Picture template

I'm working on a new website, but I'm having problems getting what I want. I am using CMS and in that system I want a "default background template" to show up everytime I upload a photo to my blog.
The information is dragged from the server through a recordset, the recordset where the picture is going to be shown is in a table.
The default picture template is a polaroid photo that is going to be around the picture that is going to be uploaded everytime.
I've tried a few things, but nothing worked.
Does someone know how to do this?
Much apreciated, thanks!

CSS:
#MyPicture  img {
background: url (my-polaroid.jpg) no-repeat;
HTML:
<div id="MyPicture"
<img src="path/image.jpg">
</div>

  • 9 Picture Template in LR 5.7 Books

Hi, I'm making a travel book (Standard Landscape) in LR 5.7 (Mac OS 10.10.1) for Blurb and I'd like a page layout with 9 pictures but in Add Page/Multiple Photos there are only templates for 6, 12, 16, 30 and more pictures.  Is it possible to have a page layout with 9 pictures?  Thanks, Doug

First, Design your page in the Print module, then 'Print' to a JPG. Use this new jpg composite image on the Blurb book page.

  • How to create several fast loading big albums in iWeb using your own templates

hi guys - here comes one for the real cracks.
i am trying to create a nice PICTURES page containing about 100 albums with each of it containing up to 100 individual pictures on my website, where i also have several videos online and (soon) audio files - everything available for download.
my problem is that the main "My album" page in iWeb will always ALL sub albums on just one page, which would in my case lead to endless loading time - i have now 30 albums online and it already takes ages to display all of them.
so i want to create several album pages, each of them displaying only 6 individual sub albums and this way allow a decent page loading time. this is usually done by just adding a new "my album" page using one of apple's templates. and here is my problem: my web site design is made from scratch and is not similar to any of apple's templates. since iWeb does not allow you to save your individual pages as "templates" i had to go a long way around, using iWebsites and merge a newly created picture template page (containing my own duplicated "my album") with ma main site. for some reason this did almost work out but in the end not really - if you are interested have a look at the separate discussion in this forum
https://discussions.apple.com/message/15532580#15532580  (how to save any iWeb page as a template)
so my question here is if any of you know of any other way to achieve my goal of getting several individual main albums containing 6 subalbums (this way it fits on one page and allow NOT having to scroll down at all) and this in a way which will fit the design of my web page. have a look at the now existing pictures page and imagine that i want more or less the same but divided in individual pages containing only 6 albums per page:
    http://www.giorgiodellapietra.com/giorgiodellapietra.com/PICTURES/PICTURES.html
here an example of how it should look like in the end:

thank you very much for your impact.

    hi folks
don't worry, i have given up as it really seems iWeb can not do this.
however, i have identified 2 possible solutions. the one i have chosen is to simply add new albums by choosing one of apple's templates and then modify it until it fits my design. i have created 15 additional main albums this way and it took me (because of the "mass production") only 15 minutes per album to get it done. now i have enough empty albums spare for the next few years...
the other way to accomplish what i wanted would have been to make the main "my album" page invisible for visitors and use it only for administration (so it can contain 100 albums but nobody would ever have to wait until they load). then create a new page which i call picture (copy any of my other pages and modify it) on which i will post some "virtual albums", which means use any picture out of an album and create a direct link to the album. i could use a vary low resolution version of the main pic and this way i would have a "picture" page which loads extremely fast but is actually nothing else than a link to the real album. then just copy this page as many times as i need albums and change the pictures and the links in it. the advantage is that it loads very fast, the disadvantage that i loose the ability to scroll through albums by moving the mouse over it, as what you see is of course only a picture and not the album.
i have chosen the first version because it has the advantage to be able to move albums as one pleases. however, both versions would be fine.
    it's already done and eaten.
thanks anyway for reading yourself through this...
    cheers

  • TS5426 Logic Pro X templates missing

I've installed additional orchestral content and the Orchestral and Music for Picture templates are still unavailable. Am I missing something?
Custom templates also do not appear when I save them.
    Logic Pro X 10.0.7
    Mac OS X 10.9.4
    Macbook Pro Late 2011

Is it supposed to be for 7 string guitar? You'll have to read this:
    http://help.apple.com/logicpro/mac/10/#lgcp204e230e
and especially the chapter Determine the string assignment. It sometimes does react strangely (like not showing E6) I must admit. Start a new project in score mode and try to enter a scale from the lowest string up to the highest string. Now change midi channels, in the event editor, observing how this provokes different possibilities of identical notes on the fretboard.
    Have a nice day!

  • Link to file

    Hello All,
Just got iWeb and think it's the most fantastic thing ever, but am having the weensiest bit of trouble linking to a file. I scanned the boards and didn't find an answer, so here goes...
I'm using a 3 picture template on a page for a photo gallery, and am wanting to enable some of those as thumbnails to link to a file. I can't enable the photo, so I'm insering a text box caption underneath as the link to a larger version of the photo. So, I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that that works as a pop-up? A new window opens.
But, when i try to enable the link to the file, it asks me to choose the file, which i do, it then asks "open?" which i click, and it looks as if the path is correct, but no pop-up pops up. All my other links behave as links, and the disable all links button is not checked.
So, once i publish the site, will this work? I just don't want to spend hours doing more then have to go back to correct a few mistakes.
    Thanks!

