Placing table in layout from the dynamically generted XML

Hi
         I have created an xml & Tags (for table, inside indesign dynamically), I want it should be converted to table when I place it in layout.When I try to place it on layout only tagged text is displayed no table is created. And when I export and import the same xml from the document, the table is created in the layout.
But I dont want to do by export/import. I want just to drag and drop the xml on the layout and the table should be generated. Please tell if anyone has the solution of this
Thanks
Ranjan

Thats because you have height 110px set on the 'itemboxfloat' <div>. When you add padding to it, say padding-top: 20px; the divs height becomes 130px. Never set height on a <div> which contains text.

  • Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file

    So, after having trouble with my Photoshop scratch disk, I had to do an archive and install of my Mac OS 10.6.1 then reinstall the Adobe suite. I then had to run the Licensing Repair Tool (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html).
    Now everything works but Dreamweaver, which is throwing the following error:
    "Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file.
    Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to menus.xml"
    I tried that. menus.bak is a directory, not a file. Even renaming the directory didn't work.
    I saw this http://forums.adobe.com/message/2188511#2188511
    but I don't have a /FlashPlayerTrust/ directory, nor do I see what that has to do with Dreamweaver.
    I couldn't find a corresponding solution for this http://forums.adobe.com/message/862339#862339 for the Mac OS.
    This http://forums.adobe.com/message/3396334#3396334 didn't help, either.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks!

    This is the error I got after deleting (moving) the configuration directory.
    "No document types have been found in the Configuration/DocumentTypes/ folder. The MMDocumentTypes.xml file may be missing or corrupted. The application will exit now."
    I've reinstalled the entire Adobe CS4 (which fixed my Photoshop problem but created this Dreamweaver problem) and then reinstalled Dreamweaver alone.
    I've also attached a screenshot of the Dreamweaver directory tree with the menus.xml files.

    hi,
    1 there is one property OnAction of the button...
    2 So, in this event handler,you have to read the context node to which ur table is binded
    3 use the code wizard
    control+f7
    , and use the method
    get_static_attribute_table
    4 now u have got the vaues in internal table,so now as pointed in the previous reply, you can use the
    Update
    or
    Modify
    statement...

  • Fill dynamic internal table with data from another dynamic table

    Hi,
    I have a huge dynamic table with a few columns and need to fill another dynamic table with some of the columns, that are also existing in the other one. I first know at runtime, which fields the smaller table contains.
    Until now, I did it that way:
      LOOP AT <it_tab_structure> ASSIGNING <wa_tab_structure>.
        LOOP AT lt_comp_full INTO ls_comp_full.
          ASSIGN COMPONENT ls_comp_full-name OF STRUCTURE <structure> TO <column>.
          ASSIGN COMPONENT ls_comp_full-name OF STRUCTURE <wa_tab_structure> TO <value>.
          <column> = <value>.
        ENDLOOP.
        APPEND <structure> TO <table>.
      ENDLOOP.
    lt_comp_full contains the columns of the second table, that have to be filled.
    This is taking a very long time, as there can be a lot of columns in the source table and the source table contains at least 100000 records.
    Is there therefore any way to fill the other table faster?
    Thank you & best regards,
    Michael

    Hey Sharath,
    thank you for your answer! Unfortunately I don't have a 7.4 system here, but your example pointed out, that I can also use move-corresponding from one structure to the other, which I thought, was not possible. I'm trying out, if this makes it faster now.
    I'll let you all know, if this made the deal.
    Thank you & best regards,
    Michael & Arne

  • Read Data from the dynamic Field Symbol with key ?

    Dear All,
    I've  2 dynamic internal tables in the form of field symbols.
    Now,I want to loop the item field symbol, read the header field symbol content and then move the corresponding into a final field symbol.
    How to read the field symbol with key ?
    When I'm trying to give the key clause in the paranthesis it's giving a syntax error.
    Any clues ?

    ASSIGN itab TO <fs>.
    READ TABLE <fs> WITH TABLE KEY (key) = 'X' INTO wa.
    The internal table itab is assigned to the generic field symbol <fs>, after which it is possible to address the table key of the field symbol dynamically. However, the static address
    READ TABLE <fs> WITH TABLE KEY col1 = 'X' INTO wa.
    is not possible syntactically, since the field symbol does not adopt the key of table itab until runtime. In the program, the type specification ANY TABLE only indicates that <fs> is a table. If the type had been ANY (or no type had been specified at all), even the specific internal table statement READ TABLE <fs>  would not have been possible from a syntax point of view.

