Picture On top of Movie

I'm trying to have picture in top layer of the Movie,
I know they work (dragging them in the movie).
But after doing 2-3 picture picture wont show in the movie part.
This is because my movie is to Dark and I need to put some photo in frames to make it better.
Please let me know what could I do

Working here just fine. Try reinstalling:
Reinstalling Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

1. I tried to drag in thumbnail pictures but can't get the page to move where I want to place the pic
2. Tried to move pictures in movie project, but they are so small on the bottom and seem to come up in threes when I just want to move one picture at a time.

If delivering your content from an LMS, there should be an option to play the content in a separate browser window...without toolbars. This makes it a lot easier to predict what size you need to build your course.
After factoring in all the variables and using trial and error on a number of systems, with and without LMSs, I've found a size of 995x627 to be almost ideal. It's big enough to display most software apps and websites, but small enough to be viewable by users on 1024x768 systems.
You have to remember that if you have a significant number of end-users on 1024x768 and that's the lowest common resolution you need to build for, then you CANNOT make your screen size 1024x768. You have to build smaller to allow for toolbars, browser chrome, etc.
One of the first things any wise elearning developer does when they begin a project, before they start creating content, is to survey their user base and find out what constraints are imposed within which they need to work. Things like monitor resolution, Flash-player version, LMS, bandwidth all play a part in the success or failure of your project. Find out early rather than later.

Try outputting it as a MP4 or M4V
If Final Cut won't output it, Mpegstreamclip will convert it. So will Quicktime if you have the pro version.

How do you add a colored picture on top of a black and white picture with out it turning black and white too?

I am making grad invites and i keep trying to add a colored picture on top of the black and white background picture and it keeps changing the colored one black and white i am using Photoshop CC 2014! any help is greatly appreciated! I cant figure this one out!

What is the file type? Is it a file that supports layers? Is the color photo in its own layer?

I have created a movie of vacation pictures on my windows movie maker (vista op system). When I open the timeline, select audio, and drag a tune from i-tunes, windows movie maker shuts down and no song is transferred. Are these systems incompatible

ITunes Top 10 Movies missing

Here's a strange one. On my main user account, when I go into Front Row, the iTunes Top 10 movies ( under Movies ) and the Top 10 TV Shows ( under TV Shows ) is missing. On my other user accounts it still shows up so it has to be something with the settings in that one user account. I've tried deleting the plist files but that doesn't do the trick. Everything else works OK, and I really don't use those features much but I'm curious as to what I've done to make this disappear. Is there a setting someplace I'm overlooking??

I do have an active internet connection ( otherwise the Movie Trailers Function would not work either ). The result of the terminal command you suggested was

Also, Firewall is enabled but I do have frontrow listed to accept incoming connections ... but I don't think this would be it because I believe the firewall settings are system wide and only one of my user accounts is affected this way. Also, the account in question is a standard user, but it works fine on other standard user accounts on this computer.
And one other piece of info I forgot ... I am runniing 10.5.1. Also, if it helps, when I upgraded to Leopard, I migrated my iTunes by just copying over my old iTunes library from the old system ... could this have something to do with it? BTW thanks for the help.

Yes, I know that, but it was easier to see it on the Iphone self, like the other company phones. The name of the picture taken should be the date when it was taken.

Can this webcam take 'still' pictures to create a movie?

We are interseted in purchasing a video camera for our son to make lego movies. The one used on youtube is a logicam 9000. I read that this is a 'webcam'. Can he take still pictures with this then play them back as a smooth movie? He is also interested in Effects LAb to create graphics. Does any one know anything about the compatability of these two? Ah, you mean a stop motion movie? (take a still picture of the legos, move them slightly, take another still picture.)
The webcam should work, but you may be better off with a good still picture camera (something that can focus up-close). It's going to be all about the software you use to assemble the stills into a video - this is a pretty common task and there's lots of software that will do it, quite a bit of which will be free.

Can't move picture to top of cell

When I insert a picture into a table cell, it is somehow restricted rather than free to be moved within the cell from edge to edge. In the Wrap tab, the two radio buttons for "Object placement" are grayed. If I put a check for "Object causes wrap" it moves the picture down, leaving empty space at the top of the cell. Without "Object wrap", it locks onto the left edge of the cell, still with that "extra padding" (sorry to borrow a Microsoft and HTML table term) at the top of the cell, and stays attached to the left edge. In an older document (only an hour older and created in the same version of Pages), I had used the same picture and went through the same weirdness. In that case, I finally overcame this nastiness but I can't remember how (yes, I know I should have made a note but that is water under the bridge now). I can open both documents to compare the old document with the new one. I find no difference in the two documents' settings in any of the tabs of the Inspector [Inspector is God, Inspector is God, Inspector is God...]. I do notice that there is a tiny + sign at the lower right corner of the picture in the new document and not in the old document. It's nothing to do with "Extra space" or "Alpha" as these are exactly the same for each document's picture. If I copy the picture by selecting it in the old document (where the picture behaves politely and has no +) and paste it into the new document cell, the picture acquires that goofy + sign and refuses to allow positioning at the top of the cell.
In Pages Help, if I type "+" and search, nothing is found (my usual result with Pages Help-- one must already know what the + means or one can't search for it).
About this I have two questions:
1) How can I apply qualities to a picture to allow me to position it anywhere I want in a cell, the way I can easily do in my old document?
2) How can I make this the default behavior? In other words, I want to work faster and not have to make individual settings for each and every picture I insert. Obviously, our work process should never have a "leash" unless we decide to apply a leash. That last statement is from the "Let Me Decide" committee.

