Photos not available to share to apple TV

Just updated to 10.3. Migrated my photos from Aperture to Photos. Went to iTunes to choose Photos as the app I want to share to my Apple TV. It is not available as a selection. I am only offered iPhoto and Aperture.

Okay, it's showing up now. Selected and everything is cool.

Yesterday after upgrading the Cisco AnyConnect app, it stopped working; Today, the app is not available anymore from the apple store, what happened?

There is an explanation in the following link in the section "What's new in version 3.0.09440" that there was a problem with the update. It's available again now. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cisco-anyconnect/id392790924?mt=8

  • Why is Spotify not available on the Nigerian apple store?

I used an android phone before now, there was an app called Spotify that I love and use all the time.
Now I am planning to switch to iphone 6 but because spotify is not available on it, I am having some doubts about using iphone.
I use a Nigerian Apple store for your information.
    Please resolve this issue.

Not all apps are available in all App Stores due to contract arrangements.  Since we are all fellow users on here we cannot speak for Apple's legal arrangements.

  • Photo library?? all photos not available

    Hi!
I switched to the iCloud Photo library to save storage on my phone and iPad
Every photo of mine is in iPhoto and iCloud, however I can not "see" older photos NOT taken on phone and iPad in the Photos app (on phone and iPad)
Is this due to iCloud Photo library being beta, or is there a setting I am missing??
if due to beta, will this functionality work soon?
    thx for your help!

correction!!! all of my photos are NOT on iCloud, but they are in iPhoto on my Mac

  • IPhoto in Leopard: photos not available

In Tiger, if you opened the Pictures folder you would be able to access all of your iPhoto pix through all the various years' folders. Now in Leopard, when you open the "Pictures" folder all you get is a generic "iPhoto Library" icon (clicking on it just opens iPhoto). Where are the photos now?!
My main issue is that I am trying to reconnect several photos into a Final Cut Pro project. When it asks for the location, I can't direct it to a particular folder like I could in Tiger. Instead I can only point it to this "iPhoto Library" icon which does nothing.
Anybody know where the iPhoto pix are now kept...and how I can access the folders thru FCP?
    Thanks for your help!

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
This has nothing to do with 10.4. iPhoto 08 is the same on 10.4 too.
With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Unix Style Package File. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To reconnect to the FCP project you'll need to export the pics to a folder.
    Regards
    TD

  • IPhone Videos and Photos not available for download

I've been using FCP X for a good while now, Aperture, and my iPhone. We're a good team for a serious hobbiest (<--is that even a word?).
I did this morning what I normally do about once a month. Hook up my iPhone 5s to my MBP, fire up FCPX, click import and...
no videos to download? My phone is now full of pictures and videos.
I verified "All clips" are selected and that the "hide imported clips" is UNselected. Should show all my iPhone video and photo content. Always has in the past. Instead, today, I get a total of 27 photos/videos combined. Truthfully, my iPhone indicates 48 videos and over 2,000 pics.
So, knowing my mac a bit, I fire up Image Capture. I'll force this booger to do a manual download to my desktop, then I'll upload to FCPX. Same 27 photo/video combo shows on Image capture.
I restart my computer and my phone. No change.
How is it I have a full phone (only 3gb left of room), jam packed with photos and video, yet I can only "see" 27 of them on my computer but all of them on my iPhone.
Why can't I seem to "see" them and have them available for download? This coincides with the most recent update (since I've performed a download).
Any ideas on how to get my videos off my phone? Aperture is still doing the iCloud skim over fine, so I have all my photos now in Aperture Photostream files.
    Thanks

    As a continuation...
I've done a few pics today and a couple of videos on my iPhone. They are not showing up on image capture or FCPX now. Nothing is showing up, it is as if I have a blank iPhone.
Any ideas how to get my iPhone and mac to play nice?
Pics still skimming over iCloud to Aperture though, which is good.

  • Why is aperture photos not available elsewhere

I have previews switched on and share with ilife apps always enabled.
Yet aperture library does not appear in the media section of open dialogues or as a choice source for my ipad.
I have fixed premissions and rebuilt database, I am running the latest leopard.
There are no addons or anything on my aperture.
    Any ideas?

Is Aperture in your Applications directory?
(Just a guess.  Looks like you've covered the rest.)

  • All photos not available

correction!!! all of my photos are NOT on iCloud, but they are in iPhoto on my Mac

  • IOS 7 will not verify when installing just says "Update currently not available" in this a apple problem or my iphone 5

I have a PowerGen 8400mAh External Battery Pack that my family and I have used on many occasions to charge the 3 iPhones we have.  (2 iPhone 5 and a 4s).  I discovered this past weekend after going on a 40 mile bike ride that my trusted battery will no longer work after I updated to iOS 7.  I use an Apple lightning cable to connect the battery but get "This accessory may not be supported" message after plugging it in.  Why is Apple making many once supported accessories obsolete?  This external battery has been a life saver on many occasions.  It may be time to make the switch to another smart phone if Apple keeps this up.

