hi guyz,
all symbian users do u remember on s60v1 n s60v2 (NOKIA 6600)there use to b picture msg which vr jst text msg n nt mms...bt nw on my s60v3 device if i try to insert picture msg in my text msg it change to MMS,HW cn i send picture msg..i knw there is in built folder in phone memmory in images called picture messages..bt if i pt picture in this folder evn thn it dnt go ast text msg..y?

All of the pictures I have on my phone can be used as a contact picture. so far every picture I use is full screen. Make sure that the photo is saved on your phone and it should show up full screen when someone calls.

That's because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted.
If you still have the older photos on your phone, you can stream them to your PC by adding them to a shared photo stream and inviting yourself as a subscriber (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864). Or, if they are still in your camera roll on your phone you can import them using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
If they aren't on your phone any more but were in the camera roll when it was last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them.

Can't open .msg files more then once, saved or as an attachment to an email

we use :
microsoft xp & office/outlook 2003
can't open .msg files more then once, saved or as an attachment to an email
If we save an email as a outlook.msg file , we can only open it once, close it,
when trying to open it again it gives an error that it is not possible due to a scurity issue or it is already open.
After closing outlook and starting it again, we can open it once again.
Same when clicking an .msg that is attached to an email, but here we can switch to another email, go back to the one and open it again.
We have installed all updates for both xp and office 2003 also internet explorer 8.0 to test if that would work, normally we have ie7.0.

1． What is the detail error information, please try to reproduce the issue and then post the detail error information here.
2． Did you save the msg file locally or on a network drive?
3． Please try to check security on the msg file and also check the drive NTFS permission.
4． Copy over the email messages from the affected user machine to a different machine and check if the issue persist.
5． Test if the issue persist after saving a new email on Mailbox to local drives.
6． Copy over the affected email messages from local drive to a PST file and check if these emails can be opened fine.
1)    Create a new PST file .
2)    Added to user’s Outlook profiles.
3)    Launch Outlook .
4)    Highlight a folder under this PST.
5)    Drag and drop or copy/paste the emails from local drive to Folder highlighted under the PST files.
Besides, please try to remove all the add-ins like Entrust and then test the issue again.
1.     Remove add-ins
1)    Uncheck all Third-Party Add-ins selected in Outlook , found under Tool\Options\Other\Add-ins managers.
2)    Export the registry hive below for backup.
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook \Addins
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook \Addins
3)    Delete the registry entries under the above path for all Third-Party Add-ins.
4)    Close , Open Outlook and attempt to open email message on local drives.
2.     Temporarily stop all third-party application running following the steps
below.
1)    Run MSCONFIG
2)    Go to Services Tab\Select Hide all Microsoft Services check box.
3)    Click Disable All.
4)    Restart the Machine Test if the issue persist.
5)    To revert back the above setting Run MSCONFIG, Go to General Tab , Select Normal
Startup and restarted the machine.

1 Translated from dutch as good as i know :

2 tried both, the network and locally, i have the rights to save it in the map and open it once, so thats not the problem, iseems that outlook locks the file after it is openen once.
3 security and ntfs permissions are ok, see 2
4 tried it from different pc's networks maps etc.
5 done.
6 in a pst file the msg can be openen ore than once, but thats not the problem, tried and this works, but i need to save an email as an .msg file.
7 addins removed and doen all of that part, didn't help.
We also have tried:
-Installing all updates and ie8
-going back to xp sp2 (fresh install of xp)
Only thing that did work was an msg file attached to an email, we couldn't open that more then once,
but after checking "Use exchange modus with cache" at the account properties we could open that more than once.
Now we need to be able to open the email's saved as .msg more then 1 time.

Does the ibackupbot help send and receive picture msg through T-Mobile network?

I got my friend an unlock iphone 4s on a T-mobile. He have data and can send picture msg, BUT cant recieve! How can he fix this? I heard the ibackupbot works, but have anyone tried it and it works???

T-Mobile in the US? I've heard of people getting it to work, but there's very little anyone here can help you with. T-Mobile in the US is not a supported carrier and is not fully compatible with the iPhone.
The like to brag about how many unlocked iPhones are on their network. Perhaps their support people can tell you what you have to do.

Why are emails getting stuck in outbox and picture msgs not sending??

I just traded my iphone 4s and got an iphone5.
I have my work email (exchange) and my gmail account set up on my phone. As soon as I updated to IOS 6, I started to have these problems:
When I send emails out, they get stuck in my outbox.
When sending picture msgs, they just stay in sending status.
A problem with Internet links not opening on safari.
I did everything that you can think of, restarted the phone, reset network settings, restored to factory settings and setup as NEW iphone, checked all email and exchange settings (all are correct) and they way they worked on my 4S, deleted my exchange profile on the work server.
I did all that you can think of and nothing was a permanent fix.
Apple Geniuses, please help us get this resolved. Other co-works are having the same problems.

