You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

OK, let's come back to the original issue; how are deleted messages retrievable?
First, is the account set up as an Exchange account or a POP account? I'll assume it's Exchange. If it were POP the answer is obvious.
If it's an Exchange account are you deleting the messages from the phone or from some other computer? If you are deleting them from another computer they will not be removed from the Trash folder on the phone until the phone next syncs AND the Trash folder is opened. But this will take time. You can force the Trash folder to sync in near real time by going into Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendars, tap on the Exchange account, tap on Mail Folders to Push and check "Deleted Items". Note that doing this will result in increased data usage and reduced battery life.
If I haven't described the situation tell me what assumptions I made that are incorrect.

  • Why does my emails keep downloading after deleting them?

Why does my emails keep downloading after deleting them?

It sounds like you may be "synced" to an IMAP email server with your ISP.  You would need to go into Mail>Preferences and set the messages to be removed from the IMAP server after some period of time so they don't redownload to your computer.  That's one possiblility.  Another is if you are synced with iCloud, then the mail is stored on your iCloud server backup and will redownload until you remove it.
    Hope this helps

selling computer and would like to remove email from Mail without deleting them from apple server.

    Hello, nino_72.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are the steps that I would recommend processing when selling a Mac.

  • How do I delete email from iPhone without deleting them from my Mac

How do I delete email from iPhone without deleting them from my Mac?

To remove a photo from iPhoto and your Mac:
Put it in the iPhoto Trash, then enpty it. Then empty the system trash as well
If you want to remove a photo from iPhoto but keep it on your Mac:
First Export the file from iPhoto (File -> Export) to whereever you want it and then go through the steps above.
Confusion arises as the notion that you would want to remove a pic from iPhoto but keep it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's like saying I want to remove one address from Address Book, but still keep it on my Mac. The point of iPhoto and such apps is that they are used to manage your photos. Anything that you need to do with the pics cn be done either with or via iPhoto.

  • Why is it still showing "new" email when I have deleted them?

Why does it show that I have new emails after I have deleted them? Hate it!!

You still get "Not enough" space after deleting everything? how much music do you have on the phone. And how much free space does it say you have now?

  • Why do I keep getting the same emails after I have deleted them.

Since I have updated to the new OS I have been receiving emails that i have deleted from my inbox to only be placed back in it. I thought Apple made the new update to where you view emails from all your devices and if you delete from one device it will do the same to the others or am I miss understanding?  The OS will place the email back into my inbox like it was a new email coming through.

You can remove (uninstall) Java Console extension, you do not need them and they can cause problems. The same for the Java Quick Starter.

  • SharePoint Online "New List Item Trigger" deletes them... WTF?

Started playing around with these API apps today on our system, as I think they've got great potential, and as well as not passing any data on to the following commands this also decided to delete them from our SharePoint Online site as well!
Is it worth writing in the documentation somewhere that it will annihilate your data source as it goes through the workflow?
Would appreciate someone getting in touch to try and resolve this.
EDIT: Had a look for the items in SharePoint and they're not even in the site's recycle bin (but previously deleted items from this list have been). We have email alerts set up on any activity on the list (as a kind of audit logging) so I can see that the items
were deleted by my user account.

No I didn't. I know it will fit some scenarios, but these items need to stay in the list they're in otherwise we need to modify the rest of our system
(at which point it becomes a bit pointless using these extra pieces, as we're modifying our deployed app so may as well make the changes in there).
With regards to the "processed" column, I was hoping (and assuming) that it was going to work the same way that Azure Webjobs and blob
storage worked, in that it keeps track of it's own "processed" status in table storage somewhere. This means it can be completely transparent to the source system, means no modifications need to be made to the source system and it's completely self
    contained.

  • My calendars became reminder lists and I deleted them. How do I get my calendars back?

I was in the Reminders app on my iPhone 5 and empty lists named after my calendars showed up randomly (first my personal calendar, then my school one). I thought it was some strange bug so I deleted them. When it happened today with my school calendar I looked back at the calendars app and realized that somehow whatever bug (or feature?) that caused my calendars to show up in the Reminders actually caused the calendar to be deleted when I deleted the Reminder list. Is there any way Apple would be able to pull my old calendars back up and is there some way for me to aviod this in the future? I wasn't sure if it really was a bug or if it was a feature I was unaware of and misused.

Maybe this is some new ios 7.1 bug? I never tried using iCloud calendars or reminders before today but I created a shared reminder list and a shared calendar. The shared reminder list showed up as a calendar on another device and the calendar wasn't showing up at all. Went through the Apple troubleshooting list.
On the device where the calendar was missing and the reminder list was showing as a calendar:
Forced refresh of Calendar list in Calendar app. Nothing.
Killed and restarted Calendar app. Nothing.
Turned off Calendar in the iCloud Settings, waited a few minutes, then turned it back on. Success!
Missing calendar showed up and the reminder list no longer showed up as a calendar.
Something is definitely broken here but maybe my fix will work for you. If it's the reverse (calendar showing as reminder list) just toggle the reminder switch in the iCloud settings.

