Sounds like you synced the photos instead of importing the photos.
In iTunes with your device plugged in, go to the photos tab and uncheck the photos that were synced over, then sync again. This should take the photos from your coputer off the devices leaving just the camera roll.
If you have a Windows computer, go to mycomputer and right click on your device and select import pictures and video. If its a Mac computer, plug in your device and go to iphoto and select import all.

My laptop was stolen and I need to be able to connect my iPhone4 to the new laptop and transfer content (photos, mp3's, apps etc.) to the new laptop. I'm afraid to try a sync in case it deletes all the content off the iPhone. Any suggestions?

You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

If you are referring to the fact that, in the App Store app, after you have installed or updated an App, that the Install button changes to now read "Open" then this does not mean that the App is Open and running. It means, rather, that, if you touch the button now marked "Open", the App will be started and "Open". It's just a quick way to get to the App you have just installed or updated.

Need a good Photo Gallery Extension

Setting up a photo gallery with hundreds of shots. Would like
an extension that give more choices for Dreamweaver CS3. Would like
to create pop-ups from thumbnails from a folder of photos in a
batch medthod without having to do each individually.

Here is the one I have .. you can set up a gallery in about
10 minutes.
Using Fireworks, it will even prepare the images for you in
the process.

Good photo gallery to use with Paypal?

I built my site using Dreamweaver 8. I now want to redo it using more CSS and another photo gallery. I believe someone mentioned something on this forum called LightBox or had that word associated with it. Can anyone recommend a gallery that would be fairly easy to use with CSS and help me incooperate it with a PayPal account?
Also, when I created my navigation bars, I turned them into Library items, which made them easier to put on each page. However, if I want to change anything on the nav bars or update, there are more problems doing this once they are on the Web. Can anyone recommend a way to use CSS when
creating nav bars, any links or tutorials?
Also, I know my site needs redoing, but any advise on it is much appreciated!!

Automatic image compression for photo gallery web apps?

Is it possible to scale and compress images to a maximum size when uploading to a web app? This is for a photo gallery that allows public submissions, and we are anticipating that we will get lots of photos that are very large. This is a task that would be best handled by a server-side image processing lib, but is there another way since we don't have that on BC?

I understand that you are probably concerned with data storage limits when asking this question. But, you can create thumbnails when displaying images within the photo gallery. This will allow a very large image to display very quickly within the gallery.

Does anyone know a good photo gallery that I can use in contribute and easily add photos and new galleries?

Looking for a good gallery that can be easily updated by the user in contribute. All the ones I have found are too complicated for the general user to add/edit photos

Not that I know of, but you definitely need a relational database for this, and FileMaker is the best there is.
It might be worth asking them if they already have a template for your purpose.
Of course, they also make a simpler and cheaper version called Bento:

Photo Gallery with lightbox2 help

Hey people
Good news i finally got my photo gallery from bc to show in lightbox 2 using .xlm. the only problem im having is how to layout the thumb pictures. if you have a look here http://kookaburracreekretreat2.businesscatalyst.com/the-house.html
You will see some pictures but they going down the screen. How do i make them layout like 4 pictures across then go down?
As well if some one could help with with a auto crop for the thumb pictures that would be great. what i mean by this is some time clients will upload portrait and other time landscape. I want the thumb pictures to be crop to all the same size. at the moment when i do it just squashed the picture.
this is the css at the moment for the thumb picture .

Looking at it from the box model, your containing div needs to be 4 elements wide. You then float all the elements left, which will stack them into a single row of 4 elements and the 5th element will not be able to fit because of the with and it will go into the next row. Kind of how BC stacks products inside the small product layout. They're all floated left and stacked to each other from the right.

hi, im makin a site and i want a photo gallery to be on it.
but id like to have an intelligent solution.
so i thought about an algorithm, id select a folder (in code
ofc) and it would automatically make a list of images being in it
(not only once, but every time it is being run - dynamic). then
makin a scrollbox with thumbnails (just resized originals - no
separate images and thumbnails) and when i click on one it shows it
in a frame next to the scrollbox. the images wouldnt have any
separate descriptions.
well, anyway id be happy even from a simpler solution: a page
with all the images in thumbnails, but listed automatically,
depending on the source folder contents, then when i click at one
it just opens it in a blank new window.
could anyone show me how to do it :P? (ima newb in html ;s)

How to transfer photo gallery with thumbnails from Fireworks?

I am trying to create a website. I am using Dreamweaver CS3
and for my main homepage I used one of their templates.
From my main page I give a link to photo gallery. I intend to
build a gallery in Fireworks as I will need a thumbnails for my
photos.
My question is how can I transfer the created gallery to
Dreamweaver CS3? I need the same template I used for my homepage
for my gallery?

save then in an outside folder.
next inside the directory you use for your web files create a
directory
with either the sme name as the outside folder or name
desired open that
directory.
Open up Dreamweaver and create a Blank HTML page.
Now go to Commands menu and and choose create web Photo
album...
next a menu will pop up and ask directory where images are
located. Then
will ask the destination directory browse to the new
directory you
created. You will also settings for Thumbnail size and
whether to use
captions if you do use captions it will use the file name of
of each
image and you will have to go in and edit the caption names
for the
photos as desired when everything is setup fireworks will
takeover and
create the album. it will create three subdirectories one
with the full
size photos , one with the thumbs, and one with the html
information for
each photo. Plus three other files in main directory one
being an html
file. once completed and Fireworks returns editing back to
Dreamweaver
close and don't save the blank html file. the index file
needed will be
created by Fireworks.
open the index file inside you album directory and edit
cations as needed.
Remember if you do this you'll need a total of 3 times files
of the
photos you use for example.
if you have 30 photos it will be a total of four directories
and 93 files.
for 20 it would be 63 files, for 10 33 files and so on.
If you need to add photos or take away photos the method is
to start
over from scratch and use you FTP program to do a recursive
delete on
the directory then re-upload.

HTML/CSS photo gallery updatable in Contribute?

I'm putting together a website for a client who wants a photo
gallery which they can update on a fairly regular basis.
They'll be using Contribute to maintain other parts of the
site, and I'd like to be able to give them the same access to the
gallery, but the majority of more interesting ones (PVII, for
example) seem to be a mite complicated for a Contribute update.
Can anyone recommend an interesting, sophisticated-looking
gallery which can fit these criteria?

Dynamic photo gallery script?

Can anyone suggest a good photo gallery script?
My client is a photographer and needs a user-friendly system
where he can
create galleries, upload images. He also needs to assign
usernames/passwords
to each gallery. I was going to use Coppermine, but it has
too many bells
and whistles. I need to keep it very simple.

Sorry for not beeing to respond to your issue sooner, but i'm having some deadlines that needed to be worked on.
This works to display the dynamic Galleries but, the links do not connect to the specific galleries.