    Yes,
I will be publishing to .Mac, but need to add some info to the larger photos...copyright, contact, borders, etc.etc..
So, doing that in photoshop, and resizing the photoshop page to be the proper size for a browser, then saving those jpeg files to a folder on my desktop and routing the path there.
I guess i don't want every photo to be a thumbnail, because i don't want people pulling it off the web, just select images. (By the way, I'm a semi-professional photog., hence my concern.)
    Thanks for your input!

  • How to use the scene deconstruction option for Avatar

I am able to access all the iTunes extras feature for Avatar except the Scene Deconstruction feature. Whenever I use any of the 3 options available in scene deconstruction it just opens up a blank grey screen with Final, picture in picture, template and capture text and the pause sign. Nothing shows or plays I have been at it for over 2 days now. Will someone help me or guide me to a video where I can learn how to use this feature?

  • Default display for iweb photo albums page

I am trying to make a web site using i web with several different photopages. I am using an albums page but the default display for the album covers is landscape. Can anyone tell me how to make them portrait so my pictures on the album cover are not cropped?

    Hi,
this sounds to me ridiculous. This has to be considered as bug, not limitation as I am allowed to put pictures in portrait to my "Pictures"-template site. How can I contact Apple regarding this issue as on their support page they seem to hide the way to contact them in case of troubles... Bad customer care Apple...

  • Using iPhoto, Aperture 3 and Photoshop Elements 9 together...

    Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded from iPhoto to Aperture. It does almost everything I need but there are some much more advanced editing tools in Photoshop Elements that I need occasionally and also I like to be able to quickly create attractive template based e-mails using iPhoto, so I need all three apps.
Currently I have my photo library in Aperture 3 but it's really clunky to create attractive photo emails using iPhoto because I have to click 'Show Aperture Library', which is very difficult to navigate and is pretty much unusable. My next attempt is going to be to see whether I keep all my pictures in an iPhoto library and then browse and edit them in Aperture and Photoshop Elements.
Has anyone got any tips on this topic?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Ernie,
Thanks for your post. I will try to explain in a little more detail what the problem I'm having is. If I want to create an iPhoto picture template e-mail, say a postcard, then I select File/Show Aperture Library. A browser window pops up. If I browse to 'Projects' then the previews of each project are huge - about 6 fit on a screen with the window maximised. I can't find a way of zooming out in order that I can browse the hundreds of projects in my Aperture library. Is there a way of doing this? Also, I can't seem to control the sort order. The options in View/Sort Order seem to sort the iPhoto album, not the Aperture library browser.
If I select Photos from the navigation tree then I get previews of all my 13'000 pictures and about 100 fit on the screen. Again, I don't seem to be able to zoom in/out nor control the sort order.
What surprised me this morning is that I finally deleted my old iPhoto library and then opened iPhoto to see how it would react. I selected whatever the default was (forgot already!) and now I see my iPhoto library as it was before I deleted it. However, I can't find the library in my Pictures folder. Could it be that iPhoto is reading it from the trash can??
Finally - is there a way of adding pictures to my posts in this forum? Perhaps I could illustrate the views i'm getting in iPhoto's Aperture library browser.
    Yours,
    Jim

  • Problem Open links to fileshare when browse to SharePoint in chrome and firefox

We have a search center site and results come from file share.
It seems that when user use Chrome and firefox - there is a problem to open a link to the file. In addition in case the file is an image - the preview image is seen only in IE
    keren tsur

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you couldn’t see the image preview in search results.
First, you should know that the search center can crawl image files, however, the results only return these image files as list items and no image preview will appear whichever browses you use.
The cause of this issue is that the image result type uses the Default Item template and not the Picture template.
I recommend that you can use the SharePoint Designer 2013 to modify the hover display template that is being used for default items.
For more information, you can refer to:

  • Unable to Access LVM2/Fedora Media

I've been having a lot more problems with this than what I anticipated. First off it took me quite a bit of time just to figure out how to mount the lvm2 volume (my Fedora /home) and now I'm unable to properly read/write to it.
    [chance@Kawaii ~]$ ls /media/Fedora
    chance lost+found
    [chance@Kawaii ~]$ ls /media/Fedora/chance
ls: cannot open directory /media/Fedora/chance: Permission denied
    [chance@Kawaii ~]$ sudo ls /media/Fedora/chance
    Desktop Downloads Junk Pictures Templates
    Documents IMG_0354.JPG Music Public Videos
As you can see to view/open anything that's hosted on the Fedora partition I have to prefix it with sudo. I'm assuming this might becaused because Fedora is password protected?
As always, any help is appreciated. I'm sorry for asking what may end up being an obvious question, but I can't find anything that works.

Your Fedora user is not the same as your Arch user - and I mean UID and GID, not just user and group names.
sudo works because it gives your Arch user root privileges.

  • New Illustrator user help.

