Personilized Data ... where is it stored?
Does anyone know where the personalized information is stored against the users in the database. We have a situation where someone has wanted to personalize a field on to the screen, however that new field is causing the BSP to fall over, not giving the person the opportunity to take the field back off. I'm trying to go through a back door to remove that field from that persons personalized screen. I realize the long term solution is to maintain the field group to take the troublesome field off, however there is a lot of red tape here to get changes through ... so any quick fixes out there???
PCUI View personalized settings will be saved in the table 'CRMD_PERS_LIST'.
PCUI framework uses the conroller class CL_CRM_BSP_LIST_PERS to handle this.Look into save() read() methods to get more info.
Thanks,
Thirumala.

Connection Data - where is it stored?
Hi
I am a web manager at a University in Scotland and we have an
extensive license for Contribute 3.11
We've recently had a problem with Contribute "losing"
connection details to sites and I need to establish where
Contribute stores its connection data?
The more technical information we can receive from Adobe on
this the better.
Thanks

ITunes opens as if it erased all data whereas all still stored in lib
Hi there,
when I open iTunes (7.01), all is blank (no more music, settings, podcasts, purchases) as if I just downloaded it.
However, all data (music/video/podcasts) still exist in
c:/Documents.../my music...iTunes.
When I try to sync my iPod, iTunes says that my iPOd is linked to another library.
Except from importing song by song in iTunes, how can I reconnect to the relevant original library?
BRhi
This is an amateur solution, but I am an amateur, and
I may have justed created doubles of my entire
library, but it seems to have solved the problem that
several people, including me, have mentioned in the
last few days on this forum.
In i-Tunes go into the Edit menu, then Preferences
and then Advanced. Check the i-tunes music library
location in that window. Remember it or write it
down.
Now close all that and open the File menu. Click on
Add folder to library and then browse to the i-tunes
library folder you have just located. This will then
take a few seconds to refill your library. Panic
over! I think!
btw I called an Apple helpdesk about this and they
said they’d never heard of the problem, nor did they
have any solution for it.
hope it works for you
andy
Andy,
thanks for the tip!
It worked well.
Only drawback is I have to re-insert my old columns, but I can live with that.
Best regards! -
When target DB is down in which table is the data from source is stored, also where are the error messages stored in ODI( I am not getting any error message in E$_TARGET_ANI_TEST).
When i am running the interface i am getting the below error against the errored step

SQL Developer 1.5 where are connections stored?
SQL Developer 1.5 where are connections stored?
The connections are in
C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\SQL Developer/system1.5.0.53.38/o.jdeveloper.db.connection.11.1.1.0.22.49.35/connections.xml
If you want to back them up, you can just right-click export from the tree.

Where are items stored in print queue?
I held documents in print queue for several weeks while I had my printer packed for moving. System still backed up using Time Machine during this time. Before I reconnected printer, in trying to resolve another issue, I used Onyx software and deleted the cache (which apparently included the print queue). Now I want to recover the documents in the print queue from my time Machine back up but I am unable to find them.
Where does OS X 10.6 put the data to print documents from the print queue? What is the name of the file or folder where they are stored?tomfromflagstaff wrote:
Yes, I assume that the CUPS job is what caused my difficulty.
And they are gone.
As I mentioned, I only tried Onyx in 10.7.x. Deleting the cache for the CUPS jobs did not actually remove a print job I had spooled. I was able to "see" the file beginning the the "d" in /private/var/spool/cups and move it to my Desktop.
Did you try the Terminal comand I had in my last post to see if there are any files in the spool directory? You will not be able to see the files themselves as even administrators do not have enough privileges to view that directory. The best you can do is use the sudo command to list the files.
The long and short of it is that if the files are not in /private/var/spool/cups, they are gone.
If I understand you correctly, restoring my system to the Time Machine back-up prior to performing this maintenance will not restore my system to it's state (including these print files) at the time of the back-up? How can that be? My understanding was that Time Machine backed-up everything.
Are there other vital files that Time Machine does not back up?
That is my understanding based on what I see in 10.7.x. Time Machine does not back up any caches or any of the files in /private/var/spool/cups. Time Machine will also not back up any other caches or system logs. I don't have a list of what it does not back up. I am not even sure if there is such a list available to users. -
Where Is File Stored On Computer When Using: File.applicationStorageDirectory

i am using windows xp. i know itunes places the back up in \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
however, in my application data folder, there is no apple computer folder. even after i clicked "show hidden files", it still does not show.
i am worried, if my computer crashed, i would not be able to restore my iphone backup because i didnt manage to back up the backup.bluebearies wrote:
no, ur post did not answer my question
From the link he posted for you earlier:
"Where backups are stored
The folder where your backup data is stored changes depending on the computer's operating system. Since iTunes only keeps one backup per device, you should ensure the backup folder is included in your periodic data backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7)."
How does this not answer your question? -
In Firefox portable where is history stored?
I selected Firefox portable so I could run it on my PC (Windows 7) in drive D (secondary hard drive) and avoid excessive writing to primary drive C (SSD). I'm trying to find where history is stored so I can use CCleaner to periodically securely overwrite it. I've searched the various Firefox files on drive D and have been unsuccessful in finding the specific file that stores the history. Can someone please help me identify this mystery file?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
*X:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile
Bookmarks and history are stored in the places.sqlite file.

