Pics on reports..
Hi,
I want to design a report, which will display employees pic with other informative data about each employee. Basically the purpose of this report is to design employee cards. I am using reports 6i and the pics of employees are stored in file system. The pics are named with employee ID, like the ID of the employee is his/her pics name. Now some employees have pics while pics of few employees are not available. I have tried this query but there is a problem, the query is:
SELECT id,name,'C:\MYPIC\'||id||'.BMP' pic
FROM mytable;
This query is working fine if all employees have pics and they are stored in MYPIC folder. If any pic is missing report gives an error.
I want that the query should be modified in such a way that if any pic is not available the report should not show the pic but the other available data of that employee. OR is there any other way to design such a report?

A little clarification please...
As far as I can tell, the latest available Mac version of QuickTime is 7.1.1 (although that shouldn't have anything to do with the problem you've described).
It's a little puzzling that a newly created library would induce the "you have made a change..." dialog. While an existing library might have become modified by applying an inappropriate updater, there is no possible way for iPhoto to generate a new, incompatible library. To where did you try to save this new library? Did you just accept the default location (your Pictures folder) that was offered?
Restart your Mac and then run the Permissions Repair from Disk Utility. Try iPhoto again.
If that doesn't improve things, try creating a new library this way...
• Quit iPhoto if it's running
• Move your iPhoto Library (all of them, if you've rebuilt and kept the original) to the desktop
• Move the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from your Preferences folder to the trash
• Launch iPhoto and dismiss the "Welcome" dialog.
Try importing some pictures (but not from any of your previous iPhoto Library folders)
BTW, it's unlikely that your OS 10.4.7 update had anything to do with what's going on (other than a possible permissions issue) -- I just installed such an update, and iPhoto 2 works fine.

Oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.CreateException: Report definition not found
We're running xml publisher under Oracle AS 10.1.3.4 on RHEL 5 against an Oracle 11.1.0.7 database. The problem we have is that scheduled reports fail intermittently with the following error "oracle.apps.xdo.servlet.CreateException: Report definition not found" even though the report does exist and there are no privilege issues. Oracle support suggested increasing the Java memory parameters in opmn.xml which we did and documnet # 333862.1 on MOS recommended increasing the Apache timeout. This also had no effect.
Does anyone have any ideas what might cause this and how to fix it?

i am having macbook air recently my iphotos did not open and was showing report apple and reopen but i came to know that by pressing alt and iphotos i open an new photo library and stored the pics but now how can i get the pics which i had in the earlier photo please help me to recover my photos
Well I'll guess you're using iPhoto 11:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Based up on the input parameter(lets say Org_id), i want to choose the company logo and print the report.
My intention is that i want to print the same report with different logo and send it to different companies. How is it done in XML Pub report and where do we store the company logos or pictures and how do we refer in XML reports ?

I tried doing this using my gmail email account, but there I get the msg that Firefox crashed. I use SE Aware, Spybot and Malware for securing my pc. After using each of these to do a computer scan my pc still crashes giving me that msg that my Silverlight Plugin has crashed. When I go to Mozilla Firefox to test my Plugins Silver test okay. Tomorrow I'll try another pc and report back the results.

Report - row template or custom? (pics!)
Hi all. I have a report that is using a column report template (CURRENT).
I would like to know what you think is the best way to change the report to look like the FUTURE picture (edited in mspaint). A row template? A custom template? A pl/sql procedure?

How dead will my hard drive be? (pic report)

I have a 2006 Mac Pro. An aftermarket drive I bought has now thrown up a rather serious bad block error message on my SMART utility app.
I have 2 other dives but am a little sad as now I am down on a 2TB drive. (all work safe).
Is there anything I can do to this drive or is it now a paper weight?

Depends on how many spares and how many used. Most people say dont' use it, WD Black 1TB $139 (same as SoftRAID).
I've heard SMART Utility program is one of the better for scanning media. TTPro 6 has gotten better but while it ujse to at least detect media errors it didn't do anything there and then (in old days needed to know and could use the sector ID to manually attempt to read the data, mark as defective and assign one of the spares).
So if you have Windows or you can burn an ISO of lifeguard.