  • Table - populate one table with data from the list of another table

    Hello All,
    I am a newbie in Swing and am a book and few tutorials old.
    I am trying to achieve the following:
    (1) I populate Table1 (a JTable) with a list of data - each row consists of several columns. And I have a Table2 (also JTable) that is in the beginning empty.
    Both the tables (Table1 and Table2) are showed in the window.
    (2) Lets say, there's a button (JButton) in between the two tables.
    Now if I Select a row from Table1 and press the button, this row will be sent/copied to Table2.
    And this way I can choose different rows and pass the data to Table2.
    I have manages to make Table1 and put data in it ... but for the rest, I don't know where and how to begin.
    Would appreciate some ideas and tips.
    Thank you.

    Since you are using a button to start the copy process you don't need to worry about a ListSelectionListener or a MouseListener. You need to create a button with an ActionListener that does the following:
    a) Create an Array based on the size of the number of columns in the table
    b) get the index of the selected row
    c) populate the Array with data from the TableModel by using the table.getModel().getValueAt(...) method for each
    d) Now you can add the row of data to the other JTable by updating its model.
    DefaultTableModel model2 = (DefaultTableModel)table2.getMode();
    model.addRow( theArray );

  • Bug in Excel's handling of metadata? Or at least a deviation from the Open Office XML specification?

    I've discovered some very strange behaviour in Excel which seems to be contrary to that documented in the Open Office XML specification (OOXML). I couldn't find a way to report bugs against Excel, so I thought I'd try to explain the issue here.
    In short it seems that Excel is removing, and incorrectly re-indexing the metadata I programatically associate with cells.
    First, a summary of the relevant parts of the specification:
    From OOXML 18.9: There are two types of metadata: "cell metadata" and "value metadata".
    Cell metadata follows the cell as it moves. Value metadata follows the value through formulae etc.
    From OOXML 18.3.1.4: The c (cell) element has cm and vm attributes which are both documented as "The zero-based index of the [cell|value] metadata...in the Metadata Part"
    From OOXML 18.9.17: The valueMetadata is "a collection of block element that each define the value metadata for a particular cell". "Cells in the workbook index into this collection".
    The valueMetadata contains bk elements which in turn contain rc (metadata record) elements
    From OOXML 18.9.15: rc elements have t (type index) and v (value index) attributes. t is a 1-based index into metadataTypes and v is a 0-based index into the futureMetadata element which matches the name of the metadata type.
    Here's an example of what this might look like:
    <c vm="0"> <!-- vm points to the first bk inside valueMetadata below -->
    <x:valueMetadata>
    <x:bk>
    <x:rc t="1" v="0" /> <!-- t points to the first metadataType below. v points to the first bk in the futureMetadata below (whose name matches the metadataType to which t points) -->
    </x:bk>
    </x:valueMetadata>
    <x:metadataTypes>
    <x:metadataType name="MyMetaType" ... /> <!-- name dictates which futureMetadata valueMetadata's v attribute indexes into -->
    </x:metadataTypes>
    <x:futureMetadata name="MyMetaType" ...>
    <x:bk>
    <x:extLst>
    <x:ext xmlns:x="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main" uri="http://example.com/extension" p5:value="test value" xmlns:p5="http://example.com/extension" />
    </x:extLst>
    </x:bk>
    </x:futureMetadata>
    The Problem
    From what I can tell, for values of n > 2, if you associate n cells with metadata, Excel will drop the last piece of metadata, and the one at index 1, and it will do so silently. The indices are then 0..n-3, and the association for all but the first (0
    index) will be wrong. This renders the future metadata totally useless.
    For n == 1, Excel just removes the last piece of metadata (index 1). If we try 1-based indexes for the vm attribute on the c element, we get different behaviour. This may not be relevant as it is contrary to the specification, but the slightly better behaviour
    might indicate an off-by-one error:
    n
    Deleted Indices (0-based) when using 0-based indices
    Deleted Indices (0-based) when using 1-based indices

