.php files downloading rather then displaying

I have an X Serve with OS x 10.5.6
Apache is running fine, I have created a test .php file and put it in WebServer/Documents.
When I try to view it through a browser, it DOWNLOADS the php file rather then just displaying it in Safari. It opens in TextEdit (what was used to create it).
What is wrong?

In the Client OS Apache is running all the time.
In Server you should have options to start or stop it so you can edit files.

I have the same thing happening on my iPod Touch 5th gen. Been happening for at least a month. I have updated to the most recent version of iOS which hasn't solved the issue. Must be a bug that they didn't get around to resolving yet, a year later. Really annoying to have it pop up when you are in the middle of a game though.

Why can't I get downloads e.g. Adobe reader 10 with FF Beta4.8 using XP home sp3 and NIS11 when the file downloads and then auto-deletes before I can use it?

The downloads folder does not save files when they are downloaded.
problem particularlly with binary files e.g. adobe reader 10
NIS has been deactivated and problem persists.
Initially downloads are canceled. When retry option is selected file downloads in window but sub directory shows file while downloading and then it is deleted

Unknown file downloaded and then trashed

I was just downloading an audiobook (which I do often) and saw in my downloads file called gamemaster 1.1 which I don't remember downloading (Dec 1) and can't imagine how it could have happened. It is now in my trash so I am thinking that it might have been a grandchild who did something but I don't remember any of them being here on that day at all. I am worried about a virus or spyware causing that and don't know what it is. Is there a program that I can safely use to find out? I have had my iMac for almost a year and don't have any antivirus or spyware programs on the computer but my old PC paranoia has me worried. If anyone knows what this program is (Gamemaster 1.1 pkg) and if it can cause harm please let me know. Hope this question makes sense. I am not on a network. I have a modem so no other computers are connected to this one.

There are no viruses for os x.
Spyware:
Grabs data from your computer & ofen uses it for the purposes of evil, sending personal info to a baddie or when you're using your web browser, redirecting you to site you don't want to visit.

Just downloaded Firefox 5.0. Now, whenever I try to download a file, the Download Window opens, I see the progress of the file downloading, but then it disappears. The Downloads Window is blank. I can't find the downloaded file anywhere on my computer.

I cleared the list of downloaded files in the Download Window. Now the window is blank, even though I have downloaded several files.

You can check the History settings in :
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Remember download history"

User upload of non JPG image files to be then displayed in iScripts

I am attempting to build a tool for non-technical users to easily create quick link pagelets with icons that point to URLs or Content References. One of the issues I am running into is the image upload PeopleCode commands seem to limit the file type to jpegs. Jpeg do not allow transparent backgrounds which makes it hard to take seals and similar icons and just super impose them over a background. When I looked at the file attachment functions I did not see a way to output a web server URL for image to be included on a page it only looked like there were only ftp server calls. Any thoughts?

Use the File Attachment API (AddAttachment) to upload files to a database table, and then use an iScript to serve them. This blog post has an example iScript for reading attachments from tables: http://jjmpsj.blogspot.com/2009/01/exporting-attachments-part-2.html.

I have a ALV report which I have web enabled using ITS service. In the ALV there is a delivered functionality for file download. It works fine when the report is run in the SE80. But when I run the ITS service for the report and choose file download option it displays a page saying "this page has been diaplayed due to technical reasons" with title "File properties". In addition it looks for Java runtime in the browser. After all this it opens a popup window for selecting path and file name.
This is not user friendly and many customers have rasied their concerns on it.
My question is that,
Q1: What is the need of this "File properties page"? Why ITS calls this while ABAP editor does not?
Q2: Is there any way we can suppress this so that it directly opens a popup window for selecting path and file name?
Please help me.

We have in between installed patch 22 for ITS 6.20 and SP18 at SAP Netweaver 2004!
But they are still not processed invisible for the users.
Are there any additional parameters, which controls this behaviour(~webgui_updown_make_visible is not used!)?
How can i check, if i have really a.ex. the actual ws.jar-file or other related files of the patch?
We are using the standalone ITS with an own (modified) IAC with an own CI-design for the webpages. The intermediate screens are displayed with the "normal" SAPGUI-design because of the parameter ~generatedynpro. Without this it does not work, because the template SAPLSIT_0100 is missing!
Or do you have an example for such a intermediate template with the applet for an upload of a file?

Firefox keeps asking me to open/download PHP file when it used to be able to display properly.

I use to be able to view local PHP files normally in Firefox with the PHP parts not rendered while the HTML parts are. Now all it does is ask whether I want to open or save it.
I've tried editing FF options so that it previews in FF but it doesn't accept any changes. I've cleared my cache and all that. I've tried deleting the mimeTypes.rdf file thing but I can't even find the folder it's in. I've tried disabling/enabling "prompts.tab_modal.enabled" in about:config and restarting FF.
All are no-go solutions.
Web PHP pages are loading properly, this problem only comes when I'm trying to load local PHP files. I don't want to install XAMPP or PHP on my computer just to view local files as I never had this problem before.
In the meantime, I've installed Chrome and it's loading a simple local PHP file just fine whereas FF is asking me to save/download when opening the SAME file. Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, on a somewhat related note, I cannot view mozillazine.org and any sub-domains under it in any browsers. This may be happening to other users as well?
It's always stuck at "Waiting for ..." or "Connecting to ..." and that's it. Then FF gives up with a "Server connection time-out" notice. Clearing cache and all that doesn't work because I was trying to view those pages before starting this topic.

PHP page link is trying to download instead of displaying

Hello -
I created a php login page that had User Authentication and a
Dynamic List on it. The login page was displayed when a user
clicked on a button from a previous page. At the beginning the php
login page would display correctly after pressing the button from
the earlier page, but while I was working on the login page itself
I would just display it (press F12). After I thought I was almost
done, I tried to get to the login page from the button but it
didn't work anymore! I get asked if I want to save or open the
file, then when I select Open it takes me to Dreamweaver. I have
taken out all of the connnections to the database (php code) to see
if it would make the php file show up again, but it doesn't. Can
anyone tell me what is going on here?

Firefox won't open localhost files, it downloads the file instead and then won't show images, IE9 localhost works fine.

I have installed XAMPP to preview web pages locally. Everything works fine in IE9 but not in Firefox. When I load a localhost page Firefox downloads the file, then displays the downloaded file without showing images within the page.
So, in IE9 the address bar looks like this (correctly): http://localhost/my_sites/WebMaestro/Exercises/Lesson8/changeImage.html
In Firefox the address bar looks like this: file:///C:/Users/Rog/AppData/Local/Temp/changeImage-3.html

Are you using a Firefox extension like '''Auto Save Document ''' ? If you are using then you need to disable it. The documents are stored as html-text only (no embedded objects like pictures etc.) As a result the images don't appear on browser.

RTSP stream downloads video rather than displaying...

I've got an internet security cam that I can view on my PC as an RTSP stream with Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Real Player, etc.
My E71x has Real Player and when I enter the same address that streams on my PC, the MediaNet app starts to download the stream, rather than displaying the video. It will go as long as I leave it, downloading MB of data.
Does anybody know how to get this RTSP stream to display as video rather than download? I've tried Opera and Bolt but neither pull up Real Player like MediaNet. I know the RTSP on the phone must be working because the YouTube app works like a champ.

You can specify a folder on a computer (or iPhoto events etc on a Mac) though you may not get perfect control over display order.
Use iTunes>File>Home Sharing>Choose photos to share etc
iTunes would need to be running on teh LAN to support this.
