Photoshop Album: problema pié foto en envíos

Tengo Adobe Photoshop Album SE 3.2.- Quiero enviar bastantes fotos a familiares pero no salen las anotaciones a pié de foto. ¿Cómo las pueden ver con mis notas, cuando las reciban? ¿Deben bajarse el programa?

Mi cámara es marca "Nisupa" (O sea, ni su padre lo sabe) y marca las fotos como cámara "4MDSC".
He visto una Rollei que es exactamente igual por fuera y en características, pero no se si será la misma.
El problema que veo, tras investigar el tema, es que las fotos que el photoshop album reconoce la fecha aparece como: "sábado, 18 de junio de 2005 17:37:15", mientra que las de mi cámara aparece como "2005/09/03 19:50:52"
Puede que sea un problema de configuración de formatos de fecha, pero no soy capaz de ver donde decirle al Album que use otro tipo de fecha... o a la cámara que le ponga la fecha en otro formato.
Esperaré nuevas versiones...

Ich drücke "ja" und danach erscheint schon wieder eine Meldung:
"Beim Öffnen des Katalogs Mein Katalog ist ein Problem aufgetreten. Installieren Sie Adobe Photoshop 2.0 Starter Edition erneut"
Das Deinstallieren habe ich schon mehrmals versucht, jedoch ohne Erfolg...

Hm, dann bleibt nur der Versuch, zunächst PSA SE _komplett_ zudeinstallieren: also über Systemsteuerung/Software und dann unter C:\Programme\Adobe das entsprechende Programm-Verzeichnis löschen - dann noch die Verzeichnisse "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Adobe\Photoshop Album" sowie "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\<Benutzername>\Anwendungsdaten\Adobe\Photoshop Album" löschen. Evtl. noch in der Registry nach verwaisten Einträge suche ... Dann den Rechner neu starten und erneut die Installation versuchen. Problemas con Photoshop Album 2.0 y Photoshop CS2

Antes tenia photoshop Album 2.0 y hotoshop CS, y desde Album 2.0 podia ir por la opción editar con photoshop al CS2 directamente, en cambio desde que instale el CS2 me ha desaaparecido esta opcion y no puedo ir al CS2 de inguna forma. ¿alguien sabe a que se debe?

Buenos Dias, me sucedio un grave problema.
La semana pasada cree un diseno en photoshop CS por nombre (index.psd) y guardaba de lo mas
normal. El pasado lunes instale el Photoshop CS2 y ayer estaba trabajando con mi diseno y es
algo muy habitual que a cada momento este guardando para prevenir. Ayer mismo cree otro
diseno partiendo del anterior pero en este caso lo llame (contenido.psd) al igual guarde
cada modificacion que hacia y no me generaba ningun tipo de problemas, despues de trabajar
en photoshop cerre mis archivos y el programa y todo normal.
Hoy cuando fui a abrir mi carpeta donde estaban los dos archivos, pues no estaban y lo peor
del caso es que en ningun lado de windows se encontro, inclusive el jefe de seguridad de la
empresa donde trabajo, instalo un programa para recuperar archivos y aprecio solamente
(index.psd) pero totalmente corrumpido, es decir no servia y el otro archivo (contenido.psd)
jamas aparecio. Al parecer se elminaron por completo y mas nadie toca mi ordenador. Estoy
segura que ayer guarde todos los archivos antes de irme...
Quisiera que me ayudaran en este caso, nose si es algo que trae esta nueva version del CS2
que me borra los archivos.. Les agradeceria muchisimo.

Printing problems with Photoshop Album Starter Ed. 3.2 (Viewer)

Everytime I try to print a picture associated with Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 (Viewer) I get an error message saying it has "encountered a problem and needs to close." I will post the additional information it gives below. Can anyone please help!! Thank you very much! SCH

I would normally say reinstall, but since the program has been discontinued, and if you don't have your registration serial number, then the program will not unlock after 30 uses.
You could simply NOT print from the viewer, and print from within the program.
Or, you could have another program take over as the default viewer for jpeg files, and utilize another viewer (like Windows Picture and Fax viewer); instructions for changing here: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-xp/change-windows-default-picture-viewer/

Novato con problemas photoshop album

tengo photoshop album 2.0 y al abrir las fotos todas estan muy oscuras, supongo que será algun tipo de ajuste, pero no veo donde ni como, gracias por todos.

Acabo de bajar de adobe el try del photoshop album, el 2.0 y 3.0, en las preferencias de ellos no hay nada de configuracion de perfil ni nada, y me llama la atencion que te pase eso, o sea, yo las imagenes con el las veo como veo con cualquier soft en mi pc, y buscando no hay nada, es raro lo que te sucede.
Podrias checkear bien de que manera se ven con otros software en tu pc, y a su vez, podrias indicar con que soft ves de una manera ditinta las imagenes en relacion al photoshop album, asi veo como se te puede ayudar. Saludos.

