PI connecting to other system using SSL

Hi i tried to communicate to other server from our PI usng SSL, sapcrptyo is activated.. and other server Certificate is imported
Step that i do :
1. in the strust - environment - SSL CLient Identifies , i have create new entry called TESSSL. then
2. from STRUST , there is entry SSL Client test exist..  i have create the PSE by using the default entry.
3. I imported the other server SLL Cert, intemediate , root. and add it into the SSL Client test , Certificate list
4. Creating RFC type G, then  filled in the target host, prefix and port, also activating the SSL on logon & security tab, by choowing the "SSL Client test"
upon testing the connection i got ICM_HTTP_ERROR

  • Error connecting SAP BW System using EP6.0

    Hi All
I am trying to connect EP6.0 with SAP BW 3.1, using ITS.
I have created a 'system' in portal and my ITS test connection is successful. I chose 'SAP BW' as sytem instead of SAP R/3.
When I try to preview/access an iView which internally execute BW workbook, I am getting following error. Can anyone please guide me the possible solutions. As this is urgent, please provide help.
Sapgui 640 error window with the following message:

    Hi,
let me try to sort this out.
You want to use an ITS against a BW system using a SAP GUI for HTML. If you use the system type SAP R/3 everything is OK but if you use the system type SAP BW it doesn't work and you get a error message from your SAP GUI for Windows.
I'm not much aware of this but for me it looks like the portals iview is trying to use your SAP GUI for Windows to connect to your BW System (which is, as far as I understood, not what you intended).
If all my assumtions above are correct you should create a ITS iview (SAP IAC iView) against your BW system and everything should be OK then.

  • Is there any way to config iws6.0 to connect to LDAP directory using SSL client and server authentication.  Only SSL server authentication worked when I tried.

As my previous question, I followed the following instructions to setup up connection between iws and an LDAP server.
"Using SSL to Communicate with LDAP
You should require your Administration Server to communicate with LDAP using SSL. To enable SSL on your Administration Server, perform the following steps:
1.Access the Administration Server and choose the Global Settings tab.
2.Click the Configure Directory Service link.
3.Select Yes to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for connections.
    4.Click Save Changes.
5.Click OK to change your port to the standard port for LDAP over SSL. "
Q1. Any other steps needed to setup client authentication (or mutual authentication)?
Q2. Do I need to enable security for connection groups in order to have this setup to work?

    Check out:
    http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/60sp1/ag/esecurty.htm#1008113
You will need to turn on Client Auth as described above. Hope it helps.

  • Connections to other systems

    Hi,
I came to know that BD97 is also used to check the connections from R/3 to APO or other systems.
Does anyone know what's the advantage of using BD97 compared to SM59 and how do we check the connections in BD97?
    Thanks