    Demonstrating the Problem
    I have some example code[1] that demonstrates the problem. You will need a file called test.xlsx with cells A1..C2 populated.
    Compile the source as AddMetadata.exe then run with the test file as the only parameter:
    > AddMetadata.exe test.xlsx
    You can look at test.xlsx in Excel, Visual Studio (with the Open XML Package Editor Power Tool for Visual Studio 2010) or the Open XML SDK 2.0 Productivity Tool for Microsoft Office. Looking at the file before and after running AddMetadata.exe you should
    be able to reproduce the behaviour documented above.
    Summary
    It would be good to know if this is really an Excel bug or whether we're doing something wrong / unsupported. Any insight would be very much appreciated.

    If you create a metadatatype with a single metdata block, and you reference that in your vm/cm cell attribute using a *one* based index, Excel seems to see the link and it honors it when saving the spreadsheet.
    So, I ended up with something like:
    <c ... cm="1"/> (I'm dealing with cell metadata, but the concept is equivalente to value metadata)
    <metadataTypes count="1">
      <metadataType name="MyMetaType" .../>
    </metadataTypes>
    <futureMetadata count="1" name="MyMetaType">
      <bk>
        <extLst><ext
    uri="http://example" xmlns:x="http://example"><x:val>87</x:val></ext></extLst>
      </bk>
    </futureMetadata>
    <cellMetadata count="1">
      <bk><rc
    t="1" v="0"/></bk> <!-- this is what gets referenced as cm=1 on the cell -->
    </cellMetadata>
    Hope this helps.

  • Updating flash from a dynamically changing XML file

    Creating a non-interactive status display: I want to have the
    flash display reflect data in a server-based XML-file. So far this
    is easy. But I want the display to change everytime the XML file
    changes-- in order to reflect status changes. I've used an
    XMLConnector and specified it and the trigger in the first frame.
    The Flash code catches and shows the XML values initially . But
    when I edit the XML file, the new values are never picked up by
    Flash- its almost as though the values are cached. How do I get
    Flash to regularly be updated from a changing XML file? I've also
    tried putting the trigger in a loop- but that doesn't work
    either.

    I DID find a solution with setInterval, but there is still a
    problem of a diffeent sort.
    When using XMLConnector, it appears that
    XMLConnector.trigger() is the thing that goes out and gets new data
    from the server. so:
    function checkForData():Void {
    myXML.trigger();
    <<handle new values of bound data>>
    var intervalID:Number = setInterval(checkForData, 10000);
    works very well by executing the trigger every 10000
    timeunits. This all works when run in the Flash Player. However, if
    I embed the thing in a webpage (with either FireFox or IE7 or 6),
    It stops triggering after the first time. Interestingly if I also
    run the Flash Player version, then the web version keeps updating,
    but stops if I kill the Player. So, I'm wondering: whats up with
    this?

  • Creating a list from the output of Xml parsing

    i extracted all the Folder name from the xml file.. (Thanks to Mr.Peter_vd_Wal..... [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5388524&tstart=0|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5388524&tstart=0] )
    the xml file is
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <folders>
      <folder><name>A</name><uid>C1</uid></folder>
      <folder><name>B</name><uid>C2</uid></folder>
      <folder><name>C</name><uid>C3</uid></folder>
      <folder><name>D</name><uid>C4</uid></folder>
      <folder><name>E</name><uid>C5</uid></folder>
    </folders>
    now i want create a list of folders form the output.
    i tried....
    public void endDocument() throws SAXException
        StringBuffer result = new StringBuffer();
        for (int i=0; i<nodes.size(); i++)
          Noden currentnode = (Noden)nodes.elementAt(i);
          result.append(" \"" + currentnode.getName() +  "\" ,");
         midlet.alert(result.toString());
         System.out.println(result);
    ...........and
    protected void alert(String msg)
        Display display = Display.getDisplay(this);
       String[] stringElements = {msg};
        List list = new List("Listing",List.IMPLICIT,stringElements,null);
        display.setCurrent(list);
    ....the output i get is
    "A" , "B" , "C" , "D" , "E" ,i want a LIST of folders.... like
    A
    B
    C
    D
    Ebut i get all the folders as the first option in the list.
    > "A" , "B" , "C" , "D" , "E" ,