Photoshop Album 2.0 Catalog problem

I have been using Photoshop Album 2.0 on my old computer (Windows XP) for some time. My new computer is Vista 32bit. I have installed Album 2.0 on the new computer. I have used Easy Transfer to transfer the Photoshop Album Catalog to the new computer. When I open Photoshop Album all I get is a blank catalog page. Does Vista support this version of Photoshop. How can I retrieve my pictures and settings.

It's not compatible with Vista, no.
You might try the free Album Starter Edition, although I'm not sure if you can just open an existing Album 2.0 catalog in it (I don't use either software, so I just don't know).
If your catalog is empty, then it's possible you didn't transfer the actual image files to the new computer.
Album only stores a link to the images on your hard drive, so you have to have the files in place for the catalog to see them.

Registration Problems with Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0

I have my registration code and I am able to click on the active "Unlock" program button but then it just closes the program and I have to start the program over again and the registration login screen shows up again and I'm in a viscous cycle.
Also... I cannot locate my photos stored in Photoshop Album?????? There are not in My Pictures folder in my computer either.
HELP... HELP.... HELP...... THANKS!!!!!!

My 2.0 carashes also. Thing is, it used to work, but I had to re-enter the unlock code, and everytime I enter it, the program crashes, and then I have to try it again. I can never start the program now. It's not a firewall issue

ich wollte mal fragen, ob mir jemand Infos geben kann, was an dem Organizer in Photoshop Elements 3 anders/besser ist als Photoshop Album 2.

Also: PSE 3 ist insgesamt "flüssiger" als PA 2 was die Oranisation von Bildern anbetrifft; demgemäß: Empfehlenswert. Aber: PDF Diashows, ggf. mit Musik, kannst du mit PSE 3 nicht mehr erstellen. Ich finde das überaus eigentümlich! Und aus diesem Grund habe ich also neben PSE 3 auch noch PA 2 laufen, nur um diese Diashows weiterhin erzeugen zu können. Echt beknackt!!! Die Möglichkeit der Erzeugung von Versionsstapeln und allgemeien Fotostapeln ist schon sehr ordentlich, und die Abfrage, nachdem ein Foto bearbeitet wurde, wie und wo es den nun gespeichert werden soll, ist in PSE 3 auch bedeutend besser, nachgerade komfortabel, geworden als in PA 2. Wenn Du also auf PSE 3 umstellen willst: Tu es! Wenn Du allerdings so wie ich auf diese pdf Diashows (im Albummodus) "scharf" bist, dann laß es besser mit der Umstellung oder du mußt es wie ich parallel laufen lassen, was allerdings kein Problem ist, denn PSE 3 und PA 2 speichern ihre Kataloge an unterschiedlichen Stellen, sodaß sich die Kataloge nicht ins Gehege kommen. Mein PA 2 Katalog ist vollkommen leer. Ich lade dort nur die Bilder, die ich in einer Diashow präsentieren will, und lösche sie anschließend wieder aus dem Katalog, bis ich die nächste Show erstelle. Soy un poco negada para esto de la informatica, pero aun asi aki estoy...
El caso es que tengo mvl nuevo (sony ericsson k610i), y he instalado en mi pc este programa: "adobe photoshop album starter edition 3.0".
Hasta aqui todo bien, pero el problema viene kuando lo abro, y veo que esta en ingles, y no tengo ni idea de como manejarlo.
Por favor echadme una manita xfiii, explicadme como funciona, porque no tengo ni la mas minima idea.

Importieren aus Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Editon 3.2

Ich kann meine Fotos aus dem Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Editon 3.2 nicht zu Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 importieren. Alle anderen Fotodateien die auf dem Rechner sind wurden ohne Problem importiert. Kann mir jemand bei diesem Problem helfen. Ich habe viele alte Familienfotos unter der alten Adobe Photoshop Version gespeichert und würde sie gerne in die neue Version importieren.

Here is a more thorough response to your question.
Photoshop Album has been discontinued for several years now, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution; you could try Picasa from Google, or the Windows built in photo gallery app; both essentially do what Starter Edition did, with respect to organizing photos for you.
You photos remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive (see more thorough description below). To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. Google 'how to find photos on Windows XP' for helpful links on locating files in your file system.
Some background about how Starter Edition worked:
It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files. The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.

Two days ago I introduced photos of my baby into my PC and automatically went into the programm Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2. Then they were deleted of my photo camera. Then I wanted to access to the photos in the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 but I read that since the end of Juny we need a decodification code and that now it is not availabel. So I don't have this code and I need to access to the photos. Please, somebody can help me?. Thank you.

I just find fixed issues where there is not shown my problem and I cannot find the way to write my question about my need of a code for Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2. Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0, migrate to iPhoto?