    HI
    GOOD
SAP WMS - Decentralized Warehouse Management System Integration Setup
You can operate the SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) as a stand-alone decentralized system that is independent of a central Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
You make the necessary settings for the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system within the WMS component (Warehouse Management System).
The steps are set up as a checklist and guide you through the process of configuring the system parameters.
Checklist (For those with the Table Views used transaction code SM30).
    1. Customizing for "Enterprise Structure"
    - Create storage location in OX09 (if necessary).
    - Define warehouse number in Views V_T3001.
(you should not copy the warehouse number in the ERP system)
Activities within a warehouse, like goods movements and physical inventory, are assigned to a  specific
      warehouse number.
The physical warehouse where these activities take place is identified by the warehouse number.
    - Assign plant/storage location to warehouse number in Views V_T320.
(Valid if the component MM-IM (Inventory Management) is implemented.)
      Fields : Plant + Sloc + WhN
    2. Customizing for "Decentralized WMS integration", section "Central processing" -> Application
    - Activate decentralized WMS in Views V_T340DM.
    - Define interface to Inventory Management in Views :-
V_156S_WM - Assign WM movement type references to IM movement types
V_T3211   - Delivery-Relevant Parameters for Reference Movement Type
      V_T340DL  - Delivery-Relevant Data for Warehouse Number
    - Exclude stock in decentralized WMS in Views V_T321B
(if the decentralized WMS is not an SAP R/3 system)
    - Finally do a consistency check for decentralised WMS in transaction OL20.
    3. Customizing for "Application Link Enabling (ALE)", section "Basis Components"
Maintaining Logical Systems in Views V_TBDLS.
Assign logical system to client in Views T000.
    4. Make basic settings for RFC in transaction BD97.(if necessary)
    5. Customizing for "Application Link Enabling (ALE)", section "Maintain Distribution Model"
You can define the Reduce message types and Activate message types in transaction BD53.
SAP recommends that you use message types :
    "MATMAS" (material master tables) and
"DEBMAS" (customer master) as a template.
Be aware that only those fields that are absolutely necessary are transferred from the master data tables in
the ERP system to the decentralized WMS.
    6. Customizing for "Decentralized WMS integration", section "Central processing" -> Distribution
Use transaction OL19 to generate distribution model. As far as the application is concerned, when the model
is generated, application-specific Customizing parameters are modified or set (for example, activate
    decentralized WMS).
    Display or check distribution model
Generate partner profile in transaction BD82.
(you can also perform this activity using ALE Customizing)
Distribute distribution model in transaction BD64 (model view) using menu item "Edit"
If both the ERP system and the decentralized WMS are SAP R/3 systems, the distribution model should be
distributed on a central basis only, that is, via the ERP system.
    7. Customizing for "Application Link Enabling (ALE)", section "Maintain Distribution Model" (transaction BD64)
Activate the change pointers for master data distribution using transactin BD61.
If necessary, reduce the message types concerned with transaction BD53.
    8. Customizing for
"Logistics - General" - "Material Master" - "Tools" - "Data Transfer : Material Master" -
    -> "Define required-field check for ALE/Direct Input" (Views V_T130S)
Define whether an error message should be generated in the receiving system for required fields
    from the material master.
    thanks

  • Calling Transaction from other system using RFC

    Hi ,
I have one button on screen(say Screen-A), in ECC. when its pressed the transaction '/SAPAPO/BOPIN' gets called from APO.
For calling transaction from APO I am using FM - 'ABAP4_CALL_TRANSACTION'.
I want the initial screen of that transaction to retain some values which I fill on the Screen-A(the screen which has that button).
When I call the transaction from ECC itself (ex. C006), the initial screen of C006 retains the value on Screen-A.
I want the same to happen in case of calling transaction from APO.
How to achieve this?  Would it need the changes in IMG (SPRO)?
Please note that, Screen-A is initial screen of transaction 'md05' and I want to retain vaules of Material, MRP Area, Plant.
    Thanks,
    Sujeet

Builld a RFC enabled FM () that wrap the call of Smartforms (*) in the other system.

  • How to access time capsulewhen connected to other networks using back to my mac and iclous

so i need help on using the back to my mac through iCloud to connect to my time capsule so i can access my time capsule when im connected to other networks like at work, firends house, school so i can get my files and use the timemachine

Is the TC the main router in the network.. if not it doesn't work??
Did you read the instructions Apple give for connection via BTMM?
Most important.. you must have full access to icloud from behind whatever firewall your workplace, school etc has otherwise it won't work.
Finally, don't use TM over BTMM.. it is far too slow and is going to corrupt the backup.. there is a huge amount of checking going back and forth.. the general internet upload speed is not good enough. Just use cloud for backup on the move.. forget try to connect to TM. Or carry a 2.5" drive which are light and portable.

  • Questions about using FILE adapter to connect to other systems

    Hi,
in my PI scenario i am facing a problem in usage of the file adapter.
Our PI system is installed on a UNIX server. The target system for upload an download files is a WINDOWS system. The software installed on the WINDOWS system is only able to export the needed file lokal on the WINDOWS server.
Between UNIX systems i can connect a together used fileshare folder. But this won´t help me in my UNIX <> WINDOWS scenario.
I thougt on using an FTP server on the WIDNOWS system to make the PI able to connect via the FTP adapter but this works fine for one or two systems. I don´t think that this ist the best solution when connection to a lot WINDOWS systems, but mayby i am wrong.
Actually i use UC4 to copy the files between the two systems.
Any ideas how to deal generally with such scenarios?
    Many thanks
    Michael

Even though if you map Unix and Windows OS to read the files, in the long run the design will put you in trouble. Means it requires constant support. Better you go with unix script as per the above suggestion.

  • Connection with external System using AS2/SFTP adapter.

