Placeholder fetching multiple records

Hi,
From the below piece of code in placeholder i am fetching multiple records.
How can i show those multiple records to the user?
<cq:contentQuery logic="and">
<cq:contentPropertyComparison logic="and" propertySet="UCMRepository/IDC:Folder" name="dDocAuthor" type="string">
<cq:equals>
<cq:literal>weblogic</cq:literal>
</cq:equals>
</cq:contentPropertyComparison>
</cq:contentQuery>
Thanks in Advance,
Venu--

Placeholders will, by design, select and display a single returned content item. If you would like to render more items, look to the Content Selector technology rather than Placeholder.

  • Regarding fetching multiple records in a BDC call transaction mode

    hi experts,
    well the scenario is that i hv made a bdc report in which the values concerning purchase orders are stored in a text file in the form of records.(rows) and i want to upload these values into the transaction me21n.
    i hv been able to do that by marking a recording nd then using GUI UPLOAD fm and then fetching the values from an internal table,(which had all the row values)
    but now the problem is that i want to fetch multiple rowws at one go.
    as in different purcahse quantity , net price etc under teh same purchase order.
    that is i want to upload various rows for the same purchase order.
    could u guys plz help me with this.
    points will be rewarded generously.
    take care all.

    Hi,
    First you sort the internal table by PO number before sending to BDC. Then loop at this internal table. For each new PO number build BDC tables.
    I am giving pseudo code below.
    Loop at potable.
    at new potable-ponumber.
      bdctable-ponumber = potable-ponumber.
    endat.
    fill item data like matnr,quantity....
    at end of potable-ponumber.
      call transaction.
    endat.
    endloop.
    Hope this helps.
    Ramesh.

  • Logic to fetch multiple records from BKPF, SRGBTBREL and SOOD

    Hi All
    Need help in developing a login for a report.
    We are trying to display records of a/c documents which have an associated note with them. This involves 4 categories.
    1)     My Document, I attached the note.
    2)     My Document, someone else attached the note.
    3)     No note attached.
    4)     All.
    The logic desired is as below:
    1)     BKPF-BUKRS + BKPF-BELNR + BKPF-GJAHR = SRGBTBREL-INSTID_A. (SRGBTBREL can have multiple records for this combination if multiple notes attached)
    2)     a) SOOD-OBJTY = SRGBTBREL-INSTID_B+17(3).
    b) SOOD-OBJYR = SRGBTBREL-INSTID_B+20(2).
    c) SOOD-OBJNO = SRGBTBREL-INSTID_B+22(12).
    Unique combination.
    I have fetched the details from the three database tables but finding it challenging to put it across in one output internal table. It doesnu2019t cover the scenario where multiple notes are attached to the document (One can be from the same person who created the document and another ones can be from different person or both from the different people).
    Thanks in advance,
    Harsh

  • Fetch multiple records using Native SQL

    Hello All,
    I am trying to fetch data from an external database which is an oracle sysrtem.
    I am currenty using cursor method to fetch the data.
    The "fetch next cursor1" only bring 1 record at a time. And it is taking more than 20 mins to bring 1 record, it seems the table i am fetching has more than 12 million records.
    Can someone please answer these 2 questions:
    1) If is have oracle commands to query their tables, can i use them directly between the EXEC SQL   and  ENDEXEC.
       When i put a semicolon its giving error. Oracle statements end with semicolon.
    2) There must be a way of fetching a set of records at one go from external system. Does anyone know the technique.
    I appreciate your help.

    Hi,
    Check if this is useful in your case.
    See here SDB_ADBC - the program
    I am using there:
    cl_sql_connection
    cl_sql_statement
    cl_sql_result_set

  • Fetching multiple records from a cursor

    Hi all!
    I am kind of stuck and am not able to understand how to get out of this. please help me. here is what I have to do.
    I have a change log which has a record for each attribut changing in a table. Of all the changes, we are interested in a few,say 4 out of 5. All these records have same change group id.
    Now I have a cursor declared which will pick up the 4 rows,I am interested in and group them by change group id.
    What I want to do now is to loop through all these 4 records to check if one of them is for an attribute"process code". If it is then I do a delink and link call with the old and new value respectively.If not, I send a normal update call querying the database tables.
    Now my question is how do I get all 4 records and process them all at same time. I need to use some if conditions on these records too.