WHERE is Metadata stored for photos in iPhoto?
I need to find out WHERE all the information I have entered for various photos in my 3000+ photo collection is physically stored.
So, when I bring up a photo, from within iPhoto, and enter a Title, date, time, Comments, etc. WHERE does iPhoto actually put that information? More importantly, I need to BACK-UP that data, so need to know where it's stored to do that.
I just moved a folder within the iPhoto Library folder ( A B-I-G 'No-No' obviousely! ) and BOOM... all my photos were GONE, along with MONTHS worth of time it took me to organize, label and notate information on every single photo in my library - most were scanned in from those boxes of photos we all have under our beds, etc. and they contained only the date I brought them into iPhoto. Since I have photos going back to the mid-eighteen hundreds, dates in 2003 or 2005 don't quite hack it! Now I'm starting from scratch to do it all again, and want to make SURE I am able to back-up that data this time.
Thansk...Vic:
For future reference there are a couple of Applescripts for copying the EXIF information from iPhoto to a file and/or back to iPhoto - http://scriptbuilders.net/files/iphotoiptckeywordimportexportutilities1.0.html.
iPhoto does not do a great job in keeping metadata/EXIF info tied to the files except within iPhoto itself and, as you've experienced, that can be fragile. Image management applications like iView MediaPro write nearly all annotations directly back to the file itself. -

LenfinkelHi LenFinkel,
May I know what is purpose of this requirement, as olaf said, you may parse the T-SQL code (or the execution plan), which is not that easy.
I have noticed that the condition values in your Stored Procedure(SP) are hard coded and among them there is a date values, I believe some day you may have to alter the SP when the date expires. So why not declare 3 parameters of the SP instead hard coding?
For multiple values paramter you can use a
table-valued parameter. Then there's no problem getting the values.
If you could elaborate your purpose, we may help to find better workaround.

Where are iBooks stored on the new Mavericks OS?
I was trying to find where Apple is storing the iBooks on Mavericks. I knew where it was before Mavericks. I download a lot of books and pdfs from the Internet that I manually add to iBooks and I would like to know where they are being stored. I am trying to get my wife's mac with the same books and mine. Right now it is missing a few. It would be easier to just find where they are stored and copy them than for me to go to all ot these websites and redownload everything.
Creating an OS X-style "alias" is not enough. I haven't tried the following solution (and I won't do it myself as my HDD is big enough, sorry), but the correct way to do this kind of jobs on OS X is to create a "symlink", or "symbolic link", which is a UNIX-style alias (read more about it on Wikipedia if you'd like to). To put it short, you type/paste the following commands into Terminal.app, one at a time (you will be making changes to your system files and you will be prompted for your admin password, which is pretty dangerous if you don't understand the mechanisms—remember to quit iBooks.app first, make backups, and be prepared for any damages):
sudo mv "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks" "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER";
sudo ln -s "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
You should change "EXTERNAL DRIVE" to the name of your drive, and replace "PATH TO IBOOKS" with the path you want to store iBooks documents on your external drive. For instance, replacing "PATH TO IBOOKS" with "iBooks" simply creates a directory named "iBooks" under the root directory of your external drive with the iBooks data. Note that after doing this you won't be able to properly use iBooks without connecting the external drive.
This might or might not work, but I hope this helps.
(If this doesn't work, recover to the original state by quitting iBooks.app first, and type/paste the following into Terminal (you might again be prompted for your admin password):
sudo rm -rf "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
sudo mv "/Volumes/EXTERNAL DRIVE/PATH TO IBOOKS FOLDER" "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks";
This will most likely recover your original working state of iBooks.) -
I have scanned some black and white negatives into my computer(iMac) where they are stored on the hard disc as positives. When I import them into iPhoto to print they turn back into negatives. How do I turn them back into positives?
That's because you scanned them as B/W photos and iPhoto 08 doesn't support the grayscale color profile. You can either rescan them as color photos or export them as originals out of iPhoto to a folder on the desktop and applhy this Automator application, Convert to JPG and Embed sRGB Profile, on them and then remimport into iPhoto. You can download it from Toad's Cellar . Be sure to read the warning on the website about not applying it on your only copies.

It's important to keep in mind that the picture files are NOT stored in the Organizer. They are not stored in Lightroom or Bridge either...
The organizer is based on a catalog which stores the pictures properties, mainly the location of the pictures on your drive(s). It's the same idea of catalogs in Lightroom, and the nice thing is that Lightroom can convert organizer catalogs to its own format. The most obvious way for you will be to use Lightroom.
Bridge is a file browser which is a different way than to use catalogs. -
