I want to download photoshop texture preset texturizer for CS5. For Mac OS
I am looking for the puzzel psd texture.

  • Photoshop Texture to Dreamweaver

    Hey!
So, I created the layout of a website in photoshop. As the background for the body, I picked a standard photoshop texture.
My question is, how do I export this texture as a small image (128x128ish) that I can repeat it as the background for the body in Dreamweaver? Basically, how do I find the part of the image that repeats seamlessly?
    Thanks!

Just hover the cursor over the pattern’s icon in Edit > Preset Manager > Patterns and the appearing text should give you the pixel dimensions, then you can create a file that size and fill it with the pattern.

  • Don't have photoshop textures?

I got photoshop cs5 as a trial but than entered my purchased serial code. But now, I only have two textures that show up in my blending options window. I need all of them for some text effects that I am doing. Does anyone know how I can get them? Thanks for any help.

You can load the rest via the drop down menu in the textures palette.

  • Where are the Photoshop 'default' textures?

Hi, I'm trying to complete a PS tutorial about making historical styled typography.  The tutorial is online at  www.tutorialhero.com.  The tutorial uses two textures which are 'DIRT' and  'ROCKWALL'  which it refers to as being found in,  "Default Photoshop Textures".  I can't find any 'default textures' and I've tried HELP and looked around on the web.  Are there any Default Textures in CS5 ? Anybody any ideas please?

You can use a pattern fill layer and select the Rock Patterns from the
    flyout menu.

  • How do i Install and Load PNG. textures on Photoshop CC?

I downloaded photoshop textures packs from Tumblr and I unzipped all the folders and dragged all the PNG files onto Patterns.
Was what I did the incorrect way for installing textures? I then tried to load the textures, but they somehow don't appear in the Layer Style>Textures menu
I was then told to convert the PNG files to greyscale PSD files using photoshop's batch converter. But that didn't work either!
I thought that it was going to be as easy as installing and loading brushes into @photoshopCC
Can somebody please give me in depth details (less complicated) of how to install/load textures onto photoshop (
    Many thanks

Yes what you did was wrong.    If what you downloaded were PNG files what you downloaded were image files.  Photoshop patterns are stored in sets and these pattern set files have an extension of .pat.  If you look into Photoshop Preset Pattern folders that is what you will see.   You can open your PNG image in Photoshop and use menu Edit>Define Pattern on each. That will add patterns into to the loaded patterns list in Photoshop.  You can then open Photoshop Preset Manager  use the pull-down menu to manage Patterns. Highlight all the patterns you just defined and save a pattern set for them.

  • Having an issue with textures.

    Hello!
I have been having an issue with textures. and before I upgrade to 6, I thought I had better address this.. sorry to say still in PS3.. anyway, I have an action set called Quickmats and they have been working great in my wkflow for years.  One day they were gone, I reloaded and now the actions work ok for set ups, but the textures do not
work, they all look the same.  The photoshop texture by default look similar... if I switch there to change it, it looks like hardly any change has happened.  can anyone explain this, or help out.  Much appreciated.

  • Songs slowing down when I type

I'm running iTunes 7.7.1 on a new computer. iTunes had no problem on my old one, but on my new one, the songs slow down when I type, which is rather annoying, since I listen to music while, you know, typing. I'm on WinXP Pro, and everthing else is working great. Any ideas?

What tools, Mostly I work with iWeb using iPhoto, Aperture, Photoshop TeXture Adobe FormsCentral for Acrobat etc. making and editing Web Sites. Often I have many Apps open simultanously.

  • "Overprint" object not displaying

A one color log, spot color Illustrator file was accidently set to "overprint." When placed in InDesign, on top of a grayscale Photoshop texture, it never show up as an overprint. It never showed up in any prints or PDFs. It wasn't until the printer delivered a proof that the logo showed up as transparent, overprinting the grayscale image.
Should it have appeared in an earlier PDF? My own prints were done on an office inkjet, so I kinda understand why it didn't show up there.

That's what overprint preview is for.
With Reader 9 it would have shown up but in Acrobat you'd need to enable
auto overprint preview for all files.

  • I can change from grayscale slider to hsb slider

I did a grid in photoshop using a tutorial in this website http://www.webdesign.org/web/photoshop/textures-&-patterns/grid.3792.html and I got it, but now a want to to a boder for each grid but the Grayscale slider prevails and all of the others sliders are off. I go to the color palette and click at the top right of the palette and a menu appears the with options like grayscale sliders, RGB Sliders, HSB slider, CMYK Sliders, Lab sliders, and HTML sliders the online one on is the Grayscale sliders after that all of them are off
The layer menu is off completely, and some other features in the photoshop cs3, and when I go and save the file the GIF, JEGP and all other common formats are off, I can't save the file on those formats because psp, photoshop pdf and other that I am not interested on. I want gif, jegp etc.
I have just realize that when I created a new documents I might put it in the grayscale mode only.
What do you think about it guys I want to be able to apply boders and save it in gif, jepg and other common format

There aren't many reasons why you would start out with a grayscale document, even if you want only a grayscale image because RGB gives you more control so make sure that Color Mode is RGB Color

  • Why is the "Free texture" not available to Photoshop Photography Plan subscribers?