    Hi
    I think u can try PL/SQl collection
    declare
    TYPE tab_typ IS TABLE OF table%ROWTYPE;
    l_tab_typ tab_typ;
    begin
    l_str :='select ...from table group by.....;
    l_str BULK COLLECT INTO l_tab_typ;
    FOR i in 1..l_tab_typ.count
    loop
    if (.....) then
    end if;
    update table .....;
    end loop;

    Hi Ranjith
    You can use

  • Multiple record and fetch with 5112

    Hallo,
    I want to configure a PXI5112 for multiple record aquisition. I want to poll the card with the RecordsDone property. This information I want to use as a ForLoop counter to fetch all records one by one.
    1) Is this a good and possible way?
    2) What happens with a record when it is fetched from the 5112. Let's say I have three records A, B and C. My first fetch instruction with FetchRecordNumber=0 and FetchNumberOfRecords=1 should retrieve A. If I fetch once again with those parameters, do I get B cause A has been fetched and deleted and all subsequent records have been shifted? Is that true?
    Thank you
    Oliver Friedrich

    Hallo Oliver
    the pxi 5112 is a high speed 100MHz, 100MS/s, 14-Bit Digitizer board with two input channels. Each of the two analog input channels has its own 100MS/s, 8-bit analog-digital converter, so you can simultaneously acquire data on each channel sampled at rates from 100MS/s to 1S/s.
    What sample rate would you have? What do you mean by a ForLoop counter with three values?

  • How to concatenate multiple records into one

    Hi everybody:
    I want to know if exist some way to concat multiple records into one without using cursors. For example, I have a table named "Authors" like this:
    Lan|Author
    English|Ernest Hemingway
    Spanish|Octavio Paz
    Spanish|Mario Vargas Llosa
    English|Sinclair Lewis
    Spanish|Gabriel García Márquez
    And I want to get this:
    Author
    Octavio Paz, Mario Vargas Llosa, Gabriel García Márquez
    I have worked with SQL Server and I can do something like this:
    CREATE FUNCTION dbo.MyConcat (@lan varchar(10))
    RETURNS varchar(5000) AS
    BEGIN
    declare @retvalue varchar(5000)
    set @retvalue=''
    select @retvalue = @retvalue + Author +',' from Authors where lan = @lan
    return substring(@retvalue,1,len(@retvalue)-1)
    END
    ie, do not use cursors to concatenate records. However, with ORACLE, I have to do someting like this.
    FUNCTION MyConcat(P_Lan IN VARCHAR2) RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    v_ret VARCHAR2(4000);
    v_element VARCHAR2(4000);
    v_cursor sys_refcursor;
    BEGIN
    OPEN v_cursor FOR SELECT Author FROM Authors where Lan = P_Lan
    LOOP
    FETCH v_cursor INTO v_elemento;
    EXIT WHEN v_cursor%NOTFOUND;
    IF v_ret IS NULL THEN
    v_ret := v_element;
    ELSE
    v_ret := v_ret || ', ' || v_element;
    END IF;
    END LOOP;
    RETURN v_ret;
    END;
    Exist some other way to do this?
    Best Regards
    Jack

    Tks both for answer... I forgot to mention that I am using Oracle 10g. I read about LISTAGG() but this function is available for Oracle 11g release 2.
    I wil read about the other techniques than Hoek mention

    Hi,
    I created Proxy service(ALSB3.0) to get records from DB table. I have used Xquery function(fn-bea:execute-sql()). Using simple SQL query I got single record, but my table having multiple records. Please suggest how to get multiple records using fn-bea:execute-sql() and how to assign them in ALSB variable.

    Hi,
    Am facing the same issue stated above that I couldnt get all the records in the table that am querying in the Proxyservice.
    For example:
    fn-bea:execute-sql('EsbDataSource', 'student', 'select Name from StudentList' ) is the query that am using to fetch the records from the table called StudentList which contains more than one records like
    Id Name
    01 XXX
    02 YYY
    03 ZZZ
    I tried to assign the result of the above query in a variable and while trying to log the variable, I can see the below
    <student>
    <Name>XXX</Name>
    </student>
    I want to have all the records from my table in xml format but it's not coming up. I get the value only from the first row of my table.
    Please suggest.

