements ActionListener, MouseMotionListener {
framepanel fp = new framepanel();

fp.addLayer();

Standard output when calling a method from a jar
I have a question about obtaining standard output from a call to a method in a jar. I understand that a) and b) below are equivalent, but how do I get the output that the java call produces when I call SugarMain.decode in a java program? In other words, where does the output from SugarMain.decode go and is that equivalent to the standard output from the java SugarMain -decode call? I obtained the jar from http://bach.istc.kobe-u.ac.jp/sugar/ which has no user support.
Thank you,
Richard Becraft
a) SugarMain.decode("sugar5400.out", "sugar5400.map");
b) java SugarMain -decode sugar5400.out sugar5400.map

aWithout knowing anything about SugarMain it is difficult to answer your question.
It may help to know that there is nothing inherently different about classes referenced from jar files then classes referenced from loose class files. The specifies on how to get the output of SugarMain.decode() is dependent on SugarMain.decode().
You say that there is no user support but is there any documentation or source files or samples. If the answer is "No" to all of those, it may be that you lose. -
I am new to DAQmx and .NET.
In my application I need to activate a clock out on counter 2 (HW pci 16 E 4).
I went through all the steps like the sampling examples but instead of Analog input
I used counter output , and setup the pulse ratios.
When I click the switch in the user interface ( a user control databinded to the clock output)
the output works. Since I need to activate it programmatically I tried to call the daQmxUserControl11.Start()
method but this causes the following error :
An unhandled exception of type 'NationalInstruments.DAQmx.DaqException' occurred in nationalinstruments.daqmx.dll
Additional information: Specified operation cannot be performed while the task is running.

Any ideas on what am I doing wrong?
Thanks DavidThanks a lot,
I also discovered that dragging the user control onto my user interface doesn't allow alternate activation.

Calling the routines as indicated in the header comments also gave some hiccups ( I had to remark some code to get the system working progrtammatically.

FUNCTION NOT IMPLEMENTED error when calling C# method from SAP, why?
Hi,
I've build a server stub in order to get SAP calling my own methods that exist in the C# world, for that I developed several methods in a class that extends SAPServer and then implemented them...
I added the special custom properties needed (Abap Name, length, etc) to the function and to its parameters, I've made the ABAP code required to call it...
I've checked, every parameters that I place in ABAP (importing, exporting and tables) are also defined in C# (its 53 parameters) with the same name (in C# they are in capital letters and in a diferent order but I tried this before and it didn't matter)...
The name of the function is the same...
How can I get the 'FUNCTION NOT IMPLEMENT' error in SAP?
What's going wrong when I get this error?
Can anyone tell me?
Is there any place in this site that has a error description and possible reasons?
When I get a parameter wrong I get a different error (I tried to make smaller functions and they work fine).
Thanks for the help,
Nuno Felino
Message was edited by: Nuno FelinoHi,
I'll explain what I'm doing:
- we have a set of services made in a C and VB that are available using an API in C#, these services must be available to SAP. So I have a program that will see what parameters the API service requires and makes a proxy so that SAP can call these services.
To do this I must map SAP types with C#, build the function signature and then implement it. So I cannot use the wizard to do this
Now, back to the question, what kind of customer attributes I got wrong to get that exception? The most logic is the AbapName of the function but they are equal (the one called in SAP and the one in the customer attributes of the function)...
Thanks for the answer, can you give me any more hint? -
Remote XML causes Exception Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open
Im using google page creator to host my domain, they don't
allow javascript or xml files (the correct mime type/content type
isnt presented so the browser just downloads the file). They do
however support html. I have uploaded the main html page to their

It seems incredibly silly to allow http requests to load data if
you can't do it across domains. I just don't see the point. I just
checked your test url fingersuk and I see you stil don't have a
fix.
It seems pointless to me that you need to set up a CF or PHP
script to pull the remote files to your local server as a proxy!
Surely that defeats the purpose of the whole Spry http request
idea. It's creating more work instead of saving it. Maybe I'm
missing something, it's late and I'm tired and frustrated!
Is it possible to use a domain policy XML file or something
with Spry to include an IP in a sites 'trusted realm'?

Spry and Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open
hi all,
I'm using Spry to call an RSS feed and display on a webpage.
I'm running this locally on my computer for testing measures and it
works fine in IE but i'm getting a message saying "Permission
denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open" when using FF.
I googled around a bit and found that it has to do something
with FF's cross domain security, but nothing much more than that. I
was just wondering if anyone would be able to point me to a good
resource that explains the issue more and how to fix it, keeping it
in mind that i want to fix it using Dreamweaver's Spry
options.5h4k42u1u wrote:

You're right that there should be no problem with a local
file, but
without seeing the XML file and your code, it's impossible to
say what's
causing the problem. I think your best bet is to post a more
detailed
question in the Spry forum.

Calling a method from another file
This is pretty basic stuff but i can't seem to get it right. I am calling a method from another file. The other file IS located in the same folder BUT when i compile i get errors
"cannot find symbol" <===referring to limit and sieve i believe.
The method name is "sieve" the file name is "PrimeSieve2008" and "limit" is the variable in brackets in the real method.
public static void main (String [] args) {
final int [] PRIMES;
int sieve = PrimeSieve2008.sieve(limit);
PRIMES = sieve(getValidInt());
for (int j = 0; j<PRIMES.length; j++) {
System.out.println("Prime[" + j + "] = " + PRIMES[j]);
Is "int sieve = PrimeSieve2008.sieve(limit)" the wrong way to call a file?
Thanks a million,
Alex

I really am clueless here.in this one you are passing in limit.
in the other one you are getting limit from somewhere outside of main. -

Call C# method from javascript in WebView and retrieve the return value
The issue I am facing is the following :
I want to call a C# method from the javascript in my WebView and get the result of this call in my javascript.
In an WPF Desktop application, it would not be an issue because a WebBrowser
(the equivalent of a webView) has a property ObjectForScripting to which we can assign a C# object containg the methods we want to call from the javascript.
In an Windows Store Application, it is slightly different because the WebView
only contains an event ScriptNotify to which we can subscribe like in the example below :
void MainPage_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
this.webView.ScriptNotify += webView_ScriptNotify;
When the event ScriptNotify is raised by calling window.external.notify(parameter), the method webView_ScriptNotify is called with the parameter sent by the javascript :
function CallCSharp() {
var returnValue;
window.external.notify(parameter);
return returnValue;
private async void webView_ScriptNotify(object sender, NotifyEventArgs e)
var parameter = e.Value;
var result = DoSomerthing(parameter);
The issue is that the javascript only raise the event and doesn't wait for a return value or even for the end of the execution of webView_ScriptNotify().
A solution to this issue would be call a javascript function from the webView_ScriptNotify() to store the return value in a variable in the javascript and retrieve it after.
private async void webView_ScriptNotify(object sender, NotifyEventArgs e)
var parameter = e.Value;
var result = ReturnResult();
await this.webView.InvokeScriptAsync("CSharpCallResult", new string[] { result });
var result;
function CallCSharp() {
window.external.notify(parameter);
return result;
function CSharpCallResult(parameter){
result = parameter;
However this does not work correctly because the call to the CSharpResult function from the C# happens after the javascript has finished to execute the CallCSharp function. Indeed the
window.external.notify does not wait for the C# to finish to execute.
Do you have any solution to solve this issue ? It is quite strange that in a Window Store App it is not possible to get the return value of a call to a C# method from the javascript whereas it is not an issue in a WPF application.I am not very familiar with the completion pattern and I could not find many things about it on Google, what is the principle? Unfortunately your solution of splitting my JS function does not work in my case. In my example my CallCSharp
function is called by another function which provides the parameter and needs the return value to directly use it. This function which called
CallCSharp will always execute before an InvokeScriptAsync call a second function. Furthermore, the content of my WebView is used in a cross platforms context so actually my
CallCSharp function more look like the code below.
function CallCSharp() {
if (isAndroid()) {
//mechanism to call C# method from js in Android
//return the result of call to C# method
} else if (isWindowsStoreApp()) {
window.external.notify(parameter);
// should return the result of call to C# method
} else {
In android, the mechanism in the webView allows to return the value of the call to a C# method, in a WPF application also. But I can't figure why for a Windows Store App we don't have this possibility. -

How to Call C++ Method from Java
I need to call C++ method from Java.
I have gone through the JNI tuorial , but was not able to pin point things.
I read that :
You have to write JNI c functions which then call your C++ member functions.You need to write a JNI function which will call new on your C++ class.
Now i have java class :
Java Code JavaClass.java ---->
class JavaClass{
public native void nativeMethod();
static
System.loadLibrary("NativeCppCode");
private void callCppMethod()
//call C++ method
JavaClass jvc = new JavaClass();
jvc.nativeMethod()
}Cpp Code:
NativeCppCode.h---->
class NativeCppCode
public:
getValue();
setValue();
private:
int a;
JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_JavaClass_nativeMethod(JNIEnv *env
,jobject obj);NativeCppCode.C---->
NativeCppCode::getValue()
return a;
NativeCppCode::setValue()
a = 1;
JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_JavaClass_nativeMethod(JNIEnv *env
,jobject obj)
NativeCppCode* nativeInstabce = new NativeCppCode();
NativeCppCode.setValue();
}Is this the correct way to do it.
Any suggestion would be a great help to metryit wrote:

JNI uses C methods.
Is this the correct way to do it.Same way you would do it in any C/C++ method (not java)
MyClass* p = ....
p->doit();
Common idiom for the pointer in the above is to pass it back and forth to your java code as a java long. You cast it it and from your class pointer. Provide an explicit java method to free it when done. Besides providing the explicit method also implement a finalizer to free it as well (however that is a fail safe and should not be relied upon.) -
XML Deserialization Error when calling WebService-method
Hi all,
when calling a WebService-method from my WebDynpro-application, I get the following error message:
"Deserializing fails. Nested message: XML Deserialization Error. Can not create instance of class [com.karmann.ApplMan.dto.SoftwareKomponenteDTO] when deserializing XML type [urn:com.karmann.ApplMan.dto][SoftwareKomponenteDTO].."
SoftwareKomponenteDTO is a class that I have implemented. It implements Serializable and overwrites the methods "equals()" and "hashcode()". It contains members of types long, String and java.sql.Date.
The method I call needs an argument of type SoftwareKomponenteDTO. Other methods which return something of type SoftwareKomponenteDTO do not make any problems.
The same error message appears when I test the WebService-method in the WebService-navigator. So I assume that the problem is not the way I call the method from WebDynpro.
Thanks for help,
ChristophHi all,
I found what my problem was. The complex type that I deliver to my method (i.e. SoftwareKomponenteDTO) must have a public constructor without parameters. I think that this is slightly confusing, because in the other direction (method delivers complex type as return value) this is not neccessary. Anyway, my problem's solved now.

Christoph