I have subscribed to the Adobe CC Photography Plan since August 2013.  Today I received an email from Adobe with the subject line "New Benefits Added to your Creative Cloud Photography Plan."  The email linked to a web page.  On that page, I clicked the link "Enter the Magical World of Trey Ratcliff."  On that page, there was a link "Free Adobe Photoshop CC texture" (http://inspire.adobe.com/2014/11/7/free_adobe_photoshop_cc_texture.html).  I decided to try the texture - Metal Texture 08 by Niklas K. Andersen.
Using the Creative Cloud Desktop app on Windows, I found my way to the Market.  For you information, this was my first time using the Market feature.  When I attempted to add it to "My Library," I got the message
"Market Assets are a Premium feature only available to 'CC Complete' and 'Single App' members"
    Two questions:
as a subscriber to the CC Photography Plan, am I not a 'Single App' member?
If the answer to (1) is no, then why doesn't Adobe make it clear that the "Free Texture" is only for premium subscribers?

  • 3d modeling and texturing in Photoshop CS3 Extended

I spent longer than I care to admit today trying to figure out how to get a model into Photoshop and texture it.  I couldn't find any native tools for modeling or texturing, which led me to do these things in external tools, relying on Photoshop for compositing and rendering.  Hopefully future versions of Photoshop will make this easier.
I first tried Google Sketchup, but was having trouble figuring out how to texture and UV map the model, so I turned to Discreet's GMax.  A few years back, Discreet released a free version of 3D Studio MAX without the rendering or exporting features, targeted at game developers.  GMax's interface is just like 3D Studio MAX, so if you have any experience there, you're golden.
The trick is getting the file out of GMax and into Photoshop without ruining the textures.  To do this, I used Baltram's ASE Exporter, which is a script that traces the geometry of your model into the MAXScript console.  You can then copy/paste this into a text file, with an ASE extension, or use GMaxSLGrab to do it for you.  Finally, I used Biturn to convert from ASE to 3DS, and imported into Photoshop using File>Open.
    GMax -> http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
    Biturn -> http://mirex.mypage.sk/FILES/bi088.rar
    ASE Exporter -> http://urnemanden.com/dload/asc+aseExpv2.11_en.ms
Note: GMax is intended for use by the independent/homebrew game community.  If this is not your intention, you may want to check the GMax EULA.  I am not responsible for any use of the above information to violate it - proceed at your own risk.

CS3 was still available in Feb 2009.  I know because I bought it from adobe at that time from their website.  I have the same problem.  It doesn't work.  The support person told me it doesn't work in Leopard, which was the current OS for Macs.  I'm thinking they shouldn't be selling the software if it doesn't work, but apparently they don't care.
Not only are you making very dubious claims, you are posting them in the wrong forum!

No overclocking or any other system tricks or tweaks.
Only payed licensed and trusted opensource / freeware programs installed.
Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 x64 installed as part of the CS5.5 Web-Premium.
    The Problem:
Ok, so in Google SketchUp (8.0.4811, free edition) I have prepared a 3D model of 6 simple boxes in different sizes, as well as an underlying plane.
Each face of the model has it's own unique texture already set up in SketchUp.
Using the export functionality included in the base install of SketchUp I exported the model in the formats dae and kmz.
Importing the model in PS5.1x64 works fine, as well as positioning etc.
Once I select a certain face to have its diffusion-texture replaced, the program crashes with the above error. This only happens on some faces, not all of them.
If I double click on the specific texture using the layer module, it opens it fine. The original texture loads fine too. Once updated, the program crashes. Also if selected using the 3D module, the program crashes.
    I have tried:
    * importing the model into different types of clean empty documents
    * importing dae instead of kmz
    * apllying .png instead of .psd textures
    * setting performance options higher
    * toggling to several different types of combinations for the 3D-view
Have not tried yet, but will do so and keep this post updated:
    * redo the model in SketchUp
    * redo the model using Blender (if above does not work)
Hope to have helped you fix the bug. Couldnt find a decent section ("free support" :/) elsewhere to post this.
    best regards, -david c.