  • Photos not available to upload (eg to Gmail, Wordpress or Facebook)

I think that this just might be another part of the problem that others are noticing but wish to report it so that the bug can be fixed for future updates.
When I go to upload photos to my Wordpress blog, or to attach to a Gmail email or to share on Facebook, only the older ones are showing within Photos. They also don't work when I try the drag and drop method instead.
This is a new problem ever since I changed to the new Photos app. The workaround I have been using is to copy the desired photos as separate files to my desktop, from where I am then able to upload them.
I am using Chrome as my browser.
    Thanks.

No I don't have any browsers. Although I wouldn't point the finger at Chrome - the problem only started once iPhoto change to Photos. Never any issues uploading photos on my Mac using Chrome before that. Hopefully it is something they'll pick up on for future upgrades. Till then I can log use the desktop method or otherwise Safari. Thanks

  • HT204291 AirPlay speakers not available.  The speakers "Apple TV" is currently being used by someone else.

How do I mirror my iPad to my apple TV when I am getting this pop-up message each time I try to connect?

Replaying to myself, I found what was causing the problem.
I have an Ubuntu machine and I was making some test to stream to Airport Express from Ubuntu.
Under Pulseaudio preferneces I had checked "Make discoverable Apple Airtunes sound devices available locally" for tests some months ago.
    Unchecking it solves the problem.

  • Photos not available for downloading to word.  Photo booth comes up instead

I downloaded an update to my iMac today and now I can's access my photos for Word.  Photo Booth comes up instead.

Thank you Dah.Veed, but when working in Word it doesn't allow me to choose the Photo app in the Apps folder.  I put a newsletter together every month and now I can't add any photos to it.  Very frustrating!

  • Does anyone have any idea when Apple will have one Global App store. In South Africa the apps available on the App Store are pathetic, eg. Angry Birds is not available to Iphone/ipad users here, however android users can purchase this app no problem.

If this continues, with the competition in the smart phone/android market, South Africans will start to can Apple devices due to the pathetic App Store for South Africa. The most popular games and Apps are not available here and until Apple get smart and make a Global Store for purchases not matter where you are in the world, Apple will continue to loose support. I have everything Apple, but am tired of the run around to try and buy good Apps.

If you will allow me to say so ... Calm down.
It really isn't the fault of Apple.  The developers of apps, the writers of music and of books all have copyright or exclusivity deals through agents in order to market their creations.
These arrangements are usually conducted on an individual national basis and as a result what would be allowed in one country is not allowed in another if that is what the agent wants.
Apple has to negotiate through this mire to get the best deal it can yet always accepting that many other interested parties want similar privileges.
So you can see, like politics, world wide agreements are just not possible.

  • Cannot post - Apple Discussion temporarily not available

    Hi
I have been trying to post a message since about a week ago. I keep getting the message that Apple Discussion is temporarily not available and to visit Apple Support.
But, I noticed there are messages being posted by others during this period. I am posting from Asia. Is this problem in Asia only ..??
Appreciate some heads up to what I can do to resolve this issue.
    Thanks.

If this was happening to me, I would try the Open DNS numbers.
So go up to the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen.
Double click and move your cursor down to "System Preferences."
    Then go down to "Network."
Click on Advanced button down in the lower right.
In the resulting box, click on the top menu > DNS.
Then, write down the two (probably) addresses in the left pane (DNS Servers).
(This is in case this doesn't work, and you can simply put the old ones back in easily)
Then erase those old numbers and replace with 208.67.222.222 (top one)
and 208.67.220.220 (lower one). The order is just to make things clearer to you.
    It really doesn't matter.
Then when the new numbers are in there, go down to the lower right corner of that pane,
    and click the OK button.
    Restart Safari, and test again.

  • Can I set up my wife's iPhone C with her own iCloud but share my Apple ID account?

I have had my Apple Id for quite sometime now and have lots of music and apps for my Apple devices. I FINALLY convinced my wife to get an Apple phone as well when we just upgraded our services.
Is it possible for me to set her phone up with her own iCloud account (so we don't get each others texts, photos, ect) but still share my Apple ID so she can have access to our apps and music? Also I need to set her up on a PC of her own for backups and syncing.
If this is possible, what is the best way to proceed?
Thanks for any help at all
    Wolf

If you still have this question, the answer is yes.  You can set up a separate iCloud account for her by going to Settings>iCloud on her phone and signing in with a separate Apple ID.  You can do this and still share the same ID for your iTunes account (in Settings>iTunes & App Store).  The ID you use for iCloud does not need to be the same as the ID you use for other services.  Also, to avoid getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls, make sure she signs into these services with her new iCloud ID (in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime).
In iTunes on her PC, authorize her computer for your shared iTunes account by opening iTunes and going to Store>Authorize This Computer and signing in with the ID.  Then you should be all set.