A symbol like the + one is not indexed in the Help so it's normal that you can't find it.
The only way to search for such an object in the delivered resources is to search in the PDF User Guide delivered with every legal copy of iWork.
The behavior of pictures inserted in a cell is perfectly defined in the Help and in the PDF User Guide.
In the English version of the PDF it's page 148…149.
In the Help, search for the clumsy keyword "Image"

If the program doesn't behave as you want, you are perfectly free to apply the committee statement and decide to drop it

PS If you drag & drop a picture directly in a cell, it will not behave as a cell's background but as an inline object in the cell's contents.
You may reduce its size but you can't enlarge it more than the cell's size.
From the Text Inspector, you may set the 'Inset Margin' to fit your needs.

Safari: picture issues(pixelated)/ Flash movies Flickers

In Safari and sometimes in iTunes(rarely) pictures are presented/ rendered in low quality. You easily see grainy/ pixel noise following lines in the picture. It is not a problem in iPhoto were pictures are in excellent condition.
Also when watching flash based movies, there is flickering constantly when there is much movement in the playing movie. This happens in Youtube or any other flash based media.
Has anyone experienced this problem and what can I do to fix this?

From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Could be a 3rd party plugins causing the problem. Go to ~/Library/Internet Plugins. Move any 3rd party plugins to the Trash and restart your Mac.
And make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.

Placing a picture on top of a flash snippet

The site I am dealing with has a simple flash picture movie (picts slowing rotating in a slideshow). I have tried to create a rounded bottom to it by placing a transparent png on top of the flash object. This works great on my Mac pro but has issues on other browsers (particularly IE...I know I know lol) as the Flash (in the snippet) just always wants to be on top, not matter what. Can anyone tell me if this is possible to get it to render correctly in IE and other browsers?
I have worked around it by adding the png to the flash movie. It works but is not near as pretty or functional.

Should also mention that I *can* get a table on top of the
image if I set the image as the background of a single cell table
but when I do this and try to next another table on top of it, I am
unable to move the new table down, only to size it down. So a way
to do either move the table down or put a table on top of an image
would either one solve my problem.

I lost a folder, with all the pictures, while trying to move some photos to a diferent folder (both folders disappeared)

I was trying to move some pictures from a folder to another, but all the pictures disappeared! Even the folder that the pictures were! I searched all my computer but I can't find them! Does anyone know what can I do??
Before I lost all pictures a message appeared asking if I wanted to replace the photos that have the same name, and I said "yes" and "do this to all"; after that a message appeared saying that there was an error and the pictures were note moved, but all my files disapeared!!
I search even the trash (it is empty) and don't know whatelse to do!
I would appreciate any help.

First of all, we'd need to know what version of Bridge, Photoshop and the OS you are using.
One of the earliest versions of Bridge was indeed known occasionally to disappear files and/or folders, but that was a long time ago, in CS2 I believe. Later versions do not do that.
Do a search for the names of the files and or folder(s), not with the pretty useless Spotlight or the Finder Search (which uses the same, limited Spotlight search engine). Instead, try the free EasyFind. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/8707
Second, I'll assume you mean folder when you type "a file with all my photos in it". Unless you put the folder in the trash and then deliberately emptied the trash, it's more likely you just accidentally stuck the folder inside another one, or accidentally renamed it. EasyFind will find it or its contents.
If EasyFind fails to find a trace of any of the files or of the folder, then the files are indeed gone. but that 's highly unlikely unless you deliberately empied the trash.

When I put pictures in Finder from iPhoto, it keeps putting pictures on top of one an other making the bottom ones hard to get to. How can I get it to stop?

I need that to stop so I can work with the pictures.

If it's on your Desktop, click on the desktop, go to the View menu, Sort By - Name (or whatever you'd prefer). Same thing if it's in a different folder - just click in the folder first, then use the View menu to organize it.
You can also change your view (anywhere EXCEPT the desktop) between thumbnail and list, or Cover Flow, using one of the four view options at the top of the Finder window (to the right of the two arrow icons).

Quality of pictures added to a Movie

Hi,
I am trying to add pictures to a movie but it seems like iMovie HD changes the aspect ratio and resolution of the picture, which results in poor quality of the image.
Any suggestions on how to change that or get around it?

What size are Your pictures ? more than 720 x 564 (or what's OK for NTSC)?
What kind of filetype ? I use .jpg (set to high quality in eg. PhotoShop)
I don't use "Ken Burns effect" at all.
I don't use "Share/Export to iDVD" by two reasons:
• BAD Result
• Harmed iMovie project by iMovie Rendering process
I would:
• Re-import the photos (nessecary if used Share to iDVD) and edit again.
(eventually cheque them in a photo program as PhotoShop or Elements so that it's not the
thumb-nails that You are using - but full quality)
• Then Close iMovie and locate the movie project (icon with a Star on it)
• Open iDVD and import the movie project (icon with a Star on it)
Now it should be better especially when viewed on TV.