  • My newsletter in pages has 2 blank pages 5 and 6.  I cannot delete them without deleting pages 3 and 4. Help

My newsletter has 4 pages that I want to keep.  Somehow, it added page 5 and 6.  When I try to delete them, the program deletes page 4 as well.
I need help.  Everything I read does not work.

    Hi bb,
What template did you use to create your newsletter? Word Processing or Page Layout?
Menu > View > Page Thumbnails. Click on a Thumbnail. Are several pages surrounded by a yellow border? If so, they are all in one Section. Deleting one thumbnail will delete the whole Section (pages 4, 5 and 6).
    Go to Menu > Insert
If the first Menu Item is Sections, you have a Word Processing document. Delete the content of a page, not the thumbnail of a page
Do you have any Section Breaks?
Menu > View > Show Invisibles to see Section Breaks, blank paragraphs etc. that might be causing a new (unwanted) page.
If this does not help, please reply with more details.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • Missing emails in Mail - Lion deleting them?

I'm using Mail with two IMAP accounts (oneis gmail), and I'm experiencing a little weirdness.
I seem to be missing emails coming in, which I'm not deleting or filing away.
I got in late last night and checked my emails on my iPhone. I read one that needed to be replied to today, then closed Mail on my iPhone and went to bed.
This morning, I jumped on my Lion iMac and opened Mail - and the email I read on my iPhone doesn't appear in my inbox. I checked on my iPhone and iPad and it's not there either.
I didn't delete it or move it or do anything other than read it on my iPhone.
I asked on another forum, and one person said the following:
I am experiencing the same thing. I seem to be able to send email from the Lion's new Mail, but can't receive any.
I have several mail accounts in Mail and the problem seem to be the same with all of them regardless of whether on exchange server or not. The strange thing is that I can see and read some of the "invisible" incoming mail in my iPhone, but if I try to refresh my Mail accounts on mac, it may delete the new emails also from my iPhone! The disappearing emails are nowhere to be found and I have also checked the external exchange service mail boxes and junk mail and spam boxes.
Quite serious bug causing a lot of harm!
So it doesn't seem to be just me.
    Anyone else?
    Cheers.

    Ditto,
I have an Exchange, 5 IMAP, and a POP account.  I only have the exchange and an IMAP set up on my phone and iPad, so I only know that those are acting odd for sure.  Not really sure what the problem is.  The emails are showing up in searches.  I have a special "ding" for when my wife emails me and that sounds, but I can only see it if I search for it. The message, along with, most, others wont show up in my inbox...
I'm a part of the developers beta for iCloud and have iOS 5 beta on my iPad but not my iPhone.  Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I figured I should mention.
I really have no idea where to start to fix this bug.  Maybe adding and removing the account, but if it's a problem spanning multiple accounts, that doesn't seem likely and with the number of email I have, it'd require quite a while to sync up again.

  • Keeping emails in mail but deleting them from .mac account?

My mobile phone wants to download the entire .mac mailbox whenever I check my mail - is the answer then to empty the .mac mailbox everyday? I once did this and lost all the emails in Mail on my computer. I'd like to keep them on the computer, but is this possible?

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
Exactly how you use your Powerbook and phone is the key to arriving at the best way to do this. If you do not have your Mac connected at all times, or at least when needing to use the phone to check email, then you can set up your .mac account as a POP account, rather than .mac, and then remove messages from the server whenever you first download them onto your computer.
A .mac account, like an IMAP account (it really is just an IMAP account) has its Inbox, and usually its Sent mailbox residing on the server, whereas a POP account has the Inbox, Sent, etc residing on your hard drive. While you can leave messages on the server, when using POP access, so as to download to other computers, the original concept of POP was to download and remove.
The Mail Application has all the needed selections for instructing the server to keep or remove messages after download, when the account is set up as POP.
The other choice is to create a New Mailbox, which will be on your Mac, and then move messages from the .mac Inbox to this new mailbox, and thus remove them from the Inbox, which should take them off the server.
    More info, please.

  • Form name and email being autofilled. cant delete

I am using latest firefox 4 /vista ...see below
when I go to certain sites, the logon name and email that i used previously a loooong time ago on another site appear automatically in the name and email field (of the comment section) .
I have never visited these sites before let alone posted anything on them, or used the email/logon in any other way. There are no cookies associated with these sites in my cookies.
I tried turnign off remember search and form history
I tried delete and shift delete
everytime I return to those site domains, same thing.
I am not using any autoform plugin.

I think some further detective work may be required. Here's one thought. Some sites share comments, reviews, and surveys. If you right-click near the form with the unwanted information in it, is there a "This Frame" on the context menu? If so, follow that to View Frame Information to see the true source domain. You may need to clear cookies for that domain.