Are you still using iOS 7.0.3 as stated in your profile? if so, update to 7.1. If already on 7.1:
1. Reset phone (no data loss): Press both the home and power buttons, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
2. Delete and re-enter your iCloud account.

Can send picture msgs but suddenly cant receive them

i have blackberry and can send picture msgs but within past weeks cant receive pict msgs.
spoke w verizon they said check w people sending msg and their resolution. but i have been able to receive pict msgs in the past

I have read your post and understand you are unable to receive picture messages. On your device you will want to power it off and remove the battery. Once the device is powered back on dial *228 and press send. Once provided the options, select option 1 to re-program your device. This should fix the issue of not being able to receive picture messages. You will also want to make sure the picture message does not exceed file size limit. The file size limitation is based on the megapixels of the camera on the device.

I can't send picture msgs!

I think I have a similar problem as some others. I can't send picture msgs through txt. Emails are fine and twitter. when I try to txt, it asks me to automatically resize, so I do. But it still says the message has reached it's size limit. It worked find when I bought the phone, but I updated the OS and now it doesn't work.
also, since I updated the software, I can't download certain emails anymore. I get my schedule sent to me via email. it's in the body of the email, not an attachment. it gets clipped so I can't see my half. On the computer, gmail has it clipped as well, but I can click retrieve message and its fine. before the update, no problems.
compared to many other phones, I think the razr maxx is very sophisticated. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEND PICTURES AND DOWNLOAD EMAILS. I didn't spend all this money to not have that feature.

Manage apps
Select all across the top
Look for text messaging app
Open that app and click clear data and hit ok
Try to send a pic and let me know please

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your wireless service provider to ensure that you are subscribed to a data plan that is adequate to enable the services you desire:

I had the same issue until I updated my apps through iTunes. I had over 100 updates, but none of them showed on my iPod. After they updated everything started syncing like it is supposed. Go to the apps library and check for updates. After everything syncs leave your iPhone/ipod/ipad connected if the spinning arrows at the top is still spinning. It means that things are still being added. If you go to settings > general > about, you will see it loading songs, videos, photos, etc. If you back out of "about" and then go back to it you will see the numbers for each one change.

Firefox will not load pictures, videos or more than one tab at a time. Help!

I have reinstalled Firefox 3.6 a few times, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. When I try and load a site with pictures, videos (such as YouTube, but including a blog post with pictures), or more than one tab at a time, I just get "Untitled" tabs that don't even register the address. This happens especially when clicking to open a link in a new tab from a Google Reader.
At this point too, a lot of pages will not load correctly; even Firefox Help as it turns out!

Int'l Msgs: On MORE plan, but received message advising of charges after landing.

Hi, I'm on the MORE plan which is supposed to include free international messaging. When I landed in Japan and powered up my phone I received the standard activation text that stated what my fees would be to send/receive texts ($.50/$.05). Is that a fluke?

Please help with several issues-Pictures, Videos and More.

I'm on my 3rd iPhone4 in 48 days. A few weeks ago I switched to ATT from Sprint and the EVO because my Company forced me too (they pay for my line). I have a bunch of issues. I won't get into the poor reception and dropped data connection since this is a hardware problem. Ok, when I take pictures and send in an email they don't send straight. Even is I rotate then and save that way when I attach the picture it's not straight. This also happens with video. If I send in a text they are correct. If anyone has tried a Samsung Galaxy S I would like feedback on that too. Probably a long shot in an iPhone forum but I am desperate. I'm not pleased with this phone. I may have to return it.

The ATT rep has visited our work twice. Several us have had issues. He told us we would be able to return our phones even after the 30 days because of all the service tickets open on our phones. If we wanted to move to something else we would just pay the difference. So if I wanted to change to the GalaxyS it wouldn't cost me a thing since it's $199 which I paid for my iPhone. For some reason when I double tap the space bar for a period most of the time it types the letter B. Why is this?

HT1688 why cant i send picture messages any more after upgrading to IOS 6

Yesterday my iphone for some odd reason turned to reovery mode and I was forced to restore&update my iPhone to the iOS 6. Now I can no longer send picture messages. i would like to go back to iOS 5.1 because the 6 is also draining out my battery and also for some reason my phone, again like yesterday, went into Recovery mode! It is really fustrating. I spoke with AT&T and I am still on the unlimited SMS&MMS plan. I dont know what the cause is of all these issues but I hope someone can fix it fat because every restore takes up 3-4 hours

I've never been able to share FaceBook posts nor seen the option using the iOS FaceBook app regardless the FaceBook app and iOS version. I can Like and I can Comment, and if I select a link or video to view under iOS 6, I can use the Share option for the link or video, but not for a post.

OK, I realize I'm probably just a doofus who can't figure this out, but how do you send a text message to more than one person on the iphone? I swear I've looked everywhere. Help, please? Thanks!