@ Mylenium - Thank you for the tip/info!
@ Chris - Have sent you the file causing the problems.
So far I have redone the whole model using SketchUp again. I created each box in a separate file, following the exact same steps and not doing a single click too much, like defining or applying textures twice.
Imported all boxes into a fresh SketchUp file, positioned them the way i wanted, and then exploded all compounds (boxes).
For now I have not had any troubles after importing this into Phothoshop.
Will keep you updated if this changes.
Thanks for the quick support guys! Hope my file helps w/ ironing out bugs and / or importing procedures.
    best regards, -davic c.

  • How can I enable Texture filters on a 16 bit file in Photoshop CC?

I am trying to use the texture filters in Photoshop CC and when I try to open them on a 16 bit file the texture category is grayed out. I have a method  from a Peachpit article by Helen Bradley that uses texture filters to apply a border around an image. How can I enable texture filters?

If you are talking about the Filter Gallery, you can't use that on 16 bit files. What you can do is duplicate the current 16 bit file and convert to 8 bit, run the various filters to get the border around you image than take the border from the 8 bit file and copy/paste it back into the 16 bit file...

  • Help, photoshop cs6 doesn't have textures

Hi, I recently tried to create a puzzle using photoshop cs6 following this tutorial http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/photoshop-puzzle/
problem is that when i reach step 6 i cant find the texture option under filter, here is an image of my photoshop, its in spanish but i already checked and none of the options is texture, also in C/Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS6/Presets there should be a folder called "Textures" but i cant find it, help, how do i create a puzzle if i dont have this?

This is what you do. Open Photoshop, select the layer you want to apply the puzzle to and select "Filter" from the main menu, then select "Filter Gallery", then select "Texture" and choose "Texturizer", now click the flyout menu and choose "Load Texture"
Now navigate to your ...Photoshop/Presets/Textures folder and choose "puzzle.psd" and click Open.
Now you can adjust the settings as desired.

  • Photoshop CS6 Extended Load/Replace Texture Command Issues

In the 3d Materials Panel in Adobe Photoshop Extended CS6, the REPLACE TEXTURE and LOAD TEXTURE commands for the 3d materials seem to create a single  "smart" texture that all other textures created via the "replace/load texture" commands link to.
For instance, to texture a sphere using a Photoshop file, I first created a file called "horizontal stripes for 3d peel.psd" and saved it on my desktop.
I went to the Materials Panel>Diffuse>(Clicked icon to right of "Diffuse") and chose "Load Texture>"horizontal stripes for 3d peel.psd," to apply it to my sphere.  I then edited this diffuse file by right-clicking the icon to the right of "Diffuse," choosing "Edit" and adding a color layer at the top of the layer stack, then saving (not saving as) and closing the Diffuse .PSB smart object  file.
I then loaded a texture to the Opacity material of my sphere using the same Photoshop file on my desktop called "horizontal stripes for 3d peel.psd",
going to Materials Panel>Opacity>(Clicking the  icon to the right of "Opacity") and choosing "Load Texture>"horizontal stripes for 3d peel.psd,"  When I opened this file to edit it by right-clicking the icon to right of "Opacity" and choosing "Edit," I found I'd loaded not the original file on my desktop that I had chosen, but my edited "Diffuse" file. Furthermore, these Diffuse and Opacity files appear not to be independently editable--they behave like linked Smart Objects, and when one is edited, the other is updated with the changes.
Is this a bug? I can't find any mention of this behavior in the Photoshop User Manual. I'm using Windows 7, and I get the same behavior on 2 different computers with Photoshop.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/3d-panel-settings-photoshop-extended.html
I had hoped to use the Load/Replace texture command as a quick way to load up independently editable versions of the same file to the different 3d material attributes (opacity, shine, etc.), but that doesn't seem possible.   Or is there a better way to do this?
    Thanks!
    Jeff Combs

    Postscript:
I just started working with Extruded 3d shapes, and 3d text, and, as it turns out, this is actually a dandy feature, since these 3d objects each contain multiple elements to apply textures to (ex. Front Inflation Material, Front Bevel Material, Extrusion Material, etc.) that would be pain to edit individually, rather than via a single Smart Layer, especially if you plan to use the same materials for each.
So, anyway, onwards to more adventures as I climb the Photoshop 3d learning curve. I've been a wee-bit frustrated that this learning curve seems to be more difficult because the Adobe Photoshop_CS6 reference PDF file seems to reference mostly CS5 and, more often than not, references CS5 interfaces. For instance, in the CS6 manual—the sections on 3d concepts and Tools, 3d Panel Settings, 3D rendering and saving—to name a few—all explicitly refer to Photoshop CS5 Extended! So, if anyone knows of a detailed source of CS6 information, I’d be grateful.