  • Retrive Multiple Records Into A database Block

    hi, all
    i would like to know if there is any document or references wich illustrait the way of retriving Multi records from a procedure built on database side into a database block using form 6i ??
    My Problem is : i create a procedure in the database which retrive a multiple records and the variable from procedure (out) are the same value from Form side (in). but it always fetch the whole records at the same record position in the block as the cursor raised on . i found a way explian how to mintain a set or record using a record type and create a table of that record type , but still don't' know how deal calling the procedure from the form side .
    Any advice of this issue will be greatfull and if sample of code provided will be better
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Omar

    You can try something like this:
    PROCEDURE POPULATE_BLOCK IS
    cursor c1 is
    SELECT <your column names>
    FROM <your table name>
    where <your where condition>
    BEGIN
    open c1;
    go_block('<your block name');
    first_record;
    loop
    fetch c1 into
    :<your block name>.<your column name 1>,
    :<your block name>.<your column name 2>,
    etc,etc
    exit when c1%NOTFOUND;
    next_record;
    end loop;
    close c1;
    first_record;
    END;
    so your code might actually look something like this:
    PROCEDURE POPULATE_BLOCK IS
    cursor c1 is
    SELECT distinct
         a.pog_dept
         ,a.pog_number
         ,a.pog_level
         ,a.pog_id
    ,a.start_date
         ,a.transmit_date
    ,a.deactivate_date
         ,b.pog_description
    FROM pog_stores_msi a, pog_master_msi b
    where a.pog_dept = :b_main.bi_dept
    and a.pog_number = :b_main.bi_pog_number
    and a.pog_level = :b_main.bi_pog_level
    AND A.POG_ID = :B_MAIN.I_POG_ID
    and a.pog_dept = b.pog_dept
    and a.pog_number = b.pog_number
    and a.pog_id = b.pog_id;
    BEGIN
    open c1;
    go_block('b_main');
    first_record;
    loop
    fetch c1 into
    :b_main.bi_dept
    ,:b_main.bi_pog_number
    ,:b_main.bi_pog_level
    ,:b_main.i_pog_id
    ,:b_main.i_start_date
    ,:b_main.i_transmit_date
    ,:b_main.i_deactivate_date
    ,:b_main.i_pog_desc;
    exit when c1%NOTFOUND;
    next_record;
    end loop;
    close c1;
    END;
    Hope this helps,

  • Fetching many records all at once is no faster than fetching one at a time

    Hello,
    I am having a problem getting NI-Scope to perform adequately for my application.  I am sorry for the long post, but I have been going around and around with an NI engineer through email and I need some other input.
    I have the following software and equipment:
    LabView 8.5
    NI-Scope 3.4
    PXI-1033 chassis
    PXI-5105 digitizer card
    DELL Latitude D830 notebook computer with 4 GB RAM.
    I tested the transfer speed of my connection to the PXI-1033 chassis using the niScope Stream to Memory Maximum Transfer Rate.vi found here:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5273.  The result was 101 MB/s.
    I am trying to set up a system whereby I can press the start button and acquire short waveforms which are individually triggered.  I wish to acquire these individually triggered waveforms indefinitely.  Furthermore, I wish to maximize the rate at which the triggers occur.   In the limiting case where I acquire records of one sample, the record size in memory is 512 bytes (Using the formula to calculate 'Allocated Onboard Memory per Record' found in the NI PXI/PCI-5105 Specifications under the heading 'Waveform Specifications' pg. 16.).  The PXI-5105 trigger re-arms in about 2 microseconds (500kHz), so to trigger at that rate indefinetely I would need a transfer speed of at least 256 Mb/s.  So clearly, in this case the limiting factor for increasing the rate I trigger at and still be able to acquire indefinetely is the rate at which I transfer records from memory to my PC.
    To maximize my record transfer rate, I should transfer many records at once using the Multi Fetch VI, as opposed to the theoretically slower method of transferring one at a time.  To compare the rate that I can transfer records using a transfer all at once or one at a time method, I modified the niScope EX Timestamps.vi to allow me to choose between these transfer methods by changing the constant wired to the Fetch Number of Records property node to either -1 or 1 repectively.  I also added a loop that ensures that all records are acquired before I begin the transfer, so that acquisition and trigger rates do not interfere with measuring the record transfer rate.  This modified VI is attached to this post.
    I have the following results for acquiring 10k records.  My measurements are done using the Profile Performance and Memory Tool.
    I am using a 250kHz analog pulse source.
    Fetching 10000 records 1 record at a time the niScope Multi Fetch
    Cluster takes a total time of 1546.9 milliseconds or 155 microseconds
    per record.
    Fetching 10000 records at once the niScope Multi Fetch Cluster takes a
    total time of 1703.1 milliseconds or 170 microseconds per record.
    I have tried this for larger and smaller total number of records, and the transfer time per is always around 170 microseconds per record regardless if I transfer one at a time or all at once.  But with a 100MB/s link and 512 byte record size, the Fetch speed should approach 5 microseconds per record as you increase the number of records fetched at once.
    With this my application will be limited to a trigger rate of 5kHz for running indefinetely, and it should be capable of closer to a 200kHz trigger rate for extended periods of time.  I have a feeling that I am missing something simple or am just confused about how the Fetch functions should work. Please enlighten me.

