Placeholder problem
Hi,
I am using WLCS 3.5/WLS 6.0 service pack 2/Oracle 8.1.6 with WebLogic
jdrivers (816_7)(weblogicoci37.dll) and am trying to display the sample
application. When the placeholders are loading I get the following

Thanks for your help - everything fine with Oracle 8.1.7 - I had indeed not
loaded the data under the correct user. Now feel really quite positive -
what a success for first thing on a Monday morning! Placeholders etc all

Also, any chance that your Oracle Client and Oracle Database are ofdifferent

I could not replicate the problem, but with IE8 increasing in popularity it may ease your concerns somewhat.
IE8 is more (CSS) compliant than its older siblings and the problem may be seated within the CSS-area. I have noticed that you make heavy use of tables rather than divs and spans. My experience is that IE tends to behave better when not using tables.
My view, for what it is worth, you can spend a lot of time in Vollkommenheit, but if it is perfect for more than 60% of the users (and increasing), I would not worry about it. You could, as an alternative, detect the browser and if <IE8 tell the user to upgrade in order to get a better experience.

How do I unlock placeholders when editing a Word document in Pages
I think that this is a placeholder problem. The final word of a sentence is now on the next line - when I put the cursor in front of this word and hit the delete button the second last word of the sentence now comes down onto the second line. Any suggestions please?
No it simply means you have deleted the space between the 2 words and for some reason the layout won't fit the last or the last two words on the previous line. Perhaps there is also a non-breaking space between them.
We can't see your document but you can:
Menu > View > Show Invisibles/Layout
And try and work out what is causing your text to be positioned as it is. Word wrap around objects can cause text to move and various line breaking rules, like orphans and widows can keep lines together etc.

Have AE7; Problem importing prproj file into pc; get placeholder instead. What do I need to do to open up the video files here. They are .mov in quicktime.
Please be more specific. What Premiere project? What version of Premiere? Which operating system? What CoDecs do the QT fiels use? Are all the video files in the correct folders inside the Premiere project structure? Your description sounds like you are attempting to open a Mac based project on a PC and your video files are either in the wrong location or use a Mac-specific CoDec, hence they cannot be read on a PC.

Problem with a placeholder that isn't a placeholder
I submitted a book created with iBooks Author. Apple keeps ticketing me and saying that I have placeholder text in a pop-up.
The text in the pop-up is something that I typed in. It's not lorem ipsum ...
How do I get Apple to see this?Silly questions.... do you have more than one pop up...have you scrolled top to bottom to check ?
Apple are 99.99999% right when thn report errors, so its odds on that somewhere you will find the text mentioned.
There are times I have pasted into a pip over box thinking I had selected the placesholder text so it would be over written...only to find it still there with my content.
Suggestion: Also check you have not added a shape and accidentally typed into it - ditto - text box.
How do I get Apple to see this?
I had this situation and in the end askked the review team to identify the page - which the did and it turned out to be an "empty" text box under a photo image. -
Problem with placeholder images
Hi,
I am building an iBooks Author template from the scratch. I am adding placeholder images all around one of my layouts, but when adding new sections based upon this layout, dragging real images to placeholder ones does not work so long. The placeholder image frame even does not highlight.
When I mouse over the placeholder image there is a message saying "This is a placeholder image, etc." but all efforts to drag any JPEG, PNG... image over it were successful. I have no idea what is happening. Placeholders are not blocked in my layouts, etc. etc.
Any suggestion?

Anyway here are the steps I took to try it out, was working on sections layouts so went on the layout panel and rightclicked a section layout to duplicate it. Then cleaned it compleately and placed into it my design elements. On those I needed as placeolders I kept them unloacked and checked the Format Advance make media placeholder option command + alt + control + I, then i brought it to the top and saved the layout and tried to applay it to a section in the book.
The layout gets applied and the image if pointed with the mouse says "this is a placeholder..." but when I try to grab a nuew one and drop in it, it does not get focus and I get a new image inserted into the page.
What am I doing worng? -
Problem creating Flash video placeholder
I'm using this code to load a swf with an flv video file. The Flash movie also has a jpg placeholder that loads before the user clicks the video start button on the control panel. When the user clicks the start button, the placeholder overlay is tweened out of the picture and the video plays. This is what the code is upposed to do but it isn't loading the video. Can anyone tell me why this isn't working or what I can do to make it work? This is meant to have an image rather than a black box before the user starts a video on a web page. Thanks. Muse tutorial problems; ridged leaf placeholder graphic nonexistent, YouTube video embed problems
I've just started using Muse and it looks pretty great so far. I've been doing the Katie's Cafe tutorial and everything's worked out. However, when I got to "Adding a lightbox feature that displays video hosted on a third-party server" I ran into some trouble. Specifically, the tutorial speaks several times about a "ridged leaf placeholder graphic." Something I just don't see. Beyond that, I'm finding that what it says the Selection Indicator should say, and what it actually says are slightly off. And, finally, I've been unable to paste the YouTube embee code into the right spot, no matter what I do. It really seems like there's some sort of difference bwteen the muse used for this tutorial and the Muse I'm using.
Sorry for the confusion. There appears to be an error in the tutorial. I'll follow-up with the proper people to get the tutorial fixed. The new version of the lightbox composition does not contain those placeholder images.
You should be able to click on the main gray area and paste your embed code. See the screenshot below:

Problem when defining as Media Placeholder

I 'm using Keynote 6.5.3 (latest version) on a mid-2011 iMac on Yosemite 10.10.3
I am creating a new Master slide, where I have various elements on top of a photo that I want to "Define as a Media Placeholder" so, the user should be able to change the background photo.
As long as I am editing the Master slide everything looks correct.
When I go on and create a new slide based on this Master slide, the photo somehow gets arranged on top of everything and hides them!
Apparently this is a bug but has anyone managed to figure a way around this?My bad.

Problem with loading and unloading external swfs

I'm pretty new to as3, and it's giving me a great challenge. I have a large number of captivate files that I want to play inside a simple container built in CS5.5... but switching back and forth between all the movies hogs the memory like crazy, so I need something to clean it up. All code is in a single frame on the main timeline. First, I create the loader:

Upon clicking on the menu (and thus switching movies), I get the following error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

And this doesn't make sense to me. The FlashLoader is given a placeholder swf at the beginning, so why would the FlashLoader inside the function be recognized as having a null object reference?

Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome
Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome. Works in IE. This is my first time trying to post a question - so please be kind. I am also not good with code and am finding css a real challenge after learning to design based on tables. I'm using CS5.

I realize the images are not ideally sized - I'll fix those once I get the pages to function. Maybe I need a different slide show? I would prefer a widget that I can modify to required size & postition. Again - I'm not good at building with code from scratch.
The problem is the naviagation links that are directly next to the slide show do not work in Firefox of Chrome. They do work in IE.
I've read about using jQuery.noConflict(); code but can't figure out the correct way to use it in my case or whether that's even part of the solution. I know my code is not well organized as I have cobbled together from various sources in an attempt to format the page the way the client wants it. Also, FYI, I will eventually try to make the page work in Surreal CMS.
I've spent sevaral days over the last several weeks trying to solve sth slide show/navigation conflict - so any specific light you can shed will be much appreciated.

I'm having a problem with a spry menu bar. It works fine in Firefox and Google Chrome, but in Internet Explorer the submenus shift to the right.

Problem with images in XML with excel output
Hello:
I made an XML concurrent program, with excel output, but i am having a problem:
The rtf template has a logo (bmp image), but it is not showing in the excel (if i execute the concurrent in the oracle applications). However, if i create the xml in Oracle Reports in my computer, and then load that xml in the rdf template in word, i can see the logo in the excel preview. I don't know why is it not showing when i execute the program in applications.
If someone can help me with this, i will be very grateful.

In RDF there is a placeholder for image, and the image is located in certain location, at runtime it picks and render the output with logo.
but xml CP, will get the data in xml type and merge with rtf to get the output you wanted..
if you have the rtf with logo embedded in it, if output is of pdf or rtf output , then it will display the logo ,.
in excel currently it is not possible to show the logo,..
excel you see could be xml-excel or csv-excel not the true binary excel.
to get the logo embedded ,for that you have to wait on tim for the excel template, which will be release in near future i guess.. -
Detail-Disclosure problem with Master- Detail VO
Hi,
I have UIX pages based on Master - Detail VO, detail data being shown when you press Detail button on the left, detail data display in the BC4J Table correctly, but I am able to update only the last record of the rowset. when I click on the first master detail and press update button i get Null Pointer Exeception error and other problem is that my detail data has sorted headers, when i click on the sorted column header, it close the Detail portion on the Table.
Here is UIX page listing, please any one review the code and let me what is wrong

</page>I think the detailDisclosure state needs to be saved and retrieved from the session.
I'm not sure using a table with singleSelection inside a detail disclosure is supported. Are you doing master-detail inside of detail disclosure? Detail disclosure is not really meant for that. In jdev 10g preview we make hooking up a master-detail easy. Here's a link to some doc about it.