    Hi All,
I need to use SFTP/AS2 to connect to an external Server which is not in our landscape.
Can anybody could help whether i need to create a party on the Sender side as sender system is an external Server.
I have gone through many docs but i am not clear when to use party and when not..?
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul
Whether to use a party or not is both an architectural question as well as a development question.
Architecturally, if an external server is not in your landscape and belongs to a different company/entity, your scenario would be a B2B process. You can refer to the below link for more details about B2B, but I've included a short snippet below too.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/c7a475da5e31ebe10000000a42189b/content.htm
Using a communication party, you address a company that is involved in a B2B process.
The (technical) name of the communication party (for example Bosch) is the identifier for the company within an Integration Directory. To be able to identify the company during any external communication using a globally unique ID, you specify alternative identifiers for a communication party. For external communication, the name of the communication party that is known internally is mapped to the ID. A particular identifier is specified in the communication channel (see below).
In terms of development, not all adapters (FTP, SFTP, SOAP, etc) require the use of a party object when you develop a B2B integration scenario. There are companies which have implemented all B2B scenarios using those adapters in an A2A style (using just Business Systems.)
As Harish has mentioned, if you use the Seeburger AS2 adapter, you will need the party object (AS2ID is configured there), but if you use the SFTP adapter, it is optional.
For your case, I'd recommend going with Party to clear distinguish that it is a B2B process.

  • Not able to connect to other system

    Hi All,
    Currently have two Solaris 10 servers connected via a dumb Hub. I'm unable to ping either box but they can ping themselves. I have double checked physical connections and the following files;
/etc/hosts - verified that all devices are listed correctly
/etc/netmasks - Verified that network and netmask was correct
/etc/defaltrouter - deleted file as there is no router
    /etc/resolve.conf - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx listed as name server
/etc/nsswitch - removed dns from "host" line
/etc/inet/ipnodes - only local IP listed
Verified that correct NIC is enabled with ifconfig -a
    also
The Hub has lights but no traffic/flashing lights is occuring
Plugged in each server by themselves, still no flashing lights
The HUB does have power and is switched on, The only switch is the uplink/normal toggle switch. (currently set for normal)
    The Hub is a 8-port 3Com hub

  • Every time I turn on my computer there is a message asking if it is ok to connect to other systems. I always press no but the message keeps coming up when I start. How can I get rid of it?

When I turn on my computer a message pops up asking if I want to allow other user access to my system. I allway say no.  How can I get rid of this pop up?

Care to share which OS you are using?  iOS is not for computers.

  • Lost connection to other computers using 'LinkSys' router

DSL modem is connected to my Linksys wireless router. I have two other computers connected using an Ethernet cable (coming from the router). Yesterday my internet (SBC-Yahoo DSL) was down for the entire day. In the past both computers connected to the router would work just fine. In fact the laptop would work either connected via the Ethernet cable or with a wireless connection. Today neither of the computers connected to the router will connect. I have not changed any of the settings on either computer. Have reset the DSL modem (turned off and back on) and have reset the router (reset button). Any suggestions on this problem?

Can you connect to the router?
Open a browser and go to 192.168.1.1
    Verify the configuration options.
Also make note of the firmware version.
Then, for the moment, bypass the router and direct connect to the modem. Can you connect to internet then?
If so, check the Linksys web site to see if there is a firmware update for your router.
On my (wired) Linksys, after one of the OS updates (I forget which one) I could no longer get to internet until I updated the firmware on the router.
Since there has been an OS security update in the last week, and if you downloaded/installed it, then your problem began, its possible that is the problem.

  • Use PI to connect to ext system using kerberos/spnego

    Hi
Is it possible to configure PI to call external web service using kerberos/spnego? If so, how is it done?
It is said to be supported, but after looking I find no sign of anyone who has implemented this with PI.
    Thank you
    regards Ole

Using PI you can connect to external webservice via SOAP adapter.  Please check with SOAP reciever configuration.  For authentication you will use Kerberos.

    Hi Dqzz,
According to your description, you encounter the "Unable to establish server mode" error. Right?
In Analysis Services, this issue has been reported and it has been fixed in the later services pack. Please see: SSMS
raises "Unable to establish server mode" error if SSAS encounters errors during startup. However, it also can be related to running out of memory issue which will cause this error. Please refer to a blog below:
