Personalize link missing in product search.

Hi All,
  personalize link is missing in the product search in portal. Could you Please guide me how to add personalize link in the Product search as Im new to portal.

Hi,
What do you mean "product search"?
If it means F4 help mode of PC-UI, you can't use personalization function in the screen.
Take a look at sorce code.

to display link is controlled intentionally.

  • Discussion Forum Missing New Product Link

    I've installed the Discussion Forum Portlet from the Integration Tools version 9.0.4.0. No errors deploying the .ear file or other problems at install time. After registering a new user so that I can use the discussion portlet, I only have a link for MY SUBSCRIPTIONS. The link for NEW PRODUCT is missing. I added 2 users and see the same results. Anyone have an idea what could have happened here? Thanks.

    I am experiencing the same problem. However while trying to edit the defaults I cannot add users apart from just typing them into the user field and clicking add. I also cannot delete any users that have been added by this method. Another odd one is that the LOV popup for the users do not contain any usernames. The OID settings fields are blank so my hunch is that might be the reason why the user LOV is blank. I tried to setup the Forum OID setting with the Portal OID settings but it doesn't save the info when I click on 'Apply' or 'Ok'! Anyone out there getting this sort of wierd behaviour? Cheers

  • Personalize link on SSHR Benefits page missing

    Hi.
    I was hoping someone may have seen this behaviour and can help.
    Navigation: Employee Self Service > Benefits
    Unexpectedly, there is no sign of the Personalize link. It is seen on other pages.
    Same result on multiple browsers.
    Profile Options:
    a. FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled = Yes (site and user levels)
    b. FND: Personalization WYSIWYG Enabled = Yes (site)
    c. HR: Enable User Personalization = Yes (site)
    d. Personalize Self-Service Defn = Yes for some responsibilities and users (inc. Employee Self Service resp.) and No for others. Not set at Site level.
    e. Disable self service personalisation set = No at site level (setting to Yes also has no effect)

    Just to eliminate all the possibilities, set this also at site level and test.
    Also check with pages from applications other than SSHR and confirm the behavior.

  • Personalize link is missing

    hi
      we are having ep6.0 sp12, and when i login, i am not able to see the personalize link in the mast head view where i can set up the portal theme/portal language/ workprotect mode etc...
       I logged in as a super adminstrator..will it not come by default..
    at the moment i am having only Help and LogOff and i expect "Personalize" link in between them
    any help is appreciated

        I enabled the option show personalize link in the masthead iview provided content provided by sap --> admin interfaces --> admin iview templates
    and
    went to content administration->portal content->content provided by sap->end user content->standard portal users->worksets->portal personalization
    and edited the permissions on this object to
    adminstrator: None
    end user : enabled
    but i am not able to see the link when i login. I am able to see the that link only when i assign eu_role to the user that i am logging in, but it brings other worksets and iviews, which i dont want to.
    could you please help me in this regard

  • Adobe CS2 uninstall (as administrator, no antivirus) fails on Windows with "Missing or Invalid Personalization Information", "Missing resources library"

    My previously fully functional Adobe CS2 install on Windows 7 x64 stopped working when the activation service for CS2 was shut down.
    I tried to follow the re-installation instructions at the following web page which first require a complete uninstall of Adobe CS2:

    Running as a local administrator in elevated mode and without a running antivirus (in fact, with an uninstalled antivirus), I get the following error message and the uninstaller refuses to run:
    The installer could not start because of the following reasons:
    Missing or Invalid Personalization Information
    Missing resources library
    I searched the forums and found matching threads such as these:

    but they seem to suggest insufficient privileges or an interfering antivirus.
    I opened a chat support case (case number: 0214720731) responded to by @Arunkumar who sent me back to the forums.  When I said similar queries had not been resolved for months, he promised to escalate to his "senior product expert" team to post a solution.  I am posting this message in the hope they will respond with useful suggestions as I do not want to do a complete Windows re-install of an otherwise perfectly functional computer just because the Adobe uninstaller doesn't work.

    You have insufficient privileges to access the registry or your virus scanner is blocking it. Nothing Adobe can fix for you, you need to find the culprit on your system and/ or fix the registry permissions as explained here:

  • Product Search problem

    Hello,
    I've added the product search module to my products page and I don't see how to get the catalogue names into the drop down under the text "Search In." My drop down is blank right now.
    How do the catalogues get added to the drop down and linked to some sort of result?
    Duh?

    Humm..it appears the the module_catalogselect code was missing. 
    I simply inserted a fresh copy of the product search form and it now works as normal with the catalogs listed in the dropdown.

  • Personalize link does not work without proper authorization

    Hello!
    I have an issue in the CRM 7 web ui and the Personalize link in the header.
    We have removed all "unecesary" authorizations and now the users can not get the personalize page. When they click the link they don't get any new page, they get the same page they had before clicking on the link.
    We are also missing the Manage Reports menu entry for the user, the link is enabled in Nav bar profile and visable in SPRO.
    If I give the user SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW, the link works........
    The trace in ST01 doesn't provide any useful info....
    All auth. objects are green and ok
    There is nothing in the logs or any of the trace files.....
    Has anyone encountered this before in CRM 7 or CRM 2007?

  • "MAXIMUM NO OF HITS" field in selection screen for Product Search

    Hi all,
       We are  running on SRM 4.0.I have a query regarding the Selection screen which appears for the Product Search when we click on the "inetrnal Goods/Servcies" link...
        I have developed a Z-serch help for the Product search wherein i have control of  all the other fields lik "Product ID"," Product description " etc..But not "Maximum no of hits" (since it is  a part of the std functionality)...In the selection sceen field " Maximum  no of hits" ,whatever value i enter  that value is not considered...So is there any way that this field is not diplayed on screen/can be disabled(made an O/p field)...
      All suggestions are  welcome....Please  help...

    You're talking about COLLECTIVE search help. You won't definie Max No of hit at this level.
    Define an elementary search help and assign to this one a dialog mode (retriction or set of values).

  • Since the most recent update (yesterday), periodically I am redirected to random sites when I click on a link from a Google search.

    I opened Firefox yesterday morning, and it asked me to wait while it updated. When it was done, I was asked whether I wanted to enable "XUL Cache 1.0". It looked official enough, so I enabled it.   • Personalize link doesn´t work

    Hi Everybody,
    I´m getting an access denied error when I click on the Personalize link in the portal masthead iview. This is what I did:
    1) I copied the eu_core_role.
    2) I copied the personalize workset.
    3) I deleted the home content in the new eu_core_role.
    4) I assigned the new personalize workset to the new eu_core_role as a delta link.
    5) I assigned the new eu_core_role to users and user groups.
    6) I checked the end user permissions for these users and user groups.
    After these steps, the link doesn´t work.
    We´re on Netweaver Portal SP14.
    I tested the Personalize link with the portal URL fully qualified (DNS) and not fully qualified (just hostname).
    Can somebody help me?

    Another question:
    After I assigned the new eu_core_role to users and user groups, the tool area search doesn´t work. It shows an access denied error, too. This error seams to be related to changes on eu_role, isn´t it?
    The tool area search and the Personalize link only work with administrators (users with admin roles).

  • Enhance product search in ICSS.

    In ICSS I want to enhance the product search in create service ticket. As a standard functionality you can search product by entering product id or description. I want to enhance that search by catalor id. Means by putting catalog id it should give the corresponding material. We have created ZCATALOG1 and ZCATALOG2 attributes in an index of trexadmin and customized the ICSS UI in such a way that catalog id will come below product id . There you can put the catalog id. Now question is how to assign the search text in ZCATALOG1. Any body has any clue how to it?. It will be really helpfull to me.

  • "missing or invalid personalization information missing resource library" On CS2

    Problem:
    I just installed CS2 on my Gateway Desktop the other day. I was unable to use CS2 because I maxed out my serial code on another laptop for work. I went a head and deactviated the serial for CS2 and uninstalled it on the laptop. So I could use the CS2 on my Gateway Desktop and transfer the serial code.
    I go to my Desktop and the CS2 still won't load right.  Okay, so I try to uninstall the CS2.  But there's no uninstall file and it's not showing up in the uninstall manager in Windows 7. So go a head and delete the majority of the CS2 in my program files and then try reinstall a fresh copy of CS2.  I get an error "missing or invalid personalization information missing resource library."
    How can I get around that new error? So I can reinstall a working copy of CS2 on my desktop. It's a bit frustrating.  Anybody experience the same problem?   Any insight would be great.  Thanks

    Thanks for the link, I tried following the directions to further removing the components but had no luck.  So I went a head and reformated the computer so I can reinstall a clean CS2.
    Good new is it's not nagging about a inproper serial now.  Bad new is whenever I try to install the CS2 in the C:\Program Files (x86)\adobe It says "The path you selected for installation contains unsupported characters.  Please choose a different folder for installation, so I try C:\Program Files (x86)\adobe2.  I still get that prompt blocking me.
    I did some homework on compatability issues like mention. Some people mention to reclick and and select compatability tab and service pack 3 as admin.  I gave that a go.  All that did was reboot the computer.  A few people claim that got CS2 working for windows 7 already here, other's couldn't:

    note: I use only the default Portal framework, at the PCD location pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/frameworkpage. I don't have any other portal desktops configured.

    please try the following
    goto content administration -> portal content ->
    content provided by sap -> end user content -> standard portal users -> default frame work and here enable the personalize option.
    and also check that the user with whom you are loging in has the eu_role assigned, if that role is not assigned then the personalize button in mast head won't appear.
    to assign the role to your user
    goto user administration -> identity management -> in Search Criteria choose user from drop down list -> in text area enter your user name.
    select your end user and press modify button and form the tab select assigned roles.
    in Available Roles section enter eu_role and select it and press add and save it.

       I have created my on Z-search for Products based on the Plant to which the requisitioner belongs to.Now in EBP,I have  downloaded all the products(Materials and Services) from Backend.
       Also, when I  go through the "Internal Goods/servcies " link for creating the SC,I  need to  see in the  Product search, all the Non-catalogue Products(i.e. excluding the materials and services which  come under the category for  Catalogue Products).
       Now  my query is that I can filter out the products(belonging to te CATALOGUE product category)  before displaying the Product List in the Z-search,but is it advisable to delete these Catalogue Products from EBP itself once they  are transferred from EBP to CCM.(In CCM only ,I will  be  accessing these Catalogue Products to create a  SC through the CATALOGUE link).

    Not on products but you can on catalogs. Click the tick box in the shipping option and you will see filters and options such as countries and catalogs.
