Pictures not viewable on Facebook, thumbnails or otherwise. Any thoughts?

Installed SP2 then removed it, now I can't view images on FB with Firefox. Might be other sights too but I don't have the problem with Internet Explorer so it must be Firefox.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right-click context menu while saving an image.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:

* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

What is your GarageBand version? Are you using the most recent GarageBand 10.0.x or an earlier version?

The rhythmic notation in GarageBand is the best estimate, based on the length of the notes you played and the "quantize" settings. You can correct the score somewhat by adjusting the note values in the Piano Roll view and by selecting notes and picking a suitable time quantize setting in the track editor, e.g., if you wanted to play triplets, set the quantize value correspondingly:
But I never could get GarageBand to show the dotted notes and rests correctly.
If your main goal is to create a musical score and not to mix music, better use notation software instead of GarageBand.

Pictures not viewable in Firefox

Added another page to my website last night, when I came to work this morning to check out the pictures, I realized that they are not viewable using my firefox browser, safari and IE work fine, any ideas? I had a similar problem when the .me changeover first happened, but all has been well for the past month or so. Here is the page:

Try this first:
Check that you have the latest version of iWeb (2.0.4) and also download the latest Software Update for you Mac OSX through Apple menu / Software Update. Then open iWeb and make a minor change to all the pages, like moving an item one pixel and then do a Publish All to MobileMe. You can also delete your entire site from MobileMe through iDisk first before doing the Publish All in iWeb. That should jump start the photos.
Make sure you backup your iWeb file first before doing anything! Having a backup of your site is always good.
It the above doesn't help you see below.

Are you signed into iTunes on the computer with the same Apple ID the apps in question were "purchased" with? Is the computer authorized for that account?

Pictures not displaying in non-thumbnail sizes

One of my clients has an iMac G5 running 10.4.11 and iPhoto 5.0.4. He's got about 3200 pictures in his iPhoto library which is about 12GB in size (they are all very large pictures). He's been using iPhoto without problem for years then suddenly he noticed that some pictures do not display in a slideshow. Out of the 3200 pictures he's narrowed it down so far to a few dozen pictures throughout his library. When we view the roll or the album with the pictures listed as thumbnails, we can see the picture just fine, but when we do anything that involves viewing at non-thumbnail size, such as double clicking on it or viewing in a slideshow it displays nothing. Slideshow just shows all black and double clicking on the thumb shows white with a spinning gear that never stops spinning. I rebuilt his library and that did not fix it. I repaired permissions, trashed iPhoto preferences, deleted tmp & cache files from his computer, I even zapped the PRAM out of desperation and nothing made any difference at all. One weird thing is that when it is siting at the white screen with spinning gear, if we resize the window smaller then resize it bigger, the picture will display properly but only for that time. It still will not display in slideshows.
I tried exporting one of the troublesome pictures out of iPhoto to his desktop, delete the pic from iPhoto, then try re-importing it again. This time when we try to import it, iPhoto gives an error that the file couldn't be imported because it may be an unrecognized file type or may not contain valid data. I can open the pic on his desktop using Preview and Photoshop with no problems at all.
Why am I posting this in the iPhoto '08 forum? well I copied the file to my MacBook Pro running 10.5.6 and iPhoto '08 and it almost does the same thing. I am able to import the file into iPhoto '08 and I can see the thumbnail but when I double click it, instead of a white screen with the spinning gear, i get a black screen and nothing else. I tried the trick of resizing the window and as I'm resizing, I do see a blocky image but as soon as I stop resizing the image goes black.
I can open the file in any program on multiple computers: Photoshop, Preview, GraphicConverter, ColorSync Util, Safari, Firefox, etc. iPhoto version 5 and '08 (the only versions I have handy) refuse to work with the file. I've even edited the picture in photoshop by changing the resolution by just a few pixels and slightly tighter jpg compression but iPhoto still refuses to play nice with it.
I have exhausted all options other than reinstalling the OS, but other posts I've read similar to this say that never fixes it. I am at a loss. What is wrong with iPhoto that it refuses to play nicely with pictures that work everywhere else in the world?
I forgot to add that in Console there are several instances of iPhoto errors:
"have info and image but no ciimage" and “have info and image but no ref”

