Photoshop Elements 12 funktioniert nicht unter Windows 8 richtig

Hallo Zusammen,
ich habe den Rechner neu installiert. Bei der Testversion von Photoshop Elements 12 lassen sich keine Pinsel auswählen. Das Fenster schließt immer wieder. Voran liegt das? Ist die Testversion im Funktionsumgang eingeschränkt. Wer kann mir helfen?

Adobe hat u. a. diesen Hinweis bereitgestellt: Photoshop Elements doesn't respond when you use editing tools in Mac OS X 10.10. Die deutschsprachige Seite hat sich leider nicht geöffnet.

Hallo, bei mir funktioniert bei Neuinstallation die Panoramafunktion nicht.
Ich habe den Verdacht, dass Elements 10 unter Win8 gar nicht läuft.
Kann irgendjemand was dazu sagen?
Es ist mir nicht möglich, einen direkten Kontakt zu Adobe zu finden... und auf zwei Fragen im englischen und deutschen Forum gibt es seit einer Woche keine Reaktion.

Ich hatte vor der Erstinstallation im Netz auch die Info gefunden, DASS Elements10 mit Win8 kompatibel sei. Sonst hätte ich es gar nicht drauf gespielt.
Bisher funktionierte auch alles. Als ich aber jetzt die Panoramafunktion nutzen wollte, schließt sich das Programm sofort mit Windows-Fehlerhinweis. Ich kann nicht mal ein Foto auswählen. Allein schon die Auswahl von Photomerge/Panorama lässt das Programm aussteigen.
Desintalltion/Neuinstallation brachte nichts.
Kompatibilitätsprüfung über die Programmverknüpfung auf dem Desktop hatte ich auch schon gemacht. Das bringt als Ergebnis die Ansage, dass es ein Upgrade gäbe und führt mich dann kurioser Weise zu dieser niederländischen Seite, die einfach nur Elements 12 bewirbt: Beeldeditor, beeldbewerking | Adobe Photoshop Elements 12

Das mit dem Supportchat funktioniert bei mir nicht. Da kommt gar kein Button für den Chat (weder aktiv noch deaktiviert), sondern lediglich das Forum als Kontaktmöglichkeit.
Der Laptop ist ansonsten auf dem neuesten Stand. Ich wüsste nicht, welche Software kein aktuelles Update enthielte. Ich habe das entweder automatisch aktiviert oder erhaltene Nachricht für Updates.

Photoshop 7 startet nicht unter Windows 8

Nach einem Crash meines alten PC mit Windows 7, auf dem Photoshop 7 problemlos lief, habe ich jetzt Photoshop 7 auf einem PC mit Win 8 installiert. Das ging ebenfalls ohne Probleme. Erst beim Versuch, das Programm zu starten, kam die Meldung: Photoshop kann nicht initialisiert werden weil das Albeitsvolumen voll ist." und das bei mehr als 500 MB freiem Festplattenspeicher un 8GB Arbeitsspeicher.
Das Update (German) von 2003 auf Ihrere Homepage wurde problemlos installiert, brachte aber keine Änderung in diesem Punkt.
Ich möchte gerne mit Photoshop 7 weiterarbeiten, was kann ich tun???

Die Partition ist zu groß. Solche alten Programme kommen nicht mt Partitionen über 384 GB bzw. 512GB kalr, weil es so große platten damals einfach noch nicht gab und Windows diese Funktionen nicht hatte. partition verkleinern/ teilen und gut is...

hab das selbe Problem seit dem Update
allerdings scheint nur die 64bit Version nicht zu starten.
Ich kann zumindestens die reguläre 32bit Version soweit zum laufen bringen, dass die "normalen" Funktionen gehen.
Allerdings funktionieren dort Sonderfunktionen wie das HDR-Pro nicht.
Die 32bit Version findest Du im Windows 7 Programme(x86) Ordner unter Adobe
Teste mal ob die bei Dir geht.

You are allowed to have two activated installations. If you happened to have one on this Windows 8 machine before, it is possible that the activation used for it was never deactivated (did you deactivate it before you upgraded Windows?). Talk to Adobe support thru chat. They might be able to resolve this with you:

As a fairly new user of Photoshop Elements 11 I would like to burn just a few photos to a cd, not he whole catalogue. Please can somebody suggest an answer to this problem.