    ... i get all the folders as the first option in the list.
    "A" , "B" , "C" , "D" , "E" ,
    WYSIWYC (What You See Is What You Coded) - with code like your, above is the correct behavior.
    To make a list of folders, I'd rather try something like this....
    public void endDocument() throws SAXException
        String[] result = new String[nodes.size()];
        for (int i=0; i<nodes.size(); i++)
          Noden currentnode = (Noden)nodes.elementAt(i);
          result[i] = currentnode.getName();
          System.out.println(result);
    midlet.createAndDisplayList(result);
    System.out.println("createAndDisplayList called");
    and//.....
    protected void createAndDisplayList(String[] msg)
    Display display = Display.getDisplay(this);
    List list = new List("Listing", List.IMPLICIT, msg, null);
    display.setCurrent(list);

  • Trying to save the data from the pdf into XML

    I have Adobe Live Cycle 8.0 installed and without the blade for Reader Extension.
    The objective is to save the editable data from the pdf into a XML file
    the code for that is:
    // to fetch the input pdf file from the local drive
    FileInputStream fileInputStream2 = new FileInputStream("C:\\Adobe-Final PDF\\stitched_Letters.pdf");
    Document inPDF = new Document(fileInputStream2);
    Properties connectionProps=new Properties();
    connectionProps.load(new FileInputStream(_propertiesPath));
    //propertiesPath is the path of the properties file
    ServiceClientFactory myFactory = ServiceClientFactory.createInstance(connectionProps);
    FormDataIntegrationClient dataClient = new FormDataIntegrationClient(myFactory);
    Document resultPDF=dataClient.exportData(inPDF);
    What happens is that this ultimate resultPDF does not get the XML with data but rather with empty tags. Does this require Reader Extension?

    //Set connection properties required to invoke LiveCycle ES
    Properties connectionProps = new Properties();
    connectionProps.setProperty("DSC_DEFAULT_EJB_ENDPOINT", "jnp://localhost:1099");
    connectionProps.setProperty("DSC_TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL","EJB");
    connectionProps.setProperty("DSC_SERVER_TYPE", "JBoss");
    connectionProps.setProperty("DSC_CREDENTIAL_USERNAME", "administrator");
    connectionProps.setProperty("DSC_CREDENTIAL_PASSWORD", "password");
    //Create a ServiceClientFactory object
    ServiceClientFactory myFactory = ServiceClientFactory.createInstance(connectionProps);
    //Create a FormDataIntegrationClient object
    FormDataIntegrationClient dataClient = new FormDataIntegrationClient(myFactory);
    //Reference a PDF form from which to export data
    FileInputStream fileInputStream2 = new FileInputStream("C:\\Adobe\\Loan.pdf");
    Document inputPDF = new Document(fileInputStream2);
    //Export data from the form
    Document resultPDF = dataClient.exportData(inputPDF);
    //Save the exported form data as an XML file
    File resultFile = new File("C:\\Adobe\\formData.xml");
    resultPDF.copyToFile(resultFile);
    }catch (Exception e) {

  • How to Extract the data from the database to XML Format

    Hi All,
    RepositoryItem userItem = getProfileRepository().getItem("user747", "user");
    String userAsXML = GetService.getItemAsXML(userItem,"profileMapping.xml");
    While searching, I got the above snippet. But i don't have any idea about to execute it. Can any one help me out.

    if you want to export all the repository data into an xml, you can use export
    C:\ATG\ATG 9.1\home
    bin\startSQLRepository -m ModuleName -export all outputfilename -repository pathtorepository
    C:\ATG\ATG9.1\home
    bin\startSQLRepository -m MotorPriseJSP -export all users.xml -repository /atg/userprofiling/ProfileAdapterRepository
    this will export all profile data from MotorPriseJSP to users.xml. Make sure you point correct datasource while executing this comamnd.
    Hope this helps !!!

    Thanks
    Naveen

    Naveen,
        Are yo having issue when you save something in the layout, the data doesn't appear in the listcube ? Or do you have issue that the latest data you see in the cube doesn't appear in the layout ?
    For the former issue, please look at your selections of listcube and for the second issue, please check your planning level definition, make sure all the restrictions you have applied are valid for this latest data to be presented in the layout.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers
    Srini