Try opening the file in one of the other applications that can use it and save as a new file and see if that new file is compatible with iPhoto. Or you might try this Automator workflow, Convert to JPG and Embed sRGB profile, on one and see if the resulting file will work. If so you can batch change all of them. It replaces the file you run it on so be sure to run it on a copy just to be safe. You can download it from Toad's Cellar or download it immediately with this link: Convert to JPG and Embed sRGB profile.zip.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: iPhoto 8's new option in it's rebuild library window, "Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" may make this tip obsolete. We'll know when users have occasion to use it and see if that's the case.

Pictures Not Viewable When I FORWARD E-Mails

Something weird happening when I try to forward emails with photos. They don't show up on the recipient side. This is annoying when you are trying to send family photos around the family that come to you!

Sorry I cannot help because I was about to post a call for help as I have a similar problem. When I try to forward an email with images of any sort the forwarding email panel contains only Lego bricks decorated with question marks in place of the images. This has only just stated and coincides with installing iLife 08 but as that has no Mail program I assume that it is a coincidence. Just to add insult to injury, the sound effect warning of incoming mail no longer operates. Anyone out there who can help please?

Saved pictures not viewable

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. I am editing photos, saving them as a JPEG file, and when I return to the organizer, the photo comes up as if it's a corrupted file (looks like a torn piece of paper). I am then unable to view, print or edit. Is it a problem with my save procedure or Elements? I have saved the photos this way thousands of times, and have the same settings, as far as I can tell.
Any suggestions?

Help, iphoto 6.01 upgrade just eliminated all my thumbnails...any thoughts?

I just installed iPhoto 6.01. I had iPhoto 6 installed and all was well. Upon upgrading, my ENTIRE library shows no thumbnails, only dashed boxes and the titles of the images. When I go into edit mode, blank. Can't import. Seems like iPhoto no longer knows where the photos are located. I have many many smart albums created based on comments, don't want to lose these! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have tried reinstalling iPhoto 6.01 as well as rebuilding caches, database, etc...stumped.

EOS 1100D Not turning on what so ever. Any Thoughts?

My camera is no longer turning on. I have tried switching between two fully charged batteries and nothing. I have also tried plugin it into the laptop and its not registering any device, or even the fact that there is a SD card. I have also re-installed the set up disk that came in the box, allong with running the trouble shooting cd that was in there, which just uninstalled everything that had just been installed on there. Any ideas?

There are two micro switches which can prevent the camera from powering up if they are not engaged.
One is on the memory card door. The other is on the battery door.
Inspect both... there's a tiny tab on each of these doors that presses the switch when the door is closed. Make sure neither the tab nor switch are damaged.
There are other micro-switches on the camera but these are the only two that will preven the camera from powering up.
If both of those are fine then you'll need to contact Canon.

3d Text not changing colour in Photoshop CS6 Extended-Any Thoughts?

Hi,
I'm trying 3d text for the 1st time in Photoshop Cs6 Extended and thought I'd post my query on here as I've always found people to be really friendly and helpful.
The problem is every time I create new text and and change the colour it's always showing up as black. Nothing I do seems to alter this. Someone suggested a memory problem but I really don't know
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated

Did a complete reinstall and that seemed to allow me to change colours.Interestingly when I did the offered upgrade it reverted back to the way it was.Although I can't seem to see the widget(with grid) that allows me to easily move the text around.Is that in CS6? My Yahoo email is no longer downloading to my iPhone. I can send email out from the account, but new emails to the account don't show up on my phone, although I am receiving them.
I have already tried:
- Turning my phone off
- re-entering my password
- deleting the account and re-opening it

this is a known issue with Yahoo, as your thread is the 5th I've seen already about Yahoo email.
Contact yahoo and see what the problem is.