So I am trying to design a jersey and it has to be done on illustrator. The company has given me a downloadable template to use but after I opened the file in illustrator, I was not able to select the individual pieces of the jersey that I wanted to edit. Instead, I was only able to select the picture as a whole. Can anyone help me with this? I am completely new to illustrator.

I think the company wants you to trace this template. You'll have to lock the picture/template, (cmd+2 on mac or ctrl+2 on windows) then you'll have to trace manually the jersey using the pen tool with the other anchor points tool, or using all the shapes tool (rectangle, ellipse. polygon, etc) with pathfinder (window>pathfinder). You can learn how to use the pen tool, looking at the the illustrator help (f1). After closing the shapes of your illustration you'll have to colorize them using the color and the swatches panel (Window>color and Window>swatches. Keep training!

  • Creating educational animated videos

    Hi,
I am new to Flash. I want to know how can I create educational animated video tutorials using flash.
Is there is any specific component in flash which can help me with the pictures, templates to create such videos?
I would appreciate if someone could point to resources/tutorials for creating educational animated videos.
    Thanks,
    Rajan

What elements do you wish to have in your videos? Since you mention it will be a video I assume you know that means there can be no interactivity with the video, it will just play. Typically people use Flash a great deal for e-learning because it's interactive.
You might be barking up the wrong tree entirely however. If you really wish to composite a video then a video editing application might be more suitable like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, or if screen capturing is needed (often for this) then Adobe Captivate has a whole bunch of interactive and non-interactive ways of putting together this kind of content, with templates and lots of freebies.

  • I am having issues placing digital pictures in master templates in FCP 6

Hello everyone, this is my first post but I have been using Mac's for some time now with basically no issues.
    I have two major issues:
First off, I am trying to place digital pictures which are enormous in the master template drop boxes, when I do this it cuts off the top and bottom of the image but the image still looks clear. The pictures I am importing are 1200 x 1800 jpg files, and were shot with a Canon EOS 30D. What I did was take all the images I needed and used Motion Pictures from Toast Titanium 8 and made a slideshow which I then exported as a QuickTime movie. I didn't know how to encode it so I used the DV/DVCPRO - NTSC codec and the dimensions were set to 3240 x 2430 since I thought that should give me the best quality image right?
Anyway, after doing this I have imported this QuickTime movie into Final Cut Pro and then I cut it up and placed little clips into each drop box. This makes it so I can see the whole picture now, but it still is not as high quality as the original pictures.
So, I have tried many times to export this master template with the pictures in the drop boxes and the finished QuickTime file looks terrible. I have not changed anything in the settings and when I export the quicktime movie I keep all the settings the same.
What do I need to do to get this to look better? Any ideas?
The other thing is that I have noticed a big reduction in quality from when I have the unrendered master template with the digital images in the drop boxes to when it autorenders after I have been away from the computer since I am stressing from this.
I am trying to take these pictures of high school basketball players and use the master template to have all the players pics and names come flying on the screen before the game comes on.
Any ideas? Why is the quality so bad? Am I doing something wrong? I have searched throughout the forums and found little information for digital images being imported into master templates, and I do not know if I am using a lossy format or something?
    Any help is extremely appreciated!

Digital pictures are no different than any other still images, or movies, for that matter, as fas as Motion or FCP are concerned, they're just pixels.
Your image are way too big for video. Even if you're doing high def, you're scaling them down to fit many on the screen. Thye don't need to be an larger than, say, 1k on the long side.
You blew them up by a factor of 300% to get them out at 3240 x 2430 so now you've made all the pixels bigger than they used to be, you haven't added any pixels. Now you're biring that huge movie into FCVP and scaling it down by a factor of about 90%, wasting huge processing time and muscle and tons of disk space, totally wasted, and every scaling operation has introduced tons of artifacts.
Throw it all ways. Batch your photos through Photoshop to change them all into 1k jpegs and start over.
The templates are fun places to start but the mattes are (mostly) designed to crop and scale. so if you have images that are huge, they just get scaled to fit. You want to start with an image that requires the least amount of scaling.
Welcome to the family. Video is hard.

If you have Pages you can create customs pages for your book as TD suggested. If you have Pages from iWork 09 or 11 this app will add 80 or so additional frames to those offered:  Frames and Strokes Installer. Don't use it on the latest Pages version, however.
This tutorial shows how to create a custom page with the theme's background: iP11 - Creating a Custom Page, with the Theme's Background for an iPhoto Book.  Once the page is complete to get it into iPhoto as a jpeg file follow these steps:
Here's how to get any file into iPhoto as a jpeg file:
1 - open the file in any application that will open it.
2 - type Command+P to start the print process.
3  - click on the PDF button and select "Save PDF to iPhoto".
NOTE:  If you don't have any of those options go to Toad's Cellar and download these two files:
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Save PDF to iPhoto 300 DPI.workflow.zip
Unzip the files and place in the HD/Library/PDF Services folder and reboot.
4 - select either of the files above (300 dip is used for photos to be included in a book that will be ordered).
5 - in the window that comes up enter an album name or select an existing album and hit the Continue button.
That will create a 200 or 300 dpi jpeg file of the item being printed and import it into iPhoto. For books to be printed choose 300 dpi.
