Phone number changed, but old number still shows in iTunes and in contacts within Phone app

My phone number changed, but when my phone is plugged into iTunes, it is still showing my old phone number in the iPhone information box. Also, when you are in contacts from within the Phone app. and you you pull down the list of contacts so it reveals the space above the search field, it says "My Number: (old number)" instead of "My Number: (new number)". I have synced my phone with iTunes since the change and my new number has been updated in my name record in the Contacts app. but the old number is still persisting in the aforementioned places. How do I get iTunes an the space above the search field in the contacts section of the Phone app to display my new number?

Did you create a new Apple ID, or simply update the old one?
If you simply updated the old one, then you need to go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, click on the Apple ID, and sign out. Then sign back in with your new ID. Also, you want to go to Settings>iCloud and scroll down to the bottom and delete the iCloud account and sign back onto it with your new Apple ID as well.
If you created a new Apple ID, then there are other considerations. Post back if that is the case.

If you're really trying to use Windows 2000, then that's the problem. As you'll see on the box, you need at least XP/SP3.

I changed my apple id and my iphone change right away but for some reason my daughters itouch didnt change. I went in and change the same areas that i did on my iphone but the itouch did not change my apple id on app purchases.

Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in with the other ID.
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Larger image changed, but smaller thumbnails still show old image

Hi,
I want to change the image for my podcast. I added the new image to my server and added an image tag to my rss file pointing to it. Now in the iTunes store, the larger thumbnail shows the correct image, but the smaller thumbnails in the store show the old one. Do I just need to wait longer, or is there something else I have to do?

For some reason the thumbnails in the Search results take longer to update than the image on the Store page. They're both drawn from the same tag in your feed, so there's nothing you can do except wait: it will probably sort itself out in a day or two.
Edit: actually I just searched on your podcast title and the search results showed the same image as the main Store page.
Another edit: I assume you are talking about the Search results, not what you see when you subscribe? Those images are embedded in the media files, not referenced in the feed. I just downloaded one of the episodes on subscription and I see it has a different image. In order to change this you will have to embed new images in every episode and re-upload them - see here.

Payment was made with requested info changes, but my Skype, still shows Action Alert

Skype stated that date on my credit card (for annual auto payments) was ending. 3 days ago I entered required info re: my updated card (good to 07-1 and paid. Soon as I paid, message from Skype appeared, saying they'd send me an email. That has not arrived; also, when I get into my Skype, message is still there re: immediate action required, my card was running out before next auto payment in September. So what happened to my payment????

First thing to always do is write a Certified Return Receipt letter or just copy the post you made and send it to Verizon Wireless and dispute it in writing.
Then walk down to your local court and file a small claims court case against Verizon for all the fraudulent charges. Verizon will call you before that court case and then it may be possible to get this wiped off your account.
Also file a BBB complaint http://www.bbb.org
Again Verizon will contact you to offer to settle. Get the settlement in writing not verbal. Or proceed to court.
Sorry you are going through hell for something you should never have had to go through.

Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages. This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
If that does not work
Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.
Sign into iCloud on your device with the correct Apple ID and password

I changed my Apple ID (email address) on the Apple web site but the old one still shows up on my phone so the password does not work.

You need to log out of you account on your phone and delete your iCloud account from the phone, then add the new one back. See: Change your Apple ID

Old contact's number still showing up

Not a huge issue, more of an annoyance. Friend of mine changed is his number, and I changed it accordingly, yet his old number still shows up during iMessage. I start typing GU... and his new number pops up, but his old shows up beneath it.
I went through contacts on my macbook pro, I went onto iCloud. I can't find the old number anywhere.
Anyone know how to fix this?

I think restore as new rather than from a backup would do it but then you would lose data and settings

If all you did was rename your ID, you can go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with your renamed ID. Deleting the account only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with iCloud from your phone, not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing accounts, your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.
If, however, you are changing to a new account with a new ID, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then choose Merge when you sign into the new account and turn your iCloud syncing back on to upload your data to the new account.
Before deleting the account, save you photo stream photos to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

You cannot merge accounts.
You need to sign into the old account on your computer.

How do I remove my personal text msgs from appearing on my new iPad. Rec for Christmas didn't realize texts appeared on iPad, changed settings, new ones didn't appear but old ones still on it.

As far as I know, deleting the messages on the iPad should not affect them on the iPad. I delete messages on one device and it doesn't affect the messages on the other device since they are stored locally on the device. And ... I am using my iPhone number as the contact address on both devices,
You can create another ID for texting on the iPad, but it's not an absolute must. You just need to use your Apple ID email address, or any other working email address for that matter - as the contact at address on the iPad for texting. As long as you use the iPhone number on the phone and the email address on the iPad, texting paths shall never cross.