    Hi ESD
    Your numbers for testing the PXI bandwidth look good.  A value of
    approximately 100MB/s is reasonable when pulling data accross the PXI
    bus continuously in larger chunks.  This may decrease a little when
    working with MXI in comparison to using an embedded PXI controller.  I
    expect you were using the streaming example "niScope Stream to Memory
    Maximum Transfer Rate.vi" found here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5273.
    Acquiring multiple triggered records is a little different.  There are
    a few techniques that will help to make sure that you are able to fetch
    your data fast enough to be able to keep up with the acquired data or
    desired reference trigger rate.  You are certainly correct that it is
    more efficient to transfer larger amounts of data at once, instead of
    small amounts of data more frequently as the overhead due to DMA
    transfers becomes significant.
    The trend you saw that fetching less records was more efficient sounded odd.  So I ran your example and tracked down what was causing that trend.  I believe it is actually the for loop that you had in your acquisition loop.  I made a few modifications to the application to display the total fetch time to acquire 10000 records.  The best fetch time is when all records are pulled in at once. I left your code in the application but temporarily disabled the for loop to show the fetch performance. I also added a loop to ramp the fetch number up and graph the fetch times.  I will attach the modified application as well as the fetch results I saw on my system for reference.  When the for loop is enabled the performance was worst at 1 record fetches, The fetch time dipped  around the 500 records/fetch and began to ramp up again as the records/fetch increases to 10000.
    Note I am using the 2D I16 fetch as it is more efficient to keep the data unscaled.  I have also added an option to use immediate triggering - this is just because I was not near my hardware to physically connect a signal so I used the trigger holdoff property to simulate a given trigger rate.
    Hope this helps.  I was working in LabVIEW 8.5, if you are working with an earlier version let me know.

  • Forms pulling Multiple Records from an XML Schema and XML data files - Adobe LiveCycle Designer

    I built a form in Adobe LiveCycle with an xml schema and data file.  The problem is with how the form renders the xml data file.
    I have a statement element that consists of about 6 fields (statementID, statementName, statementAddress, statementCountry, statementZip, statementDate, etc) of data in the schema that allows for multiple iterations - so one xml data file can contain multiple statements. These fields allow for null values.
    But here's the problem:  When any of the statements - say statement 2 of 6 - has a null value in one of the fields, if the xml data file doesn't have a placeholder
    (example of placeholder:  <statementName type="String"/>   )in the xml for that field, my form pulls the field value from the NEXT statement.
    This corrupts all the rest of the statement records, as this field is shifted up for all the rest.
    I know that in the past I haven't needed a placeholder when a field was null. But I'm wondering if when the data allows for multiple records the xml data file needs to generate the placeholder.  And where is the problem? In the Schema? The xml data file? My form?  And the 64-thousand-dollar question:  How to fix it?

    If your <statement> element is the one that repeats, it should be bound to a subform with the binding string of something like $.statement[*]. Then in that subform should be your fields and they should have bindings of $.statementID, $.statementName, $.statementAddress, etc.

  • Problem Multiple record navigation in oracle forms

    I retrieve multiple records using cursor fetch command in the select query i have given condition to retrieve details of employee no.
    For example if we are giving an input as empno:100 then it retrieves two records of same emp no(100).It displays 2/3 records in the task bar when i navigate using push buttons it displays an empty record in the interface provided.(ie 3/3 records).How to avoid third unknown record displaying in the interface.

    most likely the problem is during the population of the block using the query.
    i assume that you are creating one additional record after the last record from your query..
    so this must be either with the CREATE_RECORD or NEXT_RECORD problem in the loop.so you should check in the loop first if the record exists, then do CREATE_RECORD or NEXT_RECORD.