After 20 years owning PCs, I bought my first Mac. I have about 13,000 photos cataloged in Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to preserve my organization in iPhoto (or even if it's possible).
Photoshop Album uses an external database that permits hierarchies, like Places - MD_MontgomeryCo - Rockville eg. I probably have 30 or 40 counties, some with as many as 100 locations.
I don't think keywords are quite the same, although organizing by album might help. I've downloaded Keyword Assistant from a Mr. Ferry iirc, and that makes keywords much more manageable. But I can't imagine tagging to create anything like my hierarchy of places.
Any thoughts or experience?
Oh, and how do you change the headings that seem to be automagically applied to each new batch of imported files?

I have been doing some research, though, and the chances of getting the tagging out of PSA 2.0 seem very small ...
However, I have found three theoretical possibilities.
1) I have tried the first steps of this 'solution' without any success, but I will mention it anyway, perhaps you are more lucky: There is a PC based photo cataloging application called IMatch (http://www.photools.com/). For this application someone has created a set of scripts, the first of which is capable of extracting the PSA 2.0 catalog into a plain text file (http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/flow-catalog-imatch.html). I have been unable to make this work, but if you succeed, a second script (mentioned on the above website) should be able to import the tags into IMatch. As I understand, IMatch is capable of embedding the tags as IPTC keywords in the image files. I guess you could use a free trial version of IMatch for this operation, and if you should get this far, it should be possible to import the IPTC keywords info into iPhoto with this script (http://scriptbuilders.net/files/iphotoiptckeywordimportexportutilities1.0.1.html). Well, this was all theory, but maybe it could be useful ...
2) A second possibility is, that PSA 2.0 stores its caption in the EXIF Description field. Assuming you don't use the caption in PSA 2.0, you could go through your catalog one tag after another and write each tag into the captions of all the images, it is attached to. If it's possible to search in the EXIF Description feld in iPhoto, you could reverse the process when you have imported the images into iPhoto.
3) Newer versions of PSA (called Photoshop Elements) exist for the Mac. I guess they must be able to import from older versions of PSA, but I don't know.
I don't know if this is of any use, but I just wanted to share my own thougts of this process.

How do I get my videos to all work correctly in Photoshop Album Starter Edition Ver. 3.0?

I have been using version 3.0 for the last 3 years and had no problems with any of my videos playing once they were downloaded from my mobile phone or camera to version 3.0 until August 2007 but now a lot of them say 'The selected file cannot be played'. All the files that don't work are '.AVI' files and the only thing I can see they have in common is that in the file name it says -1x-1 next to the file size and length of the clip, whereas the working files have full numbers i.e. 640*480. I still have a couple of files downloaded after August 2007 that do play but not many. Is there any way I can change the settings or recover these files so they will actually play?

It seems to me that these problematic files may not be .avi files, or are corrupted; it doesn't seem likley that it's a setting in Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
Do any of those files play in Windows Media player? Another possibility could be that these files are sidecar files to your video files; are there similarly-named video files that work fine? If so, then I would suspect that these .avi files are, again, not .avi files, and could be simply text info that goes along with your .avi files, and could be ignored (removed from the catalog).

Photoshop Album to iPhoto

Hi together,
I stopped to support Bill G. and moved to Apple a few days ago... I have 2000 photos being digitalized from real photo. They were maintained in Photoshop Album with Tag, Dates, etc.
A) Is there a possibility to pull this information anyhow? I don't want to update more than 2000 photos by hand; if this is the case, my turn to Mac was probably a mistake!
B) Furthermore I added information at Windows (as description, etc.) to those files. But it seems, that my Mac is not able to read this information... Is this possible and what I have to do?

Terence, You sound like you may be the best one to ask this question. I find the iPhoto method of tagging the photos very easy to use as in our daily work process there are maybe 20-30 basic variables features of our images and then we can combine a few simple clicks to properly tag each image. I have done this for thousands of our images here at the office ( on my Mac) and the problem I am facing is now that I have done that I am having my employees connect to my iPhoto over our network and they cannot search my photos using the tags, and I am not able to or I have not been able to figure out how to export my images to a main database of images with the tags attached. Do you know of anyway to work around this ? note we are still in 10.4 OS and still using iPhoto 6.0 , would upgrading solve this problem? thanks in advance - Eric

Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0.

Is anyone ever experience the problem to send/ register to adobe product registration?
I just got my new notebook, and this Photoshop Album SE 3.0 have been installed on the program files.
I have been trying to send the product/ register to adobe registration (which they request to make me able to continue using the program), but it keep says "internet send failed".
It's nothing wrong with my internet connection because I have been browsing around all the time, but I never able to send the registration.
Now, I only have 7 times left to be able to use this program without register.
PLEASE HELP ME. I need to be able to use this program everyday... and I am frustated.

Hi, Seems like your prefernces got corrupted.