Is Photoshop Elements 11 compatible with Windows 8.1?

Is Photoshop Elements 11 compatible with Windows 8.1? I got a new computer 2 months ago and have been loading in my photos and pngs slowly and tagging all of them. If I understand correctly, even though I am saving the tagging to the metadata, Elements warns me that it will not save to pngs, which is what most of mine are. As I have added about half now (about 100 hours of tagging) my computer is freezing up and will no longer open my Elements. My computer completely froze and needed tech support for several hours to get anything to work again. The tech support couldn't find any malware to explain this problem and have concluded that the Elements is not compatible with my operating system. I have not been really pleased with this computer from the start and am not totally convinced that Elements is the cause of the initial lock up of my computer. I am willing to purchase a newer version of Elements if that is the problem, but am worried I will get a newer Elements, go through the loading and tagging process and have the same thing happen again, especially if I have to retag everything I just did. I cannot find anywhere that specifically states whether Elements 11 is compatible with Windows 8.1 (only windows 8). Before I go to a lot of trouble, does anyone know for sure whether Elements 11 is compatible with Windows 8.1? Thanks,Donna

PSE11 will run as a 32-bit application in W8.1-64, PRE11 will run as a 64-bit application.

Photoshop Elements 13 running in Windows 8.1 hangs immediately after starting

Photoshop Elements 13 running in Windows 8.1 hangs immediately after starting. Has to be shut down by Task Manger. Task Manger shows that it is still using some CPU. Ran Procmon (part of Sysinternals) which shows that it is in a loop. Stack trace shows it is executing code in AMTValidateProductLicense.dll. Started happening about a month after I installed PSE. Everything used to work fine at first. Have tried going back to an old image of Win 8.1 on a different hard drive, otherwise same computer, and installed PSE 13 from DVD. That installation never worked, it aways hangs. If I do a clean boot, it sometimes runs long enough for me to click on a menu item and then hangs the same way. And, yes I bought a new DVD to run on this computer, never been used in any other way. Any ideas how I can get PSE running properly?

It really doesn't look like a licensing issue, it seems to be code in the area of license validation that isn't working.
I took your suggestion and initiated a couple of chat sessions with support, but so far still no luck. The latest session with Neeraj seemed to be promising. After some investigation he asked to reinstall. First he uninstalled with Revo Uninstall, which seemed to be pretty thorough. That required a restart, so he set things up to restore his conference session and took my phone number. Unfortunately I guess his connection didn't come back. When I didn't hear from him after a couple of hours I tried installing Photoshop and Premiere myself. As before, Premiere works and Photoshop doesn't. When I start Photoshop, the window opens and for a couple of seconds menus open when I click on them. Then the window freezes and I have to use Task Manager to kill it. So basically, I've tried several things but I'm back where I've been all along, I can't get Photoshop to work. I'd really appreciate suggestions about something else to try.
I wish someone at Adobe was interested in the Process Monitor traces I've made, because I'm sure someone who knows the code would be able to figure out pretty quickly what's happening. Is it trying to read a file that's not there, failing to write a file, failing to make an internet connection or what? It really shouldn't be this hard to figure out.

PSE 11 and Windows 8 and/or Outlook 2013 have several reported bugs. For example Outlook 2013 and PSE 11 are incompatible because all features (for example Photomail) do not work. Adobe will not support Outlook for email. The user community is unsure of whether it is an Outlook or Windows compatibility problem - but it something!

You could try to run it in compatibility mode/ XP emulation. Beyond that I don't think youz will have much luck. It's simply too old and even if it would run, the compatibility issues with your system's drivers and security mechanisms will get on your nerves...

All Elements versions for Windows including PSE12 are 32 bits applications which can run without problems on Windows 64 bits.
You can download the free 30 days trial version to see by yourself.
(The 'Premiere Elements' for Windows is 64 bits. PSE12 for Mac is 64 bits)

of course, elements 1 was not designed to be compatible with win 8.1 and it seems likely ms didn't design win 8.1 to be compatible with software that old.