Desktop doesn't retain pic selected in iphoto
Hey all, searched for this but didn't find anything.
When I select a pic in iphoto for my desktop image, it shows up for a second then reverts back to the previous image. Doesn't matter if I select the pic in iphoto or from the preferences pane, it only sticks for a second, then changes back.
iphoto 5.0.4I tried the NVL and MAX ideas, and that did not work for me. I am using a custom business folder that is summing the transaction qty's from MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS and doing a full outer join with WIPFG_MFG_TRANSACTIONS. (I didn't create it) The columns are numeric. I am just using the built in TOTAL function within discoverer desktop. The sort window is showing sorting by the resource code, Inventory item and transaction date. Even when i remove the transaction date and resource code and just sort by inventory item, it still will not total. John, you mentioned Oracle Support having and advantage. Can you elaborate on that? How can i find out if I have Oracle Support for Discoverer?
I just modified the report and only pulled data from the custom business folder and tried totaling. It won't even total when using just that folder. I'm guessing at this point that the problem may be with the sql code for the folder.

my iphone 4s has been reporting invalid sim/sim card failure intermittently for a week. I thought it was a one/two-time thing, so had to manually eject SIM card and put back in. Today, after it happened twice in 12 hours, someone told me to reset - i thought they meant reset all settings, not network settings. while in the middle of resetting, there was an invalid SIM card again. so a few questions - which should i do first? try to manually back up from itunes (not connected to cloud - will be after tonight!), or eject SIM card? don't know if one will jeopardize the other. also, the last time i backed up was 6 days ago - have taken hundreds of pics since then - are those all lost? is there a way to essentially not reset? i thought the reset was okay because it said i'd lose no data or media. Store all values from updateable report on clientside for later use

updateable report have ever 29 rows. as example i make time entrys for an employee. very often the next employee have the same timeentrys. now iam thinking about to make the entrys for the first employee, then click a button to store the values from ALL cells into somting like a javascript cache or jquery.data() . when i pull another employee from lov i have a fresh empty report( with 29 rows) and now i want to call the data back from cache to the cells (with another button). the cache shouldnt be destroyed when refresh the page,cause there is a page refresh when pull another employee from lov.
is it possible to store all cell values(empty or not) from report all in one?
what is the best and simplest way ?
good would be an example for the code or method i should use.
or is somthing inside apex i could use for that. i looked in apex.api but didnt found something.

and in end there are 3 other procedures, all for table MAZEIT, the collection and and the report.
in princip its a good idea,to create another collection, but difficult to bind it to the report TOO,cause my "cell-fill- functionality" is to complicated.
my idea is another: to look with javascript/jquery whatever on clientside the cell-values. and only the editable cells. not the hidden cells.there would be ca. 180 editable cells. i want store the values from this cells all in one in a cache (clientside! ).
then select next employee (collection will be created with view ect.) and give me this 29 rows. in this moment i have cells with ID f02_0001 as example and can use the cache values with that. the ID's ever the same,cause i have ever 29 rows.

To attach a RTF template(Report for printing ) in the master detail form
I have an application in which I have 3 master detail forms of which one of the form is a gate pass form . Now this gate pass form has a report region as the detail.
All that i need help is to print the Gate Pass with few fields as information in the gate pass form , where an image or picture of the visitor is also a filed .
Now I have created an RTF Template which is the Gate pass layout with the pic.
So ultimately I have the application for the gate pass form and the RTF template ready with me .. Fixing this template with the application with a BUTTON called PRINT is the challenge am facing !

I am working with a master detail form where in the form region i have a Radio group . Lets say the Radio group is
o Returnable
o Non Returnable
o Other
so when i select Non returnable I want a particular column called
Line Status to get Disabled .
I have done that by a dynamic action - using jquery statement (.Disable) .
Defining the element attributes as Disable .
Now the problem is that ,, Line status is getting disabled on the selection of Non returnable radio button. but unless and until i dont press the Add row button it does not work ,, else i will have to switch over between the radio buttons to get this action done !!

I was having a hard time making my BG image show up on browser. It was a .png file located in the image folder. My paths were correct, but the image didn't load. In a fit of frustration, I put the image in the same folder as the CSS file and modifie
