I've got a WebMarketing account and created a website.
Is it possible to personalise the landing page to each individual user.
I'm wanting something that on the welcome page says,
'Hi {User}', ect ect

You can create a landing page for the secure zone and then use the CRM -> Customer modules as per the article below to personalize the page.

I was wondering if it is possible to personalise a webpage with client first names so that when they log in, it displays their name etc. I know you can do this in the email marketing module, but I was wondering if you can do the same in a secure zone web page.

List secure zones a user can access

I want to be able to, on a user's account page, list the secure zones that they have access to as well as link them to each of these secure zone landing pages. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

If I simply input {module_subscriptions} it lists the user's secure zones in an unordered list along with the price of that subscription and the frequency of the billing cycle. I only want the list to include the names of the secure zones as links. How can I do this?

Secure Zone Re-entry Link

I am working on a client site at the moment, which has over 40 secure zones. Each secure zone has special product and prices. Each secure zone will be accessed by multiple people. However, people in one secure zone will not be able to access another secure zone. This is all easy to figure out.
Customers, while logged in to their secure zone may browse around their own secure zone, they may want to also shop on the regular site, then go back to their secure zone again - my question - how do I create a link that stays on a site template that has their Secure Zone landing page re-entry link? I am trying to avoid having customers have to "log-in" again.

Hi there,
If you use a web app submission to upload files those files are just stored into folders which can be read by search engines. BC does not make folders or files secure and thus any file uploaded can be accessed.
If you want a client to upload a file to you and keep it from search engines if you use a custom web form that file uploaded is stored in the case and only retrievable in the admin of the system.

How do I redirect a secure zone login form with javascript?

I would like to redirect what page a user goes to after filling out the secure log in form. I would change the landing page of the secure zone, but I need a log in form to go to a different page of the site. I would also create a seperate secure zone, but I have almost 3000 subscribers and it would be very time consuming to add all those users to this new zone.
I would like to redirect the user (using the form from a secure zone) to a different page other than the landing page of the log in form. How do I do this with javascript?

The first tutorial will let a person continue on to the page he/she was attempting to access. For example, if your site offers learning lessons in a secure zone... A visitor could click on a lesson, get prompted to login and then be redirected to that particular lesson instead of the landing page for the secure zone. The script in the tutorial also accommodates general logging in: "if the person wasn't going somewhere specific then send him/her here (landing page, user account, whatever).
Might be worth checking out the free BCGurus trial or joining for a month.

How multiple secure zones act now?

I give trial membership on the site, it gives 30 days of access, when it finishes the users subscription to that zone ends and he gets asigned to regular secure zone access again (this tick in customer subscribtions tab disapears automatically). At least that's how it was before if I remember right. So has something been changed to secure zone handling and administration or was it always this way?
The biggest problem I now face is that when trial zone expires customer can't login at all, even though his other regular secure zone (which expires: never) is asigned to him. I use smart login form with redirect page that decides to what secure zone customer should be forwarded so I thought maybe this expired zone gets selected but it seems thats not the case. Even if I login user directly to his regular secure zone which has no expiration I get "secure zone expired" page. If I manually uncheck this expired zone subscription, customer can login again.

yes i've put together the test page and the tag renders both zones expired and not, please see screen shot:
Even if i press "Talent" which expires never I get this Zone Expiry system page.
With login form the redirect is done as Kiyuco suggests: submit button links to redirect page where ajax checks zones user is subscribed to and redirects to the first one in the list.

Muse + BC, adding a sign up form in a secure zone, and a individual my account secured page

I having a lot of trouble in the following task I need to do in Adobe Muse and integrate in Business Catalyst.
1) I need to create a contact form page (with username and login)
2) I need that this contact form integrates with BC to store my subscribers infos
3) Then, I need to create a login and username page that when my client logs in, the info that he previously filled in appears to him (as a My Account page).
4) Of course, this My account page must a in a secure zone area, but each client should have his own personal My account page.
Is this possible? I think it is. (Muse Theme site is an example)

Answering the questions :
1) Publish the site to BC and then create a form on BC end , assign to a secure zone ( which you will have to create ).
2) You can register users in your site using same form.
3) Use login form in page where user can login , landing page for secure zone can be made as web app page. Web app needs to be created for customer accounts and in layout you can use different tags to show cases information which user has submitted etc.
4) Web app is the way out.

How do I create a direct link to a page in the secure zone?

How do I create a direct link to a page in the secure zone? Right now I have a menu link to the "member-news" page, which is secure. When clicked, the link goes to the member login screen. Upon login, it drops the user onto the default login page.
I want the "member-news" link to allow the user to log in and continue onto the "member-news" page without stopping at the default login page.
Is this possible?

Checkout page to be secure zone

It's great that a customer's details can be populated to the checkout form, but if they aren't logged in, this won't happen. How can I change the checkout page to a secure zone, so that it redirects back to the checkout with populated infor once logged in?

Secure Zone expiry by article value not by date

Hello Everyone,
We have been researching the BC tools along with Muse and love what we have found so far.
One request/feature we would like to explore...
Is it possible to calculate a members Secure Zone expiry by value rather than by date?
The reason I am asking is because a request has been raised that:
We apply a 'value/points' to a page/article (e.g. 2 points for a small article and 10 points for a long report).
When a member views the page, that 'value' is deducted from their 'total points' .
As a member uses up their pre purchased 'points' they would need to purchase more to see more articles in the secure zone.
Any comments on feasibility or other solutions are welcome.

You can not do this in BC out of the box and 100% not through Muse.
You would have to build a combo of custom CRM fields for logged in users and possible API work to know total point values of content etc. But then if they are things like pages, blog, web apps the new API's are not for external API access just yet.

Secure zone user tracking

Hi Guys...
I have a secure zone for file downloads (PDF's etc)... My client wants to know whether she can track what the user downloads in the admin panel... Just a list of which files each user has downloaded for marketing purposes?
Is this just part of the reporting?

Im on the right track and i've followed the tutorial to the "T" but it doesn't seem to be working.
It's not submitting any cases to which i then click on to view the fields from hidden form.
At the moment the web page http://welcome-rt.businesscatalyst.com/company/resources isn't secure but the literature files are.
Would that matter as its still not registering that i've submitted an inquiry through the form to then you can check the files etc.

Secure Zones - Request additional information

Does anyone know where I can find information related to: ascribing a user access to multiple secure zones through one login; and, a status indicator such that the user, when logged into a secure zone, sees that they are logged in, such as a module that populates on secure pages with the identity of the user "Welcome:<username>".

You can not subscribe a user to multiple zones with one form at this moment in time. For a user to see their zones though when logged in - Developer reference

Secure Zone Customer Activity Tracking

I'm new to Business Catalyst, so this may be obvious to some of you, but I have a question about tracking customer activity on my Business Catalyst site. I can track logins into Secure Zones, but only whether/not the customer has logged into the site.
What I'd really like to do is track a customer's usage of the site - in other words, I'd like to see what a customer's activity looks like on the site. So if a customer goes from Home (secure zone login), to About, to whatever other page. I suppose how much time they spend is too granular, but if I could figure out how to track their site usage, it'd really help me with a client. The only way I can see how to do it on my own is to require users to log in to every single page, which compromises far too much usability.
So, how about it? Is there anyone that can provide a suggestion, either using the BC interface, or using some other type of tracking mechanism?

BC can't do that out of the box. You may want to use Google Analytics for that.

How to create a Payment Form for access to multiple secure zones

I'm trying to create a Payment Form that allows the user to select from a dropdown of videos, each of which represents a secure zone page with an embedded video.
What I can't figure out -- and tech chat can't help -- is how to redirect the user to the correct secure zone for the video they purchased.
Videos are are streaming, vimeo embeds, not downloads.
Anyone know how to do this? Can post link to test form if you need it.

This can be done for already available list. Have a look at the following steps:
Create an Empty SharePoint Project, then right click the project, add SharePoint “Layouts” Mapped Folder.
Right click the project name, add New item Application Page, then add the custom code there.
Under Features, add a feature, right click the added feature then add an event receiver, override the FeatureActivated method to set the new edit/new form as the default form.
How to set new form as default form:

I kind of worked out the you need to pull out the page id out of the URL and display it that way, but it fails if you have more than one page (you could check across all pages that are part of the secure zone I guess).
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
